Chapter 30
1
Edified Edition (EDE)And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to the LORD God of Israel.

2
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּiua'a֨tz hamּe֧leke veshsara֛yv vekal-haqּaha֖l bּiyrushshala֑im la'ashs֥ot hapּe֖sach bּacho֥deshsh hashshּeniֽy׃
Edified Edition (EDE)For the king and his leaders and all the assembly in Jerusalem had agreed to keep the Passover in the second month.

3
Phonetic (Hebrew): kּi֣y lo֧ yakel֛u la'ashsot֖o bּa'e֣t hahi֑y kּi֤y hakּohaniym֙ loֽ'-hiteqadּeshsh֣u lema dּa֔y veha'a֖m lo'-ne'esep֥u liֽyrushshalaiֽm׃
Edified Edition (EDE)For they could not keep it at the regular time, because a sufficient number of priests had not sanctified themselves, nor had the people gathered together at Jerusalem.

4
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּiyshsha֥r hadּaba֖r bּe'eyne֣y hamּe֑leke ube'eyne֖y kּal-haqּahaֽl׃
Edified Edition (EDE)And the matter pleased the king and all the assembly.

5
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּaֽ'ami֣ydu daba֗r leha'abi֨yr q֤ol bּekal-yishsera'el֙ mibּe'eֽr-shshe֣ba ve'ad-dּa֔n lab֞o la'ashs֥ot pּe֛sach layhva֥h 'eloheֽy-yishsera'e֖l bּiyrushshala֑im kּi֣y lo֥ laro֛b 'ashs֖u kּakּatֽub׃
Edified Edition (EDE)So they established a decree to make a proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to the LORD God of Israel at Jerusalem, for they had not done it for a long time in the manner prescribed.

6
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּeleku֩ haratzi֨ym bּaֽ'igּer֜ot miyּa֧d hamּe֣leke veshsara֗yv bּekal-yishsera'el֙ viֽyhuda֔h ukemitzeva֥t hamּe֖leke le'mo֑r bּene֣y yishsera'e֗l shsh֚ubu 'el-yehva֗h 'elohey֙ 'aberaham֙ yitzecha֣q veyishsera'e֔l veyashshob֙ 'el-hapּeleyta֔h hanּishshe'e֣ret lake֔m mikּa֖p maleke֥y 'ashshּֽur׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Then the runners went throughout all Israel and Judah with the letters from the king and his leaders, and spoke according to the commandment of the king: "Children of Israel, return to the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel; then He will return to the remnant of you who have escaped from the hand of the kings of Assyria.

Edified Edition (EDE)And do not be like your fathers and your brothers, who trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, so that He gave them up to desolation, as you see.

8
Phonetic (Hebrew): atּa֕h 'al-tּaqeshsh֥u 'arepּeke֖m kּa'aboteyke֑m tּenu-ya֣d layhva֗h ubo֤'u lemiqedּashsho֙ 'ashshe֣r hiqedּi֣yshsh le'ola֔m ve'ibedu֙ 'et-yehva֣h 'eloheyke֔m veyashsho֥b mikּe֖m char֥on 'apּֽo׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Now do not be stiff-necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the LORD; and enter His sanctuary, which He has sanctified forever, and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of His wrath may turn away from you.

Phonetic (Hebrew): kּi֣y beshshubeke֞m 'al-yehva֗h 'acheyke֨m ubeneyke֤m lerachamiym֙ lipene֣y shshֽobeyhe֔m velashsh֖ub la'a֣retz hazּo֑'t kּiֽy-chanּ֤un verachum֙ yehva֣h 'eloheyke֔m velo'-yasi֤yr pּaniym֙ mikּe֔m 'im-tּashsh֖ubu 'elaֽyv׃p
Edified Edition (EDE)For if you return to the LORD, your brothers and your children will find compassion before those who led them captive, so that they may come back to this land; for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn His face from you if you return to Him."

Edified Edition (EDE)So the runners passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, as far as Zebulun; but they laughed them to scorn and mocked them.

Edified Edition (EDE)Nevertheless several from Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.

Phonetic (Hebrew): gּa֣m bּiyhuda֗h haֽyetah֙ ya֣d ha'elohi֔ym late֥t lahe֖m le֣b 'echa֑d la'ashs֞ot mitzeva֥t hamּe֛leke vehashsּari֖ym bּideba֥r yehvaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Also the hand of God was on Judah to give them one heart to obey the commandment of the king and the leaders, at the word of the LORD.

Edified Edition (EDE)Now many people, a very great congregation, assembled at Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread in the second month.

Edified Edition (EDE)They arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the incense altars they took away and cast into the Brook Kidron.

Edified Edition (EDE)Then they killed the Passover lambs on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought the burnt offerings into the house of the LORD.
