Chapter 29

Phonetic (Hebrew): ubacho֨deshsh hashshּebiy'i֜y bּe'echa֣d lacho֗deshsh miֽqera'-qo֨deshsh֙ yiheye֣h lake֔m kּal-mele֥'ket 'aboda֖h lo֣ ta'ashs֑u y֥om tּeru'a֖h yiheye֥h lakeֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)" 'On the first day of the seventh month hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. It is a day for you to blast the trumpets.

וּבַחֹ֨דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֜י בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֗דֶשׁ מִֽקְרָא־קֹ֨דֶשׁ֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֔ם כָּל־מְלֶ֥אכֶת עֲבֹדָ֖ה לֹ֣א תַעֲשׂ֑וּ י֥וֹם תְּרוּעָ֖ה יִהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): va'ashsiyte֨m 'ola֜h lere֤ycha niycho֨cha֙ laֽyhva֔h pּa֧r bּen-bּaqa֛r 'echa֖d 'a֣yil 'echa֑d kּebashsi֧ym bּeney-shshana֛h shshibe'a֖h tּemiymiֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)As an aroma pleasing to the LORD, offer a burnt offering of one young bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.

וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֨ם עֹלָ֜ה לְרֵ֤יחַ נִיחֹ֨חַ֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה פַּ֧ר בֶּן־בָּקָ֛ר אֶחָ֖ד אַ֣יִל אֶחָ֑ד כְּבָשִׂ֧ים בְּנֵי־שָׁנָ֛ה שִׁבְעָ֖ה תְּמִימִֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): uminechata֔m so֖let bּelula֣h bashshּa֑men shsheloshsha֤h 'eshseroniym֙ lapּa֔r shshene֥y 'eshseroni֖ym la'aֽyil׃

Edified Edition (EDE)With the bull offer a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two-tenths;

וּמִנְחָתָ֔ם סֹ֖לֶת בְּלוּלָ֣ה בַשָּׁ֑מֶן שְׁלֹשָׁ֤ה עֶשְׂרֹנִים֙ לַפָּ֔ר שְׁנֵ֥י עֶשְׂרֹנִ֖ים לָאָֽיִל׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'ishsּar֣on 'echa֔d lakּe֖beshs ha'echa֑d leshshibe'a֖t hakּebashsiֽym׃

Edified Edition (EDE)and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.

וְעִשָּׂר֣וֹן אֶחָ֔ד לַכֶּ֖בֶשׂ הָאֶחָ֑ד לְשִׁבְעַ֖ת הַכְּבָשִֽׂים׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ushse'iyr-'izּi֥ym 'echa֖d chatּa֑'t lekapּe֖r 'aleykeֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Include one male goat as a sin offering to make atonement for you.

וּשְׂעִיר־עִזִּ֥ים אֶחָ֖ד חַטָּ֑את לְכַפֵּ֖ר עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): milּebad֩ 'ola֨t hacho֜deshsh uminechata֗hּ ve'ola֤t hatּamiyd֙ uminechata֔hּ venisekּeyhe֖m kּemishshepּata֑m lere֣ycha niycho֔cha 'ishshּe֖h layhvaֽh׃s

Edified Edition (EDE)These are in addition to the monthly and daily burnt offerings with their grain offerings and drink offerings, as specified. They are food offerings presented to the LORD as a pleasing aroma.

מִלְּבַד֩ עֹלַ֨ת הַחֹ֜דֶשׁ וּמִנְחָתָ֗הּ וְעֹלַ֤ת הַתָּמִיד֙ וּמִנְחָתָ֔הּ וְנִסְכֵּיהֶ֖ם כְּמִשְׁפָּטָ֑ם לְרֵ֣יחַ נִיחֹ֔חַ אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַיהוָֽה׃ס

Phonetic (Hebrew): ube'ashsor֩ lacho֨deshsh hashshּebiy'i֜y hazּe֗h miֽqera'-qo֨deshsh֙ yiheye֣h lake֔m ve'inּiyte֖m 'et-napeshshoteyke֑m kּal-mela'ka֖h lo֥ ta'ashsֽu׃

שְׂעִיר־עִזִּ֥ים אֶחָ֖ד חַטָּ֑את מִלְּבַ֞ד חַטַּ֤את הַכִּפֻּרִים֙ וְעֹלַ֣ת הַתָּמִ֔יד וּמִנְחָתָ֖הּ וְנִסְכֵּיהֶֽם׃פ

Phonetic (Hebrew): ubachamishshּah֩ 'ashsa֨r y֜om lacho֣deshsh hashshּebiy'i֗y miֽqera'-qo֨deshsh֙ yiheye֣h lake֔m kּal-mele֥'ket 'aboda֖h lo֣ ta'ashs֑u vechagּote֥m cha֛g layhva֖h shshibe'a֥t yamiֽym׃

Edified Edition (EDE)" 'On the fifteenth day of the seventh month hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. Celebrate a festival to the LORD for seven days.

וּבַחֲמִשָּׁה֩ עָשָׂ֨ר י֜וֹם לַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗י מִֽקְרָא־קֹ֨דֶשׁ֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֔ם כָּל־מְלֶ֥אכֶת עֲבֹדָ֖ה לֹ֣א תַעֲשׂ֑וּ וְחַגֹּתֶ֥ם חַ֛ג לַיהוָ֖ה שִׁבְעַ֥ת יָמִֽים׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vehiqerabetּe֨m 'ola֜h 'ishshּe֨h re֤ycha niycho֨cha֙ laֽyhva֔h pּari֧ym bּeney-baqa֛r shsheloshsha֥h 'ashsa֖r 'eyli֣m shshena֑yim kּebashsi֧ym bּeneֽy-shshana֛h 'arebּa'a֥h 'ashsa֖r tּemiymi֥m yiheyֽu׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Present as a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD, a burnt offering of thirteen young bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.

וְהִקְרַבְתֶּ֨ם עֹלָ֜ה אִשֵּׁ֨ה רֵ֤יחַ נִיחֹ֨חַ֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה פָּרִ֧ים בְּנֵי־בָקָ֛ר שְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר אֵילִ֣ם שְׁנָ֑יִם כְּבָשִׂ֧ים בְּנֵֽי־שָׁנָ֛ה אַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר תְּמִימִ֥ם יִהְיֽוּ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): uminechata֔m so֖let bּelula֣h bashshּa֑men shsheloshsha֨h 'eshseroni֜ym lapּa֣r haֽ'echa֗d lishsheloshsha֤h 'ashsar֙ pּari֔ym shshene֤y 'eshseroniym֙ la'a֣yil haֽ'echa֔d lishshene֖y ha'eyliֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)With each of the thirteen bulls offer a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with each of the two rams, two-tenths;

וּמִנְחָתָ֔ם סֹ֖לֶת בְּלוּלָ֣ה בַשָּׁ֑מֶן שְׁלֹשָׁ֨ה עֶשְׂרֹנִ֜ים לַפָּ֣ר הָֽאֶחָ֗ד לִשְׁלֹשָׁ֤ה עָשָׂר֙ פָּרִ֔ים שְׁנֵ֤י עֶשְׂרֹנִים֙ לָאַ֣יִל הָֽאֶחָ֔ד לִשְׁנֵ֖י הָאֵילִֽם׃

Edified Edition (EDE)" 'On the second day offer twelve young bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.

וּבַיּ֣וֹם הַשֵּׁנִ֗י פָּרִ֧ים בְּנֵי־בָקָ֛ר שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָׂ֖ר אֵילִ֣ם שְׁנָ֑יִם כְּבָשִׂ֧ים בְּנֵי־שָׁנָ֛ה אַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר תְּמִימִֽם׃

וּבַיּ֧וֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֛י פָּרִ֥ים עַשְׁתֵּי־עָשָׂ֖ר אֵילִ֣ם שְׁנָ֑יִם כְּבָשִׂ֧ים בְּנֵי־שָׁנָ֛ה אַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר תְּמִימִֽם׃

וּבַיּ֧וֹם הָרְבִיעִ֛י פָּרִ֥ים עֲשָׂרָ֖ה אֵילִ֣ם שְׁנָ֑יִם כְּבָשִׂ֧ים בְּנֵֽי־שָׁנָ֛ה אַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר תְּמִימִֽם׃

וּבַיּ֧וֹם הַחֲמִישִׁ֛י פָּרִ֥ים תִּשְׁעָ֖ה אֵילִ֣ם שְׁנָ֑יִם כְּבָשִׂ֧ים בְּנֵֽי־שָׁנָ֛ה אַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר תְּמִימִֽם׃

בַּיּוֹם֙ הַשְּׁמִינִ֔י עֲצֶ֖רֶת תִּהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֑ם כָּל־מְלֶ֥אכֶת עֲבֹדָ֖ה לֹ֥א תַעֲשֽׂוּ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vehiqerabetּe֨m 'ola֜h 'ishshּe֨h re֤ycha niycho֨cha֙ laֽyhva֔h pּa֥r 'echa֖d 'a֣yil 'echa֑d kּebashsi֧ym bּeney-shshana֛h shshibe'a֖h tּemiymiֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Present as a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD, a burnt offering of one bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.

וְהִקְרַבְתֶּ֨ם עֹלָ֜ה אִשֵּׁ֨ה רֵ֤יחַ נִיחֹ֨חַ֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה פַּ֥ר אֶחָ֖ד אַ֣יִל אֶחָ֑ד כְּבָשִׂ֧ים בְּנֵי־שָׁנָ֛ה שִׁבְעָ֖ה תְּמִימִֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): minechata֣m venisekּeyhe֗m lapּa֨r la'a֧yil velakּebashsi֛ym bּemisepּara֖m kּamּishshepּaֽt׃

Edified Edition (EDE)With the bull, ram and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified.

מִנְחָתָ֣ם וְנִסְכֵּיהֶ֗ם לַפָּ֨ר לָאַ֧יִל וְלַכְּבָשִׂ֛ים בְּמִסְפָּרָ֖ם כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ushse'i֥yr chatּa֖'t 'echa֑d milּebad֙ 'ola֣t hatּami֔yd uminechata֖hּ venisekּaֽhּ׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

וּשְׂעִ֥יר חַטָּ֖את אֶחָ֑ד מִלְּבַד֙ עֹלַ֣ת הַתָּמִ֔יד וּמִנְחָתָ֖הּ וְנִסְכָּֽהּ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): e֛lּeh tּa'ashs֥u layhva֖h bּemo'adeyke֑m leba֨d minּidereyke֜m venideboteyke֗m le'oloֽteykem֙ uleminecho֣teyke֔m ulenisekּeyke֖m uleshshalemeykeֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)" 'In addition to what you vow and your freewill offerings, offer these to the LORD at your appointed festivals: your burnt offerings, grain offerings, drink offerings and fellowship offerings.' "

אֵ֛לֶּה תַּעֲשׂ֥וּ לַיהוָ֖ה בְּמוֹעֲדֵיכֶ֑ם לְבַ֨ד מִנִּדְרֵיכֶ֜ם וְנִדְבֹתֵיכֶ֗ם לְעֹלֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ וּלְמִנְחֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם וּלְנִסְכֵּיכֶ֖ם וּלְשַׁלְמֵיכֶֽם׃
