Chapter 22
1
Phonetic (Greek): Kai edeixen moi ⸀potamon hydatos zoes lampron hos krystallon, ekporeuomenon ek toy thronou toy theoy kai toy arniou
Edified Edition (EDE)And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Καὶ ἔδειξέν μοι ⸀ποταμὸν ὕδατος ζωῆς λαμπρὸν ὡς κρύσταλλον, ἐκπορευόμενον ἐκ τοῦ θρόνου τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τοῦ ἀρνίου

Phonetic (Greek): en mesῳ tes plateias aytes· kai toy potamoy enteythen kai ekeithen xylon zoes poioyn karpoys dodeka, kata mena hekaston ⸀apodidoyn ton karpon aytoy, kai ta phylla toy xylou eis therapeian ton ethnon.
Edified Edition (EDE)In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bore twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

ἐν μέσῳ τῆς πλατείας αὐτῆς· καὶ τοῦ ποταμοῦ ἐντεῦθεν καὶ ἐκεῖθεν ξύλον ζωῆς ποιοῦν καρποὺς δώδεκα, κατὰ μῆνα ἕκαστον ⸀ἀποδιδοῦν τὸν καρπὸν αὐτοῦ, καὶ τὰ φύλλα τοῦ ξύλου εἰς θεραπείαν τῶν ἐθνῶν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai pan katathema oyk estai eti. kai ho thronos toy theoy kai toy arniou en aytῇ estai, kai ohi doyloi aytoy latreysousin aytῷ,
Edified Edition (EDE)And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him:

καὶ πᾶν κατάθεμα οὐκ ἔσται ἔτι. καὶ ὁ θρόνος τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τοῦ ἀρνίου ἐν αὐτῇ ἔσται, καὶ οἱ δοῦλοι αὐτοῦ λατρεύσουσιν αὐτῷ,

Phonetic (Greek): kai opsontai to prosopon aytoy, kai to onoma aytoy epi ton metopon ayton.
Edified Edition (EDE)And they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads.

καὶ ὄψονται τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ, καὶ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τῶν μετώπων αὐτῶν.

Phonetic (Greek): kai nyx oyk estai ⸀eti, kai ⸂oyk echousin chreian⸃ ⸀photos lychnou kai ⸀phos heliou, hoti kyrios ho theos photisei ⸀epʼ aytoys, kai basileysousin eis toys aionas ton aionon.
Edified Edition (EDE)And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God gives them light: and they shall reign forever and ever.

καὶ νὺξ οὐκ ἔσται ⸀ἔτι, καὶ ⸂οὐκ ἔχουσιν χρείαν⸃ ⸀φωτὸς λύχνου καὶ ⸀φῶς ἡλίου, ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεὸς φωτίσει ⸀ἐπʼ αὐτούς, καὶ βασιλεύσουσιν εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai ⸀eipen moi· Ohytoi ohi logoi pistoi kai alethinoi, kai ⸀ho kyrios, ho theos ton pneumaton ton propheton, apesteilen ton angelon aytoy deixai tois doylois aytoy ha dei genesthai en tachei·
Edified Edition (EDE)And he said to me, "These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show to His servants the things which must shortly be done."

Καὶ ⸀εἶπέν μοι· Οὗτοι οἱ λόγοι πιστοὶ καὶ ἀληθινοί, καὶ ⸀ὁ κύριος, ὁ θεὸς τῶν πνευμάτων τῶν προφητῶν, ἀπέστειλεν τὸν ἄγγελον αὐτοῦ δεῖξαι τοῖς δούλοις αὐτοῦ ἃ δεῖ γενέσθαι ἐν τάχει·

Phonetic (Greek): kai idoy erchomai tachy· makarios ho teron toys logous tes propheteias toy bibliou toytou.
Edified Edition (EDE)"Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he who keeps the sayings of the prophecy of this book."

καὶ ἰδοὺ ἔρχομαι ταχύ· μακάριος ὁ τηρῶν τοὺς λόγους τῆς προφητείας τοῦ βιβλίου τούτου.

Phonetic (Greek): Kago Ἰoannes ho akoyon kai blepon tayta. kai hote ekousa kai eblepsa, epesa proskynesai emprosthen ton podon toy angelou toy deiknyontos moi tayta.
Edified Edition (EDE)And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.

Κἀγὼ Ἰωάννης ὁ ἀκούων καὶ βλέπων ταῦτα. καὶ ὅτε ἤκουσα καὶ ἔβλεψα, ἔπεσα προσκυνῆσαι ἔμπροσθεν τῶν ποδῶν τοῦ ἀγγέλου τοῦ δεικνύοντός μοι ταῦτα.

Phonetic (Greek): kai legei moi· Ὅra me· syndoulos soy eimi kai ton adelphon sou ton propheton kai ton teroynton toys logous toy bibliou toytou· tῷ theῷ proskyneson.
Edified Edition (EDE)Then he says to me, "See you do it not: for I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers the prophets, and of those who keep the sayings of this book: worship God."

καὶ λέγει μοι· Ὅρα μή· σύνδουλός σού εἰμι καὶ τῶν ἀδελφῶν σου τῶν προφητῶν καὶ τῶν τηρούντων τοὺς λόγους τοῦ βιβλίου τούτου· τῷ θεῷ προσκύνησον.

Phonetic (Greek): Kai legei moi· Me sphragisῃs toys logous tes propheteias toy bibliou toytou, ho kairos gar engys estin.
Edified Edition (EDE)And he says to me, "Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand."

Καὶ λέγει μοι· Μὴ σφραγίσῃς τοὺς λόγους τῆς προφητείας τοῦ βιβλίου τούτου, ὁ καιρὸς γὰρ ἐγγύς ἐστιν.

Phonetic (Greek): ho adikon adikesato eti, kai ho ῥyparos ⸀ῥypareutheto eti, kai ho dikaios dikaiosynen poiesato eti, kai ho hagios hagiastheto eti.
Edified Edition (EDE)"He who is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he who is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he who is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he who is holy, let him be holy still."

ὁ ἀδικῶν ἀδικησάτω ἔτι, καὶ ὁ ῥυπαρὸς ⸀ῥυπαρευθήτω ἔτι, καὶ ὁ δίκαιος δικαιοσύνην ποιησάτω ἔτι, καὶ ὁ ἅγιος ἁγιασθήτω ἔτι.

Phonetic (Greek): Ἰdoy erchomai tachy, kai ho misthos mou metʼ emoy, apodoynai hekastῳ hos to ergon ⸀estin aytoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)"And, behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every person according as his work shall be."

Ἰδοὺ ἔρχομαι ταχύ, καὶ ὁ μισθός μου μετʼ ἐμοῦ, ἀποδοῦναι ἑκάστῳ ὡς τὸ ἔργον ⸀ἐστὶν αὐτοῦ.

Phonetic (Greek): ego to Ἄlpha kai to Ὦ, ho protos kai ho eschatos, ⸀he arche kai ⸀to telos.
Edified Edition (EDE)"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last."

ἐγὼ τὸ Ἄλφα καὶ τὸ Ὦ, ὁ πρῶτος καὶ ὁ ἔσχατος, ⸀ἡ ἀρχὴ καὶ ⸀τὸ τέλος.

Phonetic (Greek): Makarioi ohi ⸂plynontes tas stolas ayton⸃, hina estai he exousia ayton epi to xylon tes zoes kai tois pylosin eiselthosin eis ten polin.
Edified Edition (EDE)"Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."

Μακάριοι οἱ ⸂πλύνοντες τὰς στολὰς αὐτῶν⸃, ἵνα ἔσται ἡ ἐξουσία αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὸ ξύλον τῆς ζωῆς καὶ τοῖς πυλῶσιν εἰσέλθωσιν εἰς τὴν πόλιν.

Phonetic (Greek): exo ohi kynes kai ohi pharmakoi kai ohi pornoi kai ohi phoneis kai ohi eidololatrai kai pas philon kai poion pseydos.
Edified Edition (EDE)"For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whoever loves and makes a lie."

ἔξω οἱ κύνες καὶ οἱ φάρμακοι καὶ οἱ πόρνοι καὶ οἱ φονεῖς καὶ οἱ εἰδωλολάτραι καὶ πᾶς φιλῶν καὶ ποιῶν ψεῦδος.

Phonetic (Greek): Ἐgo Ἰesoys epempsa ton angelon mou martyresai hymin tayta epi tais ekklesiais. ego eimi he ῥiza kai to genos Dauid, ho aster ho lampros, ho proinos.
Edified Edition (EDE)"I Jesus have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star."

Ἐγὼ Ἰησοῦς ἔπεμψα τὸν ἄγγελόν μου μαρτυρῆσαι ὑμῖν ταῦτα ἐπὶ ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις. ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ ῥίζα καὶ τὸ γένος Δαυίδ, ὁ ἀστὴρ ὁ λαμπρός, ὁ πρωϊνός.

Phonetic (Greek): kai to pneyma kai he nymphe legousin· Ἔrchou· kai ho akoyon eipato· Ἔrchou· kai ho dipson erchestho, ho thelon labeto hydor zoes dorean.
Edified Edition (EDE)"And the Spirit and the bride say, 'Come.' And let him who hears say, 'Come.' And let him who is thirsty come. And whoever will, let him take the water of life freely."

καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα καὶ ἡ νύμφη λέγουσιν· Ἔρχου· καὶ ὁ ἀκούων εἰπάτω· Ἔρχου· καὶ ὁ διψῶν ἐρχέσθω, ὁ θέλων λαβέτω ὕδωρ ζωῆς δωρεάν.

Phonetic (Greek): Martyro ego panti tῷ akoyonti toys logous tes propheteias toy bibliou toytou· ean tis epithῇ epʼ ayta, ⸀epithesei ho theos epʼ ayton tas plegas tas gegrammenas en tῷ bibliῳ toytῳ·
Edified Edition (EDE)"For I testify to every person who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any person shall add to these things, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book:"

Μαρτυρῶ ἐγὼ παντὶ τῷ ἀκούοντι τοὺς λόγους τῆς προφητείας τοῦ βιβλίου τούτου· ἐάν τις ἐπιθῇ ἐπʼ αὐτά, ⸀ἐπιθήσει ὁ θεὸς ἐπʼ αὐτὸν τὰς πληγὰς τὰς γεγραμμένας ἐν τῷ βιβλίῳ τούτῳ·

Phonetic (Greek): kai ean tis aphelῃ apo ton logon toy bibliou tes propheteias taytes, ⸀aphelei ho theos to meros aytoy apo toy xylou tes zoes kai ek tes poleos tes hagias, ton gegrammenon en tῷ bibliῳ toytῳ.
Edified Edition (EDE)"And if any person shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

καὶ ἐάν τις ἀφέλῃ ἀπὸ τῶν λόγων τοῦ βιβλίου τῆς προφητείας ταύτης, ⸀ἀφελεῖ ὁ θεὸς τὸ μέρος αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τοῦ ξύλου τῆς ζωῆς καὶ ἐκ τῆς πόλεως τῆς ἁγίας, τῶν γεγραμμένων ἐν τῷ βιβλίῳ τούτῳ.

Phonetic (Greek): Legei ho martyron tayta· Nai· erchomai tachy. Ἀmen· ⸀erchou, kyrie Ἰesoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)He who testifies these things says, "Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

Λέγει ὁ μαρτυρῶν ταῦτα· Ναί· ἔρχομαι ταχύ. Ἀμήν· ⸀ἔρχου, κύριε Ἰησοῦ.

Phonetic (Greek): Ἡ charis toy kyriou ⸀Ἰesoy meta ⸀panton.
Edified Edition (EDE)The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου ⸀Ἰησοῦ μετὰ ⸀πάντων.
