Chapter 6
1
Phonetic (Hebrew): bּishshenat-mot֙ hamּe֣leke 'uzּiyּa֔hu va'ere'e֧h 'et-'adona֛y yoshshe֥b 'al-kּisּe֖ ra֣m venishsּa֑ veshshula֖yv mele'i֥ym 'et-haheykaֽl׃
Edified Edition (EDE)In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple.

בִּשְׁנַת־מוֹת֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ עֻזִּיָּ֔הוּ וָאֶרְאֶ֧ה אֶת־אֲדֹנָ֛י יֹשֵׁ֥ב עַל־כִּסֵּ֖א רָ֣ם וְנִשָּׂ֑א וְשׁוּלָ֖יו מְלֵאִ֥ים אֶת־הַהֵיכָֽל׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): shserapi֨ym 'omedi֤ym ׀ mimּa֨'al֙ l֔o shshe֧shsh kּenapa֛yim shshe֥shsh kּenapa֖yim le'echa֑d bּishshetּa֣yim ׀ yekasּe֣h pana֗yv ubishshetּa֛yim yekasּe֥h ragela֖yv ubishshetּa֥yim ye'opeֽp׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he did fly.

שְׂרָפִ֨ים עֹמְדִ֤ים ׀ מִמַּ֨עַל֙ ל֔וֹ שֵׁ֧שׁ כְּנָפַ֛יִם שֵׁ֥שׁ כְּנָפַ֖יִם לְאֶחָ֑ד בִּשְׁתַּ֣יִם ׀ יְכַסֶּ֣ה פָנָ֗יו וּבִשְׁתַּ֛יִם יְכַסֶּ֥ה רַגְלָ֖יו וּבִשְׁתַּ֥יִם יְעוֹפֵֽף׃

3
Phonetic (Hebrew): veqara֨ ze֤h 'el-zeh֙ ve'ama֔r qad֧oshsh ׀ qad֛oshsh qad֖oshsh yehva֣h tzeba'֑ot melo֥ kal-ha'a֖retz kּebodֽo׃
Edified Edition (EDE)And one cried to another, and said, "[1] Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of His glory."

וְקָרָ֨א זֶ֤ה אֶל־זֶה֙ וְאָמַ֔ר קָד֧וֹשׁ ׀ קָד֛וֹשׁ קָד֖וֹשׁ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת מְלֹ֥א כָל־הָאָ֖רֶץ כְּבוֹדֽוֹ׃

4
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּanu֨'u֙ 'amּ֣ot hasּipּi֔ym miqּ֖ol haqּore֑ vehabּa֖yit yimּale֥ 'ashshaֽn׃
Edified Edition (EDE)And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

וַיָּנֻ֨עוּ֙ אַמּ֣וֹת הַסִּפִּ֔ים מִקּ֖וֹל הַקּוֹרֵ֑א וְהַבַּ֖יִת יִמָּלֵ֥א עָשָֽׁן׃

5
Phonetic (Hebrew): va'oma֞r 'ֽoy-li֣y kiֽy-nideme֗ytiy kּi֣y 'i֤yshsh temeֽ'-shsepata֨yim֙ 'ano֔kiy ubetoke֙ 'am-teme֣ shsepata֔yim 'anoki֖y yoshshe֑b kּi֗y 'et-hamּe֛leke yehva֥h tzeba'֖ot ra'֥u 'eynaֽy׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Then said I, "Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts."

וָאֹמַ֞ר אֽוֹי־לִ֣י כִֽי־נִדְמֵ֗יתִי כִּ֣י אִ֤ישׁ טְמֵֽא־שְׂפָתַ֨יִם֙ אָנֹ֔כִי וּבְתוֹךְ֙ עַם־טְמֵ֣א שְׂפָתַ֔יִם אָנֹכִ֖י יוֹשֵׁ֑ב כִּ֗י אֶת־הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת רָא֥וּ עֵינָֽי׃

6
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּa֣'ap 'ela֗y 'echad֙ min-hashsּerapi֔ym ubeyad֖o ritzepּa֑h bּeme֨leqacha֔yim laqa֖ch me'a֥l hamּizebּeֽcha׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Then flew one of the seraphims to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

וַיָּ֣עָף אֵלַ֗י אֶחָד֙ מִן־הַשְּׂרָפִ֔ים וּבְיָד֖וֹ רִצְפָּ֑ה בְּמֶ֨לְקַחַ֔יִם לָקַ֖ח מֵעַ֥ל הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃

7
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּagּa֣ 'al-pּi֔y vayּo֕'mer hinּe֛h naga֥ ze֖h 'al-shsepate֑yka vesa֣r 'avone֔ka vechatּa'teka֖ tּekupּaֽr׃
Edified Edition (EDE)And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, "Lo, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged."

וַיַּגַּ֣ע עַל־פִּ֔י וַיֹּ֕אמֶר הִנֵּ֛ה נָגַ֥ע זֶ֖ה עַל־שְׂפָתֶ֑יךָ וְסָ֣ר עֲוֺנֶ֔ךָ וְחַטָּאתְךָ֖ תְּכֻפָּֽר׃

8
Phonetic (Hebrew): va'eshshema֞ 'et-q֤ol 'adonay֙ 'ome֔r 'et-mi֥y 'eshshela֖ch umi֣y yeֽleke-la֑nu va'oma֖r hineni֥y shshelacheֽniy׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then said I, "Here am I; send me."

וָאֶשְׁמַ֞ע אֶת־ק֤וֹל אֲדֹנָי֙ אֹמֵ֔ר אֶת־מִ֥י אֶשְׁלַ֖ח וּמִ֣י יֵֽלֶךְ־לָ֑נוּ וָאֹמַ֖ר הִנְנִ֥י שְׁלָחֵֽנִי׃

9
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּo֕'mer le֥ke ve'amaretּa֖ la'a֣m hazּe֑h shshime'֤u shsham֨o'a֙ ve'al-tּabi֔ynu ure'֥u ra'֖o ve'al-tּedaֽ'u׃
Edified Edition (EDE)And He said, "Go, and tell this people, 'Hear you indeed, but understand not; and see you indeed, but perceive not.'"

וַיֹּ֕אמֶר לֵ֥ךְ וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ לָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֑ה שִׁמְע֤וּ שָׁמ֨וֹעַ֙ וְאַל־תָּבִ֔ינוּ וּרְא֥וּ רָא֖וֹ וְאַל־תֵּדָֽעוּ׃

10
Phonetic (Hebrew): hashshemen֙ leb-ha'a֣m hazּe֔h ve'azena֥yv hakebּe֖d ve'eyna֣yv hashsha֑ pּen-yire'e֨h be'eyna֜yv ube'azena֣yv yishshema֗ ulebab֥o yabi֛yn vashsha֖b vera֥pa lֽo׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

הַשְׁמֵן֙ לֵב־הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה וְאָזְנָ֥יו הַכְבֵּ֖ד וְעֵינָ֣יו הָשַׁ֑ע פֶּן־יִרְאֶ֨ה בְעֵינָ֜יו וּבְאָזְנָ֣יו יִשְׁמָ֗ע וּלְבָב֥וֹ יָבִ֛ין וָשָׁ֖ב וְרָ֥פָא לֽוֹ׃

11
Phonetic (Hebrew): va'oma֕r 'ad-mata֖y 'adona֑y vayּo֡'mer 'a֣d 'ashsher֩ 'im-shsha'֨u 'ari֜ym me'e֣yn yoshshe֗b ubatּiym֙ me'e֣yn 'ada֔m veha'adama֖h tּishshּa'e֥h shshemamaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Then said I, "Lord, how long?" And He answered, "Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,"

וָאֹמַ֕ר עַד־מָתַ֖י אֲדֹנָ֑י וַיֹּ֡אמֶר עַ֣ד אֲשֶׁר֩ אִם־שָׁא֨וּ עָרִ֜ים מֵאֵ֣ין יוֹשֵׁ֗ב וּבָתִּים֙ מֵאֵ֣ין אָדָ֔ם וְהָאֲדָמָ֖ה תִּשָּׁאֶ֥ה שְׁמָמָֽה׃

12
Phonetic (Hebrew): vericha֥q yehva֖h 'et-ha'ada֑m verabּa֥h ha'azuba֖h bּeqe֥reb ha'aֽretz׃
Edified Edition (EDE)And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

וְרִחַ֥ק יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־הָאָדָ֑ם וְרַבָּ֥ה הָעֲזוּבָ֖ה בְּקֶ֥רֶב הָאָֽרֶץ׃

13
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'֥od bּahּ֙ 'ashsi֣riyּa֔h veshsha֖bah vehayeta֣h leba'e֑r kּa'ela֣h veka'alּ֗on 'ashshe֤r bּeshshalּe֨ket֙ matzּe֣bet bּa֔m ze֥ra qo֖deshsh matzּabetּaֽhּ׃p
Edified Edition (EDE)But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.

וְע֥וֹד בָּהּ֙ עֲשִׂ֣רִיָּ֔ה וְשָׁ֖בָה וְהָיְתָ֣ה לְבָעֵ֑ר כָּאֵלָ֣ה וְכָאַלּ֗וֹן אֲשֶׁ֤ר בְּשַׁלֶּ֨כֶת֙ מַצֶּ֣בֶת בָּ֔ם זֶ֥רַע קֹ֖דֶשׁ מַצַּבְתָּֽהּ׃פ
