Phonetic (Hebrew): vayedabּe֥r yehva֖h 'el-moshshe֥h lּe'moֽr׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The LORD said to Moses:

וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃

2
Phonetic (Hebrew): tza֚v 'et-bּene֣y yishsera'e֔l viֽyshshalּechu֙ min-haֽmּachane֔h kּal-tzar֖u'a vekal-za֑b veko֖l tame֥ lanaֽpeshsh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)"Command the Israelites to remove from the camp anyone who has a contagious skin disease, anyone who has a bodily discharge, and anyone who is ceremonially unclean because of a dead body.

צַ֚ו אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וִֽישַׁלְּחוּ֙ מִן־הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה כָּל־צָר֖וּעַ וְכָל־זָ֑ב וְכֹ֖ל טָמֵ֥א לָנָֽפֶשׁ׃

3
Phonetic (Hebrew): mizּaka֤r 'ad-neqebah֙ tּeshshalּe֔chu 'el-mich֥utz laֽmּachane֖h tּeshshalּech֑um velo֤ yetamּe'u֙ 'et-ma֣chaneyhe֔m 'ashshe֥r 'ani֖y shshoke֥n bּetokaֽm׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Remove both men and women; send them outside the camp so they will not defile the place where I dwell among them."

מִזָּכָ֤ר עַד־נְקֵבָה֙ תְּשַׁלֵּ֔חוּ אֶל־מִח֥וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖ה תְּשַׁלְּח֑וּם וְלֹ֤א יְטַמְּאוּ֙ אֶת־מַ֣חֲנֵיהֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲנִ֖י שֹׁכֵ֥ן בְּתוֹכָֽם׃

4
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּaֽ'ashsu-ken֙ bּene֣y yishsera'e֔l vayeshshalּech֣u 'ota֔m 'el-mich֖utz laֽmּachane֑h kּa'ashshe֨r dּibּe֤r yehvah֙ 'el-moshshe֔h kּe֥n 'ashs֖u bּene֥y yishsera'eֽl׃p
Edified Edition (EDE)The Israelites did this; they sent them outside the camp, just as the LORD had told Moses.

וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־כֵן֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיְשַׁלְּח֣וּ אוֹתָ֔ם אֶל־מִח֖וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה כֵּ֥ן עָשׂ֖וּ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃פ

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayedabּe֥r yehva֖h 'el-moshshe֥h lּe'moֽr׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The LORD said to Moses:

וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃

6
Phonetic (Hebrew): dּabּer֮ 'el-bּene֣y yishsera'el֒ 'i֣yshsh 'ֽo-'ishshּa֗h kּi֤y ya'ashsu֙ mikּal-chatּo֣'t haֽ'ada֔m lime'o֥l ma֖'al bּayhva֑h ve'aֽshshema֖h hanּe֥peshsh hahiֽv'׃
Edified Edition (EDE)"Say to the Israelites: 'When a man or woman wrongs another person in any way and so is unfaithful to the LORD, that person is guilty.

דַּבֵּר֮ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ אִ֣ישׁ אֽוֹ־אִשָּׁ֗ה כִּ֤י יַעֲשׂוּ֙ מִכָּל־חַטֹּ֣את הָֽאָדָ֔ם לִמְעֹ֥ל מַ֖עַל בַּיהוָ֑ה וְאָֽשְׁמָ֖ה הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַהִֽוא׃

7
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehitevadּ֗u 'eֽt-chatּa'tam֮ 'ashshe֣r 'ashsu֒ veheshshi֤yb 'et-'ashshamo֙ bּero'shsh֔o vachamiyshshit֖o yose֣p 'ala֑yv venata֕n la'ashshe֖r 'ashsha֥m lֽo׃
Edified Edition (EDE)They must confess the sin they have committed and make full restitution for the wrong they have done, adding twenty per cent to the value and giving it to the person they wronged.

וְהִתְוַדּ֗וּ אֶֽת־חַטָּאתָם֮ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשׂוּ֒ וְהֵשִׁ֤יב אֶת־אֲשָׁמוֹ֙ בְּרֹאשׁ֔וֹ וַחֲמִישִׁת֖וֹ יֹסֵ֣ף עָלָ֑יו וְנָתַ֕ן לַאֲשֶׁ֖ר אָשַׁ֥ם לֽוֹ׃

8
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'im-'e֨yn la'i֜yshsh gּo'e֗l lehashshi֤yb ha'ashsham֙ 'ela֔yv ha'ashsha֛m hamּushsha֥b layhva֖h lakּohe֑n milּeba֗d 'e֚yl hakּipּuri֔ym 'ashshe֥r yekapּer-bּ֖o 'alaֽyv׃
Edified Edition (EDE)But if that person has no close relative to receive the restitution, the restitution belongs to the LORD and must be given to the priest, along with the ram used for atonement.

וְאִם־אֵ֨ין לָאִ֜ישׁ גֹּאֵ֗ל לְהָשִׁ֤יב הָאָשָׁם֙ אֵלָ֔יו הָאָשָׁ֛ם הַמּוּשָׁ֥ב לַיהוָ֖ה לַכֹּהֵ֑ן מִלְּבַ֗ד אֵ֚יל הַכִּפֻּרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר יְכַפֶּר־בּ֖וֹ עָלָֽיו׃

9
Phonetic (Hebrew): vekal-tּeruma֞h lekal-qadeshshe֧y beney-yishsera'e֛l 'ashsher-yaqeri֥ybu lakּohe֖n l֥o yiheyeֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)All the sacred gifts the Israelites bring to the priest will belong to him.

וְכָל־תְּרוּמָ֞ה לְכָל־קָדְשֵׁ֧י בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל אֲשֶׁר־יַקְרִ֥יבוּ לַכֹּהֵ֖ן ל֥וֹ יִהְיֶֽה׃

10
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'i֥yshsh 'et-qodashsha֖yv l֣o yihey֑u 'i֛yshsh 'ashsher-yitּe֥n lakּohe֖n l֥o yiheyeֽh׃p
Edified Edition (EDE)Each person’s sacred gifts are their own, but whatever anyone gives to the priest belongs to the priest.'"

וְאִ֥ישׁ אֶת־קֳדָשָׁ֖יו ל֣וֹ יִהְי֑וּ אִ֛ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־יִתֵּ֥ן לַכֹּהֵ֖ן ל֥וֹ יִהְיֶֽה׃פ

11
Phonetic (Hebrew): vayedabּe֥r yehva֖h 'el-moshshe֥h lּe'moֽr׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The LORD said to Moses:

וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃

12
Phonetic (Hebrew): dּabּer֙ 'el-bּene֣y yishsera'e֔l ve'amaretּa֖ 'alehe֑m 'i֥yshsh 'iyshsh֙ kּiֽy-tishsete֣h 'ishshetּ֔o uma'ala֥h b֖o maֽ'al׃
Edified Edition (EDE)"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'Suppose a man’s wife goes astray and is unfaithful to him,

דַּבֵּר֙ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ אֲלֵהֶ֑ם אִ֥ישׁ אִישׁ֙ כִּֽי־תִשְׂטֶ֣ה אִשְׁתּ֔וֹ וּמָעֲלָ֥ה ב֖וֹ מָֽעַל׃

13
Phonetic (Hebrew): veshshaka֨b 'i֣yshsh 'otahּ֮ shshikebat-zera'֒ vene'elam֙ me'eyne֣y 'iyshsha֔hּ venisetּera֖h vehi֣y nitema֑'ah ve'ed֙ 'e֣yn bּa֔hּ vehi֖v lo֥ nitepּaֽshsah׃
Edified Edition (EDE)and another man has sexual relations with her, but it is hidden from her husband and there is no witness against her, and she was not caught in the act.

וְשָׁכַ֨ב אִ֣ישׁ אֹתָהּ֮ שִׁכְבַת־זֶרַע֒ וְנֶעְלַם֙ מֵעֵינֵ֣י אִישָׁ֔הּ וְנִסְתְּרָ֖ה וְהִ֣יא נִטְמָ֑אָה וְעֵד֙ אֵ֣ין בָּ֔הּ וְהִ֖וא לֹ֥א נִתְפָּֽשָׂה׃

14
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'aba֨r 'ala֧yv rֽucha-qine'a֛h veqinּe֥ 'et-'ishshetּ֖o vehi֣v nitema֑'ah 'o-'aba֨r 'ala֤yv rֽucha-qine'ah֙ veqinּe֣ 'et-'ishshetּ֔o vehi֖y lo֥ nitemaֽ'ah׃
Edified Edition (EDE)If a spirit of jealousy comes over the husband and he suspects his wife, whether she is actually defiled or not,

וְעָבַ֨ר עָלָ֧יו רֽוּחַ־קִנְאָ֛ה וְקִנֵּ֥א אֶת־אִשְׁתּ֖וֹ וְהִ֣וא נִטְמָ֑אָה אוֹ־עָבַ֨ר עָלָ֤יו רֽוּחַ־קִנְאָה֙ וְקִנֵּ֣א אֶת־אִשְׁתּ֔וֹ וְהִ֖יא לֹ֥א נִטְמָֽאָה׃

15
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehebi֨y ha'i֣yshsh 'et-'ishshetּo֮ 'el-hakּohen֒ vehebi֤y 'et-qarebּanahּ֙ 'ale֔yha 'ashsiyri֥t ha'eypa֖h qe֣mach shse'ori֑ym loֽ'-yitzo֨q 'ala֜yv shshe֗men veloֽ'-yitּe֤n 'alayv֙ lebona֔h kּiֽy-minecha֤t qena'ot֙ h֔u minecha֥t zikּar֖on mazekּe֥ret 'avoֽn׃
Edified Edition (EDE)he must take his wife to the priest. He must also bring an offering of two pounds of barley flour for her. He must not pour olive oil on it or put incense on it, because it is a grain offering for jealousy, an offering of memorial to bring wrongdoing to light.

וְהֵבִ֨יא הָאִ֣ישׁ אֶת־אִשְׁתּוֹ֮ אֶל־הַכֹּהֵן֒ וְהֵבִ֤יא אֶת־קָרְבָּנָהּ֙ עָלֶ֔יהָ עֲשִׂירִ֥ת הָאֵיפָ֖ה קֶ֣מַח שְׂעֹרִ֑ים לֹֽא־יִצֹ֨ק עָלָ֜יו שֶׁ֗מֶן וְלֹֽא־יִתֵּ֤ן עָלָיו֙ לְבֹנָ֔ה כִּֽי־מִנְחַ֤ת קְנָאֹת֙ ה֔וּא מִנְחַ֥ת זִכָּר֖וֹן מַזְכֶּ֥רֶת עָוֺֽן׃

16
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehiqeri֥yb 'ota֖hּ hakּohe֑n veheֽ'emida֖hּ lipene֥y yehvaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The priest shall bring her forward and have her stand before the LORD.

וְהִקְרִ֥יב אֹתָ֖הּ הַכֹּהֵ֑ן וְהֶֽעֱמִדָ֖הּ לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

17
Phonetic (Hebrew): velaqa֧ch hakּohe֛n ma֥yim qedoshshi֖ym bּikeliy-cha֑reshs umin-heֽ'apa֗r 'ashshe֤r yiheyeh֙ bּeqareqa֣ hamּishshekּa֔n yiqּa֥ch hakּohe֖n venata֥n 'el-hamּaֽyim׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Then the priest shall take some holy water in a clay jar and put some dust from the Tabernacle floor into the water.

וְלָקַ֧ח הַכֹּהֵ֛ן מַ֥יִם קְדֹשִׁ֖ים בִּכְלִי־חָ֑רֶשׂ וּמִן־הֶֽעָפָ֗ר אֲשֶׁ֤ר יִהְיֶה֙ בְּקַרְקַ֣ע הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן יִקַּ֥ח הַכֹּהֵ֖ן וְנָתַ֥ן אֶל־הַמָּֽיִם׃

18
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehe'emi֨yd hakּohe֥n 'eֽt-ha'ishshּah֮ lipene֣y yehvah֒ upara'֙ 'et-ro֣'shsh haֽ'ishshּa֔h venata֣n 'al-kּapּe֗yha 'e֚t minecha֣t hazּikּar֔on minecha֥t qena'o֖t hi֑v ubeya֤d hakּohen֙ yihey֔u me֥y hamּari֖ym hame'aֽrariֽym׃
Edified Edition (EDE)After the priest has the woman stand before the LORD, he shall loosen her hair and place in her hands the offering of memorial, the grain offering for jealousy. The priest himself will hold the bitter water that brings a curse.

וְהֶעֱמִ֨יד הַכֹּהֵ֥ן אֶֽת־הָאִשָּׁה֮ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָה֒ וּפָרַע֙ אֶת־רֹ֣אשׁ הָֽאִשָּׁ֔ה וְנָתַ֣ן עַל־כַּפֶּ֗יהָ אֵ֚ת מִנְחַ֣ת הַזִּכָּר֔וֹן מִנְחַ֥ת קְנָאֹ֖ת הִ֑וא וּבְיַ֤ד הַכֹּהֵן֙ יִהְי֔וּ מֵ֥י הַמָּרִ֖ים הַמְאָֽרֲרִֽים׃

19
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehishshebּi֨y'a 'ota֜hּ hakּohe֗n ve'ama֤r 'el-haֽ'ishshּah֙ 'im-lo֨ shshaka֥b 'iyshsh֙ 'ota֔ke ve'im-lo֥ shsati֛yt tume'a֖h tּa֣chat 'iyshshe֑ke hinּaqi֕y mimּe֛y hamּari֥ym haֽme'arari֖ym ha'eֽlּeh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)Then the priest shall put the woman under oath and say to her, "If no other man has had relations with you and you have not gone astray and become defiled while married to your husband, may this bitter water that brings a curse not harm you.

וְהִשְׁבִּ֨יעַ אֹתָ֜הּ הַכֹּהֵ֗ן וְאָמַ֤ר אֶל־הָֽאִשָּׁה֙ אִם־לֹ֨א שָׁכַ֥ב אִישׁ֙ אֹתָ֔ךְ וְאִם־לֹ֥א שָׂטִ֛ית טֻמְאָ֖ה תַּ֣חַת אִישֵׁ֑ךְ הִנָּקִ֕י מִמֵּ֛י הַמָּרִ֥ים הַֽמְאָרֲרִ֖ים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃

20
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'a֗tּe kּi֥y shsati֛yt tּa֥chat 'iyshshe֖ke veki֣y niteme֑'t vayּitּe֨n 'i֥yshsh bּake֙ 'et-shshekabetּ֔o miֽbּale'ade֖y 'iyshsheֽke׃
Edified Edition (EDE)But if you have gone astray while married to your husband and have defiled yourself by having relations with a man other than your husband",

וְאַ֗תְּ כִּ֥י שָׂטִ֛ית תַּ֥חַת אִישֵׁ֖ךְ וְכִ֣י נִטְמֵ֑את וַיִּתֵּ֨ן אִ֥ישׁ בָּךְ֙ אֶת־שְׁכָבְתּ֔וֹ מִֽבַּלְעֲדֵ֖י אִישֵֽׁךְ׃

21
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehishshebּi֨y'a hakּohe֥n 'eֽt-haֽ'ishshּah֮ bּishshebu'a֣t ha'alah֒ ve'ama֤r hakּohen֙ laֽ'ishshּa֔h yitּe֨n yehva֥h 'ota֛ke le'ala֥h velishshebu'a֖h bּet֣oke 'amּe֑ke bּete֨t yehva֤h 'et-yerekeke֙ nope֔let ve'et-bּitene֖ke tzabaֽh׃
Edified Edition (EDE)here the priest is to put the woman under the curse of the oath, "may the LORD make you a curse and an oath among your people by making your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell.

וְהִשְׁבִּ֨יעַ הַכֹּהֵ֥ן אֶֽת־הָֽאִשָּׁה֮ בִּשְׁבֻעַ֣ת הָאָלָה֒ וְאָמַ֤ר הַכֹּהֵן֙ לָֽאִשָּׁ֔ה יִתֵּ֨ן יְהוָ֥ה אוֹתָ֛ךְ לְאָלָ֥ה וְלִשְׁבֻעָ֖ה בְּת֣וֹךְ עַמֵּ֑ךְ בְּתֵ֨ת יְהוָ֤ה אֶת־יְרֵכֵךְ֙ נֹפֶ֔לֶת וְאֶת־בִּטְנֵ֖ךְ צָבָֽה׃

22
Phonetic (Hebrew): u֠ba'u hamּa֨yim hame'areri֤ym ha'e֨lּeh֙ bּeֽme'a֔yike latzebּ֥ot bּe֖ten velanepּi֣l yare֑ke ve'amera֥h ha'ishshּa֖h 'ame֥n ׀ 'ameֽn׃
Edified Edition (EDE)May this water that brings a curse enter your body and cause your abdomen to swell and your womb to miscarry." Then the woman shall say, "Amen, Amen."

וּ֠בָאוּ הַמַּ֨יִם הַמְאָרְרִ֤ים הָאֵ֨לֶּה֙ בְּֽמֵעַ֔יִךְ לַצְבּ֥וֹת בֶּ֖טֶן וְלַנְפִּ֣ל יָרֵ֑ךְ וְאָמְרָ֥ה הָאִשָּׁ֖ה אָמֵ֥ן ׀ אָמֵֽן׃

23
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve֠katab 'et-ha'alo֥t ha'e֛lּeh hakּohe֖n bּasּe֑per umacha֖h 'el-me֥y hamּariֽym׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The priest is to write these curses on a scroll and then wash them off into the bitter water.

וְ֠כָתַב אֶת־הָאָלֹ֥ת הָאֵ֛לֶּה הַכֹּהֵ֖ן בַּסֵּ֑פֶר וּמָחָ֖ה אֶל־מֵ֥י הַמָּרִֽים׃

24
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehishsheqah֙ 'et-ha֣'ishshּa֔h 'et-me֥y hamּari֖ym hame'aֽrari֑ym uba֥'u ba֛hּ hamּa֥yim haֽme'arari֖ym lemariֽym׃
Edified Edition (EDE)He shall make the woman drink the bitter water that brings a curse, and this water that causes suffering will enter her.

וְהִשְׁקָה֙ אֶת־הָ֣אִשָּׁ֔ה אֶת־מֵ֥י הַמָּרִ֖ים הַמְאָֽרֲרִ֑ים וּבָ֥אוּ בָ֛הּ הַמַּ֥יִם הַֽמְאָרֲרִ֖ים לְמָרִֽים׃

25
Phonetic (Hebrew): velaqa֤ch hakּohen֙ miyּa֣d haֽ'ishshּa֔h 'e֖t minecha֣t haqּena'o֑t veheni֤yp 'et-hamּinechah֙ lipene֣y yehva֔h vehiqeri֥yb 'ota֖hּ 'el-hamּizebּeֽcha׃
Edified Edition (EDE)The priest is to take the grain offering for jealousy from her hand, wave it before the LORD, and bring it to the altar.

וְלָקַ֤ח הַכֹּהֵן֙ מִיַּ֣ד הָֽאִשָּׁ֔ה אֵ֖ת מִנְחַ֣ת הַקְּנָאֹ֑ת וְהֵנִ֤יף אֶת־הַמִּנְחָה֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וְהִקְרִ֥יב אֹתָ֖הּ אֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃

26
Phonetic (Hebrew): veqama֨tz hakּohe֤n min-hamּinechah֙ 'et-'azekּa֣rata֔hּ vehiqeti֖yr hamּizebּe֑chah ve'acha֛r yashsheqe֥h 'et-ha'ishshּa֖h 'et-hamּaֽyim׃
Edified Edition (EDE)He shall take a handful of the grain offering as a memorial portion and burn it on the altar; after that, he is to make the woman drink the water.

וְקָמַ֨ץ הַכֹּהֵ֤ן מִן־הַמִּנְחָה֙ אֶת־אַזְכָּ֣רָתָ֔הּ וְהִקְטִ֖יר הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָה וְאַחַ֛ר יַשְׁקֶ֥ה אֶת־הָאִשָּׁ֖ה אֶת־הַמָּֽיִם׃

27
Phonetic (Hebrew): vehishsheqa֣hּ 'et-hamּa֗yim vehayeta֣h 'iֽm-niteme'ah֮ vatּime'o֣l ma֣'al bּe'iyshshahּ֒ uba֨'u ba֜hּ hamּa֤yim hame'ֽarariym֙ lemari֔ym vetzabeta֣h bitena֔hּ venapela֖h yereka֑hּ vehayeta֧h ha'ishshּa֛h le'ala֖h bּeqe֥reb 'amּaֽhּ׃
Edified Edition (EDE)If she has defiled herself and been unfaithful to her husband, then when she drinks the water that brings a curse, it will cause her bitter suffering; her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse among her people.

וְהִשְׁקָ֣הּ אֶת־הַמַּ֗יִם וְהָיְתָ֣ה אִֽם־נִטְמְאָה֮ וַתִּמְעֹ֣ל מַ֣עַל בְּאִישָׁהּ֒ וּבָ֨אוּ בָ֜הּ הַמַּ֤יִם הַמְאָֽרֲרִים֙ לְמָרִ֔ים וְצָבְתָ֣ה בִטְנָ֔הּ וְנָפְלָ֖ה יְרֵכָ֑הּ וְהָיְתָ֧ה הָאִשָּׁ֛ה לְאָלָ֖ה בְּקֶ֥רֶב עַמָּֽהּ׃

28
Phonetic (Hebrew): ve'im-lo֤ niteme'ah֙ haֽ'ishshּa֔h utehora֖h hi֑v veniqּeta֖h venizere'a֥h zaֽra'׃
Edified Edition (EDE)But if the woman has not defiled herself and is pure, she will be unharmed and will still be able to have children.

וְאִם־לֹ֤א נִטְמְאָה֙ הָֽאִשָּׁ֔ה וּטְהֹרָ֖ה הִ֑וא וְנִקְּתָ֖ה וְנִזְרְעָ֥ה זָֽרַע׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): zo֥'t tּora֖t haqּena'o֑t 'ashshe֨r tּishsete֥h 'ishshּa֛h tּa֥chat 'iyshsha֖hּ venitemaֽ'ah׃
Edified Edition (EDE)This, then, is the law of jealousy when a woman goes astray and defiles herself while married to her husband,

זֹ֥את תּוֹרַ֖ת הַקְּנָאֹ֑ת אֲשֶׁ֨ר תִּשְׂטֶ֥ה אִשָּׁ֛ה תַּ֥חַת אִישָׁ֖הּ וְנִטְמָֽאָה׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ֣o 'i֗yshsh 'ashshe֨r tּa'abo֥r 'ala֛yv r֥ucha qine'a֖h veqinּe֣ 'et-'ishshetּ֑o vehe'emi֤yd 'et-haֽ'ishshּah֙ lipene֣y yehva֔h ve'a֤shsah lahּ֙ hakּohe֔n 'e֥t kּal-hatּora֖h hazּoֽ't׃
Edified Edition (EDE)or when a spirit of jealousy comes over a man and he suspects his wife. The priest shall have her stand before the LORD and apply this entire law to her.

א֣וֹ אִ֗ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֨ר תַּעֲבֹ֥ר עָלָ֛יו ר֥וּחַ קִנְאָ֖ה וְקִנֵּ֣א אֶת־אִשְׁתּ֑וֹ וְהֶעֱמִ֤יד אֶת־הָֽאִשָּׁה֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וְעָ֤שָׂה לָהּ֙ הַכֹּהֵ֔ן אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַתּוֹרָ֖ה הַזֹּֽאת׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): veniqּa֥h ha'i֖yshsh me'avo֑n veha'ishshּa֣h hahi֔v tּishsּa֖ 'et-'avonaֽhּ׃p
Edified Edition (EDE)The husband will be innocent of any wrongdoing, but the woman will bear the consequences of her sin.'"

וְנִקָּ֥ה הָאִ֖ישׁ מֵעָוֺ֑ן וְהָאִשָּׁ֣ה הַהִ֔וא תִּשָּׂ֖א אֶת־עֲוֺנָֽהּ׃פ
