Phonetic (Greek): Ἀmen amen lego hymin, ho me eiserchomenos dia tes thyras eis ten aylen ton probaton alla anabainon allachothen ekeinos kleptes estin kai lῃstes·
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber."[/JESUS]

Ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὁ μὴ εἰσερχόμενος διὰ τῆς θύρας εἰς τὴν αὐλὴν τῶν προβάτων ἀλλὰ ἀναβαίνων ἀλλαχόθεν ἐκεῖνος κλέπτης ἐστὶν καὶ λῃστής·

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep."[/JESUS]

ὁ δὲ εἰσερχόμενος διὰ τῆς θύρας ποιμήν ἐστιν τῶν προβάτων.

Phonetic (Greek): toytῳ ho thyroros anoigei, kai ta probata tes phones aytoy akoyei kai ta idia probata ⸀phonei katʼ onoma kai exagei ayta.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"To him the gatekeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out."[/JESUS]

τούτῳ ὁ θυρωρὸς ἀνοίγει, καὶ τὰ πρόβατα τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ ἀκούει καὶ τὰ ἴδια πρόβατα ⸀φωνεῖ κατʼ ὄνομα καὶ ἐξάγει αὐτά.

Phonetic (Greek): ⸀hotan ta idia ⸀panta ekbalῃ, emprosthen ayton poreyetai, kai ta probata aytῷ akolouthei, hoti oidasin ten phonen aytoy·
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice."[/JESUS]

⸀ὅταν τὰ ἴδια ⸀πάντα ἐκβάλῃ, ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν πορεύεται, καὶ τὰ πρόβατα αὐτῷ ἀκολουθεῖ, ὅτι οἴδασιν τὴν φωνὴν αὐτοῦ·

Phonetic (Greek): allotriῳ de oy me ⸀akolouthesousin alla pheyxontai apʼ aytoy, hoti oyk oidasi ton allotrion ten phonen.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers."[/JESUS]

ἀλλοτρίῳ δὲ οὐ μὴ ⸀ἀκολουθήσουσιν ἀλλὰ φεύξονται ἀπʼ αὐτοῦ, ὅτι οὐκ οἴδασι τῶν ἀλλοτρίων τὴν φωνήν.

Phonetic (Greek): tayten ten paroimian eipen aytois ho Ἰesoys· ekeinoi de oyk egnosan tina ⸀en ha elalei aytois.
Edified Edition (EDE)This parable spoke Jesus to them: but they understood not what things they were which he spoke to them.

ταύτην τὴν παροιμίαν εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· ἐκεῖνοι δὲ οὐκ ἔγνωσαν τίνα ⸀ἦν ἃ ἐλάλει αὐτοῖς.

Phonetic (Greek): Eipen oyn palin ⸀aytois ho Ἰesoys· Ἀmen amen lego hymin ⸀hoti ego eimi he thyra ton probaton.
Edified Edition (EDE)Then Jesus said to them again, [JESUS]"Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep."[/JESUS]

Εἶπεν οὖν πάλιν ⸀αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ⸀ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ θύρα τῶν προβάτων.

Phonetic (Greek): pantes hosoi elthon ⸂pro emoy⸃ kleptai eisin kai lῃstai· allʼ oyk ekousan ayton ta probata.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them."[/JESUS]

πάντες ὅσοι ἦλθον ⸂πρὸ ἐμοῦ⸃ κλέπται εἰσὶν καὶ λῃσταί· ἀλλʼ οὐκ ἤκουσαν αὐτῶν τὰ πρόβατα.

Phonetic (Greek): ego eimi he thyra· diʼ emoy ean tis eiselthῃ sothesetai kai eiseleysetai kai exeleysetai kai nomen ehyresei.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture."[/JESUS]

ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ θύρα· διʼ ἐμοῦ ἐάν τις εἰσέλθῃ σωθήσεται καὶ εἰσελεύσεται καὶ ἐξελεύσεται καὶ νομὴν εὑρήσει.

Phonetic (Greek): ho kleptes oyk erchetai ei me hina klepsῃ kai thysῃ kai apolesῃ· ego elthon hina zoen echosin kai perisson echosin.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."[/JESUS]

ὁ κλέπτης οὐκ ἔρχεται εἰ μὴ ἵνα κλέψῃ καὶ θύσῃ καὶ ἀπολέσῃ· ἐγὼ ἦλθον ἵνα ζωὴν ἔχωσιν καὶ περισσὸν ἔχωσιν.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep."[/JESUS]

Ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ποιμὴν ὁ καλός· ὁ ποιμὴν ὁ καλὸς τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ τίθησιν ὑπὲρ τῶν προβάτων·

Phonetic (Greek): ho ⸀misthotos kai oyk on poimen, ohy oyk ⸀estin ta probata idia, theorei ton lykon erchomenon kai aphiesin ta probata kai pheygei— kai ho lykos harpazei ayta kai ⸀skorpizei—
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them."[/JESUS]

ὁ ⸀μισθωτὸς καὶ οὐκ ὢν ποιμήν, οὗ οὐκ ⸀ἔστιν τὰ πρόβατα ἴδια, θεωρεῖ τὸν λύκον ἐρχόμενον καὶ ἀφίησιν τὰ πρόβατα καὶ φεύγει— καὶ ὁ λύκος ἁρπάζει αὐτὰ καὶ ⸀σκορπίζει—

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care for the sheep."[/JESUS]

⸀ὅτι μισθωτός ἐστιν καὶ οὐ μέλει αὐτῷ περὶ τῶν προβάτων.

Phonetic (Greek): ego eimi ho poimen ho kalos, kai ginosko ta ema kai ⸂ginoskousi me ta ema⸃,
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own."[/JESUS]

ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ποιμὴν ὁ καλός, καὶ γινώσκω τὰ ἐμὰ καὶ ⸂γινώσκουσί με τὰ ἐμά⸃,

Phonetic (Greek): kathos ginoskei me ho pater kago ginosko ton patera, kai ten psychen mou tithemi hyper ton probaton.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep."[/JESUS]

καθὼς γινώσκει με ὁ πατὴρ κἀγὼ γινώσκω τὸν πατέρα, καὶ τὴν ψυχήν μου τίθημι ὑπὲρ τῶν προβάτων.

Phonetic (Greek): kai alla probata echo ha oyk estin ek tes ayles taytes· kakeina ⸂dei me⸃ agagein, kai tes phones mou akoysousin, kai ⸀genesontai mia poimne, ehis poimen.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd."[/JESUS]

καὶ ἄλλα πρόβατα ἔχω ἃ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ τῆς αὐλῆς ταύτης· κἀκεῖνα ⸂δεῖ με⸃ ἀγαγεῖν, καὶ τῆς φωνῆς μου ἀκούσουσιν, καὶ ⸀γενήσονται μία ποίμνη, εἷς ποιμήν.

Phonetic (Greek): dia toyto ⸂me ho pater⸃ agapᾷ hoti ego tithemi ten psychen mou, hina palin labo ayten.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again."[/JESUS]

διὰ τοῦτό ⸂με ὁ πατὴρ⸃ ἀγαπᾷ ὅτι ἐγὼ τίθημι τὴν ψυχήν μου, ἵνα πάλιν λάβω αὐτήν.

Phonetic (Greek): oydeis ⸀airei ayten apʼ emoy, allʼ ego tithemi ayten apʼ emautoy. exousian echo theinai ayten, kai exousian echo palin labein ayten· tayten ten entolen elabon para toy patros mou.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father."[/JESUS]

οὐδεὶς ⸀αἴρει αὐτὴν ἀπʼ ἐμοῦ, ἀλλʼ ἐγὼ τίθημι αὐτὴν ἀπʼ ἐμαυτοῦ. ἐξουσίαν ἔχω θεῖναι αὐτήν, καὶ ἐξουσίαν ἔχω πάλιν λαβεῖν αὐτήν· ταύτην τὴν ἐντολὴν ἔλαβον παρὰ τοῦ πατρός μου.

Phonetic (Greek): ⸀Schisma palin egeneto en tois Ἰoudaiois dia toys logous toytous.
Edified Edition (EDE)There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.

⸀Σχίσμα πάλιν ἐγένετο ἐν τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις διὰ τοὺς λόγους τούτους.

Phonetic (Greek): elegon de polloi ex ayton· Daimonion echei kai mainetai· ti aytoy akoyete;
Edified Edition (EDE)And many of them said, He has a devil, and is mad; why hear you him?

ἔλεγον δὲ πολλοὶ ἐξ αὐτῶν· Δαιμόνιον ἔχει καὶ μαίνεται· τί αὐτοῦ ἀκούετε;

Phonetic (Greek): ⸀alloi elegon· Tayta ta ῥemata oyk estin daimonizomenou· me daimonion dynatai typhlon ophthalmoys ⸀anoixai;
Edified Edition (EDE)Others said, These are not the words of him that has a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?

⸀ἄλλοι ἔλεγον· Ταῦτα τὰ ῥήματα οὐκ ἔστιν δαιμονιζομένου· μὴ δαιμόνιον δύναται τυφλῶν ὀφθαλμοὺς ⸀ἀνοῖξαι;

Phonetic (Greek): Ἐgeneto ⸀tote ta enkainia en ⸀tois Ἱerosolymois· ⸀cheimon en,
Edified Edition (EDE)And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.

Ἐγένετο ⸀τότε τὰ ἐγκαίνια ἐν ⸀τοῖς Ἱεροσολύμοις· ⸀χειμὼν ἦν,

Phonetic (Greek): kai periepatei ho Ἰesoys en tῷ hierῷ en tῇ stoᾷ ⸀toy Solomonos.
Edified Edition (EDE)And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch.

καὶ περιεπάτει ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ ἐν τῇ στοᾷ ⸀τοῦ Σολομῶνος.

Phonetic (Greek): ekyklosan oyn ayton ohi Ἰoudaioi kai elegon aytῷ· Ἕos pote ten psychen hemon aireis; ei sy ei ho christos, eipe hemin parresiᾳ.
Edified Edition (EDE)Then came the Jews round about him, and said to him, How long dost you make us to doubt? If you be the Christ, tell us plainly.

ἐκύκλωσαν οὖν αὐτὸν οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι καὶ ἔλεγον αὐτῷ· Ἕως πότε τὴν ψυχὴν ἡμῶν αἴρεις; εἰ σὺ εἶ ὁ χριστός, εἰπὲ ἡμῖν παρρησίᾳ.

Phonetic (Greek): apekrithe aytois ho Ἰesoys· Eipon hymin kai oy pisteyete· ta erga ha ego poio en tῷ onomati toy patros mou tayta martyrei peri emoy·
Edified Edition (EDE)Jesus answered them, [JESUS]"I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me."[/JESUS]

ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Εἶπον ὑμῖν καὶ οὐ πιστεύετε· τὰ ἔργα ἃ ἐγὼ ποιῶ ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι τοῦ πατρός μου ταῦτα μαρτυρεῖ περὶ ἐμοῦ·

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you."[/JESUS]

ἀλλὰ ὑμεῖς οὐ πιστεύετε, ⸂ὅτι οὐκ⸃ ἐστὲ ἐκ τῶν προβάτων τῶν ⸀ἐμῶν.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."[/JESUS]

τὰ πρόβατα τὰ ἐμὰ τῆς φωνῆς μου ⸀ἀκούουσιν, κἀγὼ γινώσκω αὐτά, καὶ ἀκολουθοῦσίν μοι,

Phonetic (Greek): kago ⸂didomi aytois zoen aionion⸃, kai oy me apolontai eis ton aiona, kai oych harpasei tis ayta ek tes cheiros mou.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand."[/JESUS]

κἀγὼ ⸂δίδωμι αὐτοῖς ζωὴν αἰώνιον⸃, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀπόλωνται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, καὶ οὐχ ἁρπάσει τις αὐτὰ ἐκ τῆς χειρός μου.

Phonetic (Greek): ho pater mou ⸀ho dedoken ⸀moi ⸂panton meizon⸃ estin, kai oydeis dynatai harpazein ek tes cheiros toy ⸀patros.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand."[/JESUS]

ὁ πατήρ μου ⸀ὃ δέδωκέν ⸀μοι ⸂πάντων μεῖζων⸃ ἐστίν, καὶ οὐδεὶς δύναται ἁρπάζειν ἐκ τῆς χειρὸς τοῦ ⸀πατρός.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"I and My Father are one."[/JESUS]

ἐγὼ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ἕν ἐσμεν.

Phonetic (Greek): Ἐbastasan ⸀oyn palin lithous ohi Ἰoudaioi hina lithasosin ayton.
Edified Edition (EDE)Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

Ἐβάστασαν ⸀οὖν πάλιν λίθους οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι ἵνα λιθάσωσιν αὐτόν.

Phonetic (Greek): apekrithe aytois ho Ἰesoys· Polla ⸂erga kala edeixa hymin⸃ ek toy ⸀patros· dia poion ayton ergon ⸂eme lithazete⸃;
Edified Edition (EDE)Jesus answered them, [JESUS]"Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?"[/JESUS]

ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Πολλὰ ⸂ἔργα καλὰ ἔδειξα ὑμῖν⸃ ἐκ τοῦ ⸀πατρός· διὰ ποῖον αὐτῶν ἔργον ⸂ἐμὲ λιθάζετε⸃;

Phonetic (Greek): apekrithesan aytῷ ohi ⸀Ἰoudaioi· Peri kaloy ergou oy lithazomen se alla peri blasphemias, kai hoti sy anthropos on poieis seauton theon.
Edified Edition (EDE)The Jews answered Him, "We are not stoning You for a good work, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself God."

ἀπεκρίθησαν αὐτῷ οἱ ⸀Ἰουδαῖοι· Περὶ καλοῦ ἔργου οὐ λιθάζομέν σε ἀλλὰ περὶ βλασφημίας, καὶ ὅτι σὺ ἄνθρωπος ὢν ποιεῖς σεαυτὸν θεόν.

Phonetic (Greek): apekrithe aytois ho Ἰesoys· Oyk estin gegrammenon en tῷ nomῳ hymon ⸀hoti Ἐgo eipa· Theoi este;
Edified Edition (EDE)Jesus answered them, [JESUS]"Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, "You are gods"’?"[/JESUS]

ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Οὐκ ἔστιν γεγραμμένον ἐν τῷ νόμῳ ὑμῶν ⸀ὅτι Ἐγὼ εἶπα· Θεοί ἐστε;

Phonetic (Greek): ei ekeinous eipen theoys pros ohys ho logos toy theoy egeneto, kai oy dynatai lythenai he graphe,
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),"[/JESUS]

εἰ ἐκείνους εἶπεν θεοὺς πρὸς οὓς ὁ λόγος τοῦ θεοῦ ἐγένετο, καὶ οὐ δύναται λυθῆναι ἡ γραφή,

Phonetic (Greek): hon ho pater hegiasen kai apesteilen eis ton kosmon hymeis legete hoti Blasphemeis, hoti eipon· Yhios toy theoy eimi;
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?"[/JESUS]

ὃν ὁ πατὴρ ἡγίασεν καὶ ἀπέστειλεν εἰς τὸν κόσμον ὑμεῖς λέγετε ὅτι Βλασφημεῖς, ὅτι εἶπον· Υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ εἰμι;

Phonetic (Greek): ei oy poio ta erga toy patros mou, me pisteyete moi·
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;"[/JESUS]

εἰ οὐ ποιῶ τὰ ἔργα τοῦ πατρός μου, μὴ πιστεύετέ μοι·

Phonetic (Greek): ei de poio, kan emoi me pisteyete tois ergois ⸀pisteyete, hina gnote kai ⸀ginoskete hoti en emoi ho pater kago en ⸂tῷ patri⸃.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him."[/JESUS]

εἰ δὲ ποιῶ, κἂν ἐμοὶ μὴ πιστεύητε τοῖς ἔργοις ⸀πιστεύετε, ἵνα γνῶτε καὶ ⸀γινώσκητε ὅτι ἐν ἐμοὶ ὁ πατὴρ κἀγὼ ἐν ⸂τῷ πατρί⸃.

Edified Edition (EDE)Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,

ἐζήτουν οὖν ⸂πάλιν αὐτὸν⸃ πιάσαι· καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἐκ τῆς χειρὸς αὐτῶν.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai apelthen palin peran toy Ἰordanou eis ton topon hopou en Ἰoannes to proton baptizon, kai emeinen ekei.
Edified Edition (EDE)And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptised; and there he abode.

Καὶ ἀπῆλθεν πάλιν πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου εἰς τὸν τόπον ὅπου ἦν Ἰωάννης τὸ πρῶτον βαπτίζων, καὶ ἔμεινεν ἐκεῖ.

Phonetic (Greek): kai polloi elthon pros ayton kai elegon hoti Ἰoannes men semeion epoiesen oyden, panta de hosa eipen Ἰoannes peri toytou alethe en.
Edified Edition (EDE)And many resorted to him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spoke of this man were true.

καὶ πολλοὶ ἦλθον πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ ἔλεγον ὅτι Ἰωάννης μὲν σημεῖον ἐποίησεν οὐδέν, πάντα δὲ ὅσα εἶπεν Ἰωάννης περὶ τούτου ἀληθῆ ἦν.

Edified Edition (EDE)And many believed on him there.

καὶ ⸂πολλοὶ ἐπίστευσαν εἰς αὐτὸν ἐκεῖ⸃.
