Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me."[/JESUS]

Μὴ ταρασσέσθω ὑμῶν ἡ καρδία· πιστεύετε εἰς τὸν θεόν, καὶ εἰς ἐμὲ πιστεύετε.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"In My Father’s house are many dwelling-places; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."[/JESUS]

ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ τοῦ πατρός μου μοναὶ πολλαί εἰσιν· εἰ δὲ μή, εἶπον ἂν ὑμῖν ⸀ὅτι πορεύομαι ἑτοιμάσαι τόπον ὑμῖν·

Phonetic (Greek): kai ean poreutho ⸀kai hetoimaso ⸂topon hymin⸃, palin erchomai kai paralempsomai hymas pros emauton, hina hopou eimi ego kai hymeis ete.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."[/JESUS]

καὶ ἐὰν πορευθῶ ⸀καὶ ἑτοιμάσω ⸂τόπον ὑμῖν⸃, πάλιν ἔρχομαι καὶ παραλήμψομαι ὑμᾶς πρὸς ἐμαυτόν, ἵνα ὅπου εἰμὶ ἐγὼ καὶ ὑμεῖς ἦτε.

Phonetic (Greek): kai hopou ego hypago oidate ⸂ten hodon⸃.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"And where I go you know, and the way you know."[/JESUS]

καὶ ὅπου ἐγὼ ὑπάγω οἴδατε ⸂τὴν ὁδόν⸃.

Phonetic (Greek): legei aytῷ Thomas· Kyrie, oyk oidamen poy hypageis· ⸀pos ⸂dynametha ten hodon eidenai⸃;

Edified Edition (EDE)Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?"

λέγει αὐτῷ Θωμᾶς· Κύριε, οὐκ οἴδαμεν ποῦ ὑπάγεις· ⸀πῶς ⸂δυνάμεθα τὴν ὁδὸν εἰδέναι⸃;

Phonetic (Greek): legei aytῷ ⸀ho Ἰesoys· Ἐgo eimi he hodos kai he aletheia kai he zoe· oydeis erchetai pros ton patera ei me diʼ emoy.

Edified Edition (EDE)Jesus said to him, [JESUS]"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."[/JESUS]

λέγει αὐτῷ ⸀ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ ὁδὸς καὶ ἡ ἀλήθεια καὶ ἡ ζωή· οὐδεὶς ἔρχεται πρὸς τὸν πατέρα εἰ μὴ διʼ ἐμοῦ.

Phonetic (Greek): ei ⸀egnokeite me, kai ton patera mou ⸂an edeite⸃· ⸀apʼ arti ginoskete ayton kai heorakate ⸀ayton.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him."[/JESUS]

εἰ ⸀ἐγνώκειτέ με, καὶ τὸν πατέρα μου ⸂ἂν ᾔδειτε⸃· ⸀ἀπʼ ἄρτι γινώσκετε αὐτὸν καὶ ἑωράκατε ⸀αὐτόν.

Phonetic (Greek): Legei aytῷ Philippos· Kyrie, deixon hemin ton patera, kai arkei hemin.

Edified Edition (EDE)Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us."

Λέγει αὐτῷ Φίλιππος· Κύριε, δεῖξον ἡμῖν τὸν πατέρα, καὶ ἀρκεῖ ἡμῖν.

Edified Edition (EDE)Jesus said to him, [JESUS]"Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?"[/JESUS]

λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· ⸂Τοσούτῳ χρόνῳ⸃ μεθʼ ὑμῶν εἰμι καὶ οὐκ ἔγνωκάς με, Φίλιππε; ὁ ἑωρακὼς ἐμὲ ἑώρακεν τὸν πατέρα· ⸀πῶς σὺ λέγεις· Δεῖξον ἡμῖν τὸν πατέρα;

Phonetic (Greek): oy pisteyeis hoti ego en tῷ patri kai ho pater en emoi estin; ta ῥemata ha ego ⸀lego hymin apʼ emautoy oy lalo, ho de ⸀pater en emoi ⸀menon poiei ta erga ⸀aytoy.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works."[/JESUS]

οὐ πιστεύεις ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐν τῷ πατρὶ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ἐν ἐμοί ἐστιν; τὰ ῥήματα ἃ ἐγὼ ⸀λέγω ὑμῖν ἀπʼ ἐμαυτοῦ οὐ λαλῶ, ὁ δὲ ⸀πατὴρ ἐν ἐμοὶ ⸀μένων ποιεῖ τὰ ἔργα ⸀αὐτοῦ.

Phonetic (Greek): pisteyete moi hoti ego en tῷ patri kai ho pater en emoi· ei de me, dia ta erga ayta ⸀pisteyete.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves."[/JESUS]

πιστεύετέ μοι ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐν τῷ πατρὶ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ἐν ἐμοί· εἰ δὲ μή, διὰ τὰ ἔργα αὐτὰ ⸀πιστεύετε.

Phonetic (Greek): amen amen lego hymin, ho pisteyon eis eme ta erga ha ego poio kakeinos poiesei, kai meizona toyton poiesei, hoti ego pros ton ⸀patera poreyomai·

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"Most certainly, I tell you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."[/JESUS]

ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὁ πιστεύων εἰς ἐμὲ τὰ ἔργα ἃ ἐγὼ ποιῶ κἀκεῖνος ποιήσει, καὶ μείζονα τούτων ποιήσει, ὅτι ἐγὼ πρὸς τὸν ⸀πατέρα πορεύομαι·

Phonetic (Greek): kai ho ti an aitesete en tῷ onomati mou toyto poieso, hina doxasthῇ ho pater en tῷ yhiῷ·

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."[/JESUS]

καὶ ὅ τι ἂν αἰτήσητε ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί μου τοῦτο ποιήσω, ἵνα δοξασθῇ ὁ πατὴρ ἐν τῷ υἱῷ·

Phonetic (Greek): ean ti aitesete ⸀me en tῷ onomati mou ⸀ego poieso.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"If you ask anything in My name, I will do it."[/JESUS]

ἐάν τι αἰτήσητέ ⸀με ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί μου ⸀ἐγὼ ποιήσω.

Phonetic (Greek): Ἐan agapate me, tas entolas tas emas ⸀teresete·

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"If you love Me, keep My commandments."[/JESUS]

Ἐὰν ἀγαπᾶτέ με, τὰς ἐντολὰς τὰς ἐμὰς ⸀τηρήσετε·

Phonetic (Greek): kago eroteso ton patera kai allon parakleton dosei hymin hina ⸀e methʼ hymon eis ton ⸀aiona,

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, that He may abide with you forever, "[/JESUS]

κἀγὼ ἐρωτήσω τὸν πατέρα καὶ ἄλλον παράκλητον δώσει ὑμῖν ἵνα ⸀ᾖ μεθʼ ὑμῶν εἰς τὸν ⸀αἰῶνα,

Phonetic (Greek): to pneyma tes aletheias, ho ho kosmos oy dynatai labein, hoti oy theorei ayto oyde ⸀ginoskei· ⸀hymeis ginoskete ayto, hoti parʼ hymin menei kai en hymin ⸀estai.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."[/JESUS]

τὸ πνεῦμα τῆς ἀληθείας, ὃ ὁ κόσμος οὐ δύναται λαβεῖν, ὅτι οὐ θεωρεῖ αὐτὸ οὐδὲ ⸀γινώσκει· ⸀ὑμεῖς γινώσκετε αὐτό, ὅτι παρʼ ὑμῖν μένει καὶ ἐν ὑμῖν ⸀ἔσται.

Phonetic (Greek): Oyk apheso hymas orphanoys, erchomai pros hymas.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you."[/JESUS]

Οὐκ ἀφήσω ὑμᾶς ὀρφανούς, ἔρχομαι πρὸς ὑμᾶς.

Phonetic (Greek): eti mikron kai ho kosmos me oyketi theorei, hymeis de theoreite me, hoti ego zo kai hymeis ⸀zesete.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also."[/JESUS]

ἔτι μικρὸν καὶ ὁ κόσμος με οὐκέτι θεωρεῖ, ὑμεῖς δὲ θεωρεῖτέ με, ὅτι ἐγὼ ζῶ καὶ ὑμεῖς ⸀ζήσετε.

Phonetic (Greek): en ekeinῃ tῇ hemerᾳ ⸂gnosesthe hymeis⸃ hoti ego en tῷ patri mou kai hymeis en emoi kago en hymin.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you."[/JESUS]

ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ⸂γνώσεσθε ὑμεῖς⸃ ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐν τῷ πατρί μου καὶ ὑμεῖς ἐν ἐμοὶ κἀγὼ ἐν ὑμῖν.

Phonetic (Greek): ho echon tas entolas mou kai teron aytas ekeinos estin ho agapon me· ho de agapon me agapethesetai hypo toy patros mou, kago agapeso ayton kai emphaniso aytῷ emauton.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."[/JESUS]

ὁ ἔχων τὰς ἐντολάς μου καὶ τηρῶν αὐτὰς ἐκεῖνός ἐστιν ὁ ἀγαπῶν με· ὁ δὲ ἀγαπῶν με ἀγαπηθήσεται ὑπὸ τοῦ πατρός μου, κἀγὼ ἀγαπήσω αὐτὸν καὶ ἐμφανίσω αὐτῷ ἐμαυτόν.

Phonetic (Greek): legei aytῷ Ἰoydas, oych ho Ἰskariotes· Kyrie, ⸀ti gegonen hoti hemin melleis emphanizein seauton kai oychi tῷ kosmῳ;

Edified Edition (EDE)Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?"

λέγει αὐτῷ Ἰούδας, οὐχ ὁ Ἰσκαριώτης· Κύριε, ⸀τί γέγονεν ὅτι ἡμῖν μέλλεις ἐμφανίζειν σεαυτὸν καὶ οὐχὶ τῷ κόσμῳ;

Phonetic (Greek): apekrithe Ἰesoys kai eipen aytῷ· Ἐan tis agapᾷ me ton logon mou teresei, kai ho pater mou agapesei ayton, kai pros ayton eleusometha kai monen parʼ aytῷ ⸀poiesometha.

Edified Edition (EDE)Jesus answered and said to him, [JESUS]"If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him."[/JESUS]

ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Ἐάν τις ἀγαπᾷ με τὸν λόγον μου τηρήσει, καὶ ὁ πατήρ μου ἀγαπήσει αὐτόν, καὶ πρὸς αὐτὸν ἐλευσόμεθα καὶ μονὴν παρʼ αὐτῷ ⸀ποιησόμεθα.

Phonetic (Greek): ho me agapon me toys logous mou oy terei· kai ho logos hon akoyete oyk estin emos alla toy pempsantos me patros.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me."[/JESUS]

ὁ μὴ ἀγαπῶν με τοὺς λόγους μου οὐ τηρεῖ· καὶ ὁ λόγος ὃν ἀκούετε οὐκ ἔστιν ἐμὸς ἀλλὰ τοῦ πέμψαντός με πατρός.

Phonetic (Greek): Tayta lelaleka hymin parʼ hymin menon·

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"These things I have spoken to you while being present with you."[/JESUS]

Ταῦτα λελάληκα ὑμῖν παρʼ ὑμῖν μένων·

Phonetic (Greek): ho de parakletos, to pneyma to hagion ho pempsei ho pater en tῷ onomati mou, ekeinos hymas didaxei panta kai hypomnesei hymas panta ha eipon ⸀hymin.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."[/JESUS]

ὁ δὲ παράκλητος, τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον ὃ πέμψει ὁ πατὴρ ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί μου, ἐκεῖνος ὑμᾶς διδάξει πάντα καὶ ὑπομνήσει ὑμᾶς πάντα ἃ εἶπον ⸀ὑμῖν.

Phonetic (Greek): eirenen aphiemi hymin, eirenen ten emen didomi hymin· oy kathos ho kosmos didosin ego didomi hymin. me tarassestho hymon he kardia mede deiliato.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."[/JESUS]

εἰρήνην ἀφίημι ὑμῖν, εἰρήνην τὴν ἐμὴν δίδωμι ὑμῖν· οὐ καθὼς ὁ κόσμος δίδωσιν ἐγὼ δίδωμι ὑμῖν. μὴ ταρασσέσθω ὑμῶν ἡ καρδία μηδὲ δειλιάτω.

Phonetic (Greek): ekoysate hoti ego eipon hymin· Ὑpago kai erchomai pros hymas. ei egapate me echarete an, ⸀hoti poreyomai pros ton patera, hoti ho ⸀pater meizon moy estin.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"You have heard Me say to you, 'I am going away and coming back to you.' If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, 'I am going to the Father,' for My Father is greater than I."[/JESUS]

ἠκούσατε ὅτι ἐγὼ εἶπον ὑμῖν· Ὑπάγω καὶ ἔρχομαι πρὸς ὑμᾶς. εἰ ἠγαπᾶτέ με ἐχάρητε ἄν, ⸀ὅτι πορεύομαι πρὸς τὸν πατέρα, ὅτι ὁ ⸀πατὴρ μείζων μού ἐστιν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai nyn eireka hymin prin genesthai, hina hotan genetai pisteysete.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe."[/JESUS]

καὶ νῦν εἴρηκα ὑμῖν πρὶν γενέσθαι, ἵνα ὅταν γένηται πιστεύσητε.

Phonetic (Greek): oyketi polla laleso methʼ hymon, erchetai gar ho toy kosmou archon· kai en emoi oyk echei oyden,

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me."[/JESUS]

οὐκέτι πολλὰ λαλήσω μεθʼ ὑμῶν, ἔρχεται γὰρ ὁ τοῦ κόσμου ἄρχων· καὶ ἐν ἐμοὶ οὐκ ἔχει οὐδέν,

Phonetic (Greek): allʼ hina gnῷ ho kosmos hoti agapo ton patera, kai kathos ⸀eneteilato moi ho pater ohytos poio. Ἐgeiresthe, agomen enteythen.

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go from here."[/JESUS]

ἀλλʼ ἵνα γνῷ ὁ κόσμος ὅτι ἀγαπῶ τὸν πατέρα, καὶ καθὼς ⸀ἐνετείλατο μοι ὁ πατὴρ οὕτως ποιῶ. Ἐγείρεσθε, ἄγωμεν ἐντεῦθεν.
