Chapter 15
1
Phonetic (Greek): Ὀpheilomen de hemeis ohi dynatoi ta asthenemata ton adynaton bastazein, kai me heautois areskein.
Edified Edition (EDE)We then who are strong ought to bear with the scruples of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

2
Phonetic (Greek): hekastos hemon tῷ plesion aresketo eis to agathon pros oikodomen·
Edified Edition (EDE)Let each of us please his neighbour for his good, leading to edification.

3
Phonetic (Greek): kai gar ho Christos oych heautῷ eresen· alla kathos gegraptai· Ohi oneidismoi ton oneidizonton se epepesan epʼ eme.
Edified Edition (EDE)For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, "The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on Me."

4
Phonetic (Greek): hosa gar proegraphe, ⸀eis ten hemeteran didaskalian ⸀egraphe, hina dia tes hypomones kai dia tes parakleseos ton graphon ten elpida echomen.
Edified Edition (EDE)For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

5
Phonetic (Greek): ho de theos tes hypomones kai tes parakleseos dῴe hymin to ayto phronein en allelois kata ⸂Christon Ἰesoyn⸃,
Edified Edition (EDE)Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,

6
Phonetic (Greek): hina homothymadon en heni stomati doxazete ton theon kai patera toy kyriou hemon Ἰesoy Christoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

7
Phonetic (Greek): Dio proslambanesthe allelous, kathos kai ho Christos proselabeto ⸀hymas, eis doxan ⸀toy theoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.

8
Phonetic (Greek): lego ⸀gar ⸀Christon diakonon ⸀gegenesthai peritomes hyper aletheias theoy, eis to bebaiosai tas epangelias ton pateron,
Edified Edition (EDE)Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers,

9
Phonetic (Greek): ta de ethne hyper eleous doxasai ton theon· kathos gegraptai· Dia toyto exomologesomai soi en ethnesi, kai tῷ onomati sou psalo.
Edified Edition (EDE)and that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy, as it is written: "For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles, And sing to Your name."

10
Phonetic (Greek): kai palin legei· Eyphranthete, ethne, meta toy laoy aytoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)And again he says: "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people!"

11
Phonetic (Greek): kai palin· Aineite, ⸂panta ta ethne, ton kyrion⸃, kai ⸀epainesatosan ayton pantes ohi laoi.
Edified Edition (EDE)And again: "Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples!"

12
Phonetic (Greek): kai palin Ἠsaias legei· Ἔstai he ῥiza toy Ἰessai, kai ho anistamenos archein ethnon· epʼ aytῷ ethne elpioysin.
Edified Edition (EDE)And again, Isaiah says: "There shall be a root of Jesse; And He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles, In Him the Gentiles shall hope."

13
Phonetic (Greek): ho de theos tes elpidos plerosai hymas pases charas kai eirenes en tῷ pisteyein, eis to perisseyein hymas en tῇ elpidi en dynamei pneymatos hagiou.
Edified Edition (EDE)Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

14
Phonetic (Greek): Pepeismai de, adelphoi mou, kai aytos ego peri hymon, hoti kai aytoi mestoi este agathosynes, pepleromenoi ⸀pases gnoseos, dynamenoi kai ⸀allelous nouthetein.
Edified Edition (EDE)Now I myself am confident concerning you, my brothers, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

15
Phonetic (Greek): ⸀tolmeroteron de egrapsa ⸀hymin apo merous, hos epanamimnῄskon hymas, dia ten charin ten dotheisan moi ⸀hypo toy theoy
Edified Edition (EDE)Nevertheless, brothers, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as reminding you, because of the grace given to me by God,

16
Phonetic (Greek): eis to einai me leitourgon ⸂Christoy Ἰesoy⸃ eis ta ethne, hierourgoynta to eyangelion toy theoy, hina genetai he prosphora ton ethnon eyprosdektos, hegiasmene en pneymati hagiῳ.
Edified Edition (EDE)that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

17
Phonetic (Greek): echo oyn ⸀ten kaychesin en Christῷ Ἰesoy ta pros ton theon·
Edified Edition (EDE)Therefore I have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in those things which pertain to God.

18
Phonetic (Greek): oy gar tolmeso ⸂ti lalein⸃ hon oy kateirgasato Christos diʼ emoy eis hypakoen ethnon, logῳ kai ergῳ,
Edified Edition (EDE)For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient,

19
Phonetic (Greek): en dynamei semeion kai teraton, en dynamei ⸀pneymatos· hoste me apo Ἰerousalem kai kyklῳ mechri toy Ἰllyrikoy peplerokenai to eyangelion toy Christoy,
Edified Edition (EDE)in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

20
Phonetic (Greek): ohytos de ⸀philotimoymenon eyangelizesthai oych hopou onomasthe Christos, hina me epʼ allotrion themelion oikodomo,
Edified Edition (EDE)And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation,

21
Phonetic (Greek): alla kathos gegraptai· ⸂Ohis oyk anengele peri aytoy opsontai⸃, kai ohi oyk akekoasin synesousin.
Edified Edition (EDE)but as it is written: "To whom He was not announced, they shall see; And those who have not heard shall understand."

22
Phonetic (Greek): Dio kai enekoptomen ta polla toy elthein pros hymas·
Edified Edition (EDE)For this reason I have been much hindered from coming to you.

23
Phonetic (Greek): nyni de meketi topon echon en tois klimasi toytois, epipothian de echon toy elthein pros hymas apo ⸀hikanon eton,
Edified Edition (EDE)But now no longer having a place in these regions, and having a great desire these many years to come to you,

24
Phonetic (Greek): hos ⸀an poreyomai eis ten ⸀Spanian, elpizo gar diaporeuomenos theasasthai hymas kai hyphʼ hymon propemphthenai ekei ean hymon proton apo merous emplestho—
Edified Edition (EDE)whenever I journey to Spain, I shall come to you. For I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may enjoy your company for a while.

25
Phonetic (Greek): nyni de poreyomai eis Ἰerousalem diakonon tois hagiois.
Edified Edition (EDE)But now I am going to Jerusalem to minister to the saints.

26
Phonetic (Greek): eydokesan gar Makedonia kai Ἀchaia koinonian tina poiesasthai eis toys ptochoys ton hagion ton en Ἰerousalem.
Edified Edition (EDE)For it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem.

27
Phonetic (Greek): eydokesan gar, kai opheiletai ⸂eisin ayton⸃· ei gar tois pneumatikois ayton ekoinonesan ta ethne, opheilousin kai en tois sarkikois leitourgesai aytois.
Edified Edition (EDE)It pleased them indeed, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in material things.

28
Phonetic (Greek): toyto oyn epitelesas, kai sphragisamenos aytois ton karpon toyton, apeleysomai diʼ hymon ⸀eis Spanian·
Edified Edition (EDE)Therefore, when I have performed this and have sealed to them this fruit, I shall go by way of you to Spain.

Edified Edition (EDE)But I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

30
Phonetic (Greek): Parakalo de hymas, adelphoi, dia toy kyriou hemon Ἰesoy Christoy kai dia tes agapes toy pneymatos synagonisasthai moi en tais proseuchais hyper emoy pros ton theon,
Edified Edition (EDE)Now I beg you, brothers, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me,

31
Phonetic (Greek): hina ῥystho apo ton apeithoynton en tῇ Ἰoudaiᾳ ⸀kai he diakonia mou he eis Ἰerousalem eyprosdektos ⸂tois hagiois genetai⸃,
Edified Edition (EDE)that I may be delivered from those in Judea who do not believe, and that my ministry for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,

32
Phonetic (Greek): hina en charᾷ ⸀elthon pros hymas dia thelematos ⸀theoy synanapaysomai hymin.
Edified Edition (EDE)that I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you.

33
Phonetic (Greek): ho de theos tes eirenes meta panton hymon· amen.
Edified Edition (EDE)Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
