Chapter 27

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayedabּe֥r yehva֖h 'el-moshshe֥h lּe'moֽr׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃

2
Phonetic (Hebrew): dּabּe֞r 'el-bּene֤y yishsera'el֙ ve'amaretּa֣ 'alehe֔m 'i֕yshsh kּi֥y yapeli֖ ne֑der bּe'erekּeka֥ nepashsho֖t laֽyhvaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'Speak to the Israelites and say to them: "If anyone makes a special vow to dedicate someone to the LORD by giving their equivalent value,

דַּבֵּ֞ר אֶל־בְּנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵהֶ֔ם אִ֕ישׁ כִּ֥י יַפְלִ֖א נֶ֑דֶר בְּעֶרְכְּךָ֥ נְפָשֹׁ֖ת לַֽיהוָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vehaya֤h 'erekּeka֙ hazּaka֔r mibּen֙ 'eshseri֣ym shshana֔h ve'a֖d bּen-shshishshּi֣ym shshana֑h vehaya֣h 'erekּeka֗ chamishshּi֛ym shshe֥qel kּe֖sep bּeshshe֥qel haqּoֽdeshsh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)set the value of a male between the ages of twenty and sixty at fifty shekels of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel.

וְהָיָ֤ה עֶרְכְּךָ֙ הַזָּכָ֔ר מִבֶּן֙ עֶשְׂרִ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה וְעַ֖ד בֶּן־שִׁשִּׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וְהָיָ֣ה עֶרְכְּךָ֗ חֲמִשִּׁ֛ים שֶׁ֥קֶל כֶּ֖סֶף בְּשֶׁ֥קֶל הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃

4
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'im-neqeba֖h hi֑v vehaya֥h 'erekּeka֖ shsheloshshi֥ym shshaֽqel׃
Edified Edition (EDE)If it is a female, set the value at thirty shekels.

וְאִם־נְקֵבָ֖ה הִ֑וא וְהָיָ֥ה עֶרְכְּךָ֖ שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים שָֽׁקֶל׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'i֨m mibּen-chame֜shsh shshani֗ym ve'ad֙ bּen-'eshseri֣ym shshana֔h vehaya֧h 'erekּeka֛ hazּaka֖r 'eshseri֣ym shsheqali֑ym velanּeqeba֖h 'ashse֥ret shsheqaliֽym׃
Edified Edition (EDE)If the person is between the ages of five and twenty, set the value of a male at twenty shekels and a female at ten shekels.

וְאִ֨ם מִבֶּן־חָמֵ֜שׁ שָׁנִ֗ים וְעַד֙ בֶּן־עֶשְׂרִ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה וְהָיָ֧ה עֶרְכְּךָ֛ הַזָּכָ֖ר עֶשְׂרִ֣ים שְׁקָלִ֑ים וְלַנְּקֵבָ֖ה עֲשֶׂ֥רֶת שְׁקָלִֽים׃

6
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'i֣m mibּen-cho֗deshsh ve'ad֙ bּen-chame֣shsh shshani֔ym vehaya֤h 'erekּeka֙ hazּaka֔r chamishshּa֥h shsheqali֖ym kּa֑sep velanּeqeba֣h 'erekּeka֔ shshelo֥shshet shsheqali֖ym kּaֽsep׃
Edified Edition (EDE)If the person is between one month and five years old, set the value of a male at five shekels of silver and a female at three shekels of silver.

וְאִ֣ם מִבֶּן־חֹ֗דֶשׁ וְעַד֙ בֶּן־חָמֵ֣שׁ שָׁנִ֔ים וְהָיָ֤ה עֶרְכְּךָ֙ הַזָּכָ֔ר חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה שְׁקָלִ֖ים כָּ֑סֶף וְלַנְּקֵבָ֣ה עֶרְכְּךָ֔ שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת שְׁקָלִ֖ים כָּֽסֶף׃

7
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve֠'im mibּen-shshishshּi֨ym shshana֤h vama֨'elah֙ 'im-zaka֔r vehaya֣h 'erekּeka֔ chamishshּa֥h 'ashsa֖r shsha֑qel velanּeqeba֖h 'ashsara֥h shsheqaliֽym׃
Edified Edition (EDE)If the person is sixty years old or older, set the value of a male at fifteen shekels and a female at ten shekels.

וְ֠אִם מִבֶּן־שִׁשִּׁ֨ים שָׁנָ֤ה וָמַ֨עְלָה֙ אִם־זָכָ֔ר וְהָיָ֣ה עֶרְכְּךָ֔ חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר שָׁ֑קֶל וְלַנְּקֵבָ֖ה עֲשָׂרָ֥ה שְׁקָלִֽים׃

8
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'im-ma֥ke hu'֙ meֽ'erekּe֔ka veheֽ'emiydo֙ lipene֣y hakּohe֔n vehe'eri֥yke 'ot֖o hakּohe֑n 'al-pּi֗y 'ashshe֤r tּashsּiyg֙ ya֣d hanּode֔r ya'ariyke֖nּu hakּoheֽn׃s
Edified Edition (EDE)If anyone is too poor to pay the set value, they must be brought before the priest, who will set a value according to what they can afford."

וְאִם־מָ֥ךְ הוּא֙ מֵֽעֶרְכֶּ֔ךָ וְהֶֽעֱמִידוֹ֙ לִפְנֵ֣י הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְהֶעֱרִ֥יךְ אֹת֖וֹ הַכֹּהֵ֑ן עַל־פִּ֗י אֲשֶׁ֤ר תַּשִּׂיג֙ יַ֣ד הַנֹּדֵ֔ר יַעֲרִיכֶ֖נּוּ הַכֹּהֵֽן׃ס

9
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'im-bּehema֔h 'ashshe֨r yaqeri֧ybu mimּe֛nּah qarebּa֖n laֽyhva֑h kּol֩ 'ashshe֨r yitּe֥n mimּe֛nּu layhva֖h yiֽheyeh-qּoֽdeshsh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'"If what they vowed is an animal that is acceptable as an offering to the LORD, any such animal given to the LORD becomes holy.

וְאִם־בְּהֵמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר יַקְרִ֧יבוּ מִמֶּ֛נָּה קָרְבָּ֖ן לַֽיהוָ֑ה כֹּל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִתֵּ֥ן מִמֶּ֛נּוּ לַיהוָ֖ה יִֽהְיֶה־קֹּֽדֶשׁ׃

10
Phonetic (Hebrew): lo֣ yachaliype֗nּu veloֽ'-yami֥yr 'ot֛o t֥ob bּera֖ 'o-ra֣ bּet֑ob ve'im-hame֨r yami֤yr bּehemah֙ bּibehema֔h vehaֽyah-h֥u utemurat֖o yiֽheyeh-qּoֽdeshsh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)They must not replace it or exchange it, a good one for a bad one, or a bad one for a good one. If they do exchange one animal for another, both the original and the replacement become holy."

לֹ֣א יַחֲלִיפֶ֗נּוּ וְלֹֽא־יָמִ֥יר אֹת֛וֹ ט֥וֹב בְּרָ֖ע אוֹ־רַ֣ע בְּט֑וֹב וְאִם־הָמֵ֨ר יָמִ֤יר בְּהֵמָה֙ בִּבְהֵמָ֔ה וְהָֽיָה־ה֥וּא וּתְמוּרָת֖וֹ יִֽהְיֶה־קֹּֽדֶשׁ׃

11
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'im֙ kּal-bּehema֣h teme'a֔h 'a֠shsher lo'-yaqeri֧ybu mimּe֛nּah qarebּa֖n laֽyhva֑h vehֽe'emi֥yd 'et-habּehema֖h lipene֥y hakּoheֽn׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'"If what they vowed is a ceremonially unclean animal, one that is not acceptable as an offering to the LORD, the animal must be brought before the priest,

וְאִם֙ כָּל־בְּהֵמָ֣ה טְמֵאָ֔ה אֲ֠שֶׁר לֹא־יַקְרִ֧יבוּ מִמֶּ֛נָּה קָרְבָּ֖ן לַֽיהוָ֑ה וְהֶֽעֱמִ֥יד אֶת־הַבְּהֵמָ֖ה לִפְנֵ֥י הַכֹּהֵֽן׃

12
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehe'eri֤yke hakּohen֙ 'ota֔hּ bּe֥yn t֖ob ube֣yn ra֑ kּe'erekּeka֥ hakּohe֖n kּe֥n yiheyeֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)who will judge its quality. The priest's valuation will be final.

וְהֶעֱרִ֤יךְ הַכֹּהֵן֙ אֹתָ֔הּ בֵּ֥ין ט֖וֹב וּבֵ֣ין רָ֑ע כְּעֶרְכְּךָ֥ הַכֹּהֵ֖ן כֵּ֥ן יִהְיֶֽה׃

13
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'im-gּa'o֖l yige'ale֑nּah veyasa֥p chamiyshshit֖o 'al-'erekּeֽka׃
Edified Edition (EDE)If the owner wishes to buy it back, they must add a fifth of the value to its original price."

וְאִם־גָּאֹ֖ל יִגְאָלֶ֑נָּה וְיָסַ֥ף חֲמִישִׁת֖וֹ עַל־עֶרְכֶּֽךָ׃

14
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'i֗yshsh kּiֽy-yaqedּi֨shsh 'et-bּeyt֥o qo֨deshsh֙ laֽyhva֔h vehe'eriyko֙ hakּohe֔n bּe֥yn t֖ob ube֣yn ra֑ kּa'ashshe֨r ya'ari֥yke 'ot֛o hakּohe֖n kּe֥n yaqֽum׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'"If anyone dedicates their house as holy to the LORD, the priest will judge its quality. Whatever value the priest sets, it shall stand.

וְאִ֗ישׁ כִּֽי־יַקְדִּ֨שׁ אֶת־בֵּית֥וֹ קֹ֨דֶשׁ֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה וְהֶעֱרִיכוֹ֙ הַכֹּהֵ֔ן בֵּ֥ין ט֖וֹב וּבֵ֣ין רָ֑ע כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר יַעֲרִ֥יךְ אֹת֛וֹ הַכֹּהֵ֖ן כֵּ֥ן יָקֽוּם׃

15
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'i֨m-hamּaqedּi֔yshsh yige'a֖l 'et-bּeyt֑o ve֠yasap chamiyshshi֧yt kּeֽsep-'erekּeka֛ 'ala֖yv veha֥yah lֽo׃
Edified Edition (EDE)If the one who dedicated their house wants to buy it back, they must add a fifth of the value to its price, and it will be theirs again."

וְאִ֨ם־הַמַּקְדִּ֔ישׁ יִגְאַ֖ל אֶת־בֵּית֑וֹ וְ֠יָסַף חֲמִישִׁ֧ית כֶּֽסֶף־עֶרְכְּךָ֛ עָלָ֖יו וְהָ֥יָה לֽוֹ׃

16
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'i֣m ׀ mishsּede֣h 'achuzּat֗o yaqedּi֥yshsh 'iyshsh֙ laֽyhva֔h vehaya֥h 'erekּeka֖ lepi֣y zare'֑o ze֚ra cho֣mer shse'ori֔ym bּachamishshּi֖ym shshe֥qel kּaֽsep׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'"If anyone dedicates part of their family land to the LORD, its value must be based on the amount of seed required for it, fifty shekels of silver for every homer of barley seed.

וְאִ֣ם ׀ מִשְּׂדֵ֣ה אֲחֻזָּת֗וֹ יַקְדִּ֥ישׁ אִישׁ֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה וְהָיָ֥ה עֶרְכְּךָ֖ לְפִ֣י זַרְע֑וֹ זֶ֚רַע חֹ֣מֶר שְׂעֹרִ֔ים בַּחֲמִשִּׁ֖ים שֶׁ֥קֶל כָּֽסֶף׃

17
Phonetic (Hebrew): im-mishshּena֥t hayּobe֖l yaqedּi֣yshsh shsade֑hu kּe'erekּeka֖ yaqֽum׃
Edified Edition (EDE)If they dedicate their field during the Year of Jubilee, the full value stands.

אִם־מִשְּׁנַ֥ת הַיֹּבֵ֖ל יַקְדִּ֣ישׁ שָׂדֵ֑הוּ כְּעֶרְכְּךָ֖ יָקֽוּם׃

18
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'im-'acha֣r hayּobel֮ yaqedּi֣yshsh shsadehu֒ vechishshּab-l֨o hakּohe֜n 'et-hakּe֗sep 'al-pּi֤y hashshּaniym֙ hanּ֣otaro֔t 'a֖d shshena֣t hayּobe֑l venigera֖ meֽ'erekּeֽka׃
Edified Edition (EDE)But if they dedicate it after the Jubilee, the priest must calculate the value based on the number of years remaining until the next Year of Jubilee, and the price will be reduced accordingly.

וְאִם־אַחַ֣ר הַיֹּבֵל֮ יַקְדִּ֣ישׁ שָׂדֵהוּ֒ וְחִשַּׁב־ל֨וֹ הַכֹּהֵ֜ן אֶת־הַכֶּ֗סֶף עַל־פִּ֤י הַשָּׁנִים֙ הַנּ֣וֹתָרֹ֔ת עַ֖ד שְׁנַ֣ת הַיֹּבֵ֑ל וְנִגְרַ֖ע מֵֽעֶרְכֶּֽךָ׃

19
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'im-gּa'o֤l yige'al֙ 'et-hashsּade֔h hamּaqedּi֖yshsh 'ot֑o ve֠yasap chamishshi֧yt kּeֽsep-'erekּeka֛ 'ala֖yv veqa֥m lֽo׃
Edified Edition (EDE)If the one who dedicated the field wants to buy it back, they must add a fifth of the value, and it will be returned to them.

וְאִם־גָּאֹ֤ל יִגְאַל֙ אֶת־הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה הַמַּקְדִּ֖ישׁ אֹת֑וֹ וְ֠יָסַף חֲמִשִׁ֧ית כֶּֽסֶף־עֶרְכְּךָ֛ עָלָ֖יו וְקָ֥ם לֽוֹ׃

20
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'im-lo֤ yige'al֙ 'et-hashsּade֔h ve'im-maka֥r 'et-hashsּade֖h le'i֣yshsh 'ache֑r lo֥ yigּa'e֖l 'ֽod׃
Edified Edition (EDE)If they do not buy it back, or if they have sold it to someone else, it can never be bought back again.

וְאִם־לֹ֤א יִגְאַל֙ אֶת־הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה וְאִם־מָכַ֥ר אֶת־הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה לְאִ֣ישׁ אַחֵ֑ר לֹ֥א יִגָּאֵ֖ל עֽוֹד׃

21
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehaya֨h hashsּade֜h bּetze't֣o bayּobe֗l qo֛deshsh laֽyhva֖h kּishsede֣h hache֑rem lakּohe֖n tּiheye֥h 'achuzּatֽo׃
Edified Edition (EDE)When the field is released in the Jubilee, it will become holy, like a field permanently devoted to the LORD, and it will belong to the priests."

וְהָיָ֨ה הַשָּׂדֶ֜ה בְּצֵאת֣וֹ בַיֹּבֵ֗ל קֹ֛דֶשׁ לַֽיהוָ֖ה כִּשְׂדֵ֣ה הַחֵ֑רֶם לַכֹּהֵ֖ן תִּהְיֶ֥ה אֲחֻזָּתֽוֹ׃

22
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'im֙ 'et-shsede֣h miqenat֔o 'ashshe֕r lo֖ mishsּede֣h 'achuzּat֑o yaqedּi֖yshsh laֽyhvaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'"If anyone dedicates to the LORD a field they have bought, which is not part of their family land,

וְאִם֙ אֶת־שְׂדֵ֣ה מִקְנָת֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֕ר לֹ֖א מִשְּׂדֵ֣ה אֲחֻזָּת֑וֹ יַקְדִּ֖ישׁ לַֽיהוָֽה׃

23
Phonetic (Hebrew): vechishshּab-l֣o hakּohe֗n 'e֚t mikesa֣t haֽ'erekּeka֔ 'a֖d shshena֣t hayּobe֑l venata֤n 'et-ha'erekּeka֙ bּayּ֣om hah֔u qo֖deshsh layhvaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)the priest will calculate its value up to the Year of Jubilee, and the person must pay that value on that day as something holy to the LORD.

וְחִשַּׁב־ל֣וֹ הַכֹּהֵ֗ן אֵ֚ת מִכְסַ֣ת הָֽעֶרְכְּךָ֔ עַ֖ד שְׁנַ֣ת הַיֹּבֵ֑ל וְנָתַ֤ן אֶת־הָעֶרְכְּךָ֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא קֹ֖דֶשׁ לַיהוָֽה׃

24
Phonetic (Hebrew): bּishshena֤t hayּobel֙ yashsh֣ub hashsּade֔h la'ashshe֥r qana֖hu me'itּ֑o la'ashsher-l֖o 'achuzּa֥t ha'aֽretz׃
Edified Edition (EDE)In the Year of Jubilee, the field must be returned to the person from whom it was bought, the one whose family land it was."

בִּשְׁנַ֤ת הַיּוֹבֵל֙ יָשׁ֣וּב הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה לַאֲשֶׁ֥ר קָנָ֖הוּ מֵאִתּ֑וֹ לַאֲשֶׁר־ל֖וֹ אֲחֻזַּ֥ת הָאָֽרֶץ׃

25
Phonetic (Hebrew): vekal-'erekּeka֔ yiheye֖h bּeshshe֣qel haqּo֑deshsh 'eshseri֥ym gּera֖h yiheye֥h hashshּaֽqel׃s
Edified Edition (EDE)'"Every value must be set according to the sanctuary shekel, which is twenty gerahs."

וְכָל־עֶרְכְּךָ֔ יִהְיֶ֖ה בְּשֶׁ֣קֶל הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ עֶשְׂרִ֥ים גֵּרָ֖ה יִהְיֶ֥ה הַשָּֽׁקֶל׃ס

26
Phonetic (Hebrew): ake-bּek֞or 'ashsher-yebukּa֤r laֽyhvah֙ bּibehema֔h loֽ'-yaqedּi֥yshsh 'i֖yshsh 'ot֑o 'im-shsh֣or 'im-shse֔h laֽyhva֖h hֽu'׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'"No one may dedicate the firstborn of an animal, since the firstborn already belongs to the LORD; whether an ox or a sheep, it is the LORD's.

אַךְ־בְּכ֞וֹר אֲשֶׁר־יְבֻכַּ֤ר לַֽיהוָה֙ בִּבְהֵמָ֔ה לֹֽא־יַקְדִּ֥ישׁ אִ֖ישׁ אֹת֑וֹ אִם־שׁ֣וֹר אִם־שֶׂ֔ה לַֽיהוָ֖ה הֽוּא׃

27
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'i֨m bּabּehema֤h hatּeme'ah֙ upada֣h be'erekּe֔ka veyasa֥p chamishshit֖o 'ala֑yv ve'im-lo֥ yigּa'e֖l venimekּa֥r bּe'erekּeֽka׃
Edified Edition (EDE)If it is an unclean animal, they may buy it back at its set value plus a fifth; if it is not bought back, it must be sold at its set value."

וְאִ֨ם בַּבְּהֵמָ֤ה הַטְּמֵאָה֙ וּפָדָ֣ה בְעֶרְכֶּ֔ךָ וְיָסַ֥ף חֲמִשִׁת֖וֹ עָלָ֑יו וְאִם־לֹ֥א יִגָּאֵ֖ל וְנִמְכַּ֥ר בְּעֶרְכֶּֽךָ׃

28
Phonetic (Hebrew): ake-kּal-che֡rem 'ashshe֣r yacharim֩ 'i֨yshsh laֽyhva֜h mikּal-'ashsher-l֗o me'ada֤m ubehemah֙ umishsּede֣h 'achuzּat֔o lo֥ yimּake֖r velo֣ yigּa'e֑l kּal-che֕rem qoֽdeshsh-qaֽdashshi֥ym h֖u layhvaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'"But nothing that anyone permanently devotes to the LORD from their property, whether a person, an animal, or family land, can be sold or bought back; everything so devoted is most holy to the LORD.

אַךְ־כָּל־חֵ֡רֶם אֲשֶׁ֣ר יַחֲרִם֩ אִ֨ישׁ לַֽיהוָ֜ה מִכָּל־אֲשֶׁר־ל֗וֹ מֵאָדָ֤ם וּבְהֵמָה֙ וּמִשְּׂדֵ֣ה אֲחֻזָּת֔וֹ לֹ֥א יִמָּכֵ֖ר וְלֹ֣א יִגָּאֵ֑ל כָּל־חֵ֕רֶם קֹֽדֶשׁ־קָֽדָשִׁ֥ים ה֖וּא לַיהוָֽה׃

29
Phonetic (Hebrew): kּal-che֗rem 'ashshe֧r yachora֛m min-ha'ada֖m lo֣ yipּade֑h m֖ot yumaֽt׃
Edified Edition (EDE)No person devoted to destruction can be bought back; they must certainly be put to death."

כָּל־חֵ֗רֶם אֲשֶׁ֧ר יָחֳרַ֛ם מִן־הָאָדָ֖ם לֹ֣א יִפָּדֶ֑ה מ֖וֹת יוּמָֽת׃

30
Phonetic (Hebrew): vekal-ma'eshsa֨r ha'a֜retz mizּe֤ra ha'a֨retz֙ mipּeri֣y ha'e֔tz layhva֖h h֑u qo֖deshsh laֽyhvaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'"A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD.

וְכָל־מַעְשַׂ֨ר הָאָ֜רֶץ מִזֶּ֤רַע הָאָ֨רֶץ֙ מִפְּרִ֣י הָעֵ֔ץ לַיהוָ֖ה ה֑וּא קֹ֖דֶשׁ לַֽיהוָֽה׃

31
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'im-gּa'o֥l yige'a֛l 'i֖yshsh mimּaֽ'ashser֑o chamishshiyt֖o yose֥p 'alaֽyv׃
Edified Edition (EDE)If anyone wants to buy back some of their tithe, they must add a fifth of the value to it.

וְאִם־גָּאֹ֥ל יִגְאַ֛ל אִ֖ישׁ מִמַּֽעַשְׂר֑וֹ חֲמִשִׁית֖וֹ יֹסֵ֥ף עָלָֽיו׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vekal-ma'eshsa֤r bּaqar֙ vatzo֔'n kּo֥l 'ashsher-ya'abo֖r tּa֣chat hashshּa֑bet hֽa'ashsiyri֕y yiֽheyeh-qּo֖deshsh laֽyhvaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Every tenth animal from the herd or flock, every animal that passes under the shepherd's rod, will be holy to the LORD.

וְכָל־מַעְשַׂ֤ר בָּקָר֙ וָצֹ֔אן כֹּ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־יַעֲבֹ֖ר תַּ֣חַת הַשָּׁ֑בֶט הָֽעֲשִׂירִ֕י יִֽהְיֶה־קֹּ֖דֶשׁ לַֽיהוָֽה׃

33
Phonetic (Hebrew): lo֧ yebaqּe֛r bּeֽyn-t֥ob lara֖ velo֣ yemiyre֑nּu ve'im-hame֣r yemiyre֔nּu vehaֽyah-h֧u utemurat֛o yiֽheyeh-qo֖deshsh lo֥ yigּa'eֽl׃
Edified Edition (EDE)No one should pick out the good from the bad or make any substitution. If they do make a substitution, both the original and the replacement become holy and cannot be bought back."

לֹ֧א יְבַקֵּ֛ר בֵּֽין־ט֥וֹב לָרַ֖ע וְלֹ֣א יְמִירֶ֑נּוּ וְאִם־הָמֵ֣ר יְמִירֶ֔נּוּ וְהָֽיָה־ה֧וּא וּתְמוּרָת֛וֹ יִֽהְיֶה־קֹ֖דֶשׁ לֹ֥א יִגָּאֵֽל׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): e֣lּeh hamּitzevo֗t 'ashshe֨r tziua֧h yehva֛h 'et-moshshe֖h 'el-bּene֣y yishsera'e֑l bּeha֖r siynaֽy׃
Edified Edition (EDE)These are the commands the LORD gave Moses at Mount Sinai for the Israelites.

אֵ֣לֶּה הַמִּצְוֺ֗ת אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה אֶת־מֹשֶׁ֖ה אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל בְּהַ֖ר סִינָֽי׃
