John

Chapter 21
1
Phonetic (Greek): Meta tayta ephanerosen heauton palin ⸀ho Ἰesoys tois mathetais epi tes thalasses tes Tiberiados· ephanerosen de ohytos.
Edified Edition (EDE)After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself:

2
Phonetic (Greek): esan homoy Simon Petros kai Thomas ho legomenos Didymos kai Nathanael ho apo Kana tes Galilaias kai ohi toy Zebedaiou kai alloi ek ton matheton aytoy dyo.
Edified Edition (EDE)Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together.

3
Phonetic (Greek): legei aytois Simon Petros· Ὑpago halieyein· legousin aytῷ· Ἐrchometha kai hemeis syn soi. exelthon kai enebesan eis to ⸀ploion, kai en ekeinῃ tῇ nykti epiasan oyden.
Edified Edition (EDE)Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.

4
Phonetic (Greek): Proias de ede ⸀genomenes ⸀este Ἰesoys eis ton aigialon· oy mentoi edeisan ohi mathetai hoti Ἰesoys estin.
Edified Edition (EDE)But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

5
Phonetic (Greek): legei oyn aytois ⸀ho Ἰesoys· Paidia, me ti prosphagion echete; apekrithesan aytῷ· Oy.
Edified Edition (EDE)Then Jesus said to them, [JESUS]"Children, do you have any food?"[/JESUS] They answered Him, "No."

6
Phonetic (Greek): ho de eipen aytois· Balete eis ta dexia mere toy ploiou to diktyon, kai ehyresete. ebalon oyn, kai oyketi ayto helkysai ⸀ischyon apo toy plethous ton ichthyon.
Edified Edition (EDE)And He said to them, [JESUS]"Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some."[/JESUS] So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.

7
Phonetic (Greek): legei oyn ho mathetes ekeinos hon egapa ho Ἰesoys tῷ Petrῳ· Ὁ kyrios estin. Simon oyn Petros, akoysas hoti ho kyrios estin, ton ependyten diezosato, en gar gymnos, kai ebalen heauton eis ten thalassan·
Edified Edition (EDE)Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it) and plunged into the sea.

8
Phonetic (Greek): ohi de alloi mathetai tῷ ploiariῳ elthon, oy gar esan makran apo tes ges alla hos apo pechon diakosion, syrontes to diktyon ton ichthyon.
Edified Edition (EDE)But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish.

9
Phonetic (Greek): Ὡs oyn apebesan eis ten gen blepousin anthrakian keimenen kai opsarion epikeimenon kai arton.
Edified Edition (EDE)Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread.

10
Phonetic (Greek): legei aytois ho Ἰesoys· Ἐnenkate apo ton opsarion hon epiasate nyn.
Edified Edition (EDE)Jesus said to them, [JESUS]"Bring some of the fish which you have just caught."[/JESUS]

11
Phonetic (Greek): anebe ⸀oyn Simon Petros kai ehilkysen to diktyon ⸂eis ten gen⸃ meston ichthyon megalon hekaton pentekonta trion· kai tosoyton onton oyk eschisthe to diktyon.
Edified Edition (EDE)Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken.

12
Phonetic (Greek): legei aytois ho Ἰesoys· Deyte aristesate. oydeis ⸀de etolma ton matheton exetasai ayton· Sy tis ei; eidotes hoti ho kyrios estin.
Edified Edition (EDE)Jesus said to them, [JESUS]"Come and eat breakfast."[/JESUS] Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, "Who are You?", knowing that it was the Lord.

13
Phonetic (Greek): ⸀erchetai ⸀ho Ἰesoys kai lambanei ton arton kai didosin aytois, kai to opsarion homoios.
Edified Edition (EDE)Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish.

14
Phonetic (Greek): toyto ede triton ephanerothe ⸀ho Ἰesoys tois ⸀mathetais egertheis ek nekron.
Edified Edition (EDE)This is now the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead.

15
Phonetic (Greek): Ὅte oyn eristesan legei tῷ Simoni Petrῳ ho Ἰesoys· Simon ⸀Ἰoannou, agapᾷs me pleon toyton; legei aytῷ· Nai, kyrie, sy oidas hoti philo se. legei aytῷ· Boske ta arnia mou.
Edified Edition (EDE)So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, [JESUS]"Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?"[/JESUS] He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, [JESUS]"Feed My lambs."[/JESUS]

16
Phonetic (Greek): legei aytῷ palin deyteron· Simon ⸀Ἰoannou, agapᾷs me; legei aytῷ· Nai, kyrie, sy oidas hoti philo se. legei aytῷ· Poimaine ta probata mou.
Edified Edition (EDE)He said to him again a second time, [JESUS]"Simon, son of John, do you love Me?"[/JESUS] He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, [JESUS]"Tend My sheep."[/JESUS]

17
Phonetic (Greek): legei aytῷ to triton· Simon ⸀Ἰoannou, phileis me; elypethe ho Petros hoti eipen aytῷ to triton· Phileis me; kai ⸀eipen aytῷ· Kyrie, ⸂panta sy⸃ oidas, sy ginoskeis hoti philo se. legei aytῷ ⸀ho Ἰesoys· Boske ta ⸀probata mou.
Edified Edition (EDE)He said to him the third time, [JESUS]"Simon, son of John, do you love Me?"[/JESUS] Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, [JESUS]"Do you love Me?"[/JESUS] And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, [JESUS]"Feed My sheep."[/JESUS]

18
Phonetic (Greek): amen amen lego soi, hote es neoteros, ezonnyes seauton kai periepateis hopou etheles· hotan de gerasῃs, ekteneis tas cheiras sou, kai allos ⸂se zosei⸃ kai oisei hopou oy theleis.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish."[/JESUS]

19
Phonetic (Greek): toyto de eipen semainon poiῳ thanatῳ doxasei ton theon. kai toyto eipon legei aytῷ· Ἀkoloythei moi.
Edified Edition (EDE)This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, [JESUS]"Follow Me."[/JESUS]

20
Phonetic (Greek): ⸀Ἐpistrapheis ho Petros blepei ton matheten hon egapa ho Ἰesoys akolouthoynta, hos kai anepesen en tῷ deipnῳ epi to stethos aytoy kai eipen· Kyrie, tis estin ho paradidoys se;
Edified Edition (EDE)Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?"

⸀Ἐπιστραφεὶς ὁ Πέτρος βλέπει τὸν μαθητὴν ὃν ἠγάπα ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἀκολουθοῦντα, ὃς καὶ ἀνέπεσεν ἐν τῷ δείπνῳ ἐπὶ τὸ στῆθος αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν· Κύριε, τίς ἐστιν ὁ παραδιδούς σε;

21
Phonetic (Greek): toyton ⸀oyn idon ho Petros legei tῷ Ἰesoy· Kyrie, ohytos de ti;
Edified Edition (EDE)Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, "But Lord, what about this man?"

τοῦτον ⸀οὖν ἰδὼν ὁ Πέτρος λέγει τῷ Ἰησοῦ· Κύριε, οὗτος δὲ τί;

22
Phonetic (Greek): legei aytῷ ho Ἰesoys· Ἐan ayton thelo menein heos erchomai, ti pros se; sy ⸂moi akoloythei⸃.
Edified Edition (EDE)Jesus said to him, [JESUS]"If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me."[/JESUS]

23
Phonetic (Greek): exelthen oyn ⸂ohytos ho logos⸃ eis toys adelphoys hoti ho mathetes ekeinos oyk apothnῄskei. ⸂oyk eipen de⸃ aytῷ ho Ἰesoys hoti oyk apothnῄskei allʼ· Ἐan ayton thelo menein heos erchomai, ti pros se;
Edified Edition (EDE)Then this saying went out among the brothers that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but, [JESUS]"If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you?"[/JESUS]

ἐξῆλθεν οὖν ⸂οὗτος ὁ λόγος⸃ εἰς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ὅτι ὁ μαθητὴς ἐκεῖνος οὐκ ἀποθνῄσκει. ⸂οὐκ εἶπεν δὲ⸃ αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι οὐκ ἀποθνῄσκει ἀλλʼ· Ἐὰν αὐτὸν θέλω μένειν ἕως ἔρχομαι, τί πρὸς σέ;

24
Phonetic (Greek): Ohytos estin ho mathetes ho martyron peri toyton kai ⸀ho grapsas tayta, kai oidamen hoti alethes ⸂aytoy he martyria estin⸃.
Edified Edition (EDE)This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true.

25
Phonetic (Greek): estin de kai alla polla ⸀ha epoiesen ho Ἰesoys, hatina ean graphetai kathʼ hen, oydʼ ayton oimai ton kosmon ⸀choresein ta graphomena ⸀biblia.
Edified Edition (EDE)And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.
