Chapter 37

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֧'ashs bּetzale'e֛l 'et-ha'aro֖n 'atze֣y shshitּi֑ym 'amּata֨yim vache֜tziy 'arekּ֗o ve'amּa֤h vache֨tziy֙ rachebּ֔o ve'amּa֥h vache֖tziy qomatֽo׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it:

וַיַּ֧עַשׂ בְּצַלְאֵ֛ל אֶת־הָאָרֹ֖ן עֲצֵ֣י שִׁטִּ֑ים אַמָּתַ֨יִם וָחֵ֜צִי אָרְכּ֗וֹ וְאַמָּ֤ה וָחֵ֨צִי֙ רָחְבּ֔וֹ וְאַמָּ֥ה וָחֵ֖צִי קֹמָתֽוֹ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayetzapּe֛hu zaha֥b tah֖or mibּa֣yit umich֑utz vayּa֥'ashs l֛o ze֥r zaha֖b sabiֽyb׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.

וַיְצַפֵּ֛הוּ זָהָ֥ב טָה֖וֹר מִבַּ֣יִת וּמִח֑וּץ וַיַּ֥עַשׂ ל֛וֹ זֵ֥ר זָהָ֖ב סָבִֽיב׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּitzo֣q l֗o 'arebּa'֙ tabּe'o֣t zaha֔b 'a֖l 'arebּa֣ pּa'amota֑yv ushshetּe֣y tabּa'o֗t 'al-tzale'o֙ haֽ'echa֔t ushshetּey֙ tabּa'֔ot 'al-tzale'֖o hashshּeniֽyt׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it.

וַיִּצֹ֣ק ל֗וֹ אַרְבַּע֙ טַבְּעֹ֣ת זָהָ֔ב עַ֖ל אַרְבַּ֣ע פַּעֲמֹתָ֑יו וּשְׁתֵּ֣י טַבָּעֹ֗ת עַל־צַלְעוֹ֙ הָֽאֶחָ֔ת וּשְׁתֵּי֙ טַבָּע֔וֹת עַל־צַלְע֖וֹ הַשֵּׁנִֽית׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֥'ashs bּadּe֖y 'atze֣y shshitּi֑ym vayetza֥p 'ota֖m zahaֽb׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he made staves of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold.

וַיַּ֥עַשׂ בַּדֵּ֖י עֲצֵ֣י שִׁטִּ֑ים וַיְצַ֥ף אֹתָ֖ם זָהָֽב׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּabe֤ 'et-habּadּiym֙ bּatּabּa'o֔t 'a֖l tzale'o֣t ha'aro֑n lashse֖'t 'et-ha'aroֽn׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.

וַיָּבֵ֤א אֶת־הַבַּדִּים֙ בַּטַּבָּעֹ֔ת עַ֖ל צַלְעֹ֣ת הָאָרֹ֑ן לָשֵׂ֖את אֶת־הָאָרֹֽן׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֥'ashs kּapּo֖ret zaha֣b tah֑or 'amּata֤yim vache֨tziy֙ 'arekּa֔hּ ve'amּa֥h vache֖tziy rachebּaֽhּ׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof.

וַיַּ֥עַשׂ כַּפֹּ֖רֶת זָהָ֣ב טָה֑וֹר אַמָּתַ֤יִם וָחֵ֨צִי֙ אָרְכָּ֔הּ וְאַמָּ֥ה וָחֵ֖צִי רָחְבָּֽהּ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֛'ashs shshene֥y kerubi֖ym zaha֑b miqeshshah֙ 'ashsa֣h 'ota֔m mishshּene֖y qetz֥ot hakּapּoֽret׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he made two cherubim of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;

וַיַּ֛עַשׂ שְׁנֵ֥י כְרֻבִ֖ים זָהָ֑ב מִקְשָׁה֙ עָשָׂ֣ה אֹתָ֔ם מִשְּׁנֵ֖י קְצ֥וֹת הַכַּפֹּֽרֶת׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): kּerub-'echa֤d miqּatzah֙ mizּe֔h ukerub-'echa֥d miqּatza֖h mizּe֑h min-hakּapּo֛ret 'ashsa֥h 'et-hakּerubi֖ym mishshּene֥y qtzvvtv qetzotaֽyv׃

Edified Edition (EDE)One cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the other end on that side: out of the mercy seat made he the cherubim on the two ends thereof.

כְּרוּב־אֶחָ֤ד מִקָּצָה֙ מִזֶּ֔ה וּכְרוּב־אֶחָ֥ד מִקָּצָ֖ה מִזֶּ֑ה מִן־הַכַּפֹּ֛רֶת עָשָׂ֥ה אֶת־הַכְּרֻבִ֖ים מִשְּׁנֵ֥י קצוותו קְצוֹתָֽיו׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּihey֣u hakּerubiym֩ pּoreshse֨y kenapa֜yim lema֗'elah soֽkeki֤ym bּekanepeyhem֙ 'al-hakּapּo֔ret upeneyhe֖m 'i֣yshsh 'el-'achi֑yv 'el-hakּapּo֔ret hay֖u pּene֥y hakּerubiֽym׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)And the cherubim spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubim.

וַיִּהְי֣וּ הַכְּרֻבִים֩ פֹּרְשֵׂ֨י כְנָפַ֜יִם לְמַ֗עְלָה סֹֽכְכִ֤ים בְּכַנְפֵיהֶם֙ עַל־הַכַּפֹּ֔רֶת וּפְנֵיהֶ֖ם אִ֣ישׁ אֶל־אָחִ֑יו אֶל־הַכַּפֹּ֔רֶת הָי֖וּ פְּנֵ֥י הַכְּרֻבִֽים׃פ

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֥'ashs 'et-hashshּulecha֖n 'atze֣y shshitּi֑ym 'amּata֤yim 'arekּo֙ ve'amּa֣h rachebּ֔o ve'amּa֥h vache֖tziy qomatֽo׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he made the table of acacia wood: two cubits was the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof:

וַיַּ֥עַשׂ אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָ֖ן עֲצֵ֣י שִׁטִּ֑ים אַמָּתַ֤יִם אָרְכּוֹ֙ וְאַמָּ֣ה רָחְבּ֔וֹ וְאַמָּ֥ה וָחֵ֖צִי קֹמָתֽוֹ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayetza֥p 'ot֖o zaha֣b tah֑or vayּa֥'ashs l֛o ze֥r zaha֖b sabiֽyb׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made thereunto a crown of gold round about.

וַיְצַ֥ף אֹת֖וֹ זָהָ֣ב טָה֑וֹר וַיַּ֥עַשׂ ל֛וֹ זֵ֥ר זָהָ֖ב סָבִֽיב׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֨'ashs l֥o misegּe֛ret to֖pach sabi֑yb vayּa֧'ashs zer-zaha֛b lemisegּaretּ֖o sabiֽyb׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Also he made thereunto a border of an handbreadth round about; and made a crown of gold for the border thereof round about.

וַיַּ֨עַשׂ ל֥וֹ מִסְגֶּ֛רֶת טֹ֖פַח סָבִ֑יב וַיַּ֧עַשׂ זֵר־זָהָ֛ב לְמִסְגַּרְתּ֖וֹ סָבִֽיב׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּitzo֣q l֔o 'arebּa֖ tabּe'o֣t zaha֑b vayּitּen֙ 'et-hatּabּa'o֔t 'a֚l 'arebּa֣ hapּe'o֔t 'ashshe֖r le'arebּa֥ ragelaֽyv׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he cast for it four rings of gold, and put the rings upon the four corners that were in the four feet thereof.

וַיִּצֹ֣ק ל֔וֹ אַרְבַּ֖ע טַבְּעֹ֣ת זָהָ֑ב וַיִּתֵּן֙ אֶת־הַטַּבָּעֹ֔ת עַ֚ל אַרְבַּ֣ע הַפֵּאֹ֔ת אֲשֶׁ֖ר לְאַרְבַּ֥ע רַגְלָֽיו׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): le'umּat֙ hamּisegּe֔ret hay֖u hatּabּa'o֑t bּatּiym֙ labּadּi֔ym lashse֖'t 'et-hashshּulechaֽn׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Over against the border were the rings, the places for the staves to bear the table.

לְעֻמַּת֙ הַמִּסְגֶּ֔רֶת הָי֖וּ הַטַּבָּעֹ֑ת בָּתִּים֙ לַבַּדִּ֔ים לָשֵׂ֖את אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָֽן׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֤'ashs 'et-habּadּiym֙ 'atze֣y shshitּi֔ym vayetza֥p 'ota֖m zaha֑b lashse֖'t 'et-hashshּulechaֽn׃

וַיַּ֤עַשׂ אֶת־הַבַּדִּים֙ עֲצֵ֣י שִׁטִּ֔ים וַיְצַ֥ף אֹתָ֖ם זָהָ֑ב לָשֵׂ֖את אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָֽן׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֜'ashs 'eֽt-hakּeli֣ym ׀ 'ashshe֣r 'al-hashshּulecha֗n 'et-qe'arota֤yv ve'et-kּapּotayv֙ ve'et֙ menaqּiyּota֔yv ve'et-haqּeshsavo֔t 'ashshe֥r yusּa֖ke bּahe֑n zaha֖b tahֽor׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)And he made the vessels which were upon the table, its dishes, and its spoons, and its bowls, and its covers to cover withal, of pure gold.

וַיַּ֜עַשׂ אֶֽת־הַכֵּלִ֣ים ׀ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עַל־הַשֻּׁלְחָ֗ן אֶת־קְעָרֹתָ֤יו וְאֶת־כַּפֹּתָיו֙ וְאֵת֙ מְנַקִּיֹּתָ֔יו וְאֶת־הַקְּשָׂוֺ֔ת אֲשֶׁ֥ר יֻסַּ֖ךְ בָּהֵ֑ן זָהָ֖ב טָהֽוֹר׃פ

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֥'ashs 'et-hamּenora֖h zaha֣b tah֑or miqeshsha֞h 'ashsa֤h 'et-hamּenorah֙ yereka֣hּ veqana֔hּ gּebiy'e֛yha kּapetּore֥yha uperache֖yha mimּe֥nּah hayֽu׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he made the lampstand of pure gold: of beaten work made he the lampstand; its shaft, and its branch, its bowls, its knops, and its flowers, were of the same:

וַיַּ֥עַשׂ אֶת־הַמְּנֹרָ֖ה זָהָ֣ב טָה֑וֹר מִקְשָׁ֞ה עָשָׂ֤ה אֶת־הַמְּנֹרָה֙ יְרֵכָ֣הּ וְקָנָ֔הּ גְּבִיעֶ֛יהָ כַּפְתֹּרֶ֥יהָ וּפְרָחֶ֖יהָ מִמֶּ֥נָּה הָיֽוּ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): veshshishshּa֣h qani֔ym yotze'i֖ym mitzּidּe֑yha shsheloshsha֣h ׀ qene֣y menora֗h mitzּidּahּ֙ haֽ'echa֔d ushsheloshshah֙ qene֣y menora֔h mitzּidּa֖hּ hashshּeniֽy׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And six branches going out of the sides thereof; three branches of the lampstand out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side thereof:

וְשִׁשָּׁ֣ה קָנִ֔ים יֹצְאִ֖ים מִצִּדֶּ֑יהָ שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה ׀ קְנֵ֣י מְנֹרָ֗ה מִצִּדָּהּ֙ הָֽאֶחָ֔ד וּשְׁלֹשָׁה֙ קְנֵ֣י מְנֹרָ֔ה מִצִּדָּ֖הּ הַשֵּׁנִֽי׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): shsheloshsha֣h ge֠bi'iym meֽshshuqּadi֞ym bּaqּane֣h ha'echad֮ kּapetּo֣r vaperach֒ ushsheloshsha֣h gebi'i֗ym meshshuqּadi֛ym bּeqane֥h 'echa֖d kּapetּo֣r vapa֑rach kּe֚n leshshe֣shshet haqּani֔ym hayּotze'i֖ym min-hamּenoraֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Three bowls made after the fashion of almonds in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three bowls made like almonds in another branch, a knop and a flower: so throughout the six branches going out of the lampstand.

שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה גְ֠בִעִים מְֽשֻׁקָּדִ֞ים בַּקָּנֶ֣ה הָאֶחָד֮ כַּפְתֹּ֣ר וָפֶרַח֒ וּשְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה גְבִעִ֗ים מְשֻׁקָּדִ֛ים בְּקָנֶ֥ה אֶחָ֖ד כַּפְתֹּ֣ר וָפָ֑רַח כֵּ֚ן לְשֵׁ֣שֶׁת הַקָּנִ֔ים הַיֹּצְאִ֖ים מִן־הַמְּנֹרָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ubamּenora֖h 'arebּa'a֣h gebi'i֑ym meshshu֨qּadi֔ym kּapetּore֖yha uperacheֽyha׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And in the lampstand were four bowls made like almonds, its knops, and its flowers:

וּבַמְּנֹרָ֖ה אַרְבָּעָ֣ה גְבִעִ֑ים מְשֻׁ֨קָּדִ֔ים כַּפְתֹּרֶ֖יהָ וּפְרָחֶֽיהָ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vekapetּo֡r tּachat֩ shshene֨y haqּani֜ym mimּe֗nּah vekapetּor֙ tּa֣chat shshene֤y haqּaniym֙ mimּe֔nּah vekapetּo֕r tּaֽchat-shshene֥y haqּani֖ym mimּe֑nּah leshshe֨shshet֙ haqּani֔ym hayּotze'i֖ym mimּeֽnּah׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches going out of it.

וְכַפְתֹּ֡ר תַּחַת֩ שְׁנֵ֨י הַקָּנִ֜ים מִמֶּ֗נָּה וְכַפְתֹּר֙ תַּ֣חַת שְׁנֵ֤י הַקָּנִים֙ מִמֶּ֔נָּה וְכַפְתֹּ֕ר תַּֽחַת־שְׁנֵ֥י הַקָּנִ֖ים מִמֶּ֑נָּה לְשֵׁ֨שֶׁת֙ הַקָּנִ֔ים הַיֹּצְאִ֖ים מִמֶּֽנָּה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): kּapetּoreyhe֥m uqenota֖m mimּe֣nּah hay֑u kּulּa֛hּ miqeshsha֥h 'acha֖t zaha֥b tahֽor׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Their knops and their branches were of the same: all of it was one beaten work of pure gold.

כַּפְתֹּרֵיהֶ֥ם וּקְנֹתָ֖ם מִמֶּ֣נָּה הָי֑וּ כֻּלָּ֛הּ מִקְשָׁ֥ה אַחַ֖ת זָהָ֥ב טָהֽוֹר׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֥'ashs 'et-nerote֖yha shshibe'a֑h umaleqache֥yha umachetּote֖yha zaha֥b tahֽor׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he made its seven lamps, and its snuffers, and its snuffdishes, of pure gold.

וַיַּ֥עַשׂ אֶת־נֵרֹתֶ֖יהָ שִׁבְעָ֑ה וּמַלְקָחֶ֥יהָ וּמַחְתֹּתֶ֖יהָ זָהָ֥ב טָהֽוֹר׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): kּikּa֛r zaha֥b tah֖or 'ashsa֣h 'ota֑hּ ve'e֖t kּal-kּeleֽyha׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)Of a talent of pure gold made he it, and all the vessels thereof.

כִּכָּ֛ר זָהָ֥ב טָה֖וֹר עָשָׂ֣ה אֹתָ֑הּ וְאֵ֖ת כָּל־כֵּלֶֽיהָ׃פ

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֛'ashs 'et-mizebּa֥ch haqּeto֖ret 'atze֣y shshitּi֑ym 'amּa֣h 'arekּo֩ ve'amּa֨h rachebּ֜o rab֗u'a ve'amּata֨yim֙ qoֽmat֔o mimּe֖nּu hay֥u qarenotaֽyv׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he made the incense altar of acacia wood: the length of it was a cubit, and the breadth of it a cubit; it was foursquare; and two cubits was the height of it; the horns thereof were of the same.

וַיַּ֛עַשׂ אֶת־מִזְבַּ֥ח הַקְּטֹ֖רֶת עֲצֵ֣י שִׁטִּ֑ים אַמָּ֣ה אָרְכּוֹ֩ וְאַמָּ֨ה רָחְבּ֜וֹ רָב֗וּעַ וְאַמָּתַ֨יִם֙ קֹֽמָת֔וֹ מִמֶּ֖נּוּ הָי֥וּ קַרְנֹתָֽיו׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayetza֨p 'ot֜o zaha֣b tah֗or 'et-gּagּ֧o ve'et-qiyrota֛yv sabi֖yb ve'et-qarenota֑yv vayּa֥'ashs l֛o ze֥r zaha֖b sabiֽyb׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns of it: also he made unto it a crown of gold round about.

וַיְצַ֨ף אֹת֜וֹ זָהָ֣ב טָה֗וֹר אֶת־גַּגּ֧וֹ וְאֶת־קִירֹתָ֛יו סָבִ֖יב וְאֶת־קַרְנֹתָ֑יו וַיַּ֥עַשׂ ל֛וֹ זֵ֥ר זָהָ֖ב סָבִֽיב׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ushshetּey֩ tabּe'o֨t zaha֜b 'aֽshsah-l֣o ׀ mitּa֣chat lezer֗o 'a֚l shshetּe֣y tzale'ota֔yv 'a֖l shshene֣y tzidּa֑yv lebatּi֣ym lebadּi֔ym lashse֥'t 'ot֖o bּaheֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he made two rings of gold for it under the crown thereof, by the two corners of it, upon the two sides thereof, to be places for the staves to bear it withal.

וּשְׁתֵּי֩ טַבְּעֹ֨ת זָהָ֜ב עָֽשָׂה־ל֣וֹ ׀ מִתַּ֣חַת לְזֵר֗וֹ עַ֚ל שְׁתֵּ֣י צַלְעֹתָ֔יו עַ֖ל שְׁנֵ֣י צִדָּ֑יו לְבָתִּ֣ים לְבַדִּ֔ים לָשֵׂ֥את אֹת֖וֹ בָּהֶֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֥'ashs 'et-habּadּi֖ym 'atze֣y shshitּi֑ym vayetza֥p 'ota֖m zahaֽb׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And he made the staves of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold.

וַיַּ֥עַשׂ אֶת־הַבַּדִּ֖ים עֲצֵ֣י שִׁטִּ֑ים וַיְצַ֥ף אֹתָ֖ם זָהָֽב׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֜'ashs 'et-shshe֤men hamּishshechah֙ qo֔deshsh ve'et-qeto֥ret hasּamּi֖ym tah֑or ma'ashse֖h roqeֽcha׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.

וַיַּ֜עַשׂ אֶת־שֶׁ֤מֶן הַמִּשְׁחָה֙ קֹ֔דֶשׁ וְאֶת־קְטֹ֥רֶת הַסַּמִּ֖ים טָה֑וֹר מַעֲשֵׂ֖ה רֹקֵֽחַ׃פ
