Phonetic (Greek): ⸂Petros de⸃ kai Ἰoannes anebainon eis to hieron epi ten horan tes proseuches ten enaten,
Edified Edition (EDE)Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.

⸂Πέτρος δὲ⸃ καὶ Ἰωάννης ἀνέβαινον εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν ἐπὶ τὴν ὥραν τῆς προσευχῆς τὴν ἐνάτην,

Phonetic (Greek): kai tis aner cholos ek koilias metros aytoy hyparchon ebastazeto, hon etithoun kathʼ hemeran pros ten thyran toy hieroy ten legomenen Ὡraian toy aitein eleemosynen para ton eisporeuomenon eis to hieron,
Edified Edition (EDE)And a certain man, lame from his mother’s womb, was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple;

καί τις ἀνὴρ χωλὸς ἐκ κοιλίας μητρὸς αὐτοῦ ὑπάρχων ἐβαστάζετο, ὃν ἐτίθουν καθʼ ἡμέραν πρὸς τὴν θύραν τοῦ ἱεροῦ τὴν λεγομένην Ὡραίαν τοῦ αἰτεῖν ἐλεημοσύνην παρὰ τῶν εἰσπορευομένων εἰς τὸ ἱερόν,

Phonetic (Greek): hos idon Petron kai Ἰoannen mellontas eisienai eis to hieron erota eleemosynen ⸀labein.
Edified Edition (EDE)who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms.

ὃς ἰδὼν Πέτρον καὶ Ἰωάννην μέλλοντας εἰσιέναι εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν ἠρώτα ἐλεημοσύνην ⸀λαβεῖν.

Phonetic (Greek): atenisas de Petros eis ayton syn tῷ Ἰoannῃ eipen· Blepson eis hemas.
Edified Edition (EDE)And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, "Look at us."

ἀτενίσας δὲ Πέτρος εἰς αὐτὸν σὺν τῷ Ἰωάννῃ εἶπεν· Βλέψον εἰς ἡμᾶς.

Phonetic (Greek): ho de epeichen aytois prosdokon ti parʼ ayton labein.
Edified Edition (EDE)So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.

ὁ δὲ ἐπεῖχεν αὐτοῖς προσδοκῶν τι παρʼ αὐτῶν λαβεῖν.

Phonetic (Greek): eipen de Petros· Ἀrgyrion kai chrysion oych hyparchei moi, ho de echo toyto soi didomi· en tῷ onomati Ἰesoy Christoy toy Nazoraiou ⸀peripatei.
Edified Edition (EDE)Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk."

εἶπεν δὲ Πέτρος· Ἀργύριον καὶ χρυσίον οὐχ ὑπάρχει μοι, ὃ δὲ ἔχω τοῦτό σοι δίδωμι· ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ τοῦ Ναζωραίου ⸀περιπάτει.

Phonetic (Greek): kai piasas ayton tes dexias cheiros egeiren ⸀ayton· parachrema de estereothesan ⸂ahi baseis aytoy⸃ kai ta ⸀sphydra,
Edified Edition (EDE)And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

καὶ πιάσας αὐτὸν τῆς δεξιᾶς χειρὸς ἤγειρεν ⸀αὐτόν· παραχρῆμα δὲ ἐστερεώθησαν ⸂αἱ βάσεις αὐτοῦ⸃ καὶ τὰ ⸀σφυδρά,

Phonetic (Greek): kai exallomenos este kai periepatei, kai eiselthen syn aytois eis to hieron peripaton kai hallomenos kai ainon ton theon.
Edified Edition (EDE)So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them, walking, leaping, and praising God.

καὶ ἐξαλλόμενος ἔστη καὶ περιεπάτει, καὶ εἰσῆλθεν σὺν αὐτοῖς εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν περιπατῶν καὶ ἁλλόμενος καὶ αἰνῶν τὸν θεόν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai eiden ⸂pas ho laos ayton⸃ peripatoynta kai ainoynta ton theon,
Edified Edition (EDE)And all the people saw him walking and praising God.

καὶ εἶδεν ⸂πᾶς ὁ λαὸς αὐτὸν⸃ περιπατοῦντα καὶ αἰνοῦντα τὸν θεόν,

Phonetic (Greek): epeginoskon ⸀de ayton hoti ⸀ohytos en ho pros ten eleemosynen kathemenos epi tῇ Ὡraiᾳ Pylῃ toy hieroy, kai eplesthesan thambous kai ekstaseos epi tῷ symbebekoti aytῷ.
Edified Edition (EDE)Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

ἐπεγίνωσκον ⸀δὲ αὐτὸν ὅτι ⸀οὗτος ἦν ὁ πρὸς τὴν ἐλεημοσύνην καθήμενος ἐπὶ τῇ Ὡραίᾳ Πύλῃ τοῦ ἱεροῦ, καὶ ἐπλήσθησαν θάμβους καὶ ἐκστάσεως ἐπὶ τῷ συμβεβηκότι αὐτῷ.

Phonetic (Greek): Kratoyntos de ⸀aytoy ton Petron kai ⸀ton Ἰoannen synedramen ⸂pas ho laos pros aytoys⸃ epi tῇ stoᾷ tῇ kaloumenῃ Solomontos ekthamboi.
Edified Edition (EDE)Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon’s, greatly amazed.

Κρατοῦντος δὲ ⸀αὐτοῦ τὸν Πέτρον καὶ ⸀τὸν Ἰωάννην συνέδραμεν ⸂πᾶς ὁ λαὸς πρὸς αὐτοὺς⸃ ἐπὶ τῇ στοᾷ τῇ καλουμένῃ Σολομῶντος ἔκθαμβοι.

Phonetic (Greek): idon de ⸀ho Petros apekrinato pros ton laon· Ἄndres Ἰsraelitai, ti thaumazete epi toytῳ, e hemin ti atenizete hos idiᾳ dynamei e eysebeiᾳ pepoiekosin toy peripatein ayton;
Edified Edition (EDE)So when Peter saw it, he addressed the people: "Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why do you look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?

ἰδὼν δὲ ⸀ὁ Πέτρος ἀπεκρίνατο πρὸς τὸν λαόν· Ἄνδρες Ἰσραηλῖται, τί θαυμάζετε ἐπὶ τούτῳ, ἢ ἡμῖν τί ἀτενίζετε ὡς ἰδίᾳ δυνάμει ἢ εὐσεβείᾳ πεποιηκόσιν τοῦ περιπατεῖν αὐτόν;

Phonetic (Greek): ho theos Ἀbraam kai ⸂Ἰsaak kai⸃ Ἰakob, ho theos ton pateron hemon, edoxasen ton paida aytoy Ἰesoyn, hon hymeis ⸀men paredokate kai ⸀ernesasthe kata prosopon Pilatou, krinantos ekeinou apolyein·
Edified Edition (EDE)The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go.

ὁ θεὸς Ἀβραὰμ καὶ ⸂Ἰσαὰκ καὶ⸃ Ἰακώβ, ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν, ἐδόξασεν τὸν παῖδα αὐτοῦ Ἰησοῦν, ὃν ὑμεῖς ⸀μὲν παρεδώκατε καὶ ⸀ἠρνήσασθε κατὰ πρόσωπον Πιλάτου, κρίναντος ἐκείνου ἀπολύειν·

Phonetic (Greek): hymeis de ton hagion kai dikaion ernesasthe kai etesasthe andra phonea charisthenai hymin,
Edified Edition (EDE)But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,

ὑμεῖς δὲ τὸν ἅγιον καὶ δίκαιον ἠρνήσασθε καὶ ᾐτήσασθε ἄνδρα φονέα χαρισθῆναι ὑμῖν,

Phonetic (Greek): ton de archegon tes zoes apekteinate, hon ho theos egeiren ek nekron, ohy hemeis martyres esmen.
Edified Edition (EDE)and killed the Prince of Life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

τὸν δὲ ἀρχηγὸν τῆς ζωῆς ἀπεκτείνατε, ὃν ὁ θεὸς ἤγειρεν ἐκ νεκρῶν, οὗ ἡμεῖς μάρτυρές ἐσμεν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ⸀epi tῇ pistei toy onomatos aytoy toyton hon theoreite kai oidate estereosen to onoma aytoy, kai he pistis he diʼ aytoy edoken aytῷ ten holoklerian tayten apenanti panton hymon.
Edified Edition (EDE)And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all."

καὶ ⸀ἐπὶ τῇ πίστει τοῦ ὀνόματος αὐτοῦ τοῦτον ὃν θεωρεῖτε καὶ οἴδατε ἐστερέωσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἡ πίστις ἡ διʼ αὐτοῦ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ τὴν ὁλοκληρίαν ταύτην ἀπέναντι πάντων ὑμῶν.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai nyn, adelphoi, oida hoti kata agnoian epraxate, hosper kai ohi archontes hymon·
Edified Edition (EDE)"Yet now, brothers, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers.

Καὶ νῦν, ἀδελφοί, οἶδα ὅτι κατὰ ἄγνοιαν ἐπράξατε, ὥσπερ καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες ὑμῶν·

Phonetic (Greek): ho de theos ha prokatengeilen dia stomatos panton ton ⸀propheton pathein ton christon ⸀aytoy eplerosen ohytos.
Edified Edition (EDE)But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.

ὁ δὲ θεὸς ἃ προκατήγγειλεν διὰ στόματος πάντων τῶν ⸀προφητῶν παθεῖν τὸν χριστὸν ⸀αὐτοῦ ἐπλήρωσεν οὕτως.

Phonetic (Greek): metanoesate oyn kai epistrepsate ⸀pros to exaleiphthenai hymon tas hamartias,
Edified Edition (EDE)Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be wiped out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

μετανοήσατε οὖν καὶ ἐπιστρέψατε ⸀πρὸς τὸ ἐξαλειφθῆναι ὑμῶν τὰς ἁμαρτίας,

Phonetic (Greek): hopos an elthosin kairoi anapsyxeos apo prosopou toy kyriou kai aposteilῃ ton prokecheirismenon hymin christon Ἰesoyn,
Edified Edition (EDE)and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached for you before,

ὅπως ἂν ἔλθωσιν καιροὶ ἀναψύξεως ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ κυρίου καὶ ἀποστείλῃ τὸν προκεχειρισμένον ὑμῖν χριστὸν Ἰησοῦν,

Phonetic (Greek): hon dei oyranon men dexasthai achri chronon apokatastaseos panton hon elalesen ho theos dia ⸀stomatos ton hagion ⸂apʼ aionos aytoy propheton⸃.
Edified Edition (EDE)whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began."

ὃν δεῖ οὐρανὸν μὲν δέξασθαι ἄχρι χρόνων ἀποκαταστάσεως πάντων ὧν ἐλάλησεν ὁ θεὸς διὰ ⸀στόματος τῶν ἁγίων ⸂ἀπʼ αἰῶνος αὐτοῦ προφητῶν⸃.

Phonetic (Greek): Moyses ⸀men eipen hoti Propheten hymin anastesei kyrios ho ⸀theos ek ton adelphon hymon hos eme· aytoy akoysesthe kata panta hosa an lalesῃ pros hymas.
Edified Edition (EDE)"For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brothers. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you.

Μωϋσῆς ⸀μὲν εἶπεν ὅτι Προφήτην ὑμῖν ἀναστήσει κύριος ὁ ⸀θεὸς ἐκ τῶν ἀδελφῶν ὑμῶν ὡς ἐμέ· αὐτοῦ ἀκούσεσθε κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἂν λαλήσῃ πρὸς ὑμᾶς.

Phonetic (Greek): estai de pasa psyche hetis ⸀an me akoysῃ toy prophetou ekeinou exolethreuthesetai ek toy laoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’"

ἔσται δὲ πᾶσα ψυχὴ ἥτις ⸀ἂν μὴ ἀκούσῃ τοῦ προφήτου ἐκείνου ἐξολεθρευθήσεται ἐκ τοῦ λαοῦ.

Phonetic (Greek): kai pantes de ohi prophetai apo Samouel kai ton kathexes hosoi elalesan kai katengeilan tas hemeras taytas.
Edified Edition (EDE)"Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days.

καὶ πάντες δὲ οἱ προφῆται ἀπὸ Σαμουὴλ καὶ τῶν καθεξῆς ὅσοι ἐλάλησαν καὶ κατήγγειλαν τὰς ἡμέρας ταύτας.

Phonetic (Greek): hymeis este ⸀ohi yhioi ton propheton kai tes diathekes hes ⸂dietheto ho theos⸃ pros toys pateras ⸀hymon, legon pros Ἀbraam· Kai en tῷ spermati sou ⸀eneulogethesontai pasai ahi patriai tes ges.
Edified Edition (EDE)You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’

ὑμεῖς ἐστε ⸀οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν προφητῶν καὶ τῆς διαθήκης ἧς ⸂διέθετο ὁ θεὸς⸃ πρὸς τοὺς πατέρας ⸀ὑμῶν, λέγων πρὸς Ἀβραάμ· Καὶ ἐν τῷ σπέρματί σου ⸀ἐνευλογηθήσονται πᾶσαι αἱ πατριαὶ τῆς γῆς.

Phonetic (Greek): hymin proton ⸂anastesas ho theos⸃ ton paida ⸀aytoy apesteilen ayton eylogoynta hymas en tῷ apostrephein hekaston apo ton ponerion hymon.
Edified Edition (EDE)To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities."

ὑμῖν πρῶτον ⸂ἀναστήσας ὁ θεὸς⸃ τὸν παῖδα ⸀αὐτοῦ ἀπέστειλεν αὐτὸν εὐλογοῦντα ὑμᾶς ἐν τῷ ἀποστρέφειν ἕκαστον ἀπὸ τῶν πονηριῶν ὑμῶν.
