2 Corinthians

Chapter 6
1
Phonetic (Greek): Synergoyntes de kai parakaloymen me eis kenon ten charin toy theoy dexasthai hymas·
Edified Edition (EDE)We then, as workers together with Him, also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

2
Phonetic (Greek): legei gar· Kairῷ dektῷ epekousa sou kai en hemerᾳ soterias eboethesa soi· idoy nyn kairos eyprosdektos, idoy nyn hemera soterias·
Edified Edition (EDE)For He says: "In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you." Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

3
Phonetic (Greek): medemian en medeni didontes proskopen, hina me momethῇ he diakonia,
Edified Edition (EDE)We give no offence in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed.

4
Phonetic (Greek): allʼ en panti ⸀synistanontes heautoys hos theoy diakonoi· en hypomonῇ pollῇ, en thlipsesin, en anankais, en stenochoriais,
Edified Edition (EDE)But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses,

5
Phonetic (Greek): en plegais, en phylakais, en akatastasiais, en kopois, en agrypniais, en nesteiais,
Edified Edition (EDE)in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in sleeplessness, in fastings;

6
Phonetic (Greek): en hagnoteti, en gnosei, en makrothymiᾳ, en chrestoteti, en pneymati hagiῳ, en agapῃ anypokritῳ,
Edified Edition (EDE)by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love,

7
Phonetic (Greek): en logῳ aletheias, en dynamei theoy· dia ton hoplon tes dikaiosynes ton dexion kai aristeron,
Edified Edition (EDE)by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

8
Phonetic (Greek): dia doxes kai atimias, dia dysphemias kai eyphemias· hos planoi kai aletheis,
Edified Edition (EDE)by honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true;

9
Phonetic (Greek): hos agnooymenoi kai epiginoskomenoi, hos apothnῄskontes kai idoy zomen, hos paideuomenoi kai me thanatoymenoi,
Edified Edition (EDE)as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed;

10
Phonetic (Greek): hos lypoymenoi aei de chairontes, hos ptochoi polloys de ploutizontes, hos meden echontes kai panta katechontes.
Edified Edition (EDE)as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

11
Phonetic (Greek): To stoma hemon aneῳgen pros hymas, Korinthioi, he kardia hemon peplatyntai·
Edified Edition (EDE)O Corinthians! We have spoken openly to you, our heart is wide open.

Edified Edition (EDE)You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections.

13
Phonetic (Greek): ten de ayten antimisthian, hos teknois lego, platynthete kai hymeis.
Edified Edition (EDE)Now in return for the same (I speak as to children), you also be open.

14
Phonetic (Greek): Me ginesthe heterozygoyntes apistois· tis gar metoche dikaiosynῃ kai anomiᾳ, ⸂e tis⸃ koinonia photi pros skotos;
Edified Edition (EDE)Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?

Μὴ γίνεσθε ἑτεροζυγοῦντες ἀπίστοις· τίς γὰρ μετοχὴ δικαιοσύνῃ καὶ ἀνομίᾳ, ⸂ἢ τίς⸃ κοινωνία φωτὶ πρὸς σκότος;

15
Phonetic (Greek): tis de symphonesis ⸀Christoy pros Beliar, e tis meris pistῷ meta apistou;
Edified Edition (EDE)And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?

τίς δὲ συμφώνησις ⸀Χριστοῦ πρὸς Βελιάρ, ἢ τίς μερὶς πιστῷ μετὰ ἀπίστου;

16
Phonetic (Greek): tis de synkatathesis naῷ theoy meta eidolon; ⸂hemeis gar naos theoy esmen⸃ zontos· kathos eipen ho theos hoti Ἐnoikeso en aytois kai emperipateso, kai esomai ayton theos, kai aytoi esontai ⸀mou laos.
Edified Edition (EDE)And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people."

17
Phonetic (Greek): dio exelthate ek mesou ayton, kai aphoristhete, legei kyrios, kai akathartou me haptesthe· kago eisdexomai hymas·
Edified Edition (EDE)Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you."

18
Phonetic (Greek): kai esomai hymin eis patera, kai hymeis esesthe moi eis yhioys kai thygateras, legei kyrios pantokrator.
Edified Edition (EDE)"I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty."
