Phonetic (Hebrew): vayedabּe֥r yehva֖h 'el-moshshe֥h lּe'moֽr׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The LORD said to Moses,

וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): tza֚v 'et-bּene֣y yishsera'e֔l ve'amaretּa֖ 'alehe֑m 'et-qarebּani֨y lachemi֜y le'ishshּa֗y re֚ycha niֽychochi֔y tּishshemer֕u lehaqeri֥yb li֖y bּemo'adֽo׃

Edified Edition (EDE)"Give this command to the Israelites and say to them: 'See that you present to me at the appointed time my food offerings, an aroma pleasing to me.'

צַ֚ו אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ אֲלֵהֶ֑ם אֶת־קָרְבָּנִ֨י לַחְמִ֜י לְאִשַּׁ֗י רֵ֚יחַ נִֽיחֹחִ֔י תִּשְׁמְר֕וּ לְהַקְרִ֥יב לִ֖י בְּמוֹעֲדֽוֹ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'amaretּa֣ lahe֔m ze֚h haֽ'ishshּe֔h 'ashshe֥r tּaqeri֖ybu layhva֑h kּebashsi֨ym bּeneֽy-shshana֧h temiymi֛m shshena֥yim layּ֖om 'ola֥h tamiֽyd׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Say to them: 'This is the food offering you are to present to the LORD: two male lambs a year old without defect, as a regular burnt offering each day.

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ לָהֶ֔ם זֶ֚ה הָֽאִשֶּׁ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּקְרִ֖יבוּ לַיהוָ֑ה כְּבָשִׂ֨ים בְּנֵֽי־שָׁנָ֧ה תְמִימִ֛ם שְׁנַ֥יִם לַיּ֖וֹם עֹלָ֥ה תָמִֽיד׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): et-hakּe֥beshs 'echa֖d tּa'ashse֣h babּo֑qer ve'et֙ hakּe֣beshs hashshּeni֔y tּa'ashse֖h bּe֥yn haֽ'arebּaֽyim׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Offer one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight,

אֶת־הַכֶּ֥בֶשׂ אֶחָ֖ד תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה בַבֹּ֑קֶר וְאֵת֙ הַכֶּ֣בֶשׂ הַשֵּׁנִ֔י תַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה בֵּ֥ין הָֽעַרְבָּֽיִם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): va'ashsiyri֧yt ha'eypa֛h so֖let leminecha֑h bּelula֛h bּeshshe֥men kּati֖yt rebiy'i֥t hahiֽyn׃

Edified Edition (EDE)together with a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil from pressed olives.

וַעֲשִׂירִ֧ית הָאֵיפָ֛ה סֹ֖לֶת לְמִנְחָ֑ה בְּלוּלָ֛ה בְּשֶׁ֥מֶן כָּתִ֖ית רְבִיעִ֥ת הַהִֽין׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ola֖t tּami֑yd ha'ashsuyah֙ bּeha֣r siyna֔y lere֣ycha niycho֔cha 'ishshּe֖h laֽyhvaֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)This is the regular burnt offering ordained at Mount Sinai as a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the LORD.

עֹלַ֖ת תָּמִ֑יד הָעֲשֻׂיָה֙ בְּהַ֣ר סִינַ֔י לְרֵ֣יחַ נִיחֹ֔חַ אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַֽיהוָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): venisekּo֙ rebiy'i֣t hahi֔yn lakּe֖beshs ha'echa֑d bּaqּo֗deshsh hasּe֛ke ne֥seke shsheka֖r layhvaֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The accompanying drink offering is to be a quarter of a hin of fermented drink with each lamb. Pour out the drink offering to the LORD at the sanctuary.

וְנִסְכּוֹ֙ רְבִיעִ֣ת הַהִ֔ין לַכֶּ֖בֶשׂ הָאֶחָ֑ד בַּקֹּ֗דֶשׁ הַסֵּ֛ךְ נֶ֥סֶךְ שֵׁכָ֖ר לַיהוָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'et֙ hakּe֣beshs hashshּeni֔y tּa'ashse֖h bּe֣yn haֽ'arebּa֑yim kּeminecha֨t habּo֤qer ukenisekּo֙ tּa'ashse֔h 'ishshּe֛h re֥ycha niycho֖cha layhvaֽh׃p

Edified Edition (EDE)Offer the second lamb at twilight with the same grain offering and drink offering as in the morning, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.

וְאֵת֙ הַכֶּ֣בֶשׂ הַשֵּׁנִ֔י תַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה בֵּ֣ין הָֽעַרְבָּ֑יִם כְּמִנְחַ֨ת הַבֹּ֤קֶר וּכְנִסְכּוֹ֙ תַּעֲשֶׂ֔ה אִשֵּׁ֛ה רֵ֥יחַ נִיחֹ֖חַ לַיהוָֽה׃פ

Phonetic (Hebrew): ubeyom֙ hashshּabּa֔t shsheneֽy-kebashsi֥ym bּeneֽy-shshana֖h tּemiymi֑m ushshene֣y 'eshseroni֗ym so֧let minecha֛h bּelula֥h bashshּe֖men venisekּֽo׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'On the Sabbath day, make an offering of two male lambs a year old without defect, together with a drink offering and a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with olive oil.

וּבְיוֹם֙ הַשַּׁבָּ֔ת שְׁנֵֽי־כְבָשִׂ֥ים בְּנֵֽי־שָׁנָ֖ה תְּמִימִ֑ם וּשְׁנֵ֣י עֶשְׂרֹנִ֗ים סֹ֧לֶת מִנְחָ֛ה בְּלוּלָ֥ה בַשֶּׁ֖מֶן וְנִסְכּֽוֹ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ola֥t shshabּa֖t bּeshshabּatּ֑o 'al-'ola֥t hatּami֖yd venisekּaֽhּ׃s

Edified Edition (EDE)This is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.

עֹלַ֥ת שַׁבַּ֖ת בְּשַׁבַּתּ֑וֹ עַל־עֹלַ֥ת הַתָּמִ֖יד וְנִסְכָּֽהּ׃ס

Phonetic (Hebrew): ubera'shshey֙ chadeshsheyke֔m tּaqeri֥ybu 'ola֖h layhva֑h pּari֨ym bּeneֽy-baqa֤r shshena֨yim֙ ve'a֣yil 'echa֔d kּebashsi֧ym bּeney-shshana֛h shshibe'a֖h tּemiymiֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'On the first of every month, present to the LORD a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.

וּבְרָאשֵׁי֙ חָדְשֵׁיכֶ֔ם תַּקְרִ֥יבוּ עֹלָ֖ה לַיהוָ֑ה פָּרִ֨ים בְּנֵֽי־בָקָ֤ר שְׁנַ֨יִם֙ וְאַ֣יִל אֶחָ֔ד כְּבָשִׂ֧ים בְּנֵי־שָׁנָ֛ה שִׁבְעָ֖ה תְּמִימִֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ushsheloshsha֣h 'eshseroni֗ym so֤let minechah֙ bּelula֣h bashshּe֔men lapּa֖r ha'echa֑d ushshene֣y 'eshseroni֗ym so֤let minechah֙ bּelula֣h bashshּe֔men la'a֖yil haֽ'echaֽd׃

Edified Edition (EDE)With each bull there is to be a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil;

וּשְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה עֶשְׂרֹנִ֗ים סֹ֤לֶת מִנְחָה֙ בְּלוּלָ֣ה בַשֶּׁ֔מֶן לַפָּ֖ר הָאֶחָ֑ד וּשְׁנֵ֣י עֶשְׂרֹנִ֗ים סֹ֤לֶת מִנְחָה֙ בְּלוּלָ֣ה בַשֶּׁ֔מֶן לָאַ֖יִל הָֽאֶחָֽד׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'ishsּaro֣n 'ishsּar֗on so֤let minechah֙ bּelula֣h bashshּe֔men lakּe֖beshs ha'echa֑d 'olah֙ re֣ycha niycho֔cha 'ishshּe֖h layhvaֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)and with each lamb, a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil. This is for a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the LORD.

וְעִשָּׂרֹ֣ן עִשָּׂר֗וֹן סֹ֤לֶת מִנְחָה֙ בְּלוּלָ֣ה בַשֶּׁ֔מֶן לַכֶּ֖בֶשׂ הָאֶחָ֑ד עֹלָה֙ רֵ֣יחַ נִיחֹ֔חַ אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַיהוָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): venisekּeyhe֗m chatzi֣y hahiyn֩ yiheye֨h lapּa֜r ushsheliyshshi֧t hahi֣yn la'a֗yil urebiy'i֥t hahi֛yn lakּe֖beshs ya֑yin zo֣'t 'ola֥t cho֨deshsh֙ bּechadeshsh֔o lechadeshshe֖y hashshּanaֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)With each bull there is to be a drink offering of half a hin of wine; with the ram, a third of a hin; and with each lamb, a quarter of a hin. This is the monthly burnt offering to be made at each new moon during the year.

וְנִסְכֵּיהֶ֗ם חֲצִ֣י הַהִין֩ יִהְיֶ֨ה לַפָּ֜ר וּשְׁלִישִׁ֧ת הַהִ֣ין לָאַ֗יִל וּרְבִיעִ֥ת הַהִ֛ין לַכֶּ֖בֶשׂ יָ֑יִן זֹ֣את עֹלַ֥ת חֹ֨דֶשׁ֙ בְּחָדְשׁ֔וֹ לְחָדְשֵׁ֖י הַשָּׁנָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ushse'i֨yr 'izּi֥ym 'echa֛d lechatּa֖'t layhva֑h 'al-'ola֧t hatּami֛yd ye'ashse֖h venisekּֽo׃s

Edified Edition (EDE)Besides the regular burnt offering with its drink offering, one male goat is to be presented to the LORD as a sin offering.

וּשְׂעִ֨יר עִזִּ֥ים אֶחָ֛ד לְחַטָּ֖את לַיהוָ֑ה עַל־עֹלַ֧ת הַתָּמִ֛יד יֵעָשֶׂ֖ה וְנִסְכּֽוֹ׃ס

Phonetic (Hebrew): ubacho֣deshsh hari'shsh֗on bּe'arebּa'a֥h 'ashsa֛r y֖om lacho֑deshsh pּe֖sach layhvaֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'On the fourteenth day of the first month the LORD’s Passover is to be held.

וּבַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הָרִאשׁ֗וֹן בְּאַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֛ר י֖וֹם לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ פֶּ֖סַח לַיהוָֽה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ubachamishshּa֨h 'ashsa֥r y֛om lacho֥deshsh hazּe֖h cha֑g shshibe'a֣t yami֔ym matzּ֖ot ye'akeֽl׃

Edified Edition (EDE)On the fifteenth day of this month there is to be a festival; for seven days eat bread made without yeast.

וּבַחֲמִשָּׁ֨ה עָשָׂ֥ר י֛וֹם לַחֹ֥דֶשׁ הַזֶּ֖ה חָ֑ג שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֔ים מַצּ֖וֹת יֵאָכֵֽל׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): bּayּ֥om hari'shsh֖on miqera'-qo֑deshsh kּal-mele֥'ket 'aboda֖h lo֥ ta'ashsֽu׃

Edified Edition (EDE)On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.

בַּיּ֥וֹם הָרִאשׁ֖וֹן מִקְרָא־קֹ֑דֶשׁ כָּל־מְלֶ֥אכֶת עֲבֹדָ֖ה לֹ֥א תַעֲשֽׂוּ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vehiqerabetּe֨m 'ishshּe֤h 'olah֙ laֽyhva֔h pּari֧ym bּeney-baqa֛r shshena֖yim ve'a֣yil 'echa֑d veshshibe'a֤h kebashsiym֙ bּene֣y shshana֔h tּemiymi֖m yihey֥u lakeֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Present to the LORD a food offering consisting of a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.

וְהִקְרַבְתֶּ֨ם אִשֶּׁ֤ה עֹלָה֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה פָּרִ֧ים בְּנֵי־בָקָ֛ר שְׁנַ֖יִם וְאַ֣יִל אֶחָ֑ד וְשִׁבְעָ֤ה כְבָשִׂים֙ בְּנֵ֣י שָׁנָ֔ה תְּמִימִ֖ם יִהְי֥וּ לָכֶֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): umi֨nechata֔m so֖let bּelula֣h bashshּa֑men shsheloshsha֨h 'eshseroni֜ym lapּa֗r ushshene֧y 'eshseroni֛ym la'a֖yil tּa'ashsֽu׃

Edified Edition (EDE)With each bull offer a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two-tenths;

וּמִ֨נְחָתָ֔ם סֹ֖לֶת בְּלוּלָ֣ה בַשָּׁ֑מֶן שְׁלֹשָׁ֨ה עֶשְׂרֹנִ֜ים לַפָּ֗ר וּשְׁנֵ֧י עֶשְׂרֹנִ֛ים לָאַ֖יִל תַּעֲשֽׂוּ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ishsּar֤on 'ishsּaron֙ tּa'ashse֔h lakּe֖beshs ha'echa֑d leshshibe'a֖t hakּebashsiֽym׃

Edified Edition (EDE)and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.

עִשָּׂר֤וֹן עִשָּׂרוֹן֙ תַּעֲשֶׂ֔ה לַכֶּ֖בֶשׂ הָאֶחָ֑ד לְשִׁבְעַ֖ת הַכְּבָשִֽׂים׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ushse'i֥yr chatּa֖'t 'echa֑d lekapּe֖r 'aleykeֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Include one male goat as a sin offering to make atonement for you.

וּשְׂעִ֥יר חַטָּ֖את אֶחָ֑ד לְכַפֵּ֖ר עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): milּebad֙ 'ola֣t habּo֔qer 'ashshe֖r le'ola֣t hatּami֑yd tּa'ashs֖u 'et-'eֽlּeh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Offer these in addition to the regular morning burnt offering.

מִלְּבַד֙ עֹלַ֣ת הַבֹּ֔קֶר אֲשֶׁ֖ר לְעֹלַ֣ת הַתָּמִ֑יד תַּעֲשׂ֖וּ אֶת־אֵֽלֶּה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): kּa'e֜lּeh tּa'ashs֤u layּom֙ shshibe'a֣t yami֔ym le֛chem 'ishshּe֥h reֽycha-niycho֖cha layhva֑h 'al-'ola֧t hatּami֛yd ye'ashse֖h venisekּֽo׃

Edified Edition (EDE)In this way present the food offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD each day for seven days; it is to be offered in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.

כָּאֵ֜לֶּה תַּעֲשׂ֤וּ לַיּוֹם֙ שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֔ים לֶ֛חֶם אִשֵּׁ֥ה רֵֽיחַ־נִיחֹ֖חַ לַיהוָ֑ה עַל־עוֹלַ֧ת הַתָּמִ֛יד יֵעָשֶׂ֖ה וְנִסְכּֽוֹ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ubayּom֙ hashshּebiy'i֔y miqera'-qo֖deshsh yiheye֣h lake֑m kּal-mele֥'ket 'aboda֖h lo֥ ta'ashsֽu׃s

Edified Edition (EDE)On the seventh day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.

וּבַיּוֹם֙ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י מִקְרָא־קֹ֖דֶשׁ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֑ם כָּל־מְלֶ֥אכֶת עֲבֹדָ֖ה לֹ֥א תַעֲשֽׂוּ׃ס

Phonetic (Hebrew): ubey֣om habּikּuri֗ym bּehaqeri֨ybeke֜m minecha֤h chadashshah֙ laֽyhva֔h bּeshshabu'o֖teyke֑m miֽqera'-qo֨deshsh֙ yiheye֣h lake֔m kּal-mele֥'ket 'aboda֖h lo֥ ta'ashsֽu׃

Edified Edition (EDE)'On the day of firstfruits, when you present to the LORD an offering of new grain during the Festival of Weeks, hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.

וּבְי֣וֹם הַבִּכּוּרִ֗ים בְּהַקְרִ֨יבְכֶ֜ם מִנְחָ֤ה חֲדָשָׁה֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה בְּשָׁבֻעֹ֖תֵיכֶ֑ם מִֽקְרָא־קֹ֨דֶשׁ֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֔ם כָּל־מְלֶ֥אכֶת עֲבֹדָ֖ה לֹ֥א תַעֲשֽׂוּ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vehiqerabetּe֨m 'ola֜h lere֤ycha niycho֨cha֙ laֽyhva֔h pּari֧ym bּeney-baqa֛r shshena֖yim 'a֣yil 'echa֑d shshibe'a֥h kebashsi֖ym bּene֥y shshanaֽh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Offer these together with their drink offerings, addition to the regular burnt offering and its grain offering. Be sure the animals are without defect.

מִלְּבַ֞ד עֹלַ֧ת הַתָּמִ֛יד וּמִנְחָת֖וֹ תַּעֲשׂ֑וּ תְּמִימִ֥ם יִהְיוּ־לָכֶ֖ם וְנִסְכֵּיהֶֽם׃פ
