2 Corinthians

Chapter 13
1
Phonetic (Greek): Triton toyto erchomai pros hymas· epi stomatos dyo martyron kai trion stathesetai pan ῥema.
Edified Edition (EDE)This will be the third time I am coming to you. "By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established."

2
Phonetic (Greek): proeireka kai prolego hos paron to deyteron kai apon ⸀nyn, tois proemartekosin kai tois loipois pasin, hoti ean eltho eis to palin oy pheisomai,
Edified Edition (EDE)I have told you before, and foretell as if I were present the second time, and now being absent I write to those who have sinned before, and to all the rest, that if I come again I will not spare,

3
Phonetic (Greek): epei dokimen zeteite toy en emoi laloyntos Christoy· hos eis hymas oyk asthenei alla dynatei en hymin,
Edified Edition (EDE)since you seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but mighty in you.

4
Phonetic (Greek): kai ⸀gar estaurothe ex astheneias, alla zῇ ek dynameos theoy. kai gar hemeis asthenoymen en aytῷ, alla ⸀zesomen syn aytῷ ek dynameos theoy eis hymas.
Edified Edition (EDE)For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.

Edified Edition (EDE)Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?, unless indeed you are disqualified.

6
Phonetic (Greek): elpizo de hoti gnosesthe hoti hemeis oyk esmen adokimoi.
Edified Edition (EDE)But I trust that you will know that we are not disqualified.

7
Phonetic (Greek): ⸀eychometha de pros ton theon me poiesai hymas kakon meden, oych hina hemeis dokimoi phanomen, allʼ hina hymeis to kalon poiete, hemeis de hos adokimoi omen.
Edified Edition (EDE)Now I pray to God that you do no evil, not that we should appear approved, but that you should do what is honourable, though we may seem disqualified.

8
Phonetic (Greek): oy gar dynametha ti kata tes aletheias, alla hyper tes aletheias.
Edified Edition (EDE)For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

9
Phonetic (Greek): chairomen gar hotan hemeis asthenomen, hymeis de dynatoi ete· ⸀toyto kai eychometha, ten hymon katartisin.
Edified Edition (EDE)For we are glad when we are weak and you are strong. And this also we pray, that you may be made complete.

10
Phonetic (Greek): dia toyto tayta apon grapho, hina paron me apotomos chresomai kata ten exousian hen ⸂ho kyrios edoken moi⸃, eis oikodomen kai oyk eis kathairesin.
Edified Edition (EDE)Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the authority which the Lord has given me for edification and not for destruction.

11
Phonetic (Greek): Loipon, adelphoi, chairete, katartizesthe, parakaleisthe, to ayto phroneite, eireneyete, kai ho theos tes agapes kai eirenes estai methʼ hymon.
Edified Edition (EDE)Finally, brothers, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

12
Phonetic (Greek): aspasasthe allelous en hagiῳ philemati. aspazontai hymas ohi hagioi pantes.
Edified Edition (EDE)Greet one another with a holy kiss.

13
Phonetic (Greek): he charis toy kyriou Ἰesoy Christoy kai he agape toy theoy kai he koinonia toy hagiou pneymatos meta panton ⸀hymon.
Edified Edition (EDE)All the saints greet you.
