Chapter 16
1
Phonetic (Greek): Kai ekousa ⸂megales phones⸃ ek toy naoy legoyses tois hepta angelois· Ὑpagete kai ⸀ekcheete tas hepta phialas toy thymoy toy theoy eis ten gen.
Edified Edition (EDE)And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth."

Καὶ ἤκουσα ⸂μεγάλης φωνῆς⸃ ἐκ τοῦ ναοῦ λεγούσης τοῖς ἑπτὰ ἀγγέλοις· Ὑπάγετε καὶ ⸀ἐκχέετε τὰς ἑπτὰ φιάλας τοῦ θυμοῦ τοῦ θεοῦ εἰς τὴν γῆν.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai apelthen ho protos kai execheen ten phialen aytoy eis ten gen· kai egeneto helkos kakon kai poneron epi toys anthropous toys echontas to charagma toy theriou kai toys proskynoyntas tῇ eikoni aytoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the people who had the mark of the beast, and upon those who worshipped his image.

Καὶ ἀπῆλθεν ὁ πρῶτος καὶ ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν γῆν· καὶ ἐγένετο ἕλκος κακὸν καὶ πονηρὸν ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀνθρώπους τοὺς ἔχοντας τὸ χάραγμα τοῦ θηρίου καὶ τοὺς προσκυνοῦντας τῇ εἰκόνι αὐτοῦ.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai ho ⸀deyteros execheen ten phialen aytoy eis ten thalassan· kai egeneto ahima hos nekroy, kai pasa psyche ⸀zoes apethanen ⸀ta en tῇ thalassῃ.
Edified Edition (EDE)And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead person: and every living soul died in the sea.

Καὶ ὁ ⸀δεύτερος ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν· καὶ ἐγένετο αἷμα ὡς νεκροῦ, καὶ πᾶσα ψυχὴ ⸀ζωῆς ἀπέθανεν ⸀τὰ ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai ho tritos execheen ten phialen aytoy eis toys potamoys ⸀kai tas pegas ton hydaton· kai egeneto ahima.
Edified Edition (EDE)And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.

Καὶ ὁ τρίτος ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ εἰς τοὺς ποταμοὺς ⸀καὶ τὰς πηγὰς τῶν ὑδάτων· καὶ ἐγένετο αἷμα.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ekousa toy angelou ton hydaton legontos· Dikaios ei, ho on kai ho en, ⸀ho hosios, hoti tayta ekrinas,
Edified Edition (EDE)And I heard the angel of the waters say, "You are righteous, O Lord, who are, and was, and shall be, because You have judged thus."

καὶ ἤκουσα τοῦ ἀγγέλου τῶν ὑδάτων λέγοντος· Δίκαιος εἶ, ὁ ὢν καὶ ὁ ἦν, ⸀ὁ ὅσιος, ὅτι ταῦτα ἔκρινας,

Phonetic (Greek): hoti ahima hagion kai propheton exechean, kai ahima aytois ⸀dedokas piein· axioi eisin.
Edified Edition (EDE)For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

ὅτι αἷμα ἁγίων καὶ προφητῶν ἐξέχεαν, καὶ αἷμα αὐτοῖς ⸀δέδωκας πιεῖν· ἄξιοί εἰσιν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ekousa toy thysiasteriou legontos· Nai, kyrie, ho theos, ho pantokrator, alethinai kai dikaiai ahi kriseis sou.
Edified Edition (EDE)And I heard another out of the altar say, "Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgements."

καὶ ἤκουσα τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου λέγοντος· Ναί, κύριε, ὁ θεός, ὁ παντοκράτωρ, ἀληθιναὶ καὶ δίκαιαι αἱ κρίσεις σου.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai ho ⸀tetartos execheen ten phialen aytoy epi ton helion· kai edothe aytῷ kaumatisai ⸂toys anthropous en pyri⸃.
Edified Edition (EDE)And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given to him to scorch people with fire.

Καὶ ὁ ⸀τέταρτος ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν ἥλιον· καὶ ἐδόθη αὐτῷ καυματίσαι ⸂τοὺς ἀνθρώπους ἐν πυρί⸃.

Phonetic (Greek): kai ekaumatisthesan ohi anthropoi kayma mega· kai ⸀eblasphemesan to onoma toy theoy toy echontos ⸀ten exousian epi tas plegas taytas, kai oy metenoesan doynai aytῷ doxan.
Edified Edition (EDE)And people were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, who has power over these plagues: and they repented not to give Him glory.

καὶ ἐκαυματίσθησαν οἱ ἄνθρωποι καῦμα μέγα· καὶ ⸀ἐβλασφήμησαν τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ ἔχοντος ⸀τὴν ἐξουσίαν ἐπὶ τὰς πληγὰς ταύτας, καὶ οὐ μετενόησαν δοῦναι αὐτῷ δόξαν.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai ho pemptos execheen ten phialen aytoy epi ton thronon toy theriou· kai egeneto he basileia aytoy eskotomene, kai emasonto tas glossas ayton ek toy ponou,
Edified Edition (EDE)And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

Καὶ ὁ πέμπτος ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν θρόνον τοῦ θηρίου· καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ βασιλεία αὐτοῦ ἐσκοτωμένη, καὶ ἐμασῶντο τὰς γλώσσας αὐτῶν ἐκ τοῦ πόνου,

Phonetic (Greek): kai eblasphemesan ton theon toy oyranoy ek ton ponon ayton kai ek ton helkon ayton, kai oy metenoesan ek ton ergon ayton.
Edified Edition (EDE)And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

καὶ ἐβλασφήμησαν τὸν θεὸν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἐκ τῶν πόνων αὐτῶν καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἑλκῶν αὐτῶν, καὶ οὐ μετενόησαν ἐκ τῶν ἔργων αὐτῶν.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai ho hektos execheen ten phialen aytoy epi ton potamon ton megan ⸀ton Eyphraten· kai exeranthe to hydor aytoy, hina hetoimasthῇ he hodos ton basileon ton apo anatoles heliou.
Edified Edition (EDE)And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

Καὶ ὁ ἕκτος ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν ποταμὸν τὸν μέγαν ⸀τὸν Εὐφράτην· καὶ ἐξηράνθη τὸ ὕδωρ αὐτοῦ, ἵνα ἑτοιμασθῇ ἡ ὁδὸς τῶν βασιλέων τῶν ἀπὸ ἀνατολῆς ἡλίου.

Phonetic (Greek): kai eidon ek toy stomatos toy drakontos kai ek toy stomatos toy theriou kai ek toy stomatos toy pseudoprophetou pneymata ⸂tria akatharta⸃ hos batrachoi·
Edified Edition (EDE)And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

καὶ εἶδον ἐκ τοῦ στόματος τοῦ δράκοντος καὶ ἐκ τοῦ στόματος τοῦ θηρίου καὶ ἐκ τοῦ στόματος τοῦ ψευδοπροφήτου πνεύματα ⸂τρία ἀκάθαρτα⸃ ὡς βάτραχοι·

Phonetic (Greek): eisin gar pneymata daimonion poioynta semeia, ha ekporeyetai epi toys basileis tes oikoumenes holes, synagagein aytoys eis ton polemon tes ⸀hemeras tes megales toy theoy toy pantokratoros—
Edified Edition (EDE)For they are the spirits of demons, working miracles, which go forth to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

εἰσὶν γὰρ πνεύματα δαιμονίων ποιοῦντα σημεῖα, ἃ ἐκπορεύεται ἐπὶ τοὺς βασιλεῖς τῆς οἰκουμένης ὅλης, συναγαγεῖν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸν πόλεμον τῆς ⸀ἡμέρας τῆς μεγάλης τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ παντοκράτορος—

Phonetic (Greek): Ἰdoy erchomai hos kleptes. makarios ho gregoron kai teron ta himatia aytoy, hina me gymnos peripatῇ kai bleposin ten aschemosynen aytoy—
Edified Edition (EDE)"Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame."

Ἰδοὺ ἔρχομαι ὡς κλέπτης. μακάριος ὁ γρηγορῶν καὶ τηρῶν τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ, ἵνα μὴ γυμνὸς περιπατῇ καὶ βλέπωσιν τὴν ἀσχημοσύνην αὐτοῦ—

Phonetic (Greek): kai synegagen aytoys eis ton topon ton kaloymenon Ἑbraisti Ἁrmagedon.
Edified Edition (EDE)And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

καὶ συνήγαγεν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸν τόπον τὸν καλούμενον Ἑβραϊστὶ Ἁρμαγεδών.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai ho hebdomos execheen ten phialen aytoy epi ton aera— kai exelthen phone megale ⸀ek toy ⸀naoy apo toy thronou legousa· Gegonen—
Edified Edition (EDE)And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, "It is done."

Καὶ ὁ ἕβδομος ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν ἀέρα— καὶ ἐξῆλθεν φωνὴ μεγάλη ⸀ἐκ τοῦ ⸀ναοῦ ἀπὸ τοῦ θρόνου λέγουσα· Γέγονεν—

Phonetic (Greek): kai egenonto astrapai kai ⸂phonai kai brontai⸃, kai seismos ⸀egeneto megas, ohios oyk egeneto aphʼ ohy ⸂anthropoi egenonto⸃ epi tes ges telikoytos seismos ohyto megas,
Edified Edition (EDE)And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since people were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

καὶ ἐγένοντο ἀστραπαὶ καὶ ⸂φωναὶ καὶ βρονταί⸃, καὶ σεισμὸς ⸀ἐγένετο μέγας, οἷος οὐκ ἐγένετο ἀφʼ οὗ ⸂ἄνθρωποι ἐγένοντο⸃ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς τηλικοῦτος σεισμὸς οὕτω μέγας,

Phonetic (Greek): kai egeneto he polis he megale eis tria mere, kai ahi poleis ton ethnon epesan· kai Babylon he megale emnesthe enopion toy theoy doynai aytῇ to poterion toy oinou toy thymoy tes orges aytoy·
Edified Edition (EDE)And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ πόλις ἡ μεγάλη εἰς τρία μέρη, καὶ αἱ πόλεις τῶν ἐθνῶν ἔπεσαν· καὶ Βαβυλὼν ἡ μεγάλη ἐμνήσθη ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ δοῦναι αὐτῇ τὸ ποτήριον τοῦ οἴνου τοῦ θυμοῦ τῆς ὀργῆς αὐτοῦ·

Phonetic (Greek): kai pasa nesos ephygen, kai ore oych ehyrethesan.
Edified Edition (EDE)And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

καὶ πᾶσα νῆσος ἔφυγεν, καὶ ὄρη οὐχ εὑρέθησαν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai chalaza megale hos talantiaia katabainei ek toy oyranoy epi toys anthropous· kai eblasphemesan ohi anthropoi ton theon ek tes pleges tes chalazes, hoti megale estin he plege aytes sphodra.
Edified Edition (EDE)And there fell upon people a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and people blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

καὶ χάλαζα μεγάλη ὡς ταλαντιαία καταβαίνει ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀνθρώπους· καὶ ἐβλασφήμησαν οἱ ἄνθρωποι τὸν θεὸν ἐκ τῆς πληγῆς τῆς χαλάζης, ὅτι μεγάλη ἐστὶν ἡ πληγὴ αὐτῆς σφόδρα.
