Edified Edition (EDE)The LORD said to Moses:

וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃

2
Phonetic (Hebrew): dּabּer֙ 'el-bּene֣y yishsera'e֔l ve'amaretּa֖ 'alehe֑m kּi֣y tabo֗'u 'el-'e֨retz֙ moshshebo֣teyke֔m 'ashshe֥r 'ani֖y note֥n lakeֽm׃
Edified Edition (EDE)"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'After you enter the land I am giving you as a home

דַּבֵּר֙ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ אֲלֵהֶ֑ם כִּ֣י תָבֹ֗אוּ אֶל־אֶ֨רֶץ֙ מוֹשְׁבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲנִ֖י נֹתֵ֥ן לָכֶֽם׃

3
Phonetic (Hebrew): va'ashsiyte֨m 'ishshּe֤h laֽyhvah֙ 'ola֣h 'o-ze֔bach lepalּe'-ne֨der֙ '֣o binedaba֔h '֖o bּemo'adeyke֑m la'ashs֞ot re֤ycha niycho֨cha֙ laֽyhva֔h min-habּaqa֖r '֥o min-hatzּoֽ'n׃
Edified Edition (EDE)and you present to the LORD food offerings from the herd or flock, as a pleasant aroma to the LORD, whether burnt offerings or sacrifices, for special vows or freewill offerings or festival offerings,

וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֨ם אִשֶּׁ֤ה לַֽיהוָה֙ עֹלָ֣ה אוֹ־זֶ֔בַח לְפַלֵּא־נֶ֨דֶר֙ א֣וֹ בִנְדָבָ֔ה א֖וֹ בְּמֹעֲדֵיכֶ֑ם לַעֲשׂ֞וֹת רֵ֤יחַ נִיחֹ֨חַ֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה מִן־הַבָּקָ֖ר א֥וֹ מִן־הַצֹּֽאן׃

4
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehiqeri֛yb hamּaqeri֥yb qarebּan֖o laֽyhva֑h minechah֙ so֣let 'ishsּar֔on bּal֕ul bּirebi'i֥yt hahi֖yn shshaֽmen׃
Edified Edition (EDE)then the person who brings an offering shall present to the LORD a grain offering of two quarts of fine flour mixed with a quart of olive oil.

וְהִקְרִ֛יב הַמַּקְרִ֥יב קָרְבָּנ֖וֹ לַֽיהוָ֑ה מִנְחָה֙ סֹ֣לֶת עִשָּׂר֔וֹן בָּל֕וּל בִּרְבִעִ֥ית הַהִ֖ין שָֽׁמֶן׃

5
Phonetic (Hebrew): veya֤yin lanּe֨seke֙ rebiy'i֣yt hahi֔yn tּa'ashse֥h 'al-ha'ola֖h '֣o lazּa֑bach lakּe֖beshs ha'echaֽd׃
Edified Edition (EDE)With each lamb for the burnt offering or the sacrifice, prepare a quart of wine as a drink offering.

וְיַ֤יִן לַנֶּ֨סֶךְ֙ רְבִיעִ֣ית הַהִ֔ין תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה עַל־הָעֹלָ֖ה א֣וֹ לַזָּ֑בַח לַכֶּ֖בֶשׂ הָאֶחָֽד׃

6
Phonetic (Hebrew): ֤o la'a֨yil֙ tּa'ashse֣h minecha֔h so֖let shshene֣y 'eshseroni֑ym bּelula֥h bashshּe֖men shshelishshi֥yt hahiֽyn׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'With a ram prepare a grain offering of four quarts of fine flour mixed with one and a third quarts of olive oil,

א֤וֹ לָאַ֨יִל֙ תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה מִנְחָ֔ה סֹ֖לֶת שְׁנֵ֣י עֶשְׂרֹנִ֑ים בְּלוּלָ֥ה בַשֶּׁ֖מֶן שְׁלִשִׁ֥ית הַהִֽין׃

7
Phonetic (Hebrew): veya֥yin lanּe֖seke shshelishshi֣yt hahi֑yn tּaqeri֥yb reֽycha-niycho֖cha layhvaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)and a third of a gallon of wine as a drink offering. Offer it as a pleasant aroma to the LORD.

וְיַ֥יִן לַנֶּ֖סֶךְ שְׁלִשִׁ֣ית הַהִ֑ין תַּקְרִ֥יב רֵֽיחַ־נִיחֹ֖חַ לַיהוָֽה׃

8
Phonetic (Hebrew): vekiֽy-ta'ashse֥h ben-bּaqa֖r 'ola֣h 'o-za֑bach lepalּe'-ne֥der 'ֽo-shshelami֖ym laֽyhvaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'When you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, for a special vow or a peace offering to the LORD,

וְכִֽי־תַעֲשֶׂ֥ה בֶן־בָּקָ֖ר עֹלָ֣ה אוֹ־זָ֑בַח לְפַלֵּא־נֶ֥דֶר אֽוֹ־שְׁלָמִ֖ים לַֽיהוָֽה׃

9
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehiqeri֤yb 'al-bּen-habּaqar֙ minecha֔h so֖let shsheloshsha֣h 'eshseroni֑ym bּal֥ul bּashshּe֖men chatzi֥y hahiֽyn׃
Edified Edition (EDE)bring with the bull a grain offering of six quarts of fine flour mixed with two quarts of olive oil,

וְהִקְרִ֤יב עַל־בֶּן־הַבָּקָר֙ מִנְחָ֔ה סֹ֖לֶת שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה עֶשְׂרֹנִ֑ים בָּל֥וּל בַּשֶּׁ֖מֶן חֲצִ֥י הַהִֽין׃

10
Phonetic (Hebrew): veya֛yin tּaqeri֥yb lanּe֖seke chatzi֣y hahi֑yn 'ishshּe֥h reֽycha-niycho֖cha layhvaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)and also bring two quarts of wine as a drink offering. This will be an offering made by fire, a pleasant aroma to the LORD.

וְיַ֛יִן תַּקְרִ֥יב לַנֶּ֖סֶךְ חֲצִ֣י הַהִ֑ין אִשֵּׁ֥ה רֵֽיחַ־נִיחֹ֖חַ לַיהוָֽה׃

11
Phonetic (Hebrew): kּa֣kah ye'ashse֗h lashshּor֙ haֽ'echa֔d '֖o la'a֣yil ha'echa֑d 'ֽo-lashsּe֥h bakּebashsi֖ym '֥o ba'izּiֽym׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Each bull or ram, each lamb or young goat, is to be prepared in this manner.

כָּ֣כָה יֵעָשֶׂ֗ה לַשּׁוֹר֙ הָֽאֶחָ֔ד א֖וֹ לָאַ֣יִל הָאֶחָ֑ד אֽוֹ־לַשֶּׂ֥ה בַכְּבָשִׂ֖ים א֥וֹ בָעִזִּֽים׃

12
Phonetic (Hebrew): kּamּisepּa֖r 'ashshe֣r tּa'ashs֑u kּa֛kah tּa'ashs֥u la'echa֖d kּemisepּaraֽm׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Do this for each one, for as many as you prepare.

כַּמִּסְפָּ֖ר אֲשֶׁ֣ר תַּעֲשׂ֑וּ כָּ֛כָה תַּעֲשׂ֥וּ לָאֶחָ֖ד כְּמִסְפָּרָֽם׃

13
Phonetic (Hebrew): kּal-ha'ezera֥ch ya'ashseh-kּa֖kah 'et-'e֑lּeh lehaqeri֛yb 'ishshּe֥h reֽycha-niycho֖cha laֽyhvaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'Everyone who is native-born must do these things in this way when they present a food offering as a pleasant aroma to the LORD.

כָּל־הָאֶזְרָ֥ח יַעֲשֶׂה־כָּ֖כָה אֶת־אֵ֑לֶּה לְהַקְרִ֛יב אִשֵּׁ֥ה רֵֽיחַ־נִיחֹ֖חַ לַֽיהוָֽה׃

14
Phonetic (Hebrew): vekiֽy-yagur֩ 'itּeke֨m gּe֜r '֤o 'ashsheֽr-bּetֽokekem֙ ledoro֣teyke֔m ve'ashsa֛h 'ishshּe֥h reֽycha-niycho֖cha layhva֑h kּa'ashshe֥r tּa'ashs֖u kּe֥n ya'ashseֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)For the generations to come, whenever a foreigner or anyone else living among you presents a food offering as a pleasant aroma to the LORD, they must do exactly as you do.

וְכִֽי־יָגוּר֩ אִתְּכֶ֨ם גֵּ֜ר א֤וֹ אֲשֶֽׁר־בְּתֽוֹכְכֶם֙ לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם וְעָשָׂ֛ה אִשֵּׁ֥ה רֵֽיחַ־נִיחֹ֖חַ לַיהוָ֑ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּעֲשׂ֖וּ כֵּ֥ן יַעֲשֶֽׂה׃

15
Phonetic (Hebrew): haqּaha֕l chuqּa֥h 'acha֛t lake֖m velagּe֣r hagּa֑r chuqּa֤t 'olam֙ ledoro֣teyke֔m kּake֛m kּagּe֥r yiheye֖h lipene֥y yehvaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The community is to have the same rules for you and for the foreigner residing among you; this is a lasting regulation for the generations to come. You and the foreigner shall be the same before the LORD:

הַקָּהָ֕ל חֻקָּ֥ה אַחַ֛ת לָכֶ֖ם וְלַגֵּ֣ר הַגָּ֑ר חֻקַּ֤ת עוֹלָם֙ לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם כָּכֶ֛ם כַּגֵּ֥ר יִהְיֶ֖ה לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

16
Phonetic (Hebrew): tּora֥h 'acha֛t umishshepּa֥t 'echa֖d yiheye֣h lake֑m velagּe֖r hagּa֥r 'itּekeֽm׃p
Edified Edition (EDE)The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the foreigner residing among you.' "

תּוֹרָ֥ה אַחַ֛ת וּמִשְׁפָּ֥ט אֶחָ֖ד יִהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֑ם וְלַגֵּ֖ר הַגָּ֥ר אִתְּכֶֽם׃פ

17
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayedabּe֥r yehva֖h 'el-moshshe֥h lּe'moֽr׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The LORD said to Moses:

וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃

18
Phonetic (Hebrew): dּabּer֙ 'el-bּene֣y yishsera'e֔l ve'amaretּa֖ 'alehe֑m bּeboֽ'akem֙ 'el-ha'a֔retz 'ashshe֥r 'ani֛y mebi֥y 'eteke֖m shshaֽmּah׃
Edified Edition (EDE)"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When you enter the land to which I am taking you

דַּבֵּר֙ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ אֲלֵהֶ֑ם בְּבֹֽאֲכֶם֙ אֶל־הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲנִ֛י מֵבִ֥יא אֶתְכֶ֖ם שָֽׁמָּה׃

19
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehaya֕h bּa'akaleke֖m milּe֣chem ha'a֑retz tּari֥ymu teruma֖h layhvaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)and you eat the food of the land, present a portion as an offering to the LORD.

וְהָיָ֕ה בַּאֲכָלְכֶ֖ם מִלֶּ֣חֶם הָאָ֑רֶץ תָּרִ֥ימוּ תְרוּמָ֖ה לַיהוָֽה׃

20
Phonetic (Hebrew): re'shshiyt֙ 'ariso֣teke֔m chalּa֖h tּari֣ymu teruma֑h kּiteruma֣t gּo֔ren kּe֖n tּari֥ymu 'otaֽhּ׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Present a loaf from the first of your ground meal and offer it as an offering from the threshing floor.

רֵאשִׁית֙ עֲרִסֹ֣תֵכֶ֔ם חַלָּ֖ה תָּרִ֣ימוּ תְרוּמָ֑ה כִּתְרוּמַ֣ת גֹּ֔רֶן כֵּ֖ן תָּרִ֥ימוּ אֹתָֽהּ׃

21
Phonetic (Hebrew): mere'shshiyt֙ 'ariso֣teyke֔m tּitּen֥u layhva֖h tּeruma֑h ledoro֖teykeֽm׃s
Edified Edition (EDE)Throughout the generations to come you are to give this offering to the LORD from the first of your ground meal.

מֵרֵאשִׁית֙ עֲרִסֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם תִּתְּנ֥וּ לַיהוָ֖ה תְּרוּמָ֑ה לְדֹרֹ֖תֵיכֶֽם׃ס

22
Phonetic (Hebrew): veki֣y tishshegּ֔u velo֣ ta'ashs֔u 'e֥t kּal-hamּitzevo֖t ha'e֑lּeh 'ashsher-dּibּe֥r yehva֖h 'el-moshsheֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'Now if you as a community unintentionally fail to keep any of these commands the LORD gave Moses,

וְכִ֣י תִשְׁגּ֔וּ וְלֹ֣א תַעֲשׂ֔וּ אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַמִּצְוֺ֖ת הָאֵ֑לֶּה אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶֽׁה׃

23
Phonetic (Hebrew): et֩ kּal-'ashshe֨r tziua֧h yehva֛h 'aleyke֖m bּeyad-moshshe֑h min-hayּ֞om 'ashshe֨r tziua֧h yehva֛h vaha֖le'ah ledoroteykeֽm׃
Edified Edition (EDE)any of the LORD’s commands to you through him, from the day the LORD gave them and continuing through the generations to come,

אֵת֩ כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה אֲלֵיכֶ֖ם בְּיַד־מֹשֶׁ֑ה מִן־הַיּ֞וֹם אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה וָהָ֖לְאָה לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

24
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehaya֗h 'i֣m me'eyne֣y ha'edah֮ ne'eshseta֣h lishshegagah֒ ve'ashs֣u kal-ha'eda֡h pּa֣r bּen-bּaqar֩ 'echa֨d le'ola֜h lere֤ycha niycho֨cha֙ laֽyhva֔h uminechat֥o venisekּ֖o kּamּishshepּa֑t ushse'iyr-'izּi֥ym 'echa֖d lechatּaֽt׃
Edified Edition (EDE)and if this is done unintentionally without the community being aware of it, then the whole community is to offer a young bull for a burnt offering as a pleasant aroma to the LORD, with its prescribed grain offering and drink offering, and a male goat for a sin offering.

וְהָיָ֗ה אִ֣ם מֵעֵינֵ֣י הָעֵדָה֮ נֶעֶשְׂתָ֣ה לִשְׁגָגָה֒ וְעָשׂ֣וּ כָל־הָעֵדָ֡ה פַּ֣ר בֶּן־בָּקָר֩ אֶחָ֨ד לְעֹלָ֜ה לְרֵ֤יחַ נִיחֹ֨חַ֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה וּמִנְחָת֥וֹ וְנִסְכּ֖וֹ כַּמִּשְׁפָּ֑ט וּשְׂעִיר־עִזִּ֥ים אֶחָ֖ד לְחַטָּֽת׃

25
Phonetic (Hebrew): vekipּe֣r hakּohe֗n 'aֽl-kּal-'ada֛t bּene֥y yishsera'e֖l venisela֣ch lahe֑m kּiֽy-shshegaga֣h hi֔v vehem֩ hebi֨y'u 'et-qarebּana֜m 'ishshּe֣h laֽyhva֗h vechatּa'ta֛m lipene֥y yehva֖h 'al-shshigegataֽm׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The priest shall make atonement for the whole Israelite community, and they will be forgiven, for it was not intentional and they have presented to the LORD for their wrong a food offering and a sin offering.

וְכִפֶּ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֗ן עַֽל־כָּל־עֲדַ֛ת בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וְנִסְלַ֣ח לָהֶ֑ם כִּֽי־שְׁגָגָ֣ה הִ֔וא וְהֵם֩ הֵבִ֨יאוּ אֶת־קָרְבָּנָ֜ם אִשֶּׁ֣ה לַֽיהוָ֗ה וְחַטָּאתָ֛ם לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה עַל־שִׁגְגָתָֽם׃

26
Phonetic (Hebrew): venisela֗ch lekal-'adat֙ bּene֣y yishsera'e֔l velagּe֖r hagּa֣r bּetoka֑m kּi֥y lekal-ha'a֖m bּishshegagaֽh׃s
Edified Edition (EDE)The whole Israelite community and the foreigners residing among them will be forgiven, because all the people were involved in the unintentional wrong.

וְנִסְלַ֗ח לְכָל־עֲדַת֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְלַגֵּ֖ר הַגָּ֣ר בְּתוֹכָ֑ם כִּ֥י לְכָל־הָעָ֖ם בִּשְׁגָגָֽה׃ס

27
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'im-ne֥peshsh 'acha֖t tּecheta֣ bishshegaga֑h vehiqeri֛ybah 'e֥z bּat-shshenata֖hּ lechatּaֽ't׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'But if just one person sins unintentionally, that person must bring a year-old female goat for a sin offering.

וְאִם־נֶ֥פֶשׁ אַחַ֖ת תֶּחֱטָ֣א בִשְׁגָגָ֑ה וְהִקְרִ֛יבָה עֵ֥ז בַּת־שְׁנָתָ֖הּ לְחַטָּֽאת׃

28
Phonetic (Hebrew): vekipּe֣r hakּohe֗n 'al-hanּe֧peshsh hashshּoge֛get bּechete'a֥h bishshegaga֖h lipene֣y yehva֑h lekapּe֥r 'ala֖yv venisela֥ch lֽo׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The priest shall make atonement before the LORD for the person who erred by sinning unintentionally, and when atonement has been made, they will be forgiven.

וְכִפֶּ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֗ן עַל־הַנֶּ֧פֶשׁ הַשֹּׁגֶ֛גֶת בְּחֶטְאָ֥ה בִשְׁגָגָ֖ה לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה לְכַפֵּ֥ר עָלָ֖יו וְנִסְלַ֥ח לֽוֹ׃

29
Phonetic (Hebrew): haֽ'ezerach֙ bּibene֣y yishsera'e֔l velagּe֖r hagּa֣r bּetoka֑m tּora֤h 'achat֙ yiheye֣h lake֔m la'oshse֖h bּishshegagaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)One and the same law applies to everyone who sins unintentionally, whether a native-born Israelite or a foreigner residing among you.

הָֽאֶזְרָח֙ בִּבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְלַגֵּ֖ר הַגָּ֣ר בְּתוֹכָ֑ם תּוֹרָ֤ה אַחַת֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֔ם לָעֹשֶׂ֖ה בִּשְׁגָגָֽה׃

30
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehanּe֜peshsh 'ashsheֽr-tּa'ashse֣h ׀ bּeya֣d rama֗h min-haֽ'ezerach֙ umin-hagּe֔r 'et-yehva֖h h֣u megadּe֑p venikereta֛h hanּe֥peshsh hahi֖v miqּe֥reb 'amּaֽhּ׃
Edified Edition (EDE)'But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or foreigner, blasphemes the LORD and must be cut off from the people of Israel.

וְהַנֶּ֜פֶשׁ אֲשֶֽׁר־תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה ׀ בְּיָ֣ד רָמָ֗ה מִן־הָֽאֶזְרָח֙ וּמִן־הַגֵּ֔ר אֶת־יְהוָ֖ה ה֣וּא מְגַדֵּ֑ף וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַהִ֖וא מִקֶּ֥רֶב עַמָּֽהּ׃

31
Phonetic (Hebrew): kּi֤y debar-yehvah֙ bּaza֔h ve'et-mitzevat֖o hepa֑r hikּare֧t ׀ tּikּare֛t hanּe֥peshsh hahi֖v 'avona֥h baֽhּ׃p
Edified Edition (EDE)Because they have despised the LORD’s word and broken his commands, they must surely be cut off; their guilt remains on them.' "

כִּ֤י דְבַר־יְהוָה֙ בָּזָ֔ה וְאֶת־מִצְוָת֖וֹ הֵפַ֑ר הִכָּרֵ֧ת ׀ תִּכָּרֵ֛ת הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַהִ֖וא עֲוֺנָ֥ה בָֽהּ׃פ

32
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּihey֥u beneֽy-yishsera'e֖l bּamּidebּa֑r vaֽyּimetze'֗u 'i֛yshsh meqoshshe֥shsh 'etzi֖ym bּey֥om hashshּabּaֽt׃
Edified Edition (EDE)While the Israelites were in the wilderness, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day.

וַיִּהְי֥וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר וַֽיִּמְצְא֗וּ אִ֛ישׁ מְקֹשֵׁ֥שׁ עֵצִ֖ים בְּי֥וֹם הַשַּׁבָּֽת׃

33
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּaqeri֣ybu 'ot֔o hamּotze'i֥ym 'ot֖o meqoshshe֣shsh 'etzi֑ym 'el-moshsheh֙ ve'eֽl-'aharo֔n ve'e֖l kּal-ha'edaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly,

וַיַּקְרִ֣יבוּ אֹת֔וֹ הַמֹּצְאִ֥ים אֹת֖וֹ מְקֹשֵׁ֣שׁ עֵצִ֑ים אֶל־מֹשֶׁה֙ וְאֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֔ן וְאֶ֖ל כָּל־הָעֵדָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּanּi֥ychu 'ot֖o bּamּishshema֑r kּi֚y lo֣ pora֔shsh mah-yּe'ashse֖h lֽo׃s
Edified Edition (EDE)and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him.

וַיַּנִּ֥יחוּ אֹת֖וֹ בַּמִּשְׁמָ֑ר כִּ֚י לֹ֣א פֹרַ֔שׁ מַה־יֵּעָשֶׂ֖ה לֽוֹ׃ס

35
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּo֤'mer yehvah֙ 'el-moshshe֔h m֥ot yuma֖t ha'i֑yshsh rag֨om 'ot֤o baֽ'abaniym֙ kּal-ha֣'eda֔h mich֖utz laֽmּachaneֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp."

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה מ֥וֹת יוּמַ֖ת הָאִ֑ישׁ רָג֨וֹם אֹת֤וֹ בָֽאֲבָנִים֙ כָּל־הָ֣עֵדָ֔ה מִח֖וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃

36
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּotzi֨y'u 'ot֜o kּal-ha'eda֗h 'el-michutz֙ laֽmּachane֔h vayּiregּem֥u 'ot֛o bּa'abani֖ym vayּamo֑t kּa'ashshe֛r tziua֥h yehva֖h 'et-moshsheֽh׃p
Edified Edition (EDE)So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses.

וַיֹּצִ֨יאוּ אֹת֜וֹ כָּל־הָעֵדָ֗ה אֶל־מִחוּץ֙ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה וַיִּרְגְּמ֥וּ אֹת֛וֹ בָּאֲבָנִ֖ים וַיָּמֹ֑ת כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה׃פ

Edified Edition (EDE)The LORD said to Moses:

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃

38
Phonetic (Hebrew): dּabּe֞r 'el-bּene֤y yishsera'el֙ ve'amaretּa֣ 'alehe֔m ve'ashs֨u lahe֥m tziytzi֛t 'al-kּanepe֥y bigedeyhe֖m ledorota֑m venaֽten֛u 'al-tziytzi֥t hakּana֖p pּeti֥yl tּekeֽlet׃
Edified Edition (EDE)"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel.

דַּבֵּ֞ר אֶל־בְּנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵהֶ֔ם וְעָשׂ֨וּ לָהֶ֥ם צִיצִ֛ת עַל־כַּנְפֵ֥י בִגְדֵיהֶ֖ם לְדֹרֹתָ֑ם וְנָֽתְנ֛וּ עַל־צִיצִ֥ת הַכָּנָ֖ף פְּתִ֥יל תְּכֵֽלֶת׃

39
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehaya֣h lakem֮ letziytzit֒ ure'iyte֣m 'ot֗o uzekaretּem֙ 'et-kּal-mitzevo֣t yehva֔h va'ashsiyte֖m 'ota֑m veloֽ'-tatu֜ru 'achare֤y lebabekem֙ ve'achare֣y 'eֽyneyke֔m 'ashsher-'atּe֥m zoni֖ym 'achareyheֽm׃
Edified Edition (EDE)You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the LORD, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.

וְהָיָ֣ה לָכֶם֮ לְצִיצִת֒ וּרְאִיתֶ֣ם אֹת֗וֹ וּזְכַרְתֶּם֙ אֶת־כָּל־מִצְוֺ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם אֹתָ֑ם וְלֹֽא־תָתֻ֜רוּ אַחֲרֵ֤י לְבַבְכֶם֙ וְאַחֲרֵ֣י עֵֽינֵיכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־אַתֶּ֥ם זֹנִ֖ים אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): lema֣'an tּizekּer֔u va'ashsiyte֖m 'et-kּal-mitzevota֑y viheyiyte֥m qedoshshi֖ym leֽ'loheykeֽm׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be holy to your God.

לְמַ֣עַן תִּזְכְּר֔וּ וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם אֶת־כָּל־מִצְוֺתָ֑י וִהְיִיתֶ֥ם קְדֹשִׁ֖ים לֵֽאלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

41
Phonetic (Hebrew): ani֞y yehva֣h 'eloֽheyke֗m 'ashshe֨r hotze֤'tiy 'etekem֙ me'e֣retz mitzera֔yim lihey֥ot lake֖m le'lohi֑ym 'ani֖y yehva֥h 'eloheykeֽm׃p
Edified Edition (EDE)I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God.' "

אֲנִ֞י יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֗ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר הוֹצֵ֤אתִי אֶתְכֶם֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם לִהְי֥וֹת לָכֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִ֑ים אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃פ
