Chapter 2
1
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayehi֗y bּeha'al֤ot yehvah֙ 'et-'e֣liyּa֔hu bּaֽse'ara֖h hashshּama֑yim vayּe֧leke 'eliyּa֛hu ve'eliyshsha֖ min-hagּilegּaֽl׃
Edified Edition (EDE)When the LORD was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal.

וַיְהִ֗י בְּהַעֲל֤וֹת יְהוָה֙ אֶת־אֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ בַּֽסְעָרָ֖ה הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וַיֵּ֧לֶךְ אֵלִיָּ֛הוּ וֶאֱלִישָׁ֖ע מִן־הַגִּלְגָּֽל׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּo'mer֩ 'eliyּa֨hu 'el-'eliyshsha֜ shsheֽb-na֣ po֗h kּi֤y yehvah֙ shshelacha֣niy 'ad-bּeֽyt-'e֔l vayּo֣'mer 'eliyshsha֔ chay-yehva֥h vecheֽy-napeshsheka֖ 'im-'e'ezebe֑kּa vayּered֖u bּeֽyt-'eֽl׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Elijah said to Elisha, 'Stay here; the LORD has sent me to Bethel.' But Elisha said, 'As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you.' So they went down to Bethel.

וַיֹּאמֶר֩ אֵלִיָּ֨הוּ אֶל־אֱלִישָׁ֜ע שֵֽׁב־נָ֣א פֹ֗ה כִּ֤י יְהוָה֙ שְׁלָחַ֣נִי עַד־בֵּֽית־אֵ֔ל וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֱלִישָׁ֔ע חַי־יְהוָ֥ה וְחֵֽי־נַפְשְׁךָ֖ אִם־אֶעֶזְבֶ֑ךָּ וַיֵּרְד֖וּ בֵּֽית־אֵֽל׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּetze'֨u beneֽy-hanּebiy'i֥ym 'ashsher-bּeֽyt-'el֮ 'el-'eliyshsha'֒ vayּo'mer֣u 'ela֔yv hayada֕'etּa kּi֣y hayּ֗om yehva֛h loqe֥cha 'et-'adone֖yka me'a֣l ro'shshe֑ka vayּo֛'mer gּam-'ani֥y yada֖'etּiy hecheshshֽu׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The company of the prophets at Bethel came out to Elisha and asked, 'Do you know that the LORD is going to take your master from you today?' 'Yes, I know,' Elisha replied, 'so be quiet.'

וַיֵּצְא֨וּ בְנֵֽי־הַנְּבִיאִ֥ים אֲשֶׁר־בֵּֽית־אֵל֮ אֶל־אֱלִישָׁע֒ וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֔יו הֲיָדַ֕עְתָּ כִּ֣י הַיּ֗וֹם יְהוָ֛ה לֹקֵ֥חַ אֶת־אֲדֹנֶ֖יךָ מֵעַ֣ל רֹאשֶׁ֑ךָ וַיֹּ֛אמֶר גַּם־אֲנִ֥י יָדַ֖עְתִּי הֶחֱשֽׁוּ׃

4
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּo'mer֩ l֨o 'eliyּa֜hu 'eliyshsha֣ ׀ shsheֽb-na֣ po֗h kּi֤y yehvah֙ shshelacha֣niy yeriych֔o vayּo֕'mer chay-yehva֥h vecheֽy-napeshsheka֖ 'im-'e'ezebe֑kּa vayּabo֖'u yeriychֽo׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Then Elijah said to him, 'Stay here, Elisha; the LORD has sent me to Jericho.' And he replied, 'As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you.' So they went to Jericho.

וַיֹּאמֶר֩ ל֨וֹ אֵלִיָּ֜הוּ אֱלִישָׁ֣ע ׀ שֵֽׁב־נָ֣א פֹ֗ה כִּ֤י יְהוָה֙ שְׁלָחַ֣נִי יְרִיח֔וֹ וַיֹּ֕אמֶר חַי־יְהוָ֥ה וְחֵֽי־נַפְשְׁךָ֖ אִם־אֶעֶזְבֶ֑ךָּ וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ יְרִיחֽוֹ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּigּeshsh֨u beneֽy-hanּebiy'i֥ym 'ashsher-bּiֽyriycho֮ 'el-'eliyshsha'֒ vayּo'mer֣u 'ela֔yv hayada֕'etּa kּi֣y hayּ֗om yehva֛h loqe֥cha 'et-'adone֖yka me'a֣l ro'shshe֑ka vayּo֛'mer gּam-'ani֥y yada֖'etּiy hecheshshֽu׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The company of the prophets at Jericho went up to Elisha and asked him, 'Do you know that the LORD is going to take your master from you today?' 'Yes, I know,' he replied, 'so be quiet.'

וַיִּגְּשׁ֨וּ בְנֵֽי־הַנְּבִיאִ֥ים אֲשֶׁר־בִּֽירִיחוֹ֮ אֶל־אֱלִישָׁע֒ וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֔יו הֲיָדַ֕עְתָּ כִּ֣י הַיּ֗וֹם יְהוָ֛ה לֹקֵ֥חַ אֶת־אֲדֹנֶ֖יךָ מֵעַ֣ל רֹאשֶׁ֑ךָ וַיֹּ֛אמֶר גַּם־אֲנִ֥י יָדַ֖עְתִּי הֶחֱשֽׁוּ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּo'mer֩ l֨o 'eliyּa֜hu shsheֽb-na֣ po֗h kּi֤y yehvah֙ shshelacha֣niy hayּaredּe֔nah vayּo֕'mer chay-yehva֥h vecheֽy-napeshsheka֖ 'im-'e'ezebe֑kּa vayּelek֖u shsheneyheֽm׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Then Elijah said to him, 'Stay here; the LORD has sent me to the Jordan.' And he replied, 'As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you.' So the two of them walked on.

וַיֹּאמֶר֩ ל֨וֹ אֵלִיָּ֜הוּ שֵֽׁב־נָ֣א פֹ֗ה כִּ֤י יְהוָה֙ שְׁלָחַ֣נִי הַיַּרְדֵּ֔נָה וַיֹּ֕אמֶר חַי־יְהוָ֥ה וְחֵֽי־נַפְשְׁךָ֖ אִם־אֶעֶזְבֶ֑ךָּ וַיֵּלְכ֖וּ שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃

7
Phonetic (Hebrew): vachamishshּi֨ym 'i֜yshsh mibּene֤y hanּebiy'iym֙ haֽlek֔u vayּa'amed֥u minּe֖ged merach֑oq ushsheneyhe֖m 'amed֥u 'al-hayּaredּeֽn׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Fifty men from the company of the prophets went and stood at a distance, facing the place where Elijah and Elisha had stopped at the Jordan.

וַחֲמִשִּׁ֨ים אִ֜ישׁ מִבְּנֵ֤י הַנְּבִיאִים֙ הָֽלְכ֔וּ וַיַּעַמְד֥וּ מִנֶּ֖גֶד מֵרָח֑וֹק וּשְׁנֵיהֶ֖ם עָמְד֥וּ עַל־הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃

8
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּiqּach֩ 'eliyּa֨hu 'et-'adּaretּ֤o vayּigelom֙ vayּakּe֣h 'et-hamּa֔yim vayּechatz֖u he֣nּah vahe֑nּah vayּa'aber֥u shsheneyhe֖m bּecharabaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Elijah took his cloak, rolled it up and struck the water with it. The water divided to the right and to the left, and the two of them crossed over on dry ground.

וַיִּקַּח֩ אֵלִיָּ֨הוּ אֶת־אַדַּרְתּ֤וֹ וַיִּגְלֹם֙ וַיַּכֶּ֣ה אֶת־הַמַּ֔יִם וַיֵּחָצ֖וּ הֵ֣נָּה וָהֵ֑נָּה וַיַּעַבְר֥וּ שְׁנֵיהֶ֖ם בֶּחָרָבָֽה׃

9
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayehi֣y ke'abera֗m ve'e֨liyּa֜hu 'ama֤r 'el-'eliyshsha'֙ shshe'al֙ ma֣h 'eֽ'eshseh-lּa֔ke bּete֖rem 'elּaqa֣ch me'imּa֑ke vayּo֣'mer 'eliyshsha֔ viֽyhiy-na֛ pּiֽy-shshena֥yim bּeruchaka֖ 'elaֽy׃
Edified Edition (EDE)When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, 'Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?' 'Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,' Elisha replied.

וַיְהִ֣י כְעָבְרָ֗ם וְאֵ֨לִיָּ֜הוּ אָמַ֤ר אֶל־אֱלִישָׁע֙ שְׁאַל֙ מָ֣ה אֶֽעֱשֶׂה־לָּ֔ךְ בְּטֶ֖רֶם אֶלָּקַ֣ח מֵעִמָּ֑ךְ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֱלִישָׁ֔ע וִֽיהִי־נָ֛א פִּֽי־שְׁנַ֥יִם בְּרוּחֲךָ֖ אֵלָֽי׃

10
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּo֖'mer hiqeshshi֣yta lishshe'֑ol 'im-tּire'e֨h 'oti֜y luqּa֤ch meֽ'itּake֙ yehiֽy-leka֣ ke֔n ve'im-'a֖yin lo֥ yiheyeֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'You have asked a difficult thing,' Elijah said, 'yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours, otherwise, it will not.'

וַיֹּ֖אמֶר הִקְשִׁ֣יתָ לִשְׁא֑וֹל אִם־תִּרְאֶ֨ה אֹתִ֜י לֻקָּ֤ח מֵֽאִתָּךְ֙ יְהִֽי־לְךָ֣ כֵ֔ן וְאִם־אַ֖יִן לֹ֥א יִהְיֶֽה׃

11
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayehi֗y he֣mּah holeki֤ym haloke֙ vedabּe֔r vehinּe֤h reֽkeb-'eshsh֙ ves֣usey 'e֔shsh vayּaperi֖du bּe֣yn shsheneyhe֑m vayּa֨'al֙ 'e֣liyּa֔hu bּaֽse'ara֖h hashshּamaֽyim׃
Edified Edition (EDE)As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire [1] and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.

וַיְהִ֗י הֵ֣מָּה הֹלְכִ֤ים הָלוֹךְ֙ וְדַבֵּ֔ר וְהִנֵּ֤ה רֶֽכֶב־אֵשׁ֙ וְס֣וּסֵי אֵ֔שׁ וַיַּפְרִ֖דוּ בֵּ֣ין שְׁנֵיהֶ֑ם וַיַּ֨עַל֙ אֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ בַּֽסְעָרָ֖ה הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃

12
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'eliyshsha֣ ro'e֗h veh֤u metza'eq֙ 'abi֣y ׀ 'abi֗y re֤keb yishsera'el֙ upa֣rashsha֔yv velo֥ ra'a֖hu '֑od vֽayּachazeq֙ bּibegada֔yv vayּiqera'e֖m lishshena֥yim qera'iֽym׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Elisha saw this and cried out, 'My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!' And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore it in two.

וֶאֱלִישָׁ֣ע רֹאֶ֗ה וְה֤וּא מְצַעֵק֙ אָבִ֣י ׀ אָבִ֗י רֶ֤כֶב יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וּפָ֣רָשָׁ֔יו וְלֹ֥א רָאָ֖הוּ ע֑וֹד וַֽיַּחֲזֵק֙ בִּבְגָדָ֔יו וַיִּקְרָעֵ֖ם לִשְׁנַ֥יִם קְרָעִֽים׃

13
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֨rem֙ 'et-'adּe֣ret 'eliyּa֔hu 'ashshe֥r napela֖h me'ala֑yv vayּa֥shshab vaֽyּa'amo֖d 'al-shsepa֥t hayּaredּeֽn׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Elisha then picked up Elijah’s cloak that had fallen from him and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan.

וַיָּ֨רֶם֙ אֶת־אַדֶּ֣רֶת אֵלִיָּ֔הוּ אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָפְלָ֖ה מֵעָלָ֑יו וַיָּ֥שָׁב וַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖ד עַל־שְׂפַ֥ת הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃

14
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּiqּach֩ 'et-'adּe֨ret 'eliyּa֜hu 'ashsher-napela֤h meֽ'alayv֙ vayּakּe֣h 'et-hamּa֔yim vayּo'ma֕r 'ayּe֕h yehva֖h 'elohe֣y 'eliyּa֑hu 'ap-h֣u ׀ vayּakּe֣h 'et-hamּa֗yim vayּeֽchatzu֙ he֣nּah vahe֔nּah vaֽyּa'abo֖r 'eliyshshaֽ'׃
Edified Edition (EDE)He took the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and struck the water with it. 'Where now is the LORD, the God of Elijah?' he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over.

וַיִּקַּח֩ אֶת־אַדֶּ֨רֶת אֵלִיָּ֜הוּ אֲשֶׁר־נָפְלָ֤ה מֵֽעָלָיו֙ וַיַּכֶּ֣ה אֶת־הַמַּ֔יִם וַיֹּאמַ֕ר אַיֵּ֕ה יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י אֵלִיָּ֑הוּ אַף־ה֣וּא ׀ וַיַּכֶּ֣ה אֶת־הַמַּ֗יִם וַיֵּֽחָצוּ֙ הֵ֣נָּה וָהֵ֔נָּה וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֖ר אֱלִישָֽׁע׃

15
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּire'u֨hu beneֽy-hanּebiy'i֤ym 'ashsher-bּiֽyriycho֙ minּe֔ged vayּo֣'mer֔u na֛chah r֥ucha 'eliyּa֖hu 'al-'eliyshsha֑ vayּabo֨'u֙ liqera't֔o vayּishshetּachavu-l֖o 'aֽretzah׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The company of the prophets from Jericho, who were watching, said, 'The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha.' And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

וַיִּרְאֻ֨הוּ בְנֵֽי־הַנְּבִיאִ֤ים אֲשֶׁר־בִּֽירִיחוֹ֙ מִנֶּ֔גֶד וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ נָ֛חָה ר֥וּחַ אֵלִיָּ֖הוּ עַל־אֱלִישָׁ֑ע וַיָּבֹ֨אוּ֙ לִקְרָאת֔וֹ וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּ־ל֖וֹ אָֽרְצָה׃

16
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּo'mer֣u 'ela֡yv hinּeh-na֣ yeֽshsh-'et-'abadeyka֩ chamishshּi֨ym 'anashshi֜ym bּeneֽy-cha֗yil ye֣leku na'֮ viybaqeshsh֣u 'et-'adoneyka֒ pּen-neshsa'o֙ r֣ucha yehva֔h vayּashshelike֨hu֙ bּe'acha֣d hehari֔ym '֖o bּe'acha֣t hgy'vt hagּe'ay֑ot vayּo֖'mer lo֥ tishshelaֽchu׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'Look,' they said, 'we your servants have fifty able men. Let them go and look for your master. Perhaps the Spirit of the LORD has picked him up and set him on some mountain or in some valley.' 'No,' Elisha replied, 'do not send them.'

וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֡יו הִנֵּה־נָ֣א יֵֽשׁ־אֶת־עֲבָדֶיךָ֩ חֲמִשִּׁ֨ים אֲנָשִׁ֜ים בְּנֵֽי־חַ֗יִל יֵ֣לְכוּ נָא֮ וִיבַקְשׁ֣וּ אֶת־אֲדֹנֶיךָ֒ פֶּן־נְשָׂאוֹ֙ ר֣וּחַ יְהוָ֔ה וַיַּשְׁלִכֵ֨הוּ֙ בְּאַחַ֣ד הֶהָרִ֔ים א֖וֹ בְּאַחַ֣ת הגיאות הַגֵּאָי֑וֹת וַיֹּ֖אמֶר לֹ֥א תִשְׁלָֽחוּ׃

17
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּipetzeru-b֥o 'ad-bּo֖shsh vayּo֣'mer shshela֑chu vaֽyּishshelechu֙ chamishshּi֣ym 'i֔yshsh vayebaqeshsh֥u shsheloshshaֽh-yami֖ym velo֥ metza'uֽhu׃
Edified Edition (EDE)But they persisted until he was too embarrassed to refuse. So he said, 'Send them.' And they sent fifty men, who searched for three days but did not find him.

וַיִּפְצְרוּ־ב֥וֹ עַד־בֹּ֖שׁ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שְׁלָ֑חוּ וַֽיִּשְׁלְחוּ֙ חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים אִ֔ישׁ וַיְבַקְשׁ֥וּ שְׁלֹשָֽׁה־יָמִ֖ים וְלֹ֥א מְצָאֻֽהוּ׃

18
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּashshu֣bu 'ela֔yv veh֖u yoshshe֣b bּiyriych֑o vayּo֣'mer 'alehe֔m halֽo'-'ama֥retּiy 'aleyke֖m 'al-tּeleֽku׃
Edified Edition (EDE)When they returned to Elisha, who was staying in Jericho, he said to them, 'Didn’t I tell you not to go?'

וַיָּשֻׁ֣בוּ אֵלָ֔יו וְה֖וּא יֹשֵׁ֣ב בִּירִיח֑וֹ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֔ם הֲלֽוֹא־אָמַ֥רְתִּי אֲלֵיכֶ֖ם אַל־תֵּלֵֽכוּ׃

19
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּo֨'mer֜u 'aneshshe֤y ha'iyr֙ 'el-'eliyshsha֔ hinּeh-na֞ moshsha֤b ha'iyr֙ t֔ob kּa'ashshe֥r 'adoni֖y ro'e֑h vehamּa֥yim ra'i֖ym veha'a֥retz meshshakּaֽlet׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The people of the city said to Elisha, 'Look, our lord, this town is well situated, as you can see, but the water is bad and the land is unproductive.'

וַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּ אַנְשֵׁ֤י הָעִיר֙ אֶל־אֱלִישָׁ֔ע הִנֵּה־נָ֞א מוֹשַׁ֤ב הָעִיר֙ ט֔וֹב כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲדֹנִ֖י רֹאֶ֑ה וְהַמַּ֥יִם רָעִ֖ים וְהָאָ֥רֶץ מְשַׁכָּֽלֶת׃

20
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּo֗'mer qechu-liy֙ tzelochi֣yt chadashsha֔h veshsi֥ymu shsha֖m me֑lach vayּiqech֖u 'elaֽyv׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'Bring me a new bowl,' he said, 'and put salt in it.' So they brought it to him.

וַיֹּ֗אמֶר קְחוּ־לִי֙ צְלֹחִ֣ית חֲדָשָׁ֔ה וְשִׂ֥ימוּ שָׁ֖ם מֶ֑לַח וַיִּקְח֖וּ אֵלָֽיו׃

21
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּetze'֙ 'el-motza֣ hamּa֔yim vayּashsheleke-shsha֖m me֑lach vayּo֜'mer kּoֽh-'ama֣r yehva֗h ripּi֨'tiy֙ lamּa֣yim ha'e֔lּeh loֽ'-yiheye֥h mishshּa֛m '֖od ma֥vet umeshshakּaֽlet׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying, 'This is what the LORD says: "I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive."'

וַיֵּצֵא֙ אֶל־מוֹצָ֣א הַמַּ֔יִם וַיַּשְׁלֶךְ־שָׁ֖ם מֶ֑לַח וַיֹּ֜אמֶר כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה רִפִּ֨אתִי֙ לַמַּ֣יִם הָאֵ֔לֶּה לֹֽא־יִהְיֶ֥ה מִשָּׁ֛ם ע֖וֹד מָ֥וֶת וּמְשַׁכָּֽלֶת׃

22
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּerap֣u hamּa֔yim 'a֖d hayּ֣om hazּe֑h kּideba֥r 'eliyshsha֖ 'ashshe֥r dּibּeֽr׃p
Edified Edition (EDE)And the water has remained pure to this day, according to the word Elisha had spoken.

וַיֵּרָפ֣וּ הַמַּ֔יִם עַ֖ד הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה כִּדְבַ֥ר אֱלִישָׁ֖ע אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבֵּֽר׃פ

23
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֥'al mishshּa֖m bּeֽyt-'e֑l veh֣u ׀ 'ole֣h badּe֗reke une'ari֤ym qetanּiym֙ yatze'֣u min-ha'i֔yr vayּiteqalּesu-bo֙ vayּo֣'meru l֔o 'ale֥h qere֖cha 'ale֥h qereֽcha׃
Edified Edition (EDE)From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and mocked him. 'Go on up, you baldhead!' they said. 'Go on up, you baldhead!'

וַיַּ֥עַל מִשָּׁ֖ם בֵּֽית־אֵ֑ל וְה֣וּא ׀ עֹלֶ֣ה בַדֶּ֗רֶךְ וּנְעָרִ֤ים קְטַנִּים֙ יָצְא֣וּ מִן־הָעִ֔יר וַיִּתְקַלְּסוּ־בוֹ֙ וַיֹּ֣אמְרוּ ל֔וֹ עֲלֵ֥ה קֵרֵ֖חַ עֲלֵ֥ה קֵרֵֽחַ׃

24
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּi֤pen 'aֽcharayv֙ vayּire'e֔m vaֽyeqalele֖m bּeshshe֣m yehva֑h vatּetze֨'nah shshetּa֤yim dּubּiym֙ min-hayּa֔'ar vatּebaqּa֣'enah mehe֔m 'arebּa'i֥ym ushshene֖y yeladiֽym׃
Edified Edition (EDE)He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the Name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.

וַיִּ֤פֶן אַֽחֲרָיו֙ וַיִּרְאֵ֔ם וַֽיְקַלְלֵ֖ם בְּשֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה וַתֵּצֶ֨אנָה שְׁתַּ֤יִם דֻּבִּים֙ מִן־הַיַּ֔עַר וַתְּבַקַּ֣עְנָה מֵהֶ֔ם אַרְבָּעִ֥ים וּשְׁנֵ֖י יְלָדִֽים׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּe֥leke mishshּa֖m 'el-ha֣r hakּareme֑l umishshּa֖m shsha֥b shshomerֽon׃p
Edified Edition (EDE)And he went on to Mount Carmel and from there returned to Samaria.

וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ מִשָּׁ֖ם אֶל־הַ֣ר הַכַּרְמֶ֑ל וּמִשָּׁ֖ם שָׁ֥ב שֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃פ
