Chapter 11
1
Phonetic (Greek): Kai edothe moi kalamos homoios ῥabdῳ, legon· ⸀Ἔgeire kai metreson ton naon toy theoy kai to thysiasterion kai toys proskynoyntas en aytῷ.
Edified Edition (EDE)And there was given me a reed like to a rod: and the angel stood, saying, "Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship therein."

Καὶ ἐδόθη μοι κάλαμος ὅμοιος ῥάβδῳ, λέγων· ⸀Ἔγειρε καὶ μέτρησον τὸν ναὸν τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον καὶ τοὺς προσκυνοῦντας ἐν αὐτῷ.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ten aylen ten exothen toy naoy ekbale ⸀exothen, kai me ayten metresῃs, hoti edothe tois ethnesin, kai ten polin ten hagian patesousin menas ⸀tesserakonta dyo.
Edified Edition (EDE)But the court which is outside the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given to the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

καὶ τὴν αὐλὴν τὴν ἔξωθεν τοῦ ναοῦ ἔκβαλε ⸀ἔξωθεν, καὶ μὴ αὐτὴν μετρήσῃς, ὅτι ἐδόθη τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, καὶ τὴν πόλιν τὴν ἁγίαν πατήσουσιν μῆνας ⸀τεσσεράκοντα δύο.

Phonetic (Greek): kai doso tois dysin martysin mou, kai propheteysousin hemeras chilias diakosias hexekonta, ⸀peribeblemenoi sakkous.
Edified Edition (EDE)And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.

καὶ δώσω τοῖς δυσὶν μάρτυσίν μου, καὶ προφητεύσουσιν ἡμέρας χιλίας διακοσίας ἑξήκοντα, ⸀περιβεβλημένοι σάκκους.

Phonetic (Greek): Ohytoi eisin ahi dyo elaiai kai ahi dyo lychniai ahi enopion toy kyriou tes ges ⸀hestotes.
Edified Edition (EDE)These are the two olive trees, and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth.

Οὗτοί εἰσιν αἱ δύο ἐλαῖαι καὶ αἱ δύο λυχνίαι αἱ ἐνώπιον τοῦ κυρίου τῆς γῆς ⸀ἑστῶτες.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ei tis aytoys thelei adikesai, pyr ekporeyetai ek toy stomatos ayton kai katesthiei toys echthroys ayton· kai ei tis ⸂thelesῃ aytoys⸃ adikesai, ohytos dei ayton apoktanthenai.
Edified Edition (EDE)And if any person will hurt them, fire proceeds out of their mouth, and devours their enemies: and if any person will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

καὶ εἴ τις αὐτοὺς θέλει ἀδικῆσαι, πῦρ ἐκπορεύεται ἐκ τοῦ στόματος αὐτῶν καὶ κατεσθίει τοὺς ἐχθροὺς αὐτῶν· καὶ εἴ τις ⸂θελήσῃ αὐτοὺς⸃ ἀδικῆσαι, οὕτως δεῖ αὐτὸν ἀποκτανθῆναι.

Phonetic (Greek): ohytoi echousin ⸂ten exousian kleisai ton oyranon⸃, hina me hyetos brechῃ tas hemeras tes propheteias ayton, kai exousian echousin epi ton hydaton strephein ayta eis ahima kai pataxai ten gen ⸂en pasῃ plegῇ hosakis ean thelesosin⸃.
Edified Edition (EDE)These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

οὗτοι ἔχουσιν ⸂τὴν ἐξουσίαν κλεῖσαι τὸν οὐρανόν⸃, ἵνα μὴ ὑετὸς βρέχῃ τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς προφητείας αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐξουσίαν ἔχουσιν ἐπὶ τῶν ὑδάτων στρέφειν αὐτὰ εἰς αἷμα καὶ πατάξαι τὴν γῆν ⸂ἐν πάσῃ πληγῇ ὁσάκις ἐὰν θελήσωσιν⸃.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai hotan telesosin ten martyrian ayton, to therion to anabainon ek tes abyssou poiesei metʼ ayton polemon kai nikesei aytoys kai apoktenei aytoys.
Edified Edition (EDE)And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

Καὶ ὅταν τελέσωσιν τὴν μαρτυρίαν αὐτῶν, τὸ θηρίον τὸ ἀναβαῖνον ἐκ τῆς ἀβύσσου ποιήσει μετʼ αὐτῶν πόλεμον καὶ νικήσει αὐτοὺς καὶ ἀποκτενεῖ αὐτούς.

Phonetic (Greek): kai to ptoma ayton epi tes plateias tes poleos tes megales, hetis kaleitai pneumatikos Sodoma kai Aigyptos, hopou kai ho kyrios ayton estaurothe.
Edified Edition (EDE)And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

καὶ τὸ πτῶμα αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τῆς πλατείας τῆς πόλεως τῆς μεγάλης, ἥτις καλεῖται πνευματικῶς Σόδομα καὶ Αἴγυπτος, ὅπου καὶ ὁ κύριος αὐτῶν ἐσταυρώθη.

Phonetic (Greek): kai blepousin ek ton laon kai phylon kai glosson kai ethnon to ptoma ayton hemeras treis ⸀kai hemisy, kai ta ptomata ayton oyk ⸀aphiousin tethenai eis mnema.
Edified Edition (EDE)And those of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

καὶ βλέπουσιν ἐκ τῶν λαῶν καὶ φυλῶν καὶ γλωσσῶν καὶ ἐθνῶν τὸ πτῶμα αὐτῶν ἡμέρας τρεῖς ⸀καὶ ἥμισυ, καὶ τὰ πτώματα αὐτῶν οὐκ ⸀ἀφίουσιν τεθῆναι εἰς μνῆμα.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ohi katoikoyntes epi tes ges chairousin epʼ aytois kai ⸀eyphrainontai, kai dora ⸀pempsousin allelois, hoti ohytoi ohi dyo prophetai ebasanisan toys katoikoyntas epi tes ges.
Edified Edition (EDE)And those who dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented those who dwelt on the earth.

καὶ οἱ κατοικοῦντες ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς χαίρουσιν ἐπʼ αὐτοῖς καὶ ⸀εὐφραίνονται, καὶ δῶρα ⸀πέμψουσιν ἀλλήλοις, ὅτι οὗτοι οἱ δύο προφῆται ἐβασάνισαν τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai meta tas treis hemeras kai hemisy pneyma zoes ek toy theoy eiselthen ⸂en aytois⸃, kai estesan epi toys podas ayton, kai phobos megas ⸀epepesen epi toys theoroyntas aytoys·
Edified Edition (EDE)And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon those who saw them.

Καὶ μετὰ τὰς τρεῖς ἡμέρας καὶ ἥμισυ πνεῦμα ζωῆς ἐκ τοῦ θεοῦ εἰσῆλθεν ⸂ἐν αὐτοῖς⸃, καὶ ἔστησαν ἐπὶ τοὺς πόδας αὐτῶν, καὶ φόβος μέγας ⸀ἐπέπεσεν ἐπὶ τοὺς θεωροῦντας αὐτούς·

Phonetic (Greek): kai ⸀ekousan ⸂phones megales⸃ ek toy oyranoy ⸀legoyses aytois· ⸀Ἀnabate hode, kai anebesan eis ton oyranon en tῇ nephelῃ, kai etheoresan aytoys ohi echthroi ayton.
Edified Edition (EDE)And they heard a great voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

καὶ ⸀ἤκουσαν ⸂φωνῆς μεγάλης⸃ ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ⸀λεγούσης αὐτοῖς· ⸀Ἀνάβατε ὧδε, καὶ ἀνέβησαν εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν ἐν τῇ νεφέλῃ, καὶ ἐθεώρησαν αὐτοὺς οἱ ἐχθροὶ αὐτῶν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai en ekeinῃ tῇ ⸀horᾳ egeneto seismos megas, kai to dekaton tes poleos epesen, kai apektanthesan en tῷ seismῷ onomata anthropon chiliades hepta, kai ohi loipoi emphoboi egenonto kai edokan doxan tῷ theῷ toy oyranoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of people seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

καὶ ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ⸀ὥρᾳ ἐγένετο σεισμὸς μέγας, καὶ τὸ δέκατον τῆς πόλεως ἔπεσεν, καὶ ἀπεκτάνθησαν ἐν τῷ σεισμῷ ὀνόματα ἀνθρώπων χιλιάδες ἑπτά, καὶ οἱ λοιποὶ ἔμφοβοι ἐγένοντο καὶ ἔδωκαν δόξαν τῷ θεῷ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ.

Phonetic (Greek): Ἡ oyai he deutera apelthen· ⸂idoy he oyai he trite⸃ erchetai tachy.
Edified Edition (EDE)The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe comes quickly.

Ἡ οὐαὶ ἡ δευτέρα ἀπῆλθεν· ⸂ἰδοὺ ἡ οὐαὶ ἡ τρίτη⸃ ἔρχεται ταχύ.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai ho hebdomos angelos esalpisen· kai egenonto phonai megalai en tῷ oyranῷ ⸀legontes· Ἐgeneto he basileia toy kosmou toy kyriou hemon kai toy christoy aytoy, kai basileysei eis toys aionas ton aionon.
Edified Edition (EDE)And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign forever and ever."

Καὶ ὁ ἕβδομος ἄγγελος ἐσάλπισεν· καὶ ἐγένοντο φωναὶ μεγάλαι ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ ⸀λέγοντες· Ἐγένετο ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ κόσμου τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν καὶ τοῦ χριστοῦ αὐτοῦ, καὶ βασιλεύσει εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai ohi eikosi tessares presbyteroi ohi enopion toy ⸂theoy kathemenoi⸃ epi toys thronous ayton epesan epi ta prosopa ayton kai prosekynesan tῷ theῷ,
Edified Edition (EDE)And the four and twenty elders, who sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

Καὶ οἱ εἴκοσι τέσσαρες πρεσβύτεροι οἱ ἐνώπιον τοῦ ⸂θεοῦ καθήμενοι⸃ ἐπὶ τοὺς θρόνους αὐτῶν ἔπεσαν ἐπὶ τὰ πρόσωπα αὐτῶν καὶ προσεκύνησαν τῷ θεῷ,

Phonetic (Greek): legontes· Eycharistoymen soi, kyrie, ho theos, ho pantokrator, ho on kai ho en, hoti eilephas ten dynamin sou ten megalen kai ebasileusas.
Edified Edition (EDE)Saying, "We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, who are, and were, and are to come; because You have taken to You Your great power, and have reigned."

λέγοντες· Εὐχαριστοῦμέν σοι, κύριε, ὁ θεός, ὁ παντοκράτωρ, ὁ ὢν καὶ ὁ ἦν, ὅτι εἴληφας τὴν δύναμίν σου τὴν μεγάλην καὶ ἐβασίλευσας.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ta ethne orgisthesan, kai elthen he orge sou kai ho kairos ton nekron krithenai kai doynai ton misthon tois doylois sou tois prophetais kai tois hagiois kai tois phoboumenois to onoma sou, ⸂toys mikroys kai toys megalous⸃, kai diaphtheirai toys diaphtheirontas ten gen.
Edified Edition (EDE)And the nations were angry, and Your wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that You should give reward to Your servants the prophets, and to the saints, and those who fear Your name, small and great; and should destroy those who destroy the earth.

καὶ τὰ ἔθνη ὠργίσθησαν, καὶ ἦλθεν ἡ ὀργή σου καὶ ὁ καιρὸς τῶν νεκρῶν κριθῆναι καὶ δοῦναι τὸν μισθὸν τοῖς δούλοις σου τοῖς προφήταις καὶ τοῖς ἁγίοις καὶ τοῖς φοβουμένοις τὸ ὄνομά σου, ⸂τοὺς μικροὺς καὶ τοὺς μεγάλους⸃, καὶ διαφθεῖραι τοὺς διαφθείροντας τὴν γῆν.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai enoige ho naos toy theoy ⸀ho en tῷ oyranῷ, kai ophthe he kibotos tes diathekes ⸀aytoy en tῷ naῷ aytoy· kai egenonto astrapai kai phonai kai brontai ⸂kai seismos⸃ kai chalaza megale.
Edified Edition (EDE)And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in His temple the ark of His testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Καὶ ἠνοίγη ὁ ναὸς τοῦ θεοῦ ⸀ὁ ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ, καὶ ὤφθη ἡ κιβωτὸς τῆς διαθήκης ⸀αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ ναῷ αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἐγένοντο ἀστραπαὶ καὶ φωναὶ καὶ βρονταὶ ⸂καὶ σεισμὸς⸃ καὶ χάλαζα μεγάλη.
