Phonetic (Greek): ⸂Katabantos de aytoy⸃ apo toy orous ekoloythesan aytῷ ochloi polloi.
Edified Edition (EDE)When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him.

⸂Καταβάντος δὲ αὐτοῦ⸃ ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄρους ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ ὄχλοι πολλοί.

Phonetic (Greek): kai idoy lepros ⸀proselthon prosekynei aytῷ legon· Kyrie, ean thelῃs dynasai me katharisai.
Edified Edition (EDE)And behold, a leper came and worshipped Him, saying, "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean."

καὶ ἰδοὺ λεπρὸς ⸀προσελθὼν προσεκύνει αὐτῷ λέγων· Κύριε, ἐὰν θέλῃς δύνασαί με καθαρίσαι.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ekteinas ten cheira hepsato ⸀aytoy legon· Thelo, katharistheti· kai eytheos ekatharisthe aytoy he lepra.
Edified Edition (EDE)Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, [JESUS]"I am willing; be cleansed."[/JESUS] Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

καὶ ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα ἥψατο ⸀αὐτοῦ λέγων· Θέλω, καθαρίσθητι· καὶ εὐθέως ἐκαθαρίσθη αὐτοῦ ἡ λέπρα.

Phonetic (Greek): kai legei aytῷ ho Ἰesoys· Ὅra medeni eipῃs, alla hypage seauton deixon tῷ hierei, kai prosenenkon to doron ho prosetaxen Moyses eis martyrion aytois.
Edified Edition (EDE)And Jesus said to him, [JESUS]"See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."[/JESUS]

καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Ὅρα μηδενὶ εἴπῃς, ἀλλὰ ὕπαγε σεαυτὸν δεῖξον τῷ ἱερεῖ, καὶ προσένεγκον τὸ δῶρον ὃ προσέταξεν Μωϋσῆς εἰς μαρτύριον αὐτοῖς.

Phonetic (Greek): ⸂Eiselthontos de aytoy⸃ eis Kapharnaoym proselthen aytῷ hekatontarchos parakalon ayton
Edified Edition (EDE)Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,

⸂Εἰσελθόντος δὲ αὐτοῦ⸃ εἰς Καφαρναοὺμ προσῆλθεν αὐτῷ ἑκατόνταρχος παρακαλῶν αὐτὸν

Phonetic (Greek): kai legon· Kyrie, ho pais mou bebletai en tῇ oikiᾳ paralytikos, deinos basanizomenos.
Edified Edition (EDE)saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented."

καὶ λέγων· Κύριε, ὁ παῖς μου βέβληται ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ παραλυτικός, δεινῶς βασανιζόμενος.

Phonetic (Greek): ⸀kai legei ⸀aytῷ· Ἐgo elthon therapeyso ayton.
Edified Edition (EDE)And Jesus said to him, [JESUS]"I will come and heal him."[/JESUS]

⸀καὶ λέγει ⸀αὐτῷ· Ἐγὼ ἐλθὼν θεραπεύσω αὐτόν.

Phonetic (Greek): ⸂kai apokritheis⸃ ho hekatontarchos ephe· Kyrie, oyk eimi hikanos hina mou hypo ten stegen eiselthῃs· alla monon eipe logῳ, kai iathesetai ho pais mou·
Edified Edition (EDE)The centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.

⸂καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς⸃ ὁ ἑκατόνταρχος ἔφη· Κύριε, οὐκ εἰμὶ ἱκανὸς ἵνα μου ὑπὸ τὴν στέγην εἰσέλθῃς· ἀλλὰ μόνον εἰπὲ λόγῳ, καὶ ἰαθήσεται ὁ παῖς μου·

Phonetic (Greek): kai gar ego anthropos eimi hypo ⸀exousian, echon hypʼ emauton stratiotas, kai lego toytῳ· Poreytheti, kai poreyetai, kai allῳ· Ἔrchou, kai erchetai, kai tῷ doylῳ mou· Poieson toyto, kai poiei.
Edified Edition (EDE)For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.

καὶ γὰρ ἐγὼ ἄνθρωπός εἰμι ὑπὸ ⸀ἐξουσίαν, ἔχων ὑπʼ ἐμαυτὸν στρατιώτας, καὶ λέγω τούτῳ· Πορεύθητι, καὶ πορεύεται, καὶ ἄλλῳ· Ἔρχου, καὶ ἔρχεται, καὶ τῷ δούλῳ μου· Ποίησον τοῦτο, καὶ ποιεῖ.

Phonetic (Greek): akoysas de ho Ἰesoys ethaymasen kai eipen tois akolouthoysin· Ἀmen lego hymin, ⸂parʼ oydeni tosayten pistin en tῷ Ἰsrael⸃ ehyron.
Edified Edition (EDE)When Jesus heard it, He marvelled, and said to those who followed, [JESUS]"Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, even in Israel!"[/JESUS]

ἀκούσας δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐθαύμασεν καὶ εἶπεν τοῖς ἀκολουθοῦσιν· Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ⸂παρʼ οὐδενὶ τοσαύτην πίστιν ἐν τῷ Ἰσραὴλ⸃ εὗρον.

Phonetic (Greek): lego de hymin hoti polloi apo anatolon kai dysmon hexousin kai anaklithesontai meta Ἀbraam kai Ἰsaak kai Ἰakob en tῇ basileiᾳ ton oyranon·
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.[/JESUS]

λέγω δὲ ὑμῖν ὅτι πολλοὶ ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν καὶ δυσμῶν ἥξουσιν καὶ ἀνακλιθήσονται μετὰ Ἀβραὰμ καὶ Ἰσαὰκ καὶ Ἰακὼβ ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τῶν οὐρανῶν·

Phonetic (Greek): ohi de yhioi tes basileias ekblethesontai eis to skotos to exoteron· ekei estai ho klauthmos kai ho brygmos ton odonton.
Edified Edition (EDE)[JESUS]"But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."[/JESUS]

οἱ δὲ υἱοὶ τῆς βασιλείας ἐκβληθήσονται εἰς τὸ σκότος τὸ ἐξώτερον· ἐκεῖ ἔσται ὁ κλαυθμὸς καὶ ὁ βρυγμὸς τῶν ὀδόντων.

Phonetic (Greek): kai eipen ho Ἰesoys tῷ hekatontarchῃ· Ὕpage, ⸀hos episteusas genetheto soi· kai iathe ho ⸀pais en tῇ horᾳ ekeinῃ.
Edified Edition (EDE)Then Jesus said to the centurion, [JESUS]"Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you."[/JESUS] And his servant was healed that same hour.

καὶ εἶπεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς τῷ ἑκατοντάρχῃ· Ὕπαγε, ⸀ὡς ἐπίστευσας γενηθήτω σοι· καὶ ἰάθη ὁ ⸀παῖς ἐν τῇ ὥρᾳ ἐκείνῃ.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai elthon ho Ἰesoys eis ten oikian Petrou eiden ten pentheran aytoy beblemenen kai pyressousan·
Edified Edition (EDE)Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever.

Καὶ ἐλθὼν ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν Πέτρου εἶδεν τὴν πενθερὰν αὐτοῦ βεβλημένην καὶ πυρέσσουσαν·

Phonetic (Greek): kai hepsato tes cheiros aytes, kai apheken ayten ho pyretos, kai egerthe kai diekonei aytῷ.
Edified Edition (EDE)So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them.

καὶ ἥψατο τῆς χειρὸς αὐτῆς, καὶ ἀφῆκεν αὐτὴν ὁ πυρετός, καὶ ἠγέρθη καὶ διηκόνει αὐτῷ.

Phonetic (Greek): Ὀpsias de genomenes prosenenkan aytῷ daimonizomenous polloys· kai exebalen ta pneymata logῳ, kai pantas toys kakos echontas etherapeusen·
Edified Edition (EDE)When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,

Ὀψίας δὲ γενομένης προσήνεγκαν αὐτῷ δαιμονιζομένους πολλούς· καὶ ἐξέβαλεν τὰ πνεύματα λόγῳ, καὶ πάντας τοὺς κακῶς ἔχοντας ἐθεράπευσεν·

Phonetic (Greek): hopos plerothῇ to ῥethen dia Ἠsaiou toy prophetou legontos· Aytos tas astheneias hemon elaben kai tas nosous ebastasen.
Edified Edition (EDE)that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses."

ὅπως πληρωθῇ τὸ ῥηθὲν διὰ Ἠσαΐου τοῦ προφήτου λέγοντος· Αὐτὸς τὰς ἀσθενείας ἡμῶν ἔλαβεν καὶ τὰς νόσους ἐβάστασεν.

Phonetic (Greek): Ἰdon de ho Ἰesoys ⸂polloys ochlous⸃ peri ayton ekeleusen apelthein eis to peran.
Edified Edition (EDE)Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart to the other side.

Ἰδὼν δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ⸂πολλοὺς ὄχλους⸃ περὶ αὐτὸν ἐκέλευσεν ἀπελθεῖν εἰς τὸ πέραν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai proselthon ehis grammateys eipen aytῷ· Didaskale, akoloutheso soi hopou ean aperchῃ.
Edified Edition (EDE)And a certain scribe came, and said to Him, "Master, I will follow You wherever You go."

καὶ προσελθὼν εἷς γραμματεὺς εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Διδάσκαλε, ἀκολουθήσω σοι ὅπου ἐὰν ἀπέρχῃ.

Phonetic (Greek): kai legei aytῷ ho Ἰesoys· Ahi alopekes pholeoys echousin kai ta peteina toy oyranoy kataskenoseis, ho de yhios toy anthropou oyk echei poy ten kephalen klinῃ.
Edified Edition (EDE)Jesus said to him, [JESUS]"Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head."[/JESUS]

καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Αἱ ἀλώπεκες φωλεοὺς ἔχουσιν καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατασκηνώσεις, ὁ δὲ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου οὐκ ἔχει ποῦ τὴν κεφαλὴν κλίνῃ.

Phonetic (Greek): heteros de ton ⸀matheton eipen aytῷ· Kyrie, epitrepson moi proton apelthein kai thapsai ton patera mou.
Edified Edition (EDE)And another of his disciples said to him, "Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father."

ἕτερος δὲ τῶν ⸀μαθητῶν εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Κύριε, ἐπίτρεψόν μοι πρῶτον ἀπελθεῖν καὶ θάψαι τὸν πατέρα μου.

Phonetic (Greek): ho de Ἰesoys ⸀legei aytῷ· Ἀkoloythei moi, kai aphes toys nekroys thapsai toys heauton nekroys.
Edified Edition (EDE)But Jesus said to him, [JESUS]"Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead."[/JESUS]

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς ⸀λέγει αὐτῷ· Ἀκολούθει μοι, καὶ ἄφες τοὺς νεκροὺς θάψαι τοὺς ἑαυτῶν νεκρούς.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai embanti aytῷ ⸀eis ploion ekoloythesan aytῷ ohi mathetai aytoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.

Καὶ ἐμβάντι αὐτῷ ⸀εἰς πλοῖον ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ.

Phonetic (Greek): kai idoy seismos megas egeneto en tῇ thalassῃ, hoste to ploion kalyptesthai hypo ton kymaton, aytos de ekatheuden.
Edified Edition (EDE)And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.

καὶ ἰδοὺ σεισμὸς μέγας ἐγένετο ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ, ὥστε τὸ πλοῖον καλύπτεσθαι ὑπὸ τῶν κυμάτων, αὐτὸς δὲ ἐκάθευδεν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ⸀proselthontes egeiran ayton legontes· Kyrie, ⸀soson, apollymetha.
Edified Edition (EDE)Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!"

καὶ ⸀προσελθόντες ἤγειραν αὐτὸν λέγοντες· Κύριε, ⸀σῶσον, ἀπολλύμεθα.

Phonetic (Greek): kai legei aytois· Ti deiloi este, oligopistoi; tote egertheis epetimesen tois anemois kai tῇ thalassῃ, kai egeneto galene megale.
Edified Edition (EDE)But He said to them, [JESUS]"Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?"[/JESUS] Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Τί δειλοί ἐστε, ὀλιγόπιστοι; τότε ἐγερθεὶς ἐπετίμησεν τοῖς ἀνέμοις καὶ τῇ θαλάσσῃ, καὶ ἐγένετο γαλήνη μεγάλη.

Phonetic (Greek): ohi de anthropoi ethaymasan legontes· Potapos estin ohytos hoti kai ohi anemoi kai he thalassa ⸂aytῷ hypakoyousin⸃;
Edified Edition (EDE)But the men marvelled, saying, "What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!"

οἱ δὲ ἄνθρωποι ἐθαύμασαν λέγοντες· Ποταπός ἐστιν οὗτος ὅτι καὶ οἱ ἄνεμοι καὶ ἡ θάλασσα ⸂αὐτῷ ὑπακούουσιν⸃;

Phonetic (Greek): Kai ⸂elthontos aytoy⸃ eis to peran eis ten choran ton ⸀Gadarenon hypentesan aytῷ dyo daimonizomenoi ek ton mnemeion exerchomenoi, chalepoi lian hoste me ischyein tina parelthein dia tes hodoy ekeines.
Edified Edition (EDE)And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with demons, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

Καὶ ⸂ἐλθόντος αὐτοῦ⸃ εἰς τὸ πέραν εἰς τὴν χώραν τῶν ⸀Γαδαρηνῶν ὑπήντησαν αὐτῷ δύο δαιμονιζόμενοι ἐκ τῶν μνημείων ἐξερχόμενοι, χαλεποὶ λίαν ὥστε μὴ ἰσχύειν τινὰ παρελθεῖν διὰ τῆς ὁδοῦ ἐκείνης.

Phonetic (Greek): kai idoy ekraxan legontes· Ti hemin kai ⸀soi, yhie toy theoy; elthes hode pro kairoy basanisai hemas;
Edified Edition (EDE)And, behold, they cried out, saying, "What have we to do with you, Jesus, you Son of God? are you come Here to torment us before the time?"

καὶ ἰδοὺ ἔκραξαν λέγοντες· Τί ἡμῖν καὶ ⸀σοί, υἱὲ τοῦ θεοῦ; ἦλθες ὧδε πρὸ καιροῦ βασανίσαι ἡμᾶς;

Phonetic (Greek): en de makran apʼ ayton agele choiron pollon boskomene.
Edified Edition (EDE)And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.

ἦν δὲ μακρὰν ἀπʼ αὐτῶν ἀγέλη χοίρων πολλῶν βοσκομένη.

Phonetic (Greek): ohi de daimones parekaloun ayton legontes· Ei ekballeis hemas, ⸂aposteilon hemas⸃ eis ten agelen ton choiron.
Edified Edition (EDE)So the demons besought him, saying, "If you cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine."

οἱ δὲ δαίμονες παρεκάλουν αὐτὸν λέγοντες· Εἰ ἐκβάλλεις ἡμᾶς, ⸂ἀπόστειλον ἡμᾶς⸃ εἰς τὴν ἀγέλην τῶν χοίρων.

Phonetic (Greek): kai eipen aytois· Ὑpagete. ohi de exelthontes apelthon eis ⸂toys choirous⸃· kai idoy hormesen pasa he ⸀agele kata toy kremnoy eis ten thalassan, kai apethanon en tois hydasin.
Edified Edition (EDE)And He said to them, [JESUS]"Go."[/JESUS] So when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine. And suddenly the whole herd of swine ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Ὑπάγετε. οἱ δὲ ἐξελθόντες ἀπῆλθον εἰς ⸂τοὺς χοίρους⸃· καὶ ἰδοὺ ὥρμησεν πᾶσα ἡ ⸀ἀγέλη κατὰ τοῦ κρημνοῦ εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν, καὶ ἀπέθανον ἐν τοῖς ὕδασιν.

Phonetic (Greek): ohi de boskontes ephygon, kai apelthontes eis ten polin apengeilan panta kai ta ton daimonizomenon.
Edified Edition (EDE)And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the demons.

οἱ δὲ βόσκοντες ἔφυγον, καὶ ἀπελθόντες εἰς τὴν πόλιν ἀπήγγειλαν πάντα καὶ τὰ τῶν δαιμονιζομένων.

Phonetic (Greek): kai idoy pasa he polis exelthen eis ⸀hypantesin tῷ Ἰesoy, kai idontes ayton parekalesan hopos metabῇ apo ton horion ayton.
Edified Edition (EDE)And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.

καὶ ἰδοὺ πᾶσα ἡ πόλις ἐξῆλθεν εἰς ⸀ὑπάντησιν τῷ Ἰησοῦ, καὶ ἰδόντες αὐτὸν παρεκάλεσαν ὅπως μεταβῇ ἀπὸ τῶν ὁρίων αὐτῶν.
