1 Chronicles
Summary
Focuses entirely on the royal house of David, listing the sons born to him during his seven years at Hebron and his long reign in Jerusalem. The record traces the line of Solomon through the successive kings of Judah, documenting the royal succession through the period of the Babylonian exile and into the generations that followed the return. It provides a vital link between the ancient Davidic promises and the ongoing hope of the restoration.
