Phonetic (Greek): hyper basileon kai panton ton en hyperochῇ onton, hina eremon kai hesychion bion diagomen en pasῃ eysebeiᾳ kai semnoteti.
Edified Edition (EDE)For kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

3
Phonetic (Greek): ⸀toyto kalon kai apodekton enopion toy soteros hemon theoy,
Edified Edition (EDE)For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour,

4
Phonetic (Greek): hos pantas anthropous thelei sothenai kai eis epignosin aletheias elthein.
Edified Edition (EDE)Who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

5
Phonetic (Greek): ehis gar theos, ehis kai mesites theoy kai anthropon anthropos Christos Ἰesoys,
Edified Edition (EDE)For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

6
Phonetic (Greek): ho doys heauton antilytron hyper panton, to martyrion kairois idiois·
Edified Edition (EDE)Who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony to be given in its own time.

7
Phonetic (Greek): eis ho etethen ego keryx kai apostolos— aletheian ⸀lego, oy pseydomai— didaskalos ethnon en pistei kai aletheiᾳ.
Edified Edition (EDE)For which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I speak the truth in Christ and do not lie), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

8
Phonetic (Greek): Boylomai oyn proseychesthai toys andras en panti topῳ, epairontas hosious cheiras choris orges kai ⸀dialogismoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)I desire therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands without wrath or doubting.

9
Phonetic (Greek): hosaytos ⸀kai gynaikas en katastolῇ kosmiῳ meta aidoys kai sophrosynes kosmein heautas, me en plegmasin ⸀kai ⸀chrysiῳ e margaritais e himatismῷ polytelei,
Edified Edition (EDE)Likewise, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing;

10

14
Phonetic (Greek): kai Ἀdam oyk epatethe, he de gyne ⸀exapatetheisa en parabasei gegonen.
Edified Edition (EDE)And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived fell into transgression.
