Chapter 21

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayehi֥y debar-yehva֖h 'ela֥y le'moֽr׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): bּen-'ada֗m shsi֤ym pּane֨yka֙ dּe֣reke tּeyma֔nah vehatּe֖p 'el-dּar֑om vehinּabe֛ 'el-ya֥'ar hashsּade֖h neֽgeb׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, and drop your word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,"

בֶּן־אָדָ֗ם שִׂ֤ים פָּנֶ֨יךָ֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ תֵּימָ֔נָה וְהַטֵּ֖ף אֶל־דָּר֑וֹם וְהִנָּבֵ֛א אֶל־יַ֥עַר הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה נֶֽגֶב׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'aֽmaretּa֙ leya֣'ar hanּe֔geb shshema֖ dּebar-yehva֑h kּoֽh-'ama֣r 'adona֣y yehvi֡h hineni֣y maֽtzּiyt-bּeka֣ ׀ 'e֡shsh ve'akela֣h beka֣ kal-'eֽtz-lach֩ vekal-'e֨tz yabe֤shsh loֽ'-tikebּeh֙ lahe֣bet shshalehe֔bet venitzerebu-ba֥hּ kּal-pּani֖ym minּe֥geb tzapֽonah׃

Edified Edition (EDE)And say to the land of Israel, "Thus says the LORD; 'Behold, I am against you, and will draw forth My sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked.'"

וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ לְיַ֣עַר הַנֶּ֔גֶב שְׁמַ֖ע דְּבַר־יְהוָ֑ה כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֡ה הִנְנִ֣י מַֽצִּית־בְּךָ֣ ׀ אֵ֡שׁ וְאָכְלָ֣ה בְךָ֣ כָל־עֵֽץ־לַח֩ וְכָל־עֵ֨ץ יָבֵ֤שׁ לֹֽא־תִכְבֶּה֙ לַהֶ֣בֶת שַׁלְהֶ֔בֶת וְנִצְרְבוּ־בָ֥הּ כָּל־פָּנִ֖ים מִנֶּ֥גֶב צָפֽוֹנָה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vera'u֙ kּal-bּashsa֔r kּi֛y 'ani֥y yehva֖h bּiֽ'aretּi֑yha lo֖ tּikebּeֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"Seeing then that I will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall My sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:"

וְרָאוּ֙ כָּל־בָּשָׂ֔ר כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה בִּֽעַרְתִּ֑יהָ לֹ֖א תִּכְבֶּֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): va'oma֕r 'aha֖hּ 'adona֣y yehvi֑h he֚mּah 'omeri֣ym li֔y halo֛ memashshּe֥l meshshali֖ym hֽu'׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)"That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth My sword out of his sheath: it shall not return anymore."

וָאֹמַ֕ר אֲהָ֖הּ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה הֵ֚מָּה אֹמְרִ֣ים לִ֔י הֲלֹ֛א מְמַשֵּׁ֥ל מְשָׁלִ֖ים הֽוּא׃פ

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayehi֥y debar-yehva֖h 'ela֥y le'moֽr׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"Sigh therefore, you son of man, with the breaking of your loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes."

וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): bּen-'ada֗m shsi֤ym pּane֨yka֙ 'el-yer֣ushshalai֔m vehatּe֖p 'el-miqedּashshi֑ym vehinּabe֖ 'el-'adema֥t yishsera'eֽl׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"And it shall be, when they say to you, 'Wherefore sighest you?' that you shall answer, 'For the tidings; because it comes: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it comes, and shall be brought to pass,'" says the Lord GOD.

בֶּן־אָדָ֗ם שִׂ֤ים פָּנֶ֨יךָ֙ אֶל־יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם וְהַטֵּ֖ף אֶל־מִקְדָּשִׁ֑ים וְהִנָּבֵ֖א אֶל־אַדְמַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'amaretּa֞ le'adema֣t yishsera'e֗l kּo֚h 'ama֣r yehva֔h hineni֣y 'ela֔yike vehotze'ti֥y charebּi֖y mitּa'era֑hּ vehikeratּi֥y mimּe֖ke tzadּi֥yq verashshaֽ'׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

וְאָמַרְתָּ֞ לְאַדְמַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה הִנְנִ֣י אֵלַ֔יִךְ וְהוֹצֵאתִ֥י חַרְבִּ֖י מִתַּעְרָ֑הּ וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י מִמֵּ֖ךְ צַדִּ֥יק וְרָשָֽׁע׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ya֛'an 'ashsher-hikera֥tּiy mimּe֖ke tzadּi֣yq verashsha֑ la֠ken tּetze֨ charebּi֧y mitּa'era֛hּ 'el-kּal-bּashsa֖r minּe֥geb tzapֽon׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the LORD; Say, 'A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished:'"

יַ֛עַן אֲשֶׁר־הִכְרַ֥תִּי מִמֵּ֖ךְ צַדִּ֣יק וְרָשָׁ֑ע לָ֠כֵן תֵּצֵ֨א חַרְבִּ֧י מִתַּעְרָ֛הּ אֶל־כָּל־בָּשָׂ֖ר מִנֶּ֥גֶב צָפֽוֹן׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): veyaֽde'u֙ kּal-bּashsa֔r kּi֚y 'ani֣y yehva֔h hotze֥'tiy charebּi֖y mitּa'era֑hּ lo֥ tashsh֖ub 'ֽod׃s

Edified Edition (EDE)"'It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth? it contemns the rod of My son, as every tree.'"

וְיָֽדְעוּ֙ כָּל־בָּשָׂ֔ר כִּ֚י אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֔ה הוֹצֵ֥אתִי חַרְבִּ֖י מִתַּעְרָ֑הּ לֹ֥א תָשׁ֖וּב עֽוֹד׃ס

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'atּa֥h ben-'ada֖m heֽ'ana֑ch bּeshshiber֤on matena֨yim֙ ubimeriyr֔ut tּeֽ'ana֖ch le'eyneyheֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"And He has given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer."

וְאַתָּ֥ה בֶן־אָדָ֖ם הֵֽאָנַ֑ח בְּשִׁבְר֤וֹן מָתְנַ֨יִם֙ וּבִמְרִיר֔וּת תֵּֽאָנַ֖ח לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vehayah֙ kּiֽy-yo'mer֣u 'ele֔yka 'al-ma֖h 'atּa֣h ne'ena֑ch ve'amaretּa֡ 'el-shshemu'a֣h kiֽy-ba'a֡h vename֣s kּal-leb֩ verap֨u kal-yada֜yim vekihata֣h kal-r֗ucha vekal-bּirekּa֨yim֙ tּela֣kenah mּa֔yim hinּe֤h ba'ah֙ veniֽheya֔tah ne'u֖m 'adona֥y yehviֽh׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)"Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon My people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon My people: smite therefore upon your thigh."

וְהָיָה֙ כִּֽי־יֹאמְר֣וּ אֵלֶ֔יךָ עַל־מָ֖ה אַתָּ֣ה נֶאֱנָ֑ח וְאָמַרְתָּ֡ אֶל־שְׁמוּעָ֣ה כִֽי־בָאָ֡ה וְנָמֵ֣ס כָּל־לֵב֩ וְרָפ֨וּ כָל־יָדַ֜יִם וְכִהֲתָ֣ה כָל־ר֗וּחַ וְכָל־בִּרְכַּ֨יִם֙ תֵּלַ֣כְנָה מַּ֔יִם הִנֵּ֤ה בָאָה֙ וְנִֽהְיָ֔תָה נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃פ

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayehi֥y debar-yehva֖h 'ela֥y le'moֽr׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more," says the Lord GOD.

וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): bּen-'ada֕m hinּabe'֙ ve'a֣maretּa֔ kּo֖h 'ama֣r 'adona֑y 'emo֕r che֥reb che֛reb hucha֖dּah vegam-merutaֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"You therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite your hands together, and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men that are slain, which enters into their privy chambers."

בֶּן־אָדָ֕ם הִנָּבֵא֙ וְאָ֣מַרְתָּ֔ כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר אֲדֹנָ֑י אֱמֹ֕ר חֶ֥רֶב חֶ֛רֶב הוּחַ֖דָּה וְגַם־מְרוּטָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): lema֨'an tebo֤cha te֨bach֙ hucha֔dּah lema'an-heyeh-la֥hּ bּa֖raq mora֑tּah '֣o nashsi֔yshs shshe֥bet bּeni֖y mo'e֥set kּal-'eֽtz׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may faint, and their ruins be multiplied: ah! it is made glittering, it is wrapped up for the slaughter."

לְמַ֨עַן טְבֹ֤חַ טֶ֨בַח֙ הוּחַ֔דָּה לְמַעַן־הֱיֵה־לָ֥הּ בָּ֖רָק מֹרָ֑טָּה א֣וֹ נָשִׂ֔ישׂ שֵׁ֥בֶט בְּנִ֖י מֹאֶ֥סֶת כָּל־עֵֽץ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּitּe֥n 'ota֛hּ lemareta֖h litepּo֣shs bּakּa֑p hiֽy'-hucha֤dּah che֨reb֙ vehi֣y mora֔tּah late֥t 'ota֖hּ bּeyad-horeֽg׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"Go you one way or other, either on the right hand, or on the left, wherever your face is set."

וַיִּתֵּ֥ן אֹתָ֛הּ לְמָרְטָ֖ה לִתְפֹּ֣שׂ בַּכָּ֑ף הִֽיא־הוּחַ֤דָּה חֶ֨רֶב֙ וְהִ֣יא מֹרָ֔טָּה לָתֵ֥ת אוֹתָ֖הּ בְּיַד־הוֹרֵֽג׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ze'a֤q veheylel֙ bּen-'ada֔m kּiy-hiy'֙ hayta֣h be'amּi֔y hi֖y bּekal-neshsiy'e֣y yishsera'e֑l megure֤y 'el-che֨reb֙ hay֣u 'et-'amּi֔y lake֖n sepo֥q 'el-yareֽke׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"I will also smite Mine hands together, and I will cause My fury to rest: I the LORD have said it."

זְעַ֤ק וְהֵילֵל֙ בֶּן־אָדָ֔ם כִּי־הִיא֙ הָיתָ֣ה בְעַמִּ֔י הִ֖יא בְּכָל־נְשִׂיאֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מְגוּרֵ֤י אֶל־חֶ֨רֶב֙ הָי֣וּ אֶת־עַמִּ֔י לָכֵ֖ן סְפֹ֥ק אֶל־יָרֵֽךְ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): kּi֣y bo֔chan uma֕h 'im-gּam-shshe֥bet mo'e֖set lo֣ yiֽheye֑h ne'u֖m 'adona֥y yehviֽh׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)The word of the LORD came to me again, saying,

כִּ֣י בֹ֔חַן וּמָ֕ה אִם־גַּם־שֵׁ֥בֶט מֹאֶ֖סֶת לֹ֣א יִֽהְיֶ֑ה נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃פ

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'atּa֣h ben-'ada֔m hinּabe֕ veha֖ke kּa֣p 'el-kּa֑p vetikּape֞l che֤reb shsheliyshshi֨tah֙ che֣reb chalali֔ym hi֗y che֚reb chala֣l hagּad֔ol hachode֖ret laheֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"Also, you son of man, appoint you two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose you a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city."

וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֔ם הִנָּבֵ֕א וְהַ֖ךְ כַּ֣ף אֶל־כָּ֑ף וְתִכָּפֵ֞ל חֶ֤רֶב שְׁלִישִׁ֨תָה֙ חֶ֣רֶב חֲלָלִ֔ים הִ֗יא חֶ֚רֶב חָלָ֣ל הַגָּד֔וֹל הַחֹדֶ֖רֶת לָהֶֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): lema֣'an ׀ lam֣ug le֗b veharebּeh֙ hamּikeshsholi֔ym 'a֚l kּal-shsha֣'areyhe֔m nata֖tּiy 'ibechat-cha֑reb 'a֛ch 'ashsuya֥h lebara֖q me'utּa֥h letaֽbach׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced."

לְמַ֣עַן ׀ לָמ֣וּג לֵ֗ב וְהַרְבֵּה֙ הַמִּכְשֹׁלִ֔ים עַ֚ל כָּל־שַׁ֣עֲרֵיהֶ֔ם נָתַ֖תִּי אִבְחַת־חָ֑רֶב אָ֛ח עֲשׂוּיָ֥ה לְבָרָ֖ק מְעֻטָּ֥ה לְטָֽבַח׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): hite'achadi֥y heymi֖niy hashsi֣ymiy hashsemi֑yliy 'a֖nah pּana֥yike mu'adֽot׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver."

הִתְאַחֲדִ֥י הֵימִ֖נִי הָשִׂ֣ימִי הַשְׂמִ֑ילִי אָ֖נָה פָּנַ֥יִךְ מֻעָדֽוֹת׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vegam-'ani֗y 'akּe֤h kapּiy֙ 'el-kּapּi֔y vahanichoti֖y chamati֑y 'ani֥y yehva֖h dּibּaֽretּiy׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)"At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort."

וְגַם־אֲנִ֗י אַכֶּ֤ה כַפִּי֙ אֶל־כַּפִּ֔י וַהֲנִחֹתִ֖י חֲמָתִ֑י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה דִּבַּֽרְתִּי׃פ

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayehi֥y debar-yehva֖h 'ela֥y le'moֽr׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"And it shall be to them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken."

וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'atּa֨h ben-'ada֜m shsiym-leka֣ ׀ shshena֣yim dּeraki֗ym labo'֙ che֣reb meֽleke-bּabe֔l me'e֥retz 'echa֖d yetze'֣u shsheneyhe֑m veya֣d bּare֔ bּero֥'shsh dּeֽreke-'i֖yr bּareֽ'׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; "Because you have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that you are come to remembrance, you shall be taken with the hand."

וְאַתָּ֨ה בֶן־אָדָ֜ם שִׂים־לְךָ֣ ׀ שְׁנַ֣יִם דְּרָכִ֗ים לָבוֹא֙ חֶ֣רֶב מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֔ל מֵאֶ֥רֶץ אֶחָ֖ד יֵצְא֣וּ שְׁנֵיהֶ֑ם וְיָ֣ד בָּרֵ֔א בְּרֹ֥אשׁ דֶּֽרֶךְ־עִ֖יר בָּרֵֽא׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): dּe֣reke tּashsi֔ym lab֣o che֔reb 'e֖t rabּa֣t bּeneֽy-'amּ֑on ve'et-yehuda֥h biyrushshala֖im bּetzuraֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"And you, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end,"

דֶּ֣רֶךְ תָּשִׂ֔ים לָב֣וֹא חֶ֔רֶב אֵ֖ת רַבַּ֣ת בְּנֵֽי־עַמּ֑וֹן וְאֶת־יְהוּדָ֥ה בִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם בְּצוּרָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): kּiֽy-'ama֨d meleke-bּabe֜l 'el-'e֣m hadּe֗reke bּero֛'shsh shshene֥y hadּeraki֖ym liqesam-qa֑sem qileqa֤l bּaֽchitzּiym֙ shsha'a֣l bּatּerapi֔ym ra'a֖h bּakּabeֽd׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Thus says the Lord GOD; "Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high."

כִּֽי־עָמַ֨ד מֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֜ל אֶל־אֵ֣ם הַדֶּ֗רֶךְ בְּרֹ֛אשׁ שְׁנֵ֥י הַדְּרָכִ֖ים לִקְסָם־קָ֑סֶם קִלְקַ֤ל בַּֽחִצִּים֙ שָׁאַ֣ל בַּתְּרָפִ֔ים רָאָ֖ה בַּכָּבֵֽד׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): bּiֽymiyn֞o haya֣h ׀ haqּe֣sem yerushshalai֗m lashs֤um kּariym֙ lipetּo֤cha pּeh֙ bּere֔tzach lehari֥ym q֖ol bּiteru'a֑h lashs֤um kּariym֙ 'al-shshe'ari֔ym lishshepּo֥ke solela֖h liben֥ot dּayeֽq׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until He come whose right it is; and I will give it Him."

בִּֽימִינ֞וֹ הָיָ֣ה ׀ הַקֶּ֣סֶם יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם לָשׂ֤וּם כָּרִים֙ לִפְתֹּ֤חַ פֶּה֙ בְּרֶ֔צַח לְהָרִ֥ים ק֖וֹל בִּתְרוּעָ֑ה לָשׂ֤וּם כָּרִים֙ עַל־שְׁעָרִ֔ים לִשְׁפֹּ֥ךְ סֹלְלָ֖ה לִבְנ֥וֹת דָּיֵֽק׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vehaya֨h lahe֤m kqsvm kּiqesam-shshave'֙ bּe'e֣yneyhe֔m shshebu'e֥y shshebu'֖ot lahe֑m vehֽu'-mazekּi֥yr 'avo֖n lehitּapeֽshs׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)"And you, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say you, 'The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering:'"

וְהָיָ֨ה לָהֶ֤ם כקסום כִּקְסָם־שָׁוְא֙ בְּעֵ֣ינֵיהֶ֔ם שְׁבֻעֵ֥י שְׁבֻע֖וֹת לָהֶ֑ם וְהֽוּא־מַזְכִּ֥יר עָוֺ֖ן לְהִתָּפֵֽשׂ׃פ

Phonetic (Hebrew): lake֗n kּoֽh-'amar֮ 'adona֣y yehvih֒ ya֗'an hazekּarekem֙ 'avo֣neke֔m bּehigּal֣ot pּishshe'eyke֗m leheֽra'ot֙ chatּo֣'vteyke֔m bּeko֖l 'aliylֽoteyke֑m ya֚'an hizּa֣kereke֔m bּakּa֖p tּitּapeֽshsu׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)"Whiles they see vanity to you, whiles they divine a lie to you, to bring you upon the necks of them that are slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when their iniquity shall have an end."

לָכֵ֗ן כֹּֽה־אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒ יַ֗עַן הַזְכַּרְכֶם֙ עֲוֺ֣נְכֶ֔ם בְּהִגָּל֣וֹת פִּשְׁעֵיכֶ֗ם לְהֵֽרָאוֹת֙ חַטֹּ֣אותֵיכֶ֔ם בְּכֹ֖ל עֲלִילֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם יַ֚עַן הִזָּ֣כֶרְכֶ֔ם בַּכַּ֖ף תִּתָּפֵֽשׂוּ׃פ

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'atּah֙ chala֣l rashsha֔ neshsi֖y yishsera'e֑l 'ashsher-bּa֣ yom֔o bּe'e֖t 'avo֥n qeֽtz׃s

Edified Edition (EDE)"Shall I cause it to return into his sheath? I will judge you in the place where you was created, in the land of your nativity."

וְאַתָּה֙ חָלָ֣ל רָשָׁ֔ע נְשִׂ֖יא יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֣א יוֹמ֔וֹ בְּעֵ֖ת עֲוֺ֥ן קֵֽץ׃ס

Phonetic (Hebrew): kּo֤h 'amar֙ 'adona֣y yehvi֔h hasiyr֙ hamּitzene֔pet vehari֖ym haֽ'atara֑h zo֣'t lo'-zo֔'t hashshּapa֣lah hagebּe֔ha vehagּabo֖ha hashshepּiֽyl׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"And I will pour out Mine indignation upon you, I will blow against you in the fire of My wrath, and deliver you into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy."

כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה הָסִיר֙ הַמִּצְנֶ֔פֶת וְהָרִ֖ים הָֽעֲטָרָ֑ה זֹ֣את לֹא־זֹ֔את הַשָּׁפָ֣לָה הַגְבֵּ֔הַ וְהַגָּבֹ֖הַ הַשְׁפִּֽיל׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): aua֥h 'aua֖h 'aua֣h 'ashsiyme֑nּah gּam-zo't֙ lo֣ haya֔h 'ad-bּo֛ 'ashsher-l֥o hamּishshepּa֖t unetatּiֽyv׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)"You shall be for fuel to the fire; your blood shall be in the midst of the land; you shall be no more remembered: for I the LORD have spoken it."

עַוָּ֥ה עַוָּ֖ה עַוָּ֣ה אֲשִׂימֶ֑נָּה גַּם־זֹאת֙ לֹ֣א הָיָ֔ה עַד־בֹּ֛א אֲשֶׁר־ל֥וֹ הַמִּשְׁפָּ֖ט וּנְתַתִּֽיו׃פ

וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֗ם הִנָּבֵ֤א וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהֹוִ֔ה אֶל־בְּנֵ֥י עַמּ֖וֹן וְאֶל־חֶרְפָּתָ֑ם וְאָמַרְתָּ֗ חֶ֣רֶב חֶ֤רֶב פְּתוּחָה֙ לְטֶ֣בַח מְרוּטָ֔ה לְהָכִ֖יל לְמַ֥עַן בָּרָֽק׃

בַּחֲז֥וֹת לָךְ֙ שָׁ֔וְא בִּקְסָם־לָ֖ךְ כָּזָ֑ב לָתֵ֣ת אוֹתָ֗ךְ אֶֽל־צַוְּארֵי֙ חַֽלְלֵ֣י רְשָׁעִ֔ים אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֣א יוֹמָ֔ם בְּעֵ֖ת עֲוֺ֥ן קֵֽץ׃

הָשַׁ֖ב אֶל־תַּעְרָ֑הּ בִּמְק֧וֹם אֲשֶׁר־נִבְרֵ֛את בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מְכֻרוֹתַ֖יִךְ אֶשְׁפֹּ֥ט אֹתָֽךְ׃

וְשָׁפַכְתִּ֤י עָלַ֨יִךְ֙ זַעְמִ֔י בְּאֵ֥שׁ עֶבְרָתִ֖י אָפִ֣יחַ עָלָ֑יִךְ וּנְתַתִּ֗יךְ בְּיַד֙ אֲנָשִׁ֣ים בֹּֽעֲרִ֔ים חָרָשֵׁ֖י מַשְׁחִֽית׃

לָאֵ֤שׁ תִּֽהְיֶה֙ לְאָכְלָ֔ה דָּמֵ֥ךְ יִהְיֶ֖ה בְּת֣וֹךְ הָאָ֑רֶץ לֹ֣א תִזָּכֵ֔רִי כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה דִּבַּֽרְתִּי׃פ
