2 Corinthians

Chapter 11
1
Phonetic (Greek): Ὄphelon aneichesthe mou mikron ⸀ti ⸀aphrosynes· alla kai anechesthe mou.
Edified Edition (EDE)Oh, that you would bear with me in a little folly, and indeed you do bear with me.

2
Phonetic (Greek): zelo gar hymas theoy zelῳ, hermosamen gar hymas heni andri parthenon hagnen parastesai tῷ Christῷ·
Edified Edition (EDE)For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

3
Phonetic (Greek): phoboymai de me pos, hos ho ophis ⸂exepatesen Ehyan⸃ en tῇ panourgiᾳ aytoy, ⸀phtharῇ ta noemata hymon apo tes haplotetos ⸂kai tes hagnotetos⸃ tes eis ton Christon.
Edified Edition (EDE)But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

4
Phonetic (Greek): ei men gar ho erchomenos allon Ἰesoyn keryssei hon oyk ekeryxamen, e pneyma heteron lambanete ho oyk elabete, e eyangelion heteron ho oyk edexasthe, kalos ⸀anechesthe.
Edified Edition (EDE)For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you may well put up with it!

5
Phonetic (Greek): logizomai gar meden hysterekenai ton hyperlian apostolon·
Edified Edition (EDE)For I consider that I am not at all inferior to the most eminent apostles.

6
Phonetic (Greek): ei de kai idiotes tῷ logῳ, allʼ oy tῇ gnosei, allʼ en panti ⸀phanerosantes en pasin eis hymas.
Edified Edition (EDE)Even though I am untrained in speech, yet I am not in knowledge. But we have been thoroughly manifested among you in all things.

7
Phonetic (Greek): Ἢ hamartian epoiesa emauton tapeinon hina hymeis hypsothete, hoti dorean to toy theoy eyangelion eyengelisamen hymin;
Edified Edition (EDE)Did I commit sin in humbling myself that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge?

Ἢ ἁμαρτίαν ἐποίησα ἐμαυτὸν ταπεινῶν ἵνα ὑμεῖς ὑψωθῆτε, ὅτι δωρεὰν τὸ τοῦ θεοῦ εὐαγγέλιον εὐηγγελισάμην ὑμῖν;

8
Phonetic (Greek): allas ekklesias esylesa labon opsonion pros ten hymon diakonian,
Edified Edition (EDE)I robbed other churches, taking wages from them to minister to you.

9
Phonetic (Greek): kai paron pros hymas kai hysteretheis oy katenarkesa oythenos· to gar hysterema mou prosaneplerosan ohi adelphoi elthontes apo Makedonias· kai en panti abare ⸂emauton hymin⸃ eteresa kai tereso.
Edified Edition (EDE)And when I was present with you and in need, I was a burden to no one, for what I lacked the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied. And in everything I kept myself from being burdensome to you, and so I will keep myself.

10
Phonetic (Greek): estin aletheia Christoy en emoi hoti he kaychesis ahyte oy phragesetai eis eme en tois klimasi tes Ἀchaias.
Edified Edition (EDE)As the truth of Christ is in me, no one shall stop me from this boasting in the regions of Achaia.

11
Phonetic (Greek): dia ti; hoti oyk agapo hymas; ho theos oiden.
Edified Edition (EDE)Why? Because I do not love you? God knows!

12
Phonetic (Greek): Ὃ de poio kai poieso, hina ekkopso ten aphormen ton thelonton aphormen, hina en ho kauchontai ehyrethosin kathos kai hemeis.
Edified Edition (EDE)But what I do, I will also continue to do, that I may cut off the opportunity from those who desire an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the things of which they boast.

13
Phonetic (Greek): ohi gar toioytoi pseudapostoloi, ergatai dolioi, metaschematizomenoi eis apostolous Christoy·
Edified Edition (EDE)For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.

14
Phonetic (Greek): kai oy ⸀thayma, aytos gar ho Satanas metaschematizetai eis angelon photos·
Edified Edition (EDE)And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

15
Phonetic (Greek): oy mega oyn ei kai ohi diakonoi aytoy metaschematizontai hos diakonoi dikaiosynes, hon to telos estai kata ta erga ayton.
Edified Edition (EDE)Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

16
Phonetic (Greek): Palin lego, me tis me doxῃ aphrona einai— ei de me ge, kan hos aphrona dexasthe me, hina kago mikron ti kauchesomai·
Edified Edition (EDE)I say again, let no one think me a fool. If otherwise, at least receive me as a fool, that I also may boast a little.

17
Phonetic (Greek): ho lalo oy ⸂kata kyrion lalo⸃, allʼ hos en aphrosynῃ, en taytῃ tῇ hypostasei tes kaucheseos.
Edified Edition (EDE)What I speak, I speak not according to the Lord, but as it were, foolishly, in this confidence of boasting.

18
Phonetic (Greek): epei polloi kauchontai ⸀kata sarka, kago kauchesomai.
Edified Edition (EDE)Seeing that many boast according to the flesh, I also will boast.

19
Phonetic (Greek): hedeos gar anechesthe ton aphronon phronimoi ontes·
Edified Edition (EDE)For you put up with fools gladly, since you yourselves are wise!

20
Phonetic (Greek): anechesthe gar ei tis hymas katadouloi, ei tis katesthiei, ei tis lambanei, ei tis epairetai, ei tis ⸂eis prosopon hymas⸃ derei.
Edified Edition (EDE)For you put up with it if one brings you into bondage, if one devours you, if one takes from you, if one exalts himself, if one strikes you on the face.

21
Phonetic (Greek): kata atimian lego, hos hoti hemeis ⸀esthenekamen· en ho dʼ an tis tolmᾷ, en aphrosynῃ lego, tolmo kago.
Edified Edition (EDE)To our shame I say that we were too weak for that! But in whatever anyone is bold (I speak foolishly), I am bold also.

22
Phonetic (Greek): Ἑbraioi eisin; kago. Ἰsraelitai eisin; kago. sperma Ἀbraam eisin; kago.
Edified Edition (EDE)Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I.

23
Phonetic (Greek): diakonoi Christoy eisin; paraphronon lalo, hyper ego· en kopois perissoteros, en ⸂phylakais perissoteros, en plegais hyperballontos⸃, en thanatois pollakis·
Edified Edition (EDE)Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more: in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often.

24
Phonetic (Greek): hypo Ἰoudaion pentakis tesserakonta para mian elabon,
Edified Edition (EDE)From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one.

Edified Edition (EDE)in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brothers;

27
Phonetic (Greek): ⸀kopῳ kai mochthῳ, en agrypniais pollakis, en limῷ kai dipsei, en nesteiais pollakis, en psychei kai gymnoteti·
Edified Edition (EDE)in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness,

28
Phonetic (Greek): choris ton parektos he ⸀epistasis ⸀moi he kathʼ hemeran, he merimna pason ton ekklesion.
Edified Edition (EDE)besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches.

29
Phonetic (Greek): tis asthenei, kai oyk astheno; tis skandalizetai kai oyk ego pyroymai;
Edified Edition (EDE)Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation?

τίς ἀσθενεῖ, καὶ οὐκ ἀσθενῶ; τίς σκανδαλίζεται καὶ οὐκ ἐγὼ πυροῦμαι;

30
Phonetic (Greek): Ei kauchasthai dei, ta tes astheneias mou kauchesomai.
Edified Edition (EDE)If I must boast, I will boast of the things which concern my infirmity.

Edified Edition (EDE)The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying.
