1
Phonetic (Greek): Kai hymas ontas nekroys tois paraptomasin kai tais hamartiais ⸀hymon,
Edified Edition (EDE)And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,

2
Phonetic (Greek): en ahis pote periepatesate kata ton aiona toy kosmou toytou, kata ton archonta tes exousias toy aeros, toy pneymatos toy nyn energoyntos en tois yhiois tes apeitheias·
Edified Edition (EDE)in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,

3
Phonetic (Greek): en ohis kai hemeis pantes anestraphemen pote en tais epithymiais tes sarkos hemon, poioyntes ta thelemata tes sarkos kai ton dianoion, kai ⸀emetha tekna physei orges hos kai ohi loipoi·
Edified Edition (EDE)among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

4
Phonetic (Greek): ho de theos ploysios on en eleei, dia ten pollen agapen aytoy hen egapesen hemas,
Edified Edition (EDE)But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

5
Phonetic (Greek): kai ontas hemas nekroys tois paraptomasin synezoopoiesen tῷ Christῷ— chariti este sesῳsmenoi—
Edified Edition (EDE)even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

6
Phonetic (Greek): kai synegeiren kai synekathisen en tois epouraniois en Christῷ Ἰesoy,
Edified Edition (EDE)and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

7
Phonetic (Greek): hina endeixetai en tois aiosin tois eperchomenois ⸂to hyperballon ploytos⸃ tes charitos aytoy en chrestoteti ephʼ hemas en Christῷ Ἰesoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

8
Phonetic (Greek): tῇ gar chariti este sesῳsmenoi ⸀dia pisteos· kai toyto oyk ex hymon, theoy to doron·
Edified Edition (EDE)For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

9
Phonetic (Greek): oyk ex ergon, hina me tis kauchesetai.
Edified Edition (EDE)not of works, lest anyone should boast.

10
Phonetic (Greek): aytoy gar esmen poiema, ktisthentes en Christῷ Ἰesoy epi ergois agathois ohis proetoimasen ho theos hina en aytois peripatesomen.
Edified Edition (EDE)For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

11
Phonetic (Greek): Dio mnemoneyete hoti ⸂pote hymeis⸃ ta ethne en sarki, ohi legomenoi akrobystia hypo tes legomenes peritomes en sarki cheiropoietou,
Edified Edition (EDE)Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands,

12
Phonetic (Greek): hoti ⸀ete tῷ kairῷ ekeinῳ choris Christoy, apellotriomenoi tes politeias toy Ἰsrael kai xenoi ton diathekon tes epangelias, elpida me echontes kai atheoi en tῷ kosmῳ.
Edified Edition (EDE)that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

Edified Edition (EDE)But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

14
Phonetic (Greek): aytos gar estin he eirene hemon, ho poiesas ta amphotera hen kai to mesotoichon toy phragmoy lysas, ten echthran en tῇ sarki aytoy,
Edified Edition (EDE)For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,

15
Phonetic (Greek): ton nomon ton entolon en dogmasin katargesas, hina toys dyo ktisῃ en ⸀ahytῷ eis hena kainon anthropon poion eirenen,
Edified Edition (EDE)having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,

16
Phonetic (Greek): kai apokatallaxῃ toys amphoterous en heni somati tῷ theῷ dia toy stauroy apokteinas ten echthran en aytῷ·
Edified Edition (EDE)and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.

17
Phonetic (Greek): kai elthon eyengelisato eirenen hymin tois makran kai ⸀eirenen tois engys·

18
Phonetic (Greek): hoti diʼ aytoy echomen ten prosagogen ohi amphoteroi en heni pneymati pros ton patera.
Edified Edition (EDE)For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

19
Phonetic (Greek): ara oyn oyketi este xenoi kai paroikoi, alla ⸀este sympolitai ton hagion kai oikeioi toy theoy,
Edified Edition (EDE)Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,

20
Phonetic (Greek): epoikodomethentes epi tῷ themeliῳ ton apostolon kai propheton, ontos akrogoniaiou aytoy ⸂Christoy Ἰesoy⸃,
Edified Edition (EDE)having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone,

21
Phonetic (Greek): en ho ⸀pasa oikodome synarmologoumene ayxei eis naon hagion en kyriῳ,
Edified Edition (EDE)in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,

22
Phonetic (Greek): en ho kai hymeis synoikodomeisthe eis katoiketerion toy theoy en pneymati.
Edified Edition (EDE)in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
