Phonetic (Greek): Paresan de tines en aytῷ tῷ kairῷ apangellontes aytῷ peri ton Galilaion hon to ahima Pilatos emixen meta ton thysion ayton.
Edified Edition (EDE)There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

Παρῆσαν δέ τινες ἐν αὐτῷ τῷ καιρῷ ἀπαγγέλλοντες αὐτῷ περὶ τῶν Γαλιλαίων ὧν τὸ αἷμα Πιλᾶτος ἔμιξεν μετὰ τῶν θυσιῶν αὐτῶν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ⸀apokritheis eipen aytois· Dokeite hoti ohi Galilaioi ohytoi hamartoloi para pantas toys Galilaious egenonto, hoti ⸀tayta peponthasin;
Edified Edition (EDE)And Jesus answering said to them, Suppose you that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

καὶ ⸀ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Δοκεῖτε ὅτι οἱ Γαλιλαῖοι οὗτοι ἁμαρτωλοὶ παρὰ πάντας τοὺς Γαλιλαίους ἐγένοντο, ὅτι ⸀ταῦτα πεπόνθασιν;

Phonetic (Greek): oychi, lego hymin, allʼ ean me metanoete pantes ⸀homoios apoleisthe.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."[/JESUS]

οὐχί, λέγω ὑμῖν, ἀλλʼ ἐὰν μὴ μετανοῆτε πάντες ⸀ὁμοίως ἀπολεῖσθε.

Phonetic (Greek): e ekeinoi ohi ⸀dekaokto ephʼ ohys epesen ho pyrgos en tῷ Siloam kai apekteinen aytoys, dokeite hoti ⸀aytoi opheiletai egenonto para pantas ⸀toys anthropous toys ⸀katoikoyntas Ἰerousalem;
Edified Edition (EDE)Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think you that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

ἢ ἐκεῖνοι οἱ ⸀δεκαοκτὼ ἐφʼ οὓς ἔπεσεν ὁ πύργος ἐν τῷ Σιλωὰμ καὶ ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτούς, δοκεῖτε ὅτι ⸀αὐτοὶ ὀφειλέται ἐγένοντο παρὰ πάντας ⸀τοὺς ἀνθρώπους τοὺς ⸀κατοικοῦντας Ἰερουσαλήμ;

Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."[/JESUS]

οὐχί, λέγω ὑμῖν, ἀλλʼ ἐὰν μὴ ⸀μετανοῆτε πάντες ⸀ὡσαύτως ἀπολεῖσθε.

Phonetic (Greek): Ἔlegen de tayten ten parabolen. Syken eichen tis ⸂pephyteumenen en tῷ ampeloni aytoy⸃, kai elthen zeton karpon en aytῇ kai oych ehyren.
Edified Edition (EDE)He also spoke this parable: [JESUS]"A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none."[/JESUS]

Ἔλεγεν δὲ ταύτην τὴν παραβολήν. Συκῆν εἶχέν τις ⸂πεφυτευμένην ἐν τῷ ἀμπελῶνι αὐτοῦ⸃, καὶ ἦλθεν ζητῶν καρπὸν ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ οὐχ εὗρεν.

Phonetic (Greek): eipen de pros ton ampelourgon· Ἰdoy tria ete ⸂aphʼ ohy⸃ erchomai zeton karpon en tῇ sykῇ taytῃ kai oych ehyrisko· ⸀ekkopson ayten· hinati kai ten gen katargei;
Edified Edition (EDE)Then said he to the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς τὸν ἀμπελουργόν· Ἰδοὺ τρία ἔτη ⸂ἀφʼ οὗ⸃ ἔρχομαι ζητῶν καρπὸν ἐν τῇ συκῇ ταύτῃ καὶ οὐχ εὑρίσκω· ⸀ἔκκοψον αὐτήν· ἱνατί καὶ τὴν γῆν καταργεῖ;

Phonetic (Greek): ho de apokritheis legei aytῷ· Kyrie, aphes ayten kai toyto to etos, heos hotou skapso peri ayten kai balo kopria·
Edified Edition (EDE)And he answering said to him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς λέγει αὐτῷ· Κύριε, ἄφες αὐτὴν καὶ τοῦτο τὸ ἔτος, ἕως ὅτου σκάψω περὶ αὐτὴν καὶ βάλω κόπρια·

Phonetic (Greek): kan men poiesῃ karpon ⸂eis to mellon— ei de mege,⸃ ekkopseis ayten.
Edified Edition (EDE)And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that you will cut it down.

κἂν μὲν ποιήσῃ καρπὸν ⸂εἰς τὸ μέλλον— εἰ δὲ μήγε,⸃ ἐκκόψεις αὐτήν.

Phonetic (Greek): Ἦn de didaskon en miᾷ ton synagogon en tois sabbasin.
Edified Edition (EDE)Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.

Ἦν δὲ διδάσκων ἐν μιᾷ τῶν συναγωγῶν ἐν τοῖς σάββασιν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai idoy ⸀gyne pneyma echousa astheneias ete ⸀dekaokto, kai en synkyptousa kai me dynamene anakypsai eis to panteles.
Edified Edition (EDE)And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

καὶ ἰδοὺ ⸀γυνὴ πνεῦμα ἔχουσα ἀσθενείας ἔτη ⸀δεκαοκτώ, καὶ ἦν συγκύπτουσα καὶ μὴ δυναμένη ἀνακύψαι εἰς τὸ παντελές.

Phonetic (Greek): idon de ayten ho Ἰesoys prosephonesen kai eipen aytῇ· Gynai, apolelysai tes astheneias sou,
Edified Edition (EDE)But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, [JESUS]"Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity."[/JESUS]

ἰδὼν δὲ αὐτὴν ὁ Ἰησοῦς προσεφώνησεν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ· Γύναι, ἀπολέλυσαι τῆς ἀσθενείας σου,

Phonetic (Greek): kai epetheken aytῇ tas cheiras· kai parachrema anorthothe, kai edoxazen ton theon.
Edified Edition (EDE)And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

καὶ ἐπέθηκεν αὐτῇ τὰς χεῖρας· καὶ παραχρῆμα ἀνωρθώθη, καὶ ἐδόξαζεν τὸν θεόν.

Phonetic (Greek): apokritheis de ho archisynagogos, aganakton hoti tῷ sabbatῳ etherapeusen ho Ἰesoys, elegen tῷ ochlῳ ⸀hoti Ἓx hemerai eisin en ahis dei ergazesthai· en ⸀aytais oyn erchomenoi therapeyesthe kai me tῇ hemerᾳ toy sabbatou.
Edified Edition (EDE)And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said to the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ ἀρχισυνάγωγος, ἀγανακτῶν ὅτι τῷ σαββάτῳ ἐθεράπευσεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς, ἔλεγεν τῷ ὄχλῳ ⸀ὅτι Ἓξ ἡμέραι εἰσὶν ἐν αἷς δεῖ ἐργάζεσθαι· ἐν ⸀αὐταῖς οὖν ἐρχόμενοι θεραπεύεσθε καὶ μὴ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ σαββάτου.

Phonetic (Greek): apekrithe ⸀de aytῷ ho kyrios kai eipen· Ὑpokritai, hekastos hymon tῷ sabbatῳ oy lyei ton boyn aytoy e ton onon apo tes phatnes kai ⸀apagagon potizei;
Edified Edition (EDE)The LORD then answered him and said, [JESUS]"Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it away to water it?"[/JESUS]

ἀπεκρίθη ⸀δὲ αὐτῷ ὁ κύριος καὶ εἶπεν· Ὑποκριταί, ἕκαστος ὑμῶν τῷ σαββάτῳ οὐ λύει τὸν βοῦν αὐτοῦ ἢ τὸν ὄνον ἀπὸ τῆς φάτνης καὶ ⸀ἀπαγαγὼν ποτίζει;

Phonetic (Greek): tayten de thygatera Ἀbraam oysan, hen edesen ho Satanas idoy deka kai okto ete, oyk edei lythenai apo toy desmoy toytou tῇ hemerᾳ toy sabbatou;
Edified Edition (EDE)And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

ταύτην δὲ θυγατέρα Ἀβραὰμ οὖσαν, ἣν ἔδησεν ὁ Σατανᾶς ἰδοὺ δέκα καὶ ὀκτὼ ἔτη, οὐκ ἔδει λυθῆναι ἀπὸ τοῦ δεσμοῦ τούτου τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ σαββάτου;

Phonetic (Greek): kai tayta legontos aytoy katῃschynonto pantes ohi antikeimenoi aytῷ, kai pas ho ochlos echairen epi pasin tois endoxois tois ginomenois hypʼ aytoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

καὶ ταῦτα λέγοντος αὐτοῦ κατῃσχύνοντο πάντες οἱ ἀντικείμενοι αὐτῷ, καὶ πᾶς ὁ ὄχλος ἔχαιρεν ἐπὶ πᾶσιν τοῖς ἐνδόξοις τοῖς γινομένοις ὑπʼ αὐτοῦ.

Phonetic (Greek): Ἔlegen ⸀oyn· Tini homoia estin he basileia toy theoy, kai tini homoioso ayten;
Edified Edition (EDE)Then said he, to what is the kingdom of God like? and To what shall I resemble it?

Ἔλεγεν ⸀οὖν· Τίνι ὁμοία ἐστὶν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ, καὶ τίνι ὁμοιώσω αὐτήν;

Phonetic (Greek): homoia estin kokkῳ sinapeos, hon labon anthropos ebalen eis kepon heautoy, kai eyxesen kai egeneto eis ⸀dendron, kai ta peteina toy oyranoy kateskenosen en tois kladois aytoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)It is like a grain of mustard seed, who a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

ὁμοία ἐστὶν κόκκῳ σινάπεως, ὃν λαβὼν ἄνθρωπος ἔβαλεν εἰς κῆπον ἑαυτοῦ, καὶ ηὔξησεν καὶ ἐγένετο εἰς ⸀δένδρον, καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατεσκήνωσεν ἐν τοῖς κλάδοις αὐτοῦ.

Phonetic (Greek): ⸀Kai palin eipen· Tini homoioso ten basileian toy theoy;
Edified Edition (EDE)And again he said, To what shall I liken the kingdom of God?

⸀Καὶ πάλιν εἶπεν· Τίνι ὁμοιώσω τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ;

Phonetic (Greek): homoia estin zymῃ, hen laboysa gyne ⸀ekrypsen eis aleyrou sata tria heos ohy ezymothe holon.
Edified Edition (EDE)It is like leaven, who a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

ὁμοία ἐστὶν ζύμῃ, ἣν λαβοῦσα γυνὴ ⸀ἔκρυψεν εἰς ἀλεύρου σάτα τρία ἕως οὗ ἐζυμώθη ὅλον.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai dieporeyeto kata poleis kai komas didaskon kai poreian poioymenos eis ⸀Ἱerosolyma.
Edified Edition (EDE)And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.

Καὶ διεπορεύετο κατὰ πόλεις καὶ κώμας διδάσκων καὶ πορείαν ποιούμενος εἰς ⸀Ἱεροσόλυμα.

Phonetic (Greek): eipen de tis aytῷ· Kyrie, ei oligoi ohi sῳzomenoi; ho de eipen pros aytoys·
Edified Edition (EDE)Then said one to him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said to them,

εἶπεν δέ τις αὐτῷ· Κύριε, εἰ ὀλίγοι οἱ σῳζόμενοι; ὁ δὲ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς·

Phonetic (Greek): Ἀgonizesthe eiselthein dia tes stenes ⸀thyras, hoti polloi, lego hymin, zetesousin eiselthein kai oyk ischysousin,
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able."[/JESUS]

Ἀγωνίζεσθε εἰσελθεῖν διὰ τῆς στενῆς ⸀θύρας, ὅτι πολλοί, λέγω ὑμῖν, ζητήσουσιν εἰσελθεῖν καὶ οὐκ ἰσχύσουσιν,

Phonetic (Greek): aphʼ ohy an egerthῇ ho oikodespotes kai apokleisῃ ten thyran, kai arxesthe exo hestanai kai kroyein ten thyran legontes· ⸀Kyrie, anoixon hemin· kai apokritheis erei hymin· Oyk oida hymas pothen este.
Edified Edition (EDE)When once the master of the house is risen up, and has shut to the door, and you begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us; and he shall answer and say to you, I know you not Where you are:

ἀφʼ οὗ ἂν ἐγερθῇ ὁ οἰκοδεσπότης καὶ ἀποκλείσῃ τὴν θύραν, καὶ ἄρξησθε ἔξω ἑστάναι καὶ κρούειν τὴν θύραν λέγοντες· ⸀Κύριε, ἄνοιξον ἡμῖν· καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ἐρεῖ ὑμῖν· Οὐκ οἶδα ὑμᾶς πόθεν ἐστέ.

Phonetic (Greek): tote arxesthe legein· Ἐphagomen enopion sou kai epiomen, kai en tais plateiais hemon edidaxas·
Edified Edition (EDE)Then shall you begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in your presence, and you have taught in our streets.

τότε ἄρξεσθε λέγειν· Ἐφάγομεν ἐνώπιόν σου καὶ ἐπίομεν, καὶ ἐν ταῖς πλατείαις ἡμῶν ἐδίδαξας·

Phonetic (Greek): kai erei ⸀legon hymin· Oyk ⸀oida pothen este· apostete apʼ emoy, pantes ⸀ergatai adikias.
Edified Edition (EDE)But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not Where you are; depart from me, all you workers of iniquity.

καὶ ἐρεῖ ⸀λέγων ὑμῖν· Οὐκ ⸀οἶδα πόθεν ἐστέ· ἀπόστητε ἀπʼ ἐμοῦ, πάντες ⸀ἐργάται ἀδικίας.

Phonetic (Greek): ekei estai ho klauthmos kai ho brygmos ton odonton, hotan ⸀opsesthe Ἀbraam kai Ἰsaak kai Ἰakob kai pantas toys prophetas en tῇ basileiᾳ toy theoy, hymas de ekballomenous exo.
Edified Edition (EDE)There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

ἐκεῖ ἔσται ὁ κλαυθμὸς καὶ ὁ βρυγμὸς τῶν ὀδόντων, ὅταν ⸀ὄψησθε Ἀβραὰμ καὶ Ἰσαὰκ καὶ Ἰακὼβ καὶ πάντας τοὺς προφήτας ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τοῦ θεοῦ, ὑμᾶς δὲ ἐκβαλλομένους ἔξω.

Phonetic (Greek): kai hexousin apo anatolon kai dysmon kai ⸀apo borra kai notou kai anaklithesontai en tῇ basileiᾳ toy theoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

καὶ ἥξουσιν ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν καὶ δυσμῶν καὶ ⸀ἀπὸ βορρᾶ καὶ νότου καὶ ἀνακλιθήσονται ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τοῦ θεοῦ.

Phonetic (Greek): kai idoy eisin eschatoi ohi esontai protoi, kai eisin protoi ohi esontai eschatoi.
Edified Edition (EDE)And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

καὶ ἰδοὺ εἰσὶν ἔσχατοι οἳ ἔσονται πρῶτοι, καὶ εἰσὶν πρῶτοι οἳ ἔσονται ἔσχατοι.

Phonetic (Greek): Ἐn aytῇ tῇ ⸀horᾳ proselthan tines Pharisaioi legontes aytῷ· Ἔxelthe kai poreyou enteythen, hoti Ἡrῴdes thelei se apokteinai.
Edified Edition (EDE)The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying to him, Get you out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill you.

Ἐν αὐτῇ τῇ ⸀ὥρᾳ προσῆλθάν τινες Φαρισαῖοι λέγοντες αὐτῷ· Ἔξελθε καὶ πορεύου ἐντεῦθεν, ὅτι Ἡρῴδης θέλει σε ἀποκτεῖναι.

Phonetic (Greek): kai eipen aytois· Poreuthentes eipate tῇ alopeki taytῃ· Ἰdoy ekballo daimonia kai iaseis ⸀apotelo semeron kai ayrion, kai tῇ tritῃ teleioymai.
Edified Edition (EDE)And he said to them, Go you, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out demons, and I do cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Πορευθέντες εἴπατε τῇ ἀλώπεκι ταύτῃ· Ἰδοὺ ἐκβάλλω δαιμόνια καὶ ἰάσεις ⸀ἀποτελῶ σήμερον καὶ αὔριον, καὶ τῇ τρίτῃ τελειοῦμαι.

Phonetic (Greek): plen dei me semeron kai ayrion kai tῇ echomenῃ poreyesthai, hoti oyk endechetai propheten apolesthai exo Ἰerousalem.
Edified Edition (EDE)Nevertheless I must walk today, and tomorrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

πλὴν δεῖ με σήμερον καὶ αὔριον καὶ τῇ ἐχομένῃ πορεύεσθαι, ὅτι οὐκ ἐνδέχεται προφήτην ἀπολέσθαι ἔξω Ἰερουσαλήμ.

Phonetic (Greek): Ἰerousalem Ἰerousalem, he apokteinousa toys prophetas kai lithoboloysa toys apestalmenous pros ayten— posakis ethelesa episynaxai ta tekna sou hon tropon ornis ten heautes nossian hypo tas pterygas, kai oyk ethelesate.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing!"[/JESUS]

Ἰερουσαλὴμ Ἰερουσαλήμ, ἡ ἀποκτείνουσα τοὺς προφήτας καὶ λιθοβολοῦσα τοὺς ἀπεσταλμένους πρὸς αὐτήν— ποσάκις ἠθέλησα ἐπισυνάξαι τὰ τέκνα σου ὃν τρόπον ὄρνις τὴν ἑαυτῆς νοσσιὰν ὑπὸ τὰς πτέρυγας, καὶ οὐκ ἠθελήσατε.

Phonetic (Greek): idoy aphietai hymin ho oikos ⸀hymon. lego ⸀de ⸀hymin, oy me ⸂idete me⸃ heos ⸂hexei hote⸃ eipete· Eylogemenos ho erchomenos en onomati kyriou.
Edified Edition (EDE)Behold, your house is left to you desolate: and truly I say to you, you shall not see me, until the time come when you shall say, Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord.

ἰδοὺ ἀφίεται ὑμῖν ὁ οἶκος ⸀ὑμῶν. λέγω ⸀δὲ ⸀ὑμῖν, οὐ μὴ ⸂ἴδητέ με⸃ ἕως ⸂ἥξει ὅτε⸃ εἴπητε· Εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου.
