Chapter 36

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'e֛lּeh tּoled֥ot 'eshsa֖v h֥u 'edֽom׃

Edified Edition (EDE)These are the generations of Esau (that is, Edom).

וְאֵ֛לֶּה תֹּלְד֥וֹת עֵשָׂ֖ו ה֥וּא אֱדֽוֹם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): eshsa֛v laqa֥ch 'et-nashsha֖yv mibּen֣ot kּena֑'an 'et-'ada֗h bּat-'eylon֙ haֽchitּi֔y ve'et-'aholiֽybamah֙ bּat-'ana֔h bּat-tzibe'֖on hֽachiuiֽy׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Esau took his wives from the women of Canaan: Adah daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon the Hivite,

עֵשָׂ֛ו לָקַ֥ח אֶת־נָשָׁ֖יו מִבְּנ֣וֹת כְּנָ֑עַן אֶת־עָדָ֗ה בַּת־אֵילוֹן֙ הַֽחִתִּ֔י וְאֶת־אָהֳלִֽיבָמָה֙ בַּת־עֲנָ֔ה בַּת־צִבְע֖וֹן הַֽחִוִּֽי׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'et-bּashsema֥t bּat-yishshema'e֖'l 'ach֥ot nebayֽot׃

Edified Edition (EDE)also Basemath daughter of Ishmael and sister of Nebaioth.

וְאֶת־בָּשְׂמַ֥ת בַּת־יִשְׁמָעֵ֖אל אֲח֥וֹת נְבָיֽוֹת׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vatּe֧led 'ada֛h le'eshsa֖v 'et-'eliypa֑z uba֣shsema֔t yaleda֖h 'et-re'u'eֽl׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, Basemath bore Reuel,

וַתֵּ֧לֶד עָדָ֛ה לְעֵשָׂ֖ו אֶת־אֱלִיפָ֑ז וּבָ֣שְׂמַ֔ת יָלְדָ֖ה אֶת־רְעוּאֵֽל׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'aholiֽybamah֙ yaֽleda֔h 'et-y'ysh ye'֥ushsh ve'et-ya'ela֖m ve'et-qo֑rach 'e֚lּeh bּene֣y 'eshsa֔v 'ashshe֥r yulּedu-l֖o bּe'e֥retz kּenaֽ'an׃

Edified Edition (EDE)and Oholibamah bore Jeush, Jalam and Korah. These were the sons of Esau, who were born to him in Canaan.

וְאָהֳלִֽיבָמָה֙ יָֽלְדָ֔ה אֶת־יעיש יְע֥וּשׁ וְאֶת־יַעְלָ֖ם וְאֶת־קֹ֑רַח אֵ֚לֶּה בְּנֵ֣י עֵשָׂ֔ו אֲשֶׁ֥ר יֻלְּדוּ־ל֖וֹ בְּאֶ֥רֶץ כְּנָֽעַן׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּiqּa֣ch 'eshsa֡v 'et-na֠shshayv ve'et-bּana֣yv ve'et-bּenotayv֮ ve'et-kּal-napeshsh֣ot bּeyto֒ ve'et-miqene֣hu ve'et-kּal-bּehemetּ֗o ve'et֙ kּal-qineyan֔o 'ashshe֥r raka֖shsh bּe'e֣retz kּena֑'an vayּe֣leke 'el-'e֔retz mipּene֖y ya'aqo֥b 'achiֽyv׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Esau took his wives and sons and daughters and all the people of his household, as well as his livestock and all his other animals and all the goods he had acquired in Canaan, and moved to a land away from the presence of his brother Jacob.

וַיִּקַּ֣ח עֵשָׂ֡ו אֶת־נָ֠שָׁיו וְאֶת־בָּנָ֣יו וְאֶת־בְּנֹתָיו֮ וְאֶת־כָּל־נַפְשׁ֣וֹת בֵּיתוֹ֒ וְאֶת־מִקְנֵ֣הוּ וְאֶת־כָּל־בְּהֶמְתּ֗וֹ וְאֵת֙ כָּל־קִנְיָנ֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֥ר רָכַ֖שׁ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ אֶל־אֶ֔רֶץ מִפְּנֵ֖י יַעֲקֹ֥ב אָחִֽיו׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): kּiֽy-haya֧h rekushsha֛m ra֖b mishshּe֣bet yachedּa֑v velo֨ yֽakela֜h 'e֤retz megֽureyhem֙ lashse֣'t 'ota֔m mipּene֖y miqeneyheֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Their possessions were too great for them to remain together; the land where they were staying could not support them both because of their livestock.

כִּֽי־הָיָ֧ה רְכוּשָׁ֛ם רָ֖ב מִשֶּׁ֣בֶת יַחְדָּ֑ו וְלֹ֨א יָֽכְלָ֜ה אֶ֤רֶץ מְגֽוּרֵיהֶם֙ לָשֵׂ֣את אֹתָ֔ם מִפְּנֵ֖י מִקְנֵיהֶֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּe֤shsheb 'eshsav֙ bּeha֣r shse'i֔yr 'eshsa֖v h֥u 'edֽom׃

Edified Edition (EDE)So Esau (that is, Edom) settled in the hill country of Seir.

וַיֵּ֤שֶׁב עֵשָׂו֙ בְּהַ֣ר שֵׂעִ֔יר עֵשָׂ֖ו ה֥וּא אֱדֽוֹם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'e֛lּeh tּoled֥ot 'eshsa֖v 'abi֣y 'ed֑om bּeha֖r shse'iֽyr׃

Edified Edition (EDE)This is the account of the family line of Esau the father of the Edomites in the hill country of Seir.

וְאֵ֛לֶּה תֹּלְד֥וֹת עֵשָׂ֖ו אֲבִ֣י אֱד֑וֹם בְּהַ֖ר שֵׂעִֽיר׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): e֖lּeh shshem֣ot bּeneֽy-'eshsa֑v 'eliypa֗z bּen-'adah֙ 'e֣shshet 'eshsa֔v re'u'e֕l bּen-bּashsema֖t 'e֥shshet 'eshsaֽv׃

Edified Edition (EDE)These are the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz, the son of Esau's wife Adah, and Reuel, the son of Esau's wife Basemath.

אֵ֖לֶּה שְׁמ֣וֹת בְּנֵֽי־עֵשָׂ֑ו אֱלִיפַ֗ז בֶּן־עָדָה֙ אֵ֣שֶׁת עֵשָׂ֔ו רְעוּאֵ֕ל בֶּן־בָּשְׂמַ֖ת אֵ֥שֶׁת עֵשָֽׂו׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּihey֖u bּene֣y 'eliypa֑z tּeyma֣n 'oma֔r tzep֥o vega'etּa֖m uqenaֽz׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam and Kenaz.

וַיִּהְי֖וּ בְּנֵ֣י אֱלִיפָ֑ז תֵּימָ֣ן אוֹמָ֔ר צְפ֥וֹ וְגַעְתָּ֖ם וּקְנַֽז׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vetimena֣ ׀ hayeta֣h piyle֗geshsh leֽ'eliypaz֙ bּen-'eshsa֔v vatּe֥led le'eliypa֖z 'et-'amale֑q 'e֕lּeh bּene֥y 'ada֖h 'e֥shshet 'eshsaֽv׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Esau's son Eliphaz also had a concubine named Timna, who bore him Amalek. These were grandsons of Esau's wife Adah.

וְתִמְנַ֣ע ׀ הָיְתָ֣ה פִילֶ֗גֶשׁ לֶֽאֱלִיפַז֙ בֶּן־עֵשָׂ֔ו וַתֵּ֥לֶד לֶאֱלִיפַ֖ז אֶת־עֲמָלֵ֑ק אֵ֕לֶּה בְּנֵ֥י עָדָ֖ה אֵ֥שֶׁת עֵשָֽׂו׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'e֨lּeh֙ bּene֣y re'u'e֔l na֥chat vaze֖rach shshamּa֣h umizּa֑h 'e֣lּe֣h hay֔u bּene֥y bashsema֖t 'e֥shshet 'eshsaֽv׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These were grandsons of Esau's wife Basemath.

וְאֵ֨לֶּה֙ בְּנֵ֣י רְעוּאֵ֔ל נַ֥חַת וָזֶ֖רַח שַׁמָּ֣ה וּמִזָּ֑ה אֵ֣לֶּ֣ה הָי֔וּ בְּנֵ֥י בָשְׂמַ֖ת אֵ֥שֶׁת עֵשָֽׂו׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'e֣lּeh hay֗u bּene֨y 'aholiybama֧h bat-'ana֛h bּat-tzibe'֖on 'e֣shshet 'eshsa֑v vatּe֣led le'eshsa֔v 'et-y'ysh ye'֥ushsh ve'et-ya'ela֖m ve'et-qoֽrach׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The sons of Esau's wife Oholibamah daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon, whom she bore to Esau: Jeush, Jalam and Korah.

וְאֵ֣לֶּה הָי֗וּ בְּנֵ֨י אָהֳלִיבָמָ֧ה בַת־עֲנָ֛ה בַּת־צִבְע֖וֹן אֵ֣שֶׁת עֵשָׂ֑ו וַתֵּ֣לֶד לְעֵשָׂ֔ו אֶת־יעיש יְע֥וּשׁ וְאֶת־יַעְלָ֖ם וְאֶת־קֹֽרַח׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): e֖lּeh 'alּupe֣y beneֽy-'eshsa֑v bּene֤y 'eliypaz֙ bּek֣or 'eshsa֔v 'alּ֤up tּeyman֙ 'alּ֣up 'oma֔r 'alּ֥up tzep֖o 'alּ֥up qenaֽz׃

Edified Edition (EDE)These were the chiefs among Esau's descendants: The sons of Eliphaz the firstborn of Esau: Chiefs Teman, Omar, Zepho, Kenaz,

אֵ֖לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֣י בְנֵֽי־עֵשָׂ֑ו בְּנֵ֤י אֱלִיפַז֙ בְּכ֣וֹר עֵשָׂ֔ו אַלּ֤וּף תֵּימָן֙ אַלּ֣וּף אוֹמָ֔ר אַלּ֥וּף צְפ֖וֹ אַלּ֥וּף קְנַֽז׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): alּֽup-qo֛rach 'alּ֥up gּa'etּa֖m 'alּ֣up 'amale֑q 'e֣lּeh 'alּupe֤y 'eliypaz֙ bּe'e֣retz 'ed֔om 'e֖lּeh bּene֥y 'adaֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Korah, Gatam and Amalek. These were the chiefs descended from Eliphaz in Edom; they were grandsons of Adah.

אַלּֽוּף־קֹ֛רַח אַלּ֥וּף גַּעְתָּ֖ם אַלּ֣וּף עֲמָלֵ֑ק אֵ֣לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֤י אֱלִיפַז֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ אֱד֔וֹם אֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵ֥י עָדָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'e֗lּeh bּene֤y re'u'el֙ bּen-'eshsa֔v 'alּ֥up na֨chat֙ 'alּ֣up ze֔rach 'alּ֥up shshamּa֖h 'alּ֣up mizּa֑h 'e֣lּeh 'alּupe֤y re'u'el֙ bּe'e֣retz 'ed֔om 'e֕lּeh bּene֥y bashsema֖t 'e֥shshet 'eshsaֽv׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The sons of Esau's wife Oholibamah: Chiefs Jeush, Jalam and Korah. These were the chiefs descended from Esau's wife Oholibamah daughter of Anah.

וְאֵ֗לֶּה בְּנֵ֤י אָהֳלִֽיבָמָה֙ אֵ֣שֶׁת עֵשָׂ֔ו אַלּ֥וּף יְע֛וּשׁ אַלּ֥וּף יַעְלָ֖ם אַלּ֣וּף קֹ֑רַח אֵ֣לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֞י אָֽהֳלִיבָמָ֛ה בַּת־עֲנָ֖ה אֵ֥שֶׁת עֵשָֽׂו׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): e֧lּeh beney-'eshsa֛v ve'e֥lּeh 'alּupeyhe֖m h֥u 'edֽom׃s

Edified Edition (EDE)These were the sons of Esau (that is, Edom), and these were their chiefs.

אֵ֧לֶּה בְנֵי־עֵשָׂ֛ו וְאֵ֥לֶּה אַלּוּפֵיהֶ֖ם ה֥וּא אֱדֽוֹם׃ס

Phonetic (Hebrew): e֤lּeh beneֽy-shse'iyr֙ hachori֔y yoshshebe֖y ha'a֑retz lota֥n veshshoba֖l vetzibe'֥on va'anaֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)These were the sons of Seir the Horite, who were living in the region: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,

אֵ֤לֶּה בְנֵֽי־שֵׂעִיר֙ הַחֹרִ֔י יֹשְׁבֵ֖י הָאָ֑רֶץ לוֹטָ֥ן וְשׁוֹבָ֖ל וְצִבְע֥וֹן וַעֲנָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vedishsh֥on ve'e֖tzer vediyshsha֑n 'e֣lּeh 'alּupe֧y hachori֛y bּene֥y shse'i֖yr bּe'e֥retz 'edֽom׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Dishon, Ezer and Dishan. These sons of Seir in Edom were Horite chiefs.

וְדִשׁ֥וֹן וְאֵ֖צֶר וְדִישָׁ֑ן אֵ֣לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֧י הַחֹרִ֛י בְּנֵ֥י שֵׂעִ֖יר בְּאֶ֥רֶץ אֱדֽוֹם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּihey֥u beney-lota֖n chori֣y veheyma֑m va'ach֥ot lota֖n tּimenaֽ'׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam. Timna was Lotan's sister.

וַיִּהְי֥וּ בְנֵי־לוֹטָ֖ן חֹרִ֣י וְהֵימָ֑ם וַאֲח֥וֹת לוֹטָ֖ן תִּמְנָֽע׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'e֨lּeh֙ bּene֣y shshoba֔l 'aleva֥n umana֖chat ve'eyba֑l shshep֖o ve'onaֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The sons of Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho and Onam.

וְאֵ֨לֶּה֙ בְּנֵ֣י שׁוֹבָ֔ל עַלְוָ֥ן וּמָנַ֖חַת וְעֵיבָ֑ל שְׁפ֖וֹ וְאוֹנָֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'e֥lּeh beneֽy-tzibe'֖on ve'ayּa֣h va'ana֑h h֣u 'ana֗h 'ashshe֨r matza֤ 'et-hayּemim֙ bּamּidebּa֔r bּire'ot֥o 'et-hachamori֖ym letzibe'֥on 'abiֽyv׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah. This is the Anah who discovered the hot springs in the desert while he was grazing the donkeys of his father Zibeon.

וְאֵ֥לֶּה בְנֵֽי־צִבְע֖וֹן וְאַיָּ֣ה וַעֲנָ֑ה ה֣וּא עֲנָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר מָצָ֤א אֶת־הַיֵּמִם֙ בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר בִּרְעֹת֥וֹ אֶת־הַחֲמֹרִ֖ים לְצִבְע֥וֹן אָבִֽיו׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'e֥lּeh beneֽy-'ana֖h dּishsho֑n ve'aholiybama֖h bּat-'anaֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The children of Anah: Dishon and Oholibamah daughter of Anah.

וְאֵ֥לֶּה בְנֵֽי־עֲנָ֖ה דִּשֹׁ֑ן וְאָהֳלִיבָמָ֖ה בַּת־עֲנָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'e֖lּeh bּene֣y diyshsha֑n chemedּa֥n ve'eshshebּa֖n veyitera֥n ukeraֽn׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The sons of Dishon: Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran and Keran.

וְאֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵ֣י דִישָׁ֑ן חֶמְדָּ֥ן וְאֶשְׁבָּ֖ן וְיִתְרָ֥ן וּכְרָֽן׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): e֖lּeh bּeney-'e֑tzer bּileha֥n veza'ava֖n va'aqaֽn׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan and Akan.

אֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵי־אֵ֑צֶר בִּלְהָ֥ן וְזַעֲוָ֖ן וַעֲקָֽן׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): e֥lּeh beneֽy-diyshsha֖n '֥utz va'araֽn׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.

אֵ֥לֶּה בְנֵֽי־דִישָׁ֖ן ע֥וּץ וַאֲרָֽן׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): e֖lּeh 'alּupe֣y hachori֑y 'alּ֤up lotan֙ 'alּ֣up shshoba֔l 'alּ֥up tzibe'֖on 'alּ֥up 'anaֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)These were the Horite chiefs: Chiefs Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,

אֵ֖לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֣י הַחֹרִ֑י אַלּ֤וּף לוֹטָן֙ אַלּ֣וּף שׁוֹבָ֔ל אַלּ֥וּף צִבְע֖וֹן אַלּ֥וּף עֲנָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): alּ֥up dּishsho֛n 'alּ֥up 'e֖tzer 'alּ֣up dּiyshsha֑n 'e֣lּeh 'alּupe֧y hachori֛y le'alּupeyhe֖m bּe'e֥retz shse'iֽyr׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)Dishon, Ezer and Dishan. These were the Horite chiefs, according to their divisions, in the land of Seir.

אַלּ֥וּף דִּשֹׁ֛ן אַלּ֥וּף אֵ֖צֶר אַלּ֣וּף דִּישָׁ֑ן אֵ֣לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֧י הַחֹרִ֛י לְאַלֻּפֵיהֶ֖ם בְּאֶ֥רֶץ שֵׂעִֽיר׃פ

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'e֨lּeh֙ hamּelaki֔ym 'ashshe֥r malek֖u bּe'e֣retz 'ed֑om lipene֥y melake-me֖leke libene֥y yishsera'eֽl׃

Edified Edition (EDE)These were the kings who reigned in Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel:

וְאֵ֨לֶּה֙ הַמְּלָכִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר מָלְכ֖וּ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ אֱד֑וֹם לִפְנֵ֥י מְלָךְ־מֶ֖לֶךְ לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּimelo֣ke bּe'ed֔om bּe֖la bּen-bּe'֑or veshshe֥m 'iyr֖o dּinehaֽbah׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Bela son of Beor became king of Edom. His city was named Dinhabah.

וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ בֶּאֱד֔וֹם בֶּ֖לַע בֶּן־בְּע֑וֹר וְשֵׁ֥ם עִיר֖וֹ דִּנְהָֽבָה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֖mat bּa֑la vayּimelo֣ke tּachetּa֔yv yoba֥b bּen-ze֖rach mibּatzeraֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah succeeded him as king.

וַיָּ֖מָת בָּ֑לַע וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו יוֹבָ֥ב בֶּן־זֶ֖רַח מִבָּצְרָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֖mat yoba֑b vayּimelo֣ke tּachetּa֔yv chushsha֖m me'e֥retz hatּeymaniֽy׃

Edified Edition (EDE)When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites succeeded him as king.

וַיָּ֖מָת יוֹבָ֑ב וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו חֻשָׁ֖ם מֵאֶ֥רֶץ הַתֵּימָנִֽי׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֖mat chushsha֑m vayּimelo֨ke tּachetּa֜yv hada֣d bּen-bּeda֗d hamּakּe֤h 'et-mideyan֙ bּishsede֣h mo'a֔b veshshe֥m 'iyr֖o 'aviֽyt׃

Edified Edition (EDE)When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, succeeded him as king. His city was named Avith.

וַיָּ֖מָת חֻשָׁ֑ם וַיִּמְלֹ֨ךְ תַּחְתָּ֜יו הֲדַ֣ד בֶּן־בְּדַ֗ד הַמַּכֶּ֤ה אֶת־מִדְיָן֙ בִּשְׂדֵ֣ה מוֹאָ֔ב וְשֵׁ֥ם עִיר֖וֹ עֲוִֽית׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֖mat hada֑d vayּimelo֣ke tּachetּa֔yv shsamela֖h mimּashsereqaֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah succeeded him as king.

וַיָּ֖מָת הֲדָ֑ד וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו שַׂמְלָ֖ה מִמַּשְׂרֵקָֽה׃

וַיָּ֖מָת שַׂמְלָ֑ה וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו שָׁא֖וּל מֵרְחֹב֥וֹת הַנָּהָֽר׃

Edified Edition (EDE)When Baal-Hanan son of Akbor died, Hadad succeeded him as king. His city was named Pau, and his wife's name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-Zahab.

וַיָּמָת֮ בַּ֣עַל חָנָ֣ן בֶּן־עַכְבּוֹר֒ וַיִּמְלֹ֤ךְ תַּחְתָּיו֙ הֲדַ֔ר וְשֵׁ֥ם עִיר֖וֹ פָּ֑עוּ וְשֵׁ֨ם אִשְׁתּ֤וֹ מְהֵֽיטַבְאֵל֙ בַּת־מַטְרֵ֔ד בַּ֖ת מֵ֥י זָהָֽב׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve֠'elּeh shshem֞ot 'alּupe֤y 'eshsav֙ lemishshepּechota֔m limeqomota֖m bּishshemota֑m 'alּ֥up tּimena֛ 'alּ֥up 'aֽleva֖h 'alּ֥up yeteֽt׃

Edified Edition (EDE)These were the chiefs descended from Esau, by name, according to their clans and regions: Chiefs Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,

וְ֠אֵלֶּה שְׁמ֞וֹת אַלּוּפֵ֤י עֵשָׂו֙ לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֔ם לִמְקֹמֹתָ֖ם בִּשְׁמֹתָ֑ם אַלּ֥וּף תִּמְנָ֛ע אַלּ֥וּף עַֽלְוָ֖ה אַלּ֥וּף יְתֵֽת׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): alּ֧up 'aholiybama֛h 'alּ֥up 'ela֖h 'alּ֥up pּiynoֽn׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,

אַלּ֧וּף אָהֳלִיבָמָ֛ה אַלּ֥וּף אֵלָ֖ה אַלּ֥וּף פִּינֹֽן׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): alּ֥up qena֛z 'alּ֥up tּeyma֖n 'alּ֥up mibetzaֽr׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,

אַלּ֥וּף קְנַ֛ז אַלּ֥וּף תֵּימָ֖ן אַלּ֥וּף מִבְצָֽר׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): alּ֥up magedּiy'e֖l 'alּ֣up 'iyra֑m 'e֣lּeh ׀ 'alּupe֣y 'ed֗om lemoֽshshebotam֙ bּe'e֣retz 'achuzּata֔m h֥u 'eshsa֖v 'abi֥y 'edֽom׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)Magdiel and Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom, according to their settlements in the land they occupied. This is Esau, the father of Edom.

אַלּ֥וּף מַגְדִּיאֵ֖ל אַלּ֣וּף עִירָ֑ם אֵ֣לֶּה ׀ אַלּוּפֵ֣י אֱד֗וֹם לְמֹֽשְׁבֹתָם֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ אֲחֻזָּתָ֔ם ה֥וּא עֵשָׂ֖ו אֲבִ֥י אֱדֽוֹם׃פ
