Chapter 7

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayehi֕y kּiy-yashsha֥b hamּe֖leke bּebeyt֑o vayhva֛h heniֽycha-l֥o misּabi֖yb mikּal-'oyebaֽyv׃

Edified Edition (EDE)After the king was settled in his palace and the LORD had given him rest from all his enemies around him,

וַיְהִ֕י כִּי־יָשַׁ֥ב הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ בְּבֵית֑וֹ וַיהוָ֛ה הֵנִֽיחַ־ל֥וֹ מִסָּבִ֖יב מִכָּל־אֹיְבָֽיו׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּo֤'mer hamּe֨leke֙ 'el-nata֣n hanּabi֔y re'e֣h na֔ 'anoki֥y yoshshe֖b bּebe֣yt 'arazi֑ym vaֽ'aron֙ haֽ'elohi֔ym yoshshe֖b bּet֥oke hayeriy'aֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)he said to Nathan the prophet, 'Here I am, living in a palace of cedar, while the Ark of God remains in a tent.'

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ֙ אֶל־נָתָ֣ן הַנָּבִ֔יא רְאֵ֣ה נָ֔א אָנֹכִ֥י יוֹשֵׁ֖ב בְּבֵ֣ית אֲרָזִ֑ים וַֽאֲרוֹן֙ הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים יֹשֵׁ֖ב בְּת֥וֹךְ הַיְרִיעָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּo֤'mer natan֙ 'el-hamּe֔leke kּo֛l 'ashshe֥r bּiֽlebabeka֖ le֣ke 'ashse֑h kּi֥y yehva֖h 'imּaֽke׃s

Edified Edition (EDE)Nathan replied to the king, 'Whatever you have in mind, go ahead and do it, for the LORD is with you.'

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר נָתָן֙ אֶל־הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ כֹּ֛ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר בִּֽלְבָבְךָ֖ לֵ֣ךְ עֲשֵׂ֑ה כִּ֥י יְהוָ֖ה עִמָּֽךְ׃ס

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayehi֖y bּalּa֣yelah hah֑u vaֽyehiy֙ dּebar-yehva֔h 'el-nata֖n le'moֽr׃

Edified Edition (EDE)But that night the word of the LORD came to Nathan, saying:

וַיְהִ֖י בַּלַּ֣יְלָה הַה֑וּא וַֽיְהִי֙ דְּבַר־יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־נָתָ֖ן לֵאמֹֽר׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): le֤ke ve'aֽmaretּa֙ 'el-'abedּi֣y 'el-dּavi֔d kּo֖h 'ama֣r yehva֑h ha'atּa֛h tּibeneh-lּi֥y ba֖yit leshshibetּiֽy׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'Go and tell my servant David: "This is what the LORD says: Are you the one to build me a house to dwell in?"'

לֵ֤ךְ וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ אֶל־עַבְדִּ֣י אֶל־דָּוִ֔ד כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה הַאַתָּ֛ה תִּבְנֶה־לִּ֥י בַ֖יִת לְשִׁבְתִּֽי׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): kּi֣y lo֤ yashsha֨betּiy֙ bּeba֔yit le֠miyּom ha'aloti֞y 'et-bּene֤y yishsera'el֙ mimּitzera֔yim ve'a֖d hayּ֣om hazּe֑h va'eֽheyeh֙ mitehalּe֔ke bּe'o֖hel ubemishshekּaֽn׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'I have not lived in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt to this day. I have been moving from place to place with a tent as my dwelling.'

כִּ֣י לֹ֤א יָשַׁ֨בְתִּי֙ בְּבַ֔יִת לְ֠מִיּוֹם הַעֲלֹתִ֞י אֶת־בְּנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם וְעַ֖ד הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וָאֶֽהְיֶה֙ מִתְהַלֵּ֔ךְ בְּאֹ֖הֶל וּבְמִשְׁכָּֽן׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): bּeko֥l 'ashsheֽr-hitehalּaketּiy֮ bּekal-bּene֣y yishsera'el֒ hadaba֣r dּibּa֗retּiy 'et-'achad֙ shshibete֣y yishsera'e֔l 'ashshe֣r tziui֗ytiy lire'֛ot 'et-'amּi֥y 'et-yishsera'e֖l le'mo֑r la֛mּah loֽ'-beniyte֥m li֖y bּe֥yt 'araziֽym׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'Wherever I have moved with all the Israelites, did I ever say to any of their rulers whom I commanded to shepherd my people Israel, "Why have you not built me a house of cedar?"'

בְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶֽׁר־הִתְהַלַּכְתִּי֮ בְּכָל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ הֲדָבָ֣ר דִּבַּ֗רְתִּי אֶת־אַחַד֙ שִׁבְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוִּ֗יתִי לִרְע֛וֹת אֶת־עַמִּ֥י אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר לָ֛מָּה לֹֽא־בְנִיתֶ֥ם לִ֖י בֵּ֥ית אֲרָזִֽים׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve֠'atּah kּoֽh-to'ma֞r le'abedּi֣y ledavi֗d kּo֤h 'amar֙ yehva֣h tzeba'֔ot 'ani֤y leqachetּi֨yka֙ min-hanּave֔h me'acha֖r hatzּo֑'n liֽhey֣ot nagi֔yd 'al-'amּi֖y 'al-yishsera'eֽl׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'Now then, tell my servant David: "This is what the LORD of Armies says: I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people Israel."'

וְ֠עַתָּה כֹּֽה־תֹאמַ֞ר לְעַבְדִּ֣י לְדָוִ֗ד כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת אֲנִ֤י לְקַחְתִּ֨יךָ֙ מִן־הַנָּוֶ֔ה מֵאַחַ֖ר הַצֹּ֑אן לִֽהְי֣וֹת נָגִ֔יד עַל־עַמִּ֖י עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): va'eheye֣h 'imּeka֗ bּekol֙ 'ashshe֣r hala֔ketּa va'akeri֥tah 'et-kּal-'oyebe֖yka mipּane֑yka ve'ashsi֤tiֽy leka֙ shshe֣m gּad֔ol kּeshshe֥m hagּedoli֖ym 'ashshe֥r bּa'aֽretz׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men on earth.'

וָאֶהְיֶ֣ה עִמְּךָ֗ בְּכֹל֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָלַ֔כְתָּ וָאַכְרִ֥תָה אֶת־כָּל־אֹיְבֶ֖יךָ מִפָּנֶ֑יךָ וְעָשִׂ֤תִֽי לְךָ֙ שֵׁ֣ם גָּד֔וֹל כְּשֵׁ֥ם הַגְּדֹלִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר בָּאָֽרֶץ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): veshsametּi֣y ma֠qom le'amּi֨y leyishsera'e֤l uneta'etּiyv֙ veshshaka֣n tּachetּa֔yv velo֥ yiregּa֖z '֑od veloֽ'-yosi֤ypu beneֽy-'avelah֙ le'anּot֔o kּa'ashshe֖r bּari'shshonaֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'And I will provide a place for my people Israel and will plant them so that they can have a home of their own and no longer be disturbed. Wicked people will not oppress them anymore, as they did at the beginning'

וְשַׂמְתִּ֣י מָ֠קוֹם לְעַמִּ֨י לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל וּנְטַעְתִּיו֙ וְשָׁכַ֣ן תַּחְתָּ֔יו וְלֹ֥א יִרְגַּ֖ז ע֑וֹד וְלֹֽא־יֹסִ֤יפוּ בְנֵֽי־עַוְלָה֙ לְעַנּוֹת֔וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר בָּרִאשׁוֹנָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ulemin-hayּ֗om 'ashshe֨r tziui֤ytiy shshoֽpetiym֙ 'al-'amּi֣y yishsera'e֔l vahaniycho֥tiy leka֖ mikּal-'oyebe֑yka vehigּi֤yd leka֙ yehva֔h kּiy-ba֖yit ya'ashseh-lּeka֥ yehvaֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'and have done ever since the time I appointed leaders over my people Israel. I will also give you rest from all your enemies. the LORD declares to you that the LORD himself will establish a house for you:'

וּלְמִן־הַיּ֗וֹם אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוִּ֤יתִי שֹֽׁפְטִים֙ עַל־עַמִּ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַהֲנִיחֹ֥תִי לְךָ֖ מִכָּל־אֹיְבֶ֑יךָ וְהִגִּ֤יד לְךָ֙ יְהוָ֔ה כִּי־בַ֖יִת יַעֲשֶׂה־לְּךָ֥ יְהוָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): kּi֣y ׀ yimele'֣u yame֗yka veshshaֽkabetּa֙ 'et-'abote֔yka vahaqiymoti֤y 'eֽt-zare'aka֙ 'achare֔yka 'ashshe֥r yetze֖ mimּe'e֑yka vahakiynoti֖y 'et-mamelaketּֽo׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom.'

כִּ֣י ׀ יִמְלְא֣וּ יָמֶ֗יךָ וְשָֽׁכַבְתָּ֙ אֶת־אֲבֹתֶ֔יךָ וַהֲקִימֹתִ֤י אֶֽת־זַרְעֲךָ֙ אַחֲרֶ֔יךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר יֵצֵ֖א מִמֵּעֶ֑יךָ וַהֲכִינֹתִ֖י אֶת־מַמְלַכְתּֽוֹ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): h֥u yibeneh-bּa֖yit lishshemi֑y vekonanetּi֛y 'et-kּisּe֥ mamelaketּ֖o 'ad-'olaֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.'

ה֥וּא יִבְנֶה־בַּ֖יִת לִשְׁמִ֑י וְכֹנַנְתִּ֛י אֶת־כִּסֵּ֥א מַמְלַכְתּ֖וֹ עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): aniy֙ 'eheyeh-lּ֣o le'a֔b veh֖u yiheyeh-lּi֣y lebe֑n 'ashsher֙ bּeha֣'avot֔o vehoֽkachetּiyv֙ bּeshshe֣bet 'anashshi֔ym ubenige'e֖y bּene֥y 'adaֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with a rod wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands.'

אֲנִי֙ אֶהְיֶה־לּ֣וֹ לְאָ֔ב וְה֖וּא יִהְיֶה־לִּ֣י לְבֵ֑ן אֲשֶׁר֙ בְּהַ֣עֲוֺת֔וֹ וְהֹֽכַחְתִּיו֙ בְּשֵׁ֣בֶט אֲנָשִׁ֔ים וּבְנִגְעֵ֖י בְּנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vechasedּi֖y lo'-yas֣ur mimּe֑nּu kּa'ashshe֤r hasiro֨tiy֙ me'i֣m shsha'֔ul 'ashshe֥r hasiro֖tiy milּepaneֽyka׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'But my love will never be taken away from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you.'

וְחַסְדִּ֖י לֹא־יָס֣וּר מִמֶּ֑נּוּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר הֲסִרֹ֨תִי֙ מֵעִ֣ם שָׁא֔וּל אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֲסִרֹ֖תִי מִלְּפָנֶֽיךָ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vene'ema֨n bּeyteka֧ umaֽmelaketּeka֛ 'ad-'ola֖m lepane֑yka kּiֽse'aka֔ yiheye֥h nak֖on 'ad-'olaֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever.'"

וְנֶאְמַ֨ן בֵּיתְךָ֧ וּמַֽמְלַכְתְּךָ֛ עַד־עוֹלָ֖ם לְפָנֶ֑יךָ כִּֽסְאֲךָ֔ יִהְיֶ֥ה נָכ֖וֹן עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): kּekol֙ hadּebari֣ym ha'e֔lּeh ukeko֖l hachizּay֣on hazּe֑h kּe֛n dּibּe֥r nata֖n 'el-dּaviֽd׃s

Edified Edition (EDE)Nathan reported to David all the words of this entire revelation.

כְּכֹל֙ הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה וּכְכֹ֖ל הַחִזָּי֣וֹן הַזֶּ֑ה כֵּ֛ן דִּבֶּ֥ר נָתָ֖ן אֶל־דָּוִֽד׃ס

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּabo'֙ hamּe֣leke dּavi֔d vayּe֖shsheb lipene֣y yehva֑h vayּo֗'mer mi֣y 'anoki֞y 'adona֤y yehvih֙ umi֣y beyti֔y kּi֥y habiy'ota֖niy 'ad-haloֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said: 'Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house, that you have brought me this far?'

וַיָּבֹא֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ דָּוִ֔ד וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר מִ֣י אָנֹכִ֞י אֲדֹנָ֤י יְהוִה֙ וּמִ֣י בֵיתִ֔י כִּ֥י הֲבִיאֹתַ֖נִי עַד־הֲלֹֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vatּiqetan֩ '֨od zo֤'t bּe'eyne֨yka֙ 'adona֣y yehvi֔h vatּedabּe֛r gּa֥m 'el-bּeֽyt-'abedּeka֖ lemeֽrach֑oq vezo֛'t tּora֥t ha'ada֖m 'adona֥y yehviֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'And as if this were not enough in your sight, O Lord GOD, you have also spoken about the future of the house of your servant. Is this your usual way of dealing with people, O Lord GOD?'

וַתִּקְטַן֩ ע֨וֹד זֹ֤את בְּעֵינֶ֨יךָ֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה וַתְּדַבֵּ֛ר גַּ֥ם אֶל־בֵּֽית־עַבְדְּךָ֖ לְמֵֽרָח֑וֹק וְזֹ֛את תּוֹרַ֥ת הָאָדָ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): umah-yּosi֥yp dּavi֛d '֖od ledabּe֣r 'ele֑yka ve'atּa֛h yada֥'etּa 'eֽt-'abedּeka֖ 'adona֥y yehviֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'What more can David say to you? For you know your servant, O Lord GOD.'

וּמַה־יּוֹסִ֥יף דָּוִ֛ד ע֖וֹד לְדַבֵּ֣ר אֵלֶ֑יךָ וְאַתָּ֛ה יָדַ֥עְתָּ אֶֽת־עַבְדְּךָ֖ אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): bּa'ab֤ur dּebaֽreka֙ uֽkelibּeka֔ 'ashsi֕yta 'e֥t kּal-hagּedulּa֖h hazּo֑'t lehodi֖y'a 'et-'abedּeֽka׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'For the sake of your word and according to your will, you have done all these great things and made them known to your servant.'

בַּעֲב֤וּר דְּבָֽרְךָ֙ וּֽכְלִבְּךָ֔ עָשִׂ֕יתָ אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַגְּדוּלָּ֖ה הַזֹּ֑את לְהוֹדִ֖יעַ אֶת־עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): al-kּe֥n gּada֖letּa 'adona֣y yehvi֑h kּiֽy-'e֣yn kּam֗oka ve'e֤yn 'elohiym֙ zֽulate֔ka bּeko֥l 'ashsher-shshama֖'enu bּe'azeneֽynu׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'How great you are, O the LORD God! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, according to everything we have heard with our own ears.'

עַל־כֵּ֥ן גָּדַ֖לְתָּ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה כִּֽי־אֵ֣ין כָּמ֗וֹךָ וְאֵ֤ין אֱלֹהִים֙ זֽוּלָתֶ֔ךָ בְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־שָׁמַ֖עְנוּ בְּאָזְנֵֽינוּ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): umi֤y ke'amּeka֙ kּeyishsera'e֔l gּ֥oy 'echa֖d bּa'a֑retz 'ashshe֣r halekֽu-'e֠lohiym lipedּֽot-l֨o le'a֜m velashs֧um l֣o shshe֗m vela'ashs֨ot lake֜m hagּedulּa֤h venoֽra'ot֙ le'aretze֔ka mipּene֣y 'amּeka֗ 'ashshe֨r pּadi֤yta lּeka֙ mimּitzera֔yim gּoyi֖m ve'lohaֽyv׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'And who is like your people Israel, the one nation on earth that God went out to redeem as a people for himself, to make a name for himself, and to perform great and awesome wonders by driving out nations and their gods from before your people, whom you redeemed from Egypt?'

וּמִ֤י כְעַמְּךָ֙ כְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל גּ֥וֹי אֶחָ֖ד בָּאָ֑רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָלְכֽוּ־אֱ֠לֹהִים לִפְדּֽוֹת־ל֨וֹ לְעָ֜ם וְלָשׂ֧וּם ל֣וֹ שֵׁ֗ם וְלַעֲשׂ֨וֹת לָכֶ֜ם הַגְּדוּלָּ֤ה וְנֹֽרָאוֹת֙ לְאַרְצֶ֔ךָ מִפְּנֵ֣י עַמְּךָ֗ אֲשֶׁ֨ר פָּדִ֤יתָ לְּךָ֙ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם גּוֹיִ֖ם וֵאלֹהָֽיו׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vatּek֣oneֽn le֠ka 'et-'amּeka֨ yishsera'e֧l ׀ leka֛ le'a֖m 'ad-'ola֑m ve'atּa֣h yehva֔h hayi֥yta lahe֖m le'lohiֽym׃s

Edified Edition (EDE)'You have established your people Israel as your very own forever, and you, the LORD, have become their God.'

וַתְּכ֣וֹנֵֽן לְ֠ךָ אֶת־עַמְּךָ֨ יִשְׂרָאֵ֧ל ׀ לְךָ֛ לְעָ֖ם עַד־עוֹלָ֑ם וְאַתָּ֣ה יְהוָ֔ה הָיִ֥יתָ לָהֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִֽים׃ס

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'atּah֙ yehva֣h 'elohi֔ym hadּaba֗r 'ashshe֨r dּibּa֤retּa 'aֽl-'abedּeka֙ ve'al-bּeyt֔o haqe֖m 'ad-'ola֑m va'ashse֖h kּa'ashshe֥r dּibּaֽretּa׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'And now, the LORD God, keep forever the promise you have made concerning your servant and his house. Do as you promised,'

וְעַתָּה֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהִ֔ים הַדָּבָ֗ר אֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבַּ֤רְתָּ עַֽל־עַבְדְּךָ֙ וְעַל־בֵּית֔וֹ הָקֵ֖ם עַד־עוֹלָ֑ם וַעֲשֵׂ֖ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבַּֽרְתָּ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): veyigedּa֨l shshimeka֤ 'ad-'olam֙ le'mo֔r yehva֣h tzeba'֔ot 'elohi֖ym 'al-yishsera'e֑l ubeyt֙ 'abedּeka֣ davi֔d yiheye֥h nak֖on lepaneֽyka׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'so that your name will be magnified forever and people will say, "The LORD of Armies is God over Israel!" And let the house of your servant David be established before you.'

וְיִגְדַּ֨ל שִׁמְךָ֤ עַד־עוֹלָם֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת אֱלֹהִ֖ים עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּבֵית֙ עַבְדְּךָ֣ דָוִ֔ד יִהְיֶ֥ה נָכ֖וֹן לְפָנֶֽיךָ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): kּiֽy-'atּah֩ yehva֨h tzeba'֜ot 'elohe֣y yishsera'e֗l gּali֜ytah 'et-'o֤zen 'abedּeka֙ le'mo֔r bּa֖yit 'ebeneh-lּa֑ke 'al-kּe֗n matza֤ 'abedּeka֙ 'et-libּ֔o lehitepּalּe֣l 'ele֔yka 'et-hatּepilּa֖h hazּoֽ't׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'the LORD of Armies, God of Israel, you have revealed this to your servant, saying, "I will build a house for you." So your servant has found courage to pray this prayer to you.'

כִּֽי־אַתָּה֩ יְהוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל גָּלִ֜יתָה אֶת־אֹ֤זֶן עַבְדְּךָ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר בַּ֖יִת אֶבְנֶה־לָּ֑ךְ עַל־כֵּ֗ן מָצָ֤א עַבְדְּךָ֙ אֶת־לִבּ֔וֹ לְהִתְפַּלֵּ֣ל אֵלֶ֔יךָ אֶת־הַתְּפִלָּ֖ה הַזֹּֽאת׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'atּa֣h ׀ 'adona֣y yehvi֗h 'atּah-hu'֙ haֽ'elohi֔ym udebare֖yka yihey֣u 'eme֑t vatּedabּer֙ 'eֽl-'abedּeka֔ 'et-hatּoba֖h hazּoֽ't׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'Now, O Lord GOD, you are God! Your words are trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.'

וְעַתָּ֣ה ׀ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֗ה אַתָּה־הוּא֙ הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים וּדְבָרֶ֖יךָ יִהְי֣וּ אֱמֶ֑ת וַתְּדַבֵּר֙ אֶֽל־עַבְדְּךָ֔ אֶת־הַטּוֹבָ֖ה הַזֹּֽאת׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'atּa֗h ho'el֙ ubareke֙ 'et-bּe֣yt 'abedּeka֔ lihey֥ot le'ola֖m lepane֑yka kּiֽy-'atּa֞h 'adona֤y yehvih֙ dּibּa֔retּa umibּireka֣teka֔ yebora֥ke bּeֽyt-'abedּeka֖ le'olaֽm׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)'Now be pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever in your sight; for you, O Lord GOD, have spoken, and with your blessing the house of your servant will be blessed forever.'

וְעַתָּ֗ה הוֹאֵל֙ וּבָרֵךְ֙ אֶת־בֵּ֣ית עַבְדְּךָ֔ לִהְי֥וֹת לְעוֹלָ֖ם לְפָנֶ֑יךָ כִּֽי־אַתָּ֞ה אֲדֹנָ֤י יְהוִה֙ דִּבַּ֔רְתָּ וּמִבִּרְכָ֣תְךָ֔ יְבֹרַ֥ךְ בֵּֽית־עַבְדְּךָ֖ לְעוֹלָֽם׃פ
