Phonetic (Greek): Ἐn ekeinais tais hemerais ⸂palin polloy⸃ ochlou ontos kai me echonton ti phagosin, ⸀proskalesamenos toys ⸀mathetas legei aytois·
Edified Edition (EDE)In those days, the multitude being very great and having nothing to eat, Jesus called His disciples to Him and said to them:

Ἐν ἐκείναις ταῖς ἡμέραις ⸂πάλιν πολλοῦ⸃ ὄχλου ὄντος καὶ μὴ ἐχόντων τί φάγωσιν, ⸀προσκαλεσάμενος τοὺς ⸀μαθητὰς λέγει αὐτοῖς·

Phonetic (Greek): Splanchnizomai epi ton ochlon hoti ede hemerai treis prosmenousin moi kai oyk echousin ti phagosin·
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat."[/JESUS]

Σπλαγχνίζομαι ἐπὶ τὸν ὄχλον ὅτι ἤδη ἡμέραι τρεῖς προσμένουσίν μοι καὶ οὐκ ἔχουσιν τί φάγωσιν·

Phonetic (Greek): kai ean apolyso aytoys nesteis eis oikon ayton, eklythesontai en tῇ hodῷ· ⸂kai tines⸃ ayton ⸀apo makrothen ⸀hekasin.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for some of them came from a distance."[/JESUS]

καὶ ἐὰν ἀπολύσω αὐτοὺς νήστεις εἰς οἶκον αὐτῶν, ἐκλυθήσονται ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ· ⸂καί τινες⸃ αὐτῶν ⸀ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ⸀ἥκασιν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai apekrithesan aytῷ ohi mathetai aytoy ⸀hoti Pothen toytous dynesetai tis hode chortasai arton epʼ eremias;
Edified Edition (EDE)And his disciples answered Him, "From where can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?"

καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ ⸀ὅτι Πόθεν τούτους δυνήσεταί τις ὧδε χορτάσαι ἄρτων ἐπʼ ἐρημίας;

Phonetic (Greek): kai ⸀erota aytoys· Posous echete artous; ohi de eipan· Ἑpta.
Edified Edition (EDE)He asked them, [JESUS]"How many loaves do you have?"[/JESUS] And they said, "Seven."

καὶ ⸀ἠρώτα αὐτούς· Πόσους ἔχετε ἄρτους; οἱ δὲ εἶπαν· Ἑπτά.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ⸀parangellei tῷ ochlῳ anapesein epi tes ges· kai labon toys hepta artous eycharistesas eklasen kai edidou tois mathetais aytoy hina ⸀paratithosin kai parethekan tῷ ochlῳ.
Edified Edition (EDE)He directed the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and they set them before the multitude.

καὶ ⸀παραγγέλλει τῷ ὄχλῳ ἀναπεσεῖν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς· καὶ λαβὼν τοὺς ἑπτὰ ἄρτους εὐχαριστήσας ἔκλασεν καὶ ἐδίδου τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ ἵνα ⸀παρατιθῶσιν καὶ παρέθηκαν τῷ ὄχλῳ.

Phonetic (Greek): kai eichon ichthydia oliga· kai eylogesas ⸀ayta eipen ⸂kai tayta paratithenai⸃.
Edified Edition (EDE)And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them.

καὶ εἶχον ἰχθύδια ὀλίγα· καὶ εὐλογήσας ⸀αὐτὰ εἶπεν ⸂καὶ ταῦτα παρατιθέναι⸃.

Phonetic (Greek): ⸂kai ephagon⸃ kai echortasthesan, kai eran perisseymata klasmaton hepta spyridas.
Edified Edition (EDE)So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets.

⸂καὶ ἔφαγον⸃ καὶ ἐχορτάσθησαν, καὶ ἦραν περισσεύματα κλασμάτων ἑπτὰ σπυρίδας.

Phonetic (Greek): esan ⸀de hos tetrakischilioi. kai apelysen aytoys.
Edified Edition (EDE)And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away.

ἦσαν ⸀δὲ ὡς τετρακισχίλιοι. καὶ ἀπέλυσεν αὐτούς.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ⸀eythys embas eis to ploion meta ton matheton aytoy elthen eis ta mere Dalmanoutha.
Edified Edition (EDE)And immediately he entered into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.

καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς ἐμβὰς εἰς τὸ πλοῖον μετὰ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ ἦλθεν εἰς τὰ μέρη Δαλμανουθά.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai exelthon ohi Pharisaioi kai erxanto syzetein aytῷ, zetoyntes parʼ aytoy semeion apo toy oyranoy, peirazontes ayton.
Edified Edition (EDE)And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

Καὶ ἐξῆλθον οἱ Φαρισαῖοι καὶ ἤρξαντο συζητεῖν αὐτῷ, ζητοῦντες παρʼ αὐτοῦ σημεῖον ἀπὸ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, πειράζοντες αὐτόν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai anastenaxas tῷ pneymati aytoy legei· Ti he genea ahyte ⸂zetei semeion⸃; amen lego ⸀hymin, ei dothesetai tῇ geneᾷ taytῃ semeion.
Edified Edition (EDE)But He sighed deeply in His spirit, and said, [JESUS]"Why does this generation seek a sign? Assuredly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation."[/JESUS]

καὶ ἀναστενάξας τῷ πνεύματι αὐτοῦ λέγει· Τί ἡ γενεὰ αὕτη ⸂ζητεῖ σημεῖον⸃; ἀμὴν λέγω ⸀ὑμῖν, εἰ δοθήσεται τῇ γενεᾷ ταύτῃ σημεῖον.

Phonetic (Greek): kai apheis aytoys ⸂palin embas⸃ apelthen eis to peran.
Edified Edition (EDE)And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side.

καὶ ἀφεὶς αὐτοὺς ⸂πάλιν ἐμβὰς⸃ ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὸ πέραν.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai epelathonto labein artous, kai ei me hena arton oyk eichon methʼ heauton en tῷ ploiῳ.
Edified Edition (EDE)Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.

Καὶ ἐπελάθοντο λαβεῖν ἄρτους, καὶ εἰ μὴ ἕνα ἄρτον οὐκ εἶχον μεθʼ ἑαυτῶν ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ.

Phonetic (Greek): kai diestelleto aytois legon· Ὁrate, blepete apo tes zymes ton Pharisaion kai tes zymes Ἡrῴdou.
Edified Edition (EDE)Then He charged them, saying, [JESUS]"Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod."[/JESUS]

καὶ διεστέλλετο αὐτοῖς λέγων· Ὁρᾶτε, βλέπετε ἀπὸ τῆς ζύμης τῶν Φαρισαίων καὶ τῆς ζύμης Ἡρῴδου.

Phonetic (Greek): kai dielogizonto pros ⸀allelous hoti artous oyk ⸀echousin.
Edified Edition (EDE)And they reasoned among themselves, saying, "It is because we have no bread."

καὶ διελογίζοντο πρὸς ⸀ἀλλήλους ὅτι ἄρτους οὐκ ⸀ἔχουσιν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ⸀gnoys legei aytois· Ti dialogizesthe hoti artous oyk echete; oypo noeite oyde syniete; ⸀peporomenen echete ten kardian hymon;
Edified Edition (EDE)And when Jesus knew it, He says to them, [JESUS]"Why do you reason because you have no bread? do you not yet perceive, nor understand? have you your heart yet hardened?"[/JESUS]

καὶ ⸀γνοὺς λέγει αὐτοῖς· Τί διαλογίζεσθε ὅτι ἄρτους οὐκ ἔχετε; οὔπω νοεῖτε οὐδὲ συνίετε; ⸀πεπωρωμένην ἔχετε τὴν καρδίαν ὑμῶν;

Phonetic (Greek): ophthalmoys echontes oy blepete kai ota echontes oyk akoyete; kai oy mnemoneyete
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"Having eyes, see you not? and having ears, hear you not? and do you not remember?"[/JESUS]

ὀφθαλμοὺς ἔχοντες οὐ βλέπετε καὶ ὦτα ἔχοντες οὐκ ἀκούετε; καὶ οὐ μνημονεύετε

Phonetic (Greek): hote toys pente artous eklasa eis toys pentakischilious, posous kophinous ⸂klasmaton plereis⸃ erate; legousin aytῷ· Dodeka.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up?"[/JESUS] They said to Him, "Twelve."

ὅτε τοὺς πέντε ἄρτους ἔκλασα εἰς τοὺς πεντακισχιλίους, πόσους κοφίνους ⸂κλασμάτων πλήρεις⸃ ἤρατε; λέγουσιν αὐτῷ· Δώδεκα.

Phonetic (Greek): hote ⸀kai toys hepta eis toys tetrakischilious, poson spyridon pleromata klasmaton erate; ⸂kai legousin aytῷ⸃· Ἑpta.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"Also, when I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many large baskets full of fragments did you take up?"[/JESUS] And they said, "Seven."

ὅτε ⸀καὶ τοὺς ἑπτὰ εἰς τοὺς τετρακισχιλίους, πόσων σπυρίδων πληρώματα κλασμάτων ἤρατε; ⸂καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ⸃· Ἑπτά.

Phonetic (Greek): kai elegen aytois· ⸀Oypo syniete;
Edified Edition (EDE)And He said to them, [JESUS]"How is it that you do not understand?"[/JESUS]

καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς· ⸀Οὔπω συνίετε;

Phonetic (Greek): Kai ⸀erchontai eis Bethsaidan. kai pherousin aytῷ typhlon kai parakaloysin ayton hina aytoy hapsetai.
Edified Edition (EDE)And he comes to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man to him, and besought him to touch him.

Καὶ ⸀ἔρχονται εἰς Βηθσαϊδάν. καὶ φέρουσιν αὐτῷ τυφλὸν καὶ παρακαλοῦσιν αὐτὸν ἵνα αὐτοῦ ἅψηται.

Phonetic (Greek): kai epilabomenos tes cheiros toy typhloy ⸀exenenken ayton exo tes komes, kai ptysas eis ta ommata aytoy, epitheis tas cheiras aytῷ, eperota ayton· Ei ti ⸀blepeis;
Edified Edition (EDE)And He took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when He had spit on his eyes, and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything.

καὶ ἐπιλαβόμενος τῆς χειρὸς τοῦ τυφλοῦ ⸀ἐξήνεγκεν αὐτὸν ἔξω τῆς κώμης, καὶ πτύσας εἰς τὰ ὄμματα αὐτοῦ, ἐπιθεὶς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῷ, ἐπηρώτα αὐτόν· Εἴ τι ⸀βλέπεις;

Phonetic (Greek): kai anablepsas elegen· Blepo toys anthropous hoti hos dendra horo peripatoyntas.
Edified Edition (EDE)And he looked up, and said, "I see men as trees, walking."

καὶ ἀναβλέψας ἔλεγεν· Βλέπω τοὺς ἀνθρώπους ὅτι ὡς δένδρα ὁρῶ περιπατοῦντας.

Phonetic (Greek): eita palin ⸀epetheken tas cheiras epi toys ophthalmoys aytoy, kai ⸂dieblepsen kai apekateste kai eneblepen⸃ telaugos ⸀hapanta.
Edified Edition (EDE)After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

εἶτα πάλιν ⸀ἐπέθηκεν τὰς χεῖρας ἐπὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ, καὶ ⸂διέβλεψεν καὶ ἀπεκατέστη καὶ ἐνέβλεπεν⸃ τηλαυγῶς ⸀ἅπαντα.

Phonetic (Greek): kai apesteilen ayton ⸀eis oikon aytoy legon· Mede eis ten komen ⸀eiselthῃs.
Edified Edition (EDE)And He sent him away to his house, saying, [JESUS]"Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town."[/JESUS]

καὶ ἀπέστειλεν αὐτὸν ⸀εἰς οἶκον αὐτοῦ λέγων· Μηδὲ εἰς τὴν κώμην ⸀εἰσέλθῃς.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai exelthen ho Ἰesoys kai ohi mathetai aytoy eis tas komas Kaisareias tes Philippou· kai en tῇ hodῷ eperota toys mathetas aytoy legon aytois· Tina me legousin ohi anthropoi einai;
Edified Edition (EDE)And Jesus went out, and His disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way He asked His disciples, saying to them, [JESUS]"Whom do men say that I am?"[/JESUS]

Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὰς κώμας Καισαρείας τῆς Φιλίππου· καὶ ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἐπηρώτα τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ λέγων αὐτοῖς· Τίνα με λέγουσιν οἱ ἄνθρωποι εἶναι;

Phonetic (Greek): ohi de ⸂eipan aytῷ legontes⸃ ⸀hoti Ἰoannen ton baptisten, kai alloi Ἠlian, alloi de ⸂hoti ehis⸃ ton propheton.
Edified Edition (EDE)And they answered, "John the Baptist: but some say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets."

οἱ δὲ ⸂εἶπαν αὐτῷ λέγοντες⸃ ⸀ὅτι Ἰωάννην τὸν βαπτιστήν, καὶ ἄλλοι Ἠλίαν, ἄλλοι δὲ ⸂ὅτι εἷς⸃ τῶν προφητῶν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai aytos ⸂eperota aytoys⸃· Ὑmeis de tina me legete einai; ⸀apokritheis ho Petros legei aytῷ· Sy ei ho christos.
Edified Edition (EDE)He said to them, [JESUS]"But who do you say that I am?"[/JESUS] Peter answered and said to Him, "You are the Christ."

καὶ αὐτὸς ⸂ἐπηρώτα αὐτούς⸃· Ὑμεῖς δὲ τίνα με λέγετε εἶναι; ⸀ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Πέτρος λέγει αὐτῷ· Σὺ εἶ ὁ χριστός.

Phonetic (Greek): kai epetimesen aytois hina medeni legosin peri aytoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.

καὶ ἐπετίμησεν αὐτοῖς ἵνα μηδενὶ λέγωσιν περὶ αὐτοῦ.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai erxato didaskein aytoys hoti dei ton yhion toy anthropou polla pathein kai apodokimasthenai ⸀hypo ton presbyteron kai ton archiereon kai ton grammateon kai apoktanthenai kai meta treis hemeras anastenai·
Edified Edition (EDE)And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

Καὶ ἤρξατο διδάσκειν αὐτοὺς ὅτι δεῖ τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου πολλὰ παθεῖν καὶ ἀποδοκιμασθῆναι ⸀ὑπὸ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων καὶ τῶν ἀρχιερέων καὶ τῶν γραμματέων καὶ ἀποκτανθῆναι καὶ μετὰ τρεῖς ἡμέρας ἀναστῆναι·

Phonetic (Greek): kai parresiᾳ ton logon elalei. kai proslabomenos ⸂ho Petros ayton⸃ erxato epitiman aytῷ.
Edified Edition (EDE)And he spoke that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.

καὶ παρρησίᾳ τὸν λόγον ἐλάλει. καὶ προσλαβόμενος ⸂ὁ Πέτρος αὐτὸν⸃ ἤρξατο ἐπιτιμᾶν αὐτῷ.

Phonetic (Greek): ho de epistrapheis kai idon toys mathetas aytoy epetimesen ⸀Petrῳ ⸂kai legei⸃· Ὕpage opiso mou, Satana, hoti oy phroneis ta toy theoy alla ta ton anthropon.
Edified Edition (EDE)But when He had turned around and looked on His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, [JESUS]"Get you behind Me, Satan: for you savour not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men."[/JESUS]

ὁ δὲ ἐπιστραφεὶς καὶ ἰδὼν τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ ἐπετίμησεν ⸀Πέτρῳ ⸂καὶ λέγει⸃· Ὕπαγε ὀπίσω μου, Σατανᾶ, ὅτι οὐ φρονεῖς τὰ τοῦ θεοῦ ἀλλὰ τὰ τῶν ἀνθρώπων.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai proskalesamenos ton ochlon syn tois mathetais aytoy eipen aytois· ⸂Ei tis⸃ thelei opiso mou ⸀elthein, aparnesastho heauton kai arato ton stauron aytoy kai akoloutheito moi.
Edified Edition (EDE)When He had called the multitude to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, [JESUS]"Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me."[/JESUS]

Καὶ προσκαλεσάμενος τὸν ὄχλον σὺν τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· ⸂Εἴ τις⸃ θέλει ὀπίσω μου ⸀ἐλθεῖν, ἀπαρνησάσθω ἑαυτὸν καὶ ἀράτω τὸν σταυρὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀκολουθείτω μοι.

Phonetic (Greek): hos gar ⸀ean thelῃ ten ⸂psychen aytoy⸃ sosai apolesei ayten· hos dʼ an ⸀apolesei ten ⸄psychen aytoy⸅ heneken emoy kai toy eyangeliou ⸀sosei ayten.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it."[/JESUS]

ὃς γὰρ ⸀ἐὰν θέλῃ τὴν ⸂ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ⸃ σῶσαι ἀπολέσει αὐτήν· ὃς δʼ ἂν ⸀ἀπολέσει τὴν ⸄ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ⸅ ἕνεκεν ἐμοῦ καὶ τοῦ εὐαγγελίου ⸀σώσει αὐτήν.

Phonetic (Greek): ti gar ⸀ophelei ⸀anthropon ⸂kerdesai ton kosmon holon kai zemiothenai⸃ ten psychen aytoy;
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"[/JESUS]

τί γὰρ ⸀ὠφελεῖ ⸀ἄνθρωπον ⸂κερδῆσαι τὸν κόσμον ὅλον καὶ ζημιωθῆναι⸃ τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ;

Phonetic (Greek): ⸂ti gar⸃ ⸀doi anthropos antallagma tes psyches aytoy;
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"[/JESUS]

⸂τί γὰρ⸃ ⸀δοῖ ἄνθρωπος ἀντάλλαγμα τῆς ψυχῆς αὐτοῦ;

Phonetic (Greek): hos gar ean epaischynthῇ me kai toys emoys logous en tῇ geneᾷ taytῃ tῇ moichalidi kai hamartolῷ, kai ho yhios toy anthropou epaischynthesetai ayton hotan elthῃ en tῇ doxῃ toy patros aytoy meta ton angelon ton hagion.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels."[/JESUS]

ὃς γὰρ ἐὰν ἐπαισχυνθῇ με καὶ τοὺς ἐμοὺς λόγους ἐν τῇ γενεᾷ ταύτῃ τῇ μοιχαλίδι καὶ ἁμαρτωλῷ, καὶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐπαισχυνθήσεται αὐτὸν ὅταν ἔλθῃ ἐν τῇ δόξῃ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ μετὰ τῶν ἀγγέλων τῶν ἁγίων.
