Phonetic (Greek): Kai ⸀eiselthon palin eis Kapharnaoym diʼ ⸀hemeron ekoysthe hoti ⸂en oikῳ⸃ estin·
Edified Edition (EDE)And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house.

Καὶ ⸀εἰσελθὼν πάλιν εἰς Καφαρναοὺμ διʼ ⸀ἡμερῶν ἠκούσθη ὅτι ⸂ἐν οἴκῳ⸃ ἐστίν·

Phonetic (Greek): ⸀kai synechthesan polloi hoste meketi chorein mede ta pros ten thyran, kai elalei aytois ton logon.
Edified Edition (EDE)And immediately many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word to them.

⸀καὶ συνήχθησαν πολλοὶ ὥστε μηκέτι χωρεῖν μηδὲ τὰ πρὸς τὴν θύραν, καὶ ἐλάλει αὐτοῖς τὸν λόγον.

Phonetic (Greek): kai erchontai ⸂pherontes pros ayton paralytikon⸃ airomenon hypo tessaron.
Edified Edition (EDE)And they come to him, bringing one sick of the palsy, who was borne of four.

καὶ ἔρχονται ⸂φέροντες πρὸς αὐτὸν παραλυτικὸν⸃ αἰρόμενον ὑπὸ τεσσάρων.

Phonetic (Greek): kai me dynamenoi ⸀prosenenkai aytῷ dia ton ochlon apestegasan ten stegen hopou en, kai exoryxantes chalosi ton krabatton ⸀hopou ho paralytikos katekeito.
Edified Edition (EDE)And when they could not come nigh to him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

καὶ μὴ δυνάμενοι ⸀προσενέγκαι αὐτῷ διὰ τὸν ὄχλον ἀπεστέγασαν τὴν στέγην ὅπου ἦν, καὶ ἐξορύξαντες χαλῶσι τὸν κράβαττον ⸀ὅπου ὁ παραλυτικὸς κατέκειτο.

Phonetic (Greek): ⸂kai idon⸃ ho Ἰesoys ten pistin ayton legei tῷ paralytikῷ· Teknon, ⸂aphientai sou⸃ ahi ⸀hamartiai.
Edified Edition (EDE)When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, [JESUS]"Son, your sins are forgiven you."[/JESUS]

⸂καὶ ἰδὼν⸃ ὁ Ἰησοῦς τὴν πίστιν αὐτῶν λέγει τῷ παραλυτικῷ· Τέκνον, ⸂ἀφίενταί σου⸃ αἱ ⸀ἁμαρτίαι.

Phonetic (Greek): esan de tines ton grammateon ekei kathemenoi kai dialogizomenoi en tais kardiais ayton·
Edified Edition (EDE)But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

ἦσαν δέ τινες τῶν γραμματέων ἐκεῖ καθήμενοι καὶ διαλογιζόμενοι ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις αὐτῶν·

Phonetic (Greek): Ti ohytos ohytos lalei; ⸀blasphemei· tis dynatai aphienai hamartias ei me ehis ho theos;
Edified Edition (EDE)"Why does this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?"

Τί οὗτος οὕτως λαλεῖ; ⸀βλασφημεῖ· τίς δύναται ἀφιέναι ἁμαρτίας εἰ μὴ εἷς ὁ θεός;

Phonetic (Greek): kai ⸀eythys epignoys ho Ἰesoys tῷ pneymati aytoy hoti ⸀ohytos dialogizontai en heautois ⸀legei aytois· Ti tayta dialogizesthe en tais kardiais hymon;
Edified Edition (EDE)But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, [JESUS]"Why do you reason about these things in your hearts?[/JESUS]

καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς ἐπιγνοὺς ὁ Ἰησοῦς τῷ πνεύματι αὐτοῦ ὅτι ⸀οὕτως διαλογίζονται ἐν ἑαυτοῖς ⸀λέγει αὐτοῖς· Τί ταῦτα διαλογίζεσθε ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν;

Phonetic (Greek): ti estin eykopoteron, eipein tῷ paralytikῷ· ⸀Ἀphientai sou ahi hamartiai, e eipein· ⸀Ἔgeire kai aron ⸂ton krabatton sou⸃ kai peripatei;
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"Which is easier to say to the sick of the palsy, your sins are forgiven you; or to say, Arise, and take up your bed, and walk?"[/JESUS]

τί ἐστιν εὐκοπώτερον, εἰπεῖν τῷ παραλυτικῷ· ⸀Ἀφίενταί σου αἱ ἁμαρτίαι, ἢ εἰπεῖν· ⸀Ἔγειρε καὶ ἆρον ⸂τὸν κράβαττόν σου⸃ καὶ περιπάτει;

Phonetic (Greek): hina de eidete hoti exousian echei ho yhios toy anthropou ⸂epi tes ges aphienai hamartias⸃— legei tῷ paralytikῷ·
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"[/JESUS] (He said to the paralytic),

ἵνα δὲ εἰδῆτε ὅτι ἐξουσίαν ἔχει ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ⸂ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀφιέναι ἁμαρτίας⸃— λέγει τῷ παραλυτικῷ·

Phonetic (Greek): Soi lego, ⸀egeire aron ton krabatton sou kai hypage eis ton oikon sou.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."[/JESUS]

Σοὶ λέγω, ⸀ἔγειρε ἆρον τὸν κράβαττόν σου καὶ ὕπαγε εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου.

Phonetic (Greek): kai egerthe ⸂kai eythys⸃ aras ton krabatton exelthen ⸀emprosthen panton, hoste existasthai pantas kai doxazein ton theon legontas hoti ⸂Ohytos oydepote⸃ eidomen.
Edified Edition (EDE)Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all; so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!"

καὶ ἠγέρθη ⸂καὶ εὐθὺς⸃ ἄρας τὸν κράβαττον ἐξῆλθεν ⸀ἔμπροσθεν πάντων, ὥστε ἐξίστασθαι πάντας καὶ δοξάζειν τὸν θεὸν λέγοντας ὅτι ⸂Οὕτως οὐδέποτε⸃ εἴδομεν.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai exelthen palin para ten thalassan· kai pas ho ochlos ercheto pros ayton, kai edidasken aytoys.
Edified Edition (EDE)And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted to him, and he taught them.

Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν πάλιν παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν· καὶ πᾶς ὁ ὄχλος ἤρχετο πρὸς αὐτόν, καὶ ἐδίδασκεν αὐτούς.

Phonetic (Greek): kai paragon eiden Leuin ton toy Ἁlphaiou kathemenon epi to telonion, kai legei aytῷ· Ἀkoloythei moi. kai anastas ekoloythesen aytῷ.
Edified Edition (EDE)As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, [JESUS]"Follow Me."[/JESUS] So he arose and followed Him.

καὶ παράγων εἶδεν Λευὶν τὸν τοῦ Ἁλφαίου καθήμενον ἐπὶ τὸ τελώνιον, καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Ἀκολούθει μοι. καὶ ἀναστὰς ἠκολούθησεν αὐτῷ.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai ⸀ginetai katakeisthai ayton en tῇ oikiᾳ aytoy, kai polloi telonai kai hamartoloi synanekeinto tῷ Ἰesoy kai tois mathetais aytoy, esan gar polloi kai ⸀ekoloythoun aytῷ.
Edified Edition (EDE)And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.

Καὶ ⸀γίνεται κατακεῖσθαι αὐτὸν ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ αὐτοῦ, καὶ πολλοὶ τελῶναι καὶ ἁμαρτωλοὶ συνανέκειντο τῷ Ἰησοῦ καὶ τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ, ἦσαν γὰρ πολλοὶ καὶ ⸀ἠκολούθουν αὐτῷ.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ohi grammateis ⸂ton Pharisaion⸃ ⸀idontes ⸂hoti esthiei⸃ meta ton ⸂hamartolon kai telonon⸃ elegon tois mathetais aytoy· ⸀Ὅti meta ton ⸂telonon kai hamartolon⸃ ⸀esthiei;
Edified Edition (EDE)And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said to his disciples, "How is it that he eats and drinks with publicans and sinners?"

καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς ⸂τῶν Φαρισαίων⸃ ⸀ἰδόντες ⸂ὅτι ἐσθίει⸃ μετὰ τῶν ⸂ἁμαρτωλῶν καὶ τελωνῶν⸃ ἔλεγον τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ· ⸀Ὅτι μετὰ τῶν ⸂τελωνῶν καὶ ἁμαρτωλῶν⸃ ⸀ἐσθίει;

Phonetic (Greek): kai akoysas ho Ἰesoys legei aytois ⸀hoti Oy chreian echousin ohi ischyontes iatroy allʼ ohi kakos echontes· oyk elthon kalesai dikaious alla ⸀hamartoloys.
Edified Edition (EDE)When Jesus heard it, He said to them, [JESUS]"Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."[/JESUS]

καὶ ἀκούσας ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς ⸀ὅτι Οὐ χρείαν ἔχουσιν οἱ ἰσχύοντες ἰατροῦ ἀλλʼ οἱ κακῶς ἔχοντες· οὐκ ἦλθον καλέσαι δικαίους ἀλλὰ ⸀ἁμαρτωλούς.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai esan ohi mathetai Ἰoannou kai ohi ⸀Pharisaioi nesteyontes. kai erchontai kai legousin aytῷ· Dia ti ohi mathetai Ἰoannou kai ohi ⸀mathetai ton Pharisaion nesteyousin, ohi de soi mathetai oy nesteyousin;
Edified Edition (EDE)And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say to him, "Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples fast not?"

Καὶ ἦσαν οἱ μαθηταὶ Ἰωάννου καὶ οἱ ⸀Φαρισαῖοι νηστεύοντες. καὶ ἔρχονται καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ· Διὰ τί οἱ μαθηταὶ Ἰωάννου καὶ οἱ ⸀μαθηταὶ τῶν Φαρισαίων νηστεύουσιν, οἱ δὲ σοὶ μαθηταὶ οὐ νηστεύουσιν;

Phonetic (Greek): kai eipen aytois ho Ἰesoys· Me dynantai ohi yhioi toy nymphonos en ho ho nymphios metʼ ayton estin nesteyein; hoson chronon ⸂echousin ton nymphion metʼ ayton⸃ oy dynantai nesteyein·
Edified Edition (EDE)And Jesus said to them, [JESUS]"Can the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast.[/JESUS]

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Μὴ δύνανται οἱ υἱοὶ τοῦ νυμφῶνος ἐν ᾧ ὁ νυμφίος μετʼ αὐτῶν ἐστιν νηστεύειν; ὅσον χρόνον ⸂ἔχουσιν τὸν νυμφίον μετʼ αὐτῶν⸃ οὐ δύνανται νηστεύειν·

Phonetic (Greek): eleysontai de hemerai hotan aparthῇ apʼ ayton ho nymphios, kai tote nesteysousin en ⸂ekeinῃ tῇ hemerᾳ⸃.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days."[/JESUS]

ἐλεύσονται δὲ ἡμέραι ὅταν ἀπαρθῇ ἀπʼ αὐτῶν ὁ νυμφίος, καὶ τότε νηστεύσουσιν ἐν ⸂ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ⸃.

Phonetic (Greek): ⸀Oydeis epiblema ῥakous agnaphou epiraptei epi ⸂himation palaion⸃· ei de me, airei to pleroma ⸀apʼ aytoy to kainon toy palaioy, kai cheiron schisma ginetai.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"No man also sews a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up takes away from the old, and the rent is made worse."[/JESUS]

⸀Οὐδεὶς ἐπίβλημα ῥάκους ἀγνάφου ἐπιράπτει ἐπὶ ⸂ἱμάτιον παλαιόν⸃· εἰ δὲ μή, αἴρει τὸ πλήρωμα ⸀ἀπʼ αὐτοῦ τὸ καινὸν τοῦ παλαιοῦ, καὶ χεῖρον σχίσμα γίνεται.

Phonetic (Greek): kai oydeis ballei oinon neon eis askoys palaioys· ei de me, ⸂ῥexei ho oinos⸃ toys askoys, kai ho oinos ⸂apollytai kai ohi askoi⸃. alla oinon neon eis askoys ⸀kainoys.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"And no man puts new wine into old bottles: else the new wine does burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be ruined: but new wine must be put into new bottles."[/JESUS]

καὶ οὐδεὶς βάλλει οἶνον νέον εἰς ἀσκοὺς παλαιούς· εἰ δὲ μή, ⸂ῥήξει ὁ οἶνος⸃ τοὺς ἀσκούς, καὶ ὁ οἶνος ⸂ἀπόλλυται καὶ οἱ ἀσκοί⸃. ἀλλὰ οἶνον νέον εἰς ἀσκοὺς ⸀καινούς.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai egeneto ⸂ayton en tois sabbasin paraporeyesthai⸃ dia ton sporimon, kai ⸂ohi mathetai aytoy erxanto⸃ hodon poiein tillontes toys stachyas.
Edified Edition (EDE)And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.

Καὶ ἐγένετο ⸂αὐτὸν ἐν τοῖς σάββασιν παραπορεύεσθαι⸃ διὰ τῶν σπορίμων, καὶ ⸂οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ ἤρξαντο⸃ ὁδὸν ποιεῖν τίλλοντες τοὺς στάχυας.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ohi Pharisaioi elegon aytῷ· Ἴde ti ⸀poioysin tois sabbasin ho oyk exestin;
Edified Edition (EDE)And the Pharisees said to him, "Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?"

καὶ οἱ Φαρισαῖοι ἔλεγον αὐτῷ· Ἴδε τί ⸀ποιοῦσιν τοῖς σάββασιν ὃ οὐκ ἔξεστιν;

Phonetic (Greek): kai ⸀legei aytois· Oydepote anegnote ti epoiesen Dauid hote chreian eschen kai epeinasen aytos kai ohi metʼ aytoy;
Edified Edition (EDE)And He said to them, [JESUS]"Have you never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry, he, and they that were with him?"[/JESUS]

καὶ ⸀λέγει αὐτοῖς· Οὐδέποτε ἀνέγνωτε τί ἐποίησεν Δαυὶδ ὅτε χρείαν ἔσχεν καὶ ἐπείνασεν αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ μετʼ αὐτοῦ;

Phonetic (Greek): ⸀pos eiselthen eis ton oikon toy theoy epi Ἀbiathar archiereos kai toys artous tes protheseos ephagen, ohys oyk exestin phagein ei me ⸂toys hiereis⸃, kai edoken kai tois syn aytῷ oysin;
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the sacred bread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to those who were with him?"[/JESUS]

⸀πῶς εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ ἐπὶ Ἀβιαθὰρ ἀρχιερέως καὶ τοὺς ἄρτους τῆς προθέσεως ἔφαγεν, οὓς οὐκ ἔξεστιν φαγεῖν εἰ μὴ ⸂τοὺς ἱερεῖς⸃, καὶ ἔδωκεν καὶ τοῖς σὺν αὐτῷ οὖσιν;

Phonetic (Greek): kai elegen aytois· To sabbaton dia ton anthropon egeneto ⸀kai oych ho anthropos dia to sabbaton·
Edified Edition (EDE)And He said to them, [JESUS]"The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.[/JESUS]

καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς· Τὸ σάββατον διὰ τὸν ἄνθρωπον ἐγένετο ⸀καὶ οὐχ ὁ ἄνθρωπος διὰ τὸ σάββατον·

Phonetic (Greek): hoste kyrios estin ho yhios toy anthropou kai toy sabbatou.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath."[/JESUS]

ὥστε κύριός ἐστιν ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου καὶ τοῦ σαββάτου.
