Edified Edition (EDE)I commend to you Phoebe our sister, who is a servant of the church in Cenchrea,

Συνίστημι δὲ ὑμῖν Φοίβην τὴν ἀδελφὴν ἡμῶν, οὖσαν ⸀καὶ διάκονον τῆς ἐκκλησίας τῆς ἐν Κεγχρεαῖς,

Phonetic (Greek): hina ⸂ayten prosdexesthe⸃ en kyriῳ axios ton hagion, kai parastete aytῇ en ho an hymon chrῄzῃ pragmati, kai gar ayte prostatis pollon egenethe kai ⸂emoy aytoy⸃.
Edified Edition (EDE)that you may receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints, and assist her in whatever business she has need of you; for indeed she has been a helper of many and of myself also.

ἵνα ⸂αὐτὴν προσδέξησθε⸃ ἐν κυρίῳ ἀξίως τῶν ἁγίων, καὶ παραστῆτε αὐτῇ ἐν ᾧ ἂν ὑμῶν χρῄζῃ πράγματι, καὶ γὰρ αὐτὴ προστάτις πολλῶν ἐγενήθη καὶ ⸂ἐμοῦ αὐτοῦ⸃.

Edified Edition (EDE)Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus,

Ἀσπάσασθε Πρίσκαν καὶ Ἀκύλαν τοὺς συνεργούς μου ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ,

Phonetic (Greek): ohitines hyper tes psyches mou ton heauton trachelon hypethekan, ohis oyk ego monos eycharisto alla kai pasai ahi ekklesiai ton ethnon,
Edified Edition (EDE)who risked their own necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.

οἵτινες ὑπὲρ τῆς ψυχῆς μου τὸν ἑαυτῶν τράχηλον ὑπέθηκαν, οἷς οὐκ ἐγὼ μόνος εὐχαριστῶ ἀλλὰ καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ ἐκκλησίαι τῶν ἐθνῶν,

Edified Edition (EDE)Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia to Christ.

καὶ τὴν κατʼ οἶκον αὐτῶν ἐκκλησίαν. ἀσπάσασθε Ἐπαίνετον τὸν ἀγαπητόν μου, ὅς ἐστιν ἀπαρχὴ τῆς ⸀Ἀσίας εἰς Χριστόν.

Edified Edition (EDE)Greet Mary, who laboured much for us.

ἀσπάσασθε ⸀Μαριάμ, ἥτις πολλὰ ἐκοπίασεν εἰς ⸀ὑμᾶς.

Phonetic (Greek): aspasasthe Ἀndronikon kai ⸀Ἰounian toys syngeneis mou kai synaichmalotous mou, ohitines eisin episemoi en tois apostolois, ohi kai pro emoy ⸀gegonan en Christῷ.
Edified Edition (EDE)Greet Andronicus and Junia, my countrymen and my fellow prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

ἀσπάσασθε Ἀνδρόνικον καὶ ⸀Ἰουνίαν τοὺς συγγενεῖς μου καὶ συναιχμαλώτους μου, οἵτινές εἰσιν ἐπίσημοι ἐν τοῖς ἀποστόλοις, οἳ καὶ πρὸ ἐμοῦ ⸀γέγοναν ἐν Χριστῷ.

ἀσπάσασθε Οὐρβανὸν τὸν συνεργὸν ἡμῶν ἐν Χριστῷ καὶ Στάχυν τὸν ἀγαπητόν μου.

ἀσπάσασθε Ἀπελλῆν τὸν δόκιμον ἐν Χριστῷ. ἀσπάσασθε τοὺς ἐκ τῶν Ἀριστοβούλου.

Edified Edition (EDE)Greet Herodion, my countryman. Greet those who are of the household of Narcissus who are in the Lord.

ἀσπάσασθε Ἡρῳδίωνα τὸν ⸀συγγενῆ μου. ἀσπάσασθε τοὺς ἐκ τῶν Ναρκίσσου τοὺς ὄντας ἐν κυρίῳ.

Phonetic (Greek): aspasasthe Tryphainan kai Tryphosan tas kopiosas en kyriῳ. aspasasthe Persida ten agapeten, hetis polla ekopiasen en kyriῳ.
Edified Edition (EDE)Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa, who have laboured in the Lord. Greet the beloved Persis, who laboured much in the Lord.

ἀσπάσασθε Τρύφαιναν καὶ Τρυφῶσαν τὰς κοπιώσας ἐν κυρίῳ. ἀσπάσασθε Περσίδα τὴν ἀγαπητήν, ἥτις πολλὰ ἐκοπίασεν ἐν κυρίῳ.

Edified Edition (EDE)Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.

ἀσπάσασθε Ῥοῦφον τὸν ἐκλεκτὸν ἐν κυρίῳ καὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐμοῦ.

Edified Edition (EDE)Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brothers who are with them.

ἀσπάσασθε Ἀσύγκριτον, Φλέγοντα, ⸂Ἑρμῆν, Πατροβᾶν, Ἑρμᾶν⸃ καὶ τοὺς σὺν αὐτοῖς ἀδελφούς.

Edified Edition (EDE)Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them.

ἀσπάσασθε Φιλόλογον καὶ Ἰουλίαν, Νηρέα καὶ τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτοῦ, καὶ Ὀλυμπᾶν καὶ τοὺς σὺν αὐτοῖς πάντας ἁγίους.

Phonetic (Greek): Ἀspasasthe allelous en philemati hagiῳ. Ἀspazontai hymas ahi ekklesiai ⸀pasai toy Christoy.
Edified Edition (EDE)Greet one another with a holy kiss. The churches of Christ greet you.

Ἀσπάσασθε ἀλλήλους ἐν φιλήματι ἁγίῳ. Ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς αἱ ἐκκλησίαι ⸀πᾶσαι τοῦ Χριστοῦ.

Phonetic (Greek): Parakalo de hymas, adelphoi, skopein toys tas dichostasias kai ta skandala para ten didachen hen hymeis emathete poioyntas, kai ⸀ekklinete apʼ ayton·
Edified Edition (EDE)Now I urge you, brothers, note those who cause divisions and offences, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.

Παρακαλῶ δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί, σκοπεῖν τοὺς τὰς διχοστασίας καὶ τὰ σκάνδαλα παρὰ τὴν διδαχὴν ἣν ὑμεῖς ἐμάθετε ποιοῦντας, καὶ ⸀ἐκκλίνετε ἀπʼ αὐτῶν·

Phonetic (Greek): ohi gar toioytoi tῷ kyriῳ ⸀hemon Christῷ oy douleyousin alla tῇ heauton koiliᾳ, kai dia tes chrestologias kai eylogias exapatosi tas kardias ton akakon.
Edified Edition (EDE)For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.

οἱ γὰρ τοιοῦτοι τῷ κυρίῳ ⸀ἡμῶν Χριστῷ οὐ δουλεύουσιν ἀλλὰ τῇ ἑαυτῶν κοιλίᾳ, καὶ διὰ τῆς χρηστολογίας καὶ εὐλογίας ἐξαπατῶσι τὰς καρδίας τῶν ἀκάκων.

Phonetic (Greek): he gar hymon hypakoe eis pantas aphiketo· ⸂ephʼ hymin oyn chairo⸃, thelo de hymas ⸀sophoys einai eis to agathon, akeraious de eis to kakon.
Edified Edition (EDE)For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil.

ἡ γὰρ ὑμῶν ὑπακοὴ εἰς πάντας ἀφίκετο· ⸂ἐφʼ ὑμῖν οὖν χαίρω⸃, θέλω δὲ ὑμᾶς ⸀σοφοὺς εἶναι εἰς τὸ ἀγαθόν, ἀκεραίους δὲ εἰς τὸ κακόν.

Phonetic (Greek): ho de theos tes eirenes syntripsei ton Satanan hypo toys podas hymon en tachei. he charis toy kyriou hemon Ἰesoy ⸀Christoy methʼ hymon.
Edified Edition (EDE)And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

ὁ δὲ θεὸς τῆς εἰρήνης συντρίψει τὸν Σατανᾶν ὑπὸ τοὺς πόδας ὑμῶν ἐν τάχει. ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ ⸀Χριστοῦ μεθʼ ὑμῶν.

Phonetic (Greek): ⸀Ἀspazetai hymas Timotheos ho synergos mou, kai Loykios kai Ἰason kai Sosipatros ohi syngeneis mou.
Edified Edition (EDE)Timothy, my fellow worker, and Lucius, Jason, and Sosipater, my countrymen, greet you.

⸀Ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς Τιμόθεος ὁ συνεργός μου, καὶ Λούκιος καὶ Ἰάσων καὶ Σωσίπατρος οἱ συγγενεῖς μου.

Phonetic (Greek): aspazomai hymas ego Tertios ho grapsas ten epistolen en kyriῳ.
Edified Edition (EDE)I, Tertius, who wrote this epistle, greet you in the Lord.

ἀσπάζομαι ὑμᾶς ἐγὼ Τέρτιος ὁ γράψας τὴν ἐπιστολὴν ἐν κυρίῳ.

Phonetic (Greek): aspazetai hymas Gaios ho xenos mou kai ⸂holes tes ekklesias⸃. aspazetai hymas Ἔrastos ho oikonomos tes poleos kai Koyartos ho adelphos.
Edified Edition (EDE)Gaius, my host and the host of the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the treasurer of the city, greets you, and Quartus, a brother.

ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς Γάϊος ὁ ξένος μου καὶ ⸂ὅλης τῆς ἐκκλησίας⸃. ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς Ἔραστος ὁ οἰκονόμος τῆς πόλεως καὶ Κούαρτος ὁ ἀδελφός.
