Chapter 29

Phonetic (Hebrew): mizem֗or leda֫vi֥d hab֣u lֽa֭yhvah bּene֣y 'eli֑ym hab֥u la֝yhva֗h kּab֥od va'oֽz׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

מִזְמ֗וֹר לְדָ֫וִ֥ד הָב֣וּ לַֽ֭יהוָה בְּנֵ֣י אֵלִ֑ים הָב֥וּ לַ֝יהוָ֗ה כָּב֥וֹד וָעֹֽז׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): hab֣u laֽ֭yhvah kּeb֣od shshem֑o hishshetּachav֥u la֝yhva֗h bּehaderat-qoֽdeshsh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)Ascribe to the LORD the glory due to his name; worship the LORD in the splendour of his holiness.

הָב֣וּ לַֽ֭יהוָה כְּב֣וֹד שְׁמ֑וֹ הִשְׁתַּחֲו֥וּ לַ֝יהוָ֗ה בְּהַדְרַת־קֹֽדֶשׁ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): q֥ol yehva֗h 'al-ha֫mּa֥yim 'eֽl-hakּab֥od hire'i֑ym ye֝hva֗h 'al-ma֥yim rabּiֽym׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the LORD thunders over the mighty waters.

ק֥וֹל יְהוָ֗ה עַל־הַ֫מָּ֥יִם אֵֽל־הַכָּב֥וֹד הִרְעִ֑ים יְ֝הוָ֗ה עַל־מַ֥יִם רַבִּֽים׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): qol-yehva֥h bּakּo֑cha q֥ol ye֝hva֗h bּehadaֽr׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.

קוֹל־יְהוָ֥ה בַּכֹּ֑חַ ק֥וֹל יְ֝הוָ֗ה בֶּהָדָֽר׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): q֣ol ye֭hvah shshobe֣r 'arazi֑ym vayeshshabּe֥r ye֝hva֗h 'et-'areze֥y halּebanֽon׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

ק֣וֹל יְ֭הוָה שֹׁבֵ֣ר אֲרָזִ֑ים וַיְשַׁבֵּ֥ר יְ֝הוָ֗ה אֶת־אַרְזֵ֥י הַלְּבָנֽוֹן׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): vayּareqiyde֥m kּemo-'e֑gel leban֥on ve֝shsireyo֗n kּem֣o ben-re'emiֽym׃

Edified Edition (EDE)He makes Lebanon leap like a calf, Sirion like a young wild ox.

וַיַּרְקִידֵ֥ם כְּמוֹ־עֵ֑גֶל לְבָנ֥וֹן וְ֝שִׂרְיֹ֗ן כְּמ֣וֹ בֶן־רְאֵמִֽים׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): qol-yehva֥h chotze֗b lahab֥ot 'eֽshsh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The voice of the LORD strikes with flashes of lightning.

קוֹל־יְהוָ֥ה חֹצֵ֗ב לַהֲב֥וֹת אֵֽשׁ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): q֣ol ye֭hvah yachi֣yl midebּa֑r yachi֥yl ye֝hva֗h midebּa֥r qadeֽshsh׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The voice of the LORD shakes the desert; the LORD shakes the Desert of Kadesh.

ק֣וֹל יְ֭הוָה יָחִ֣יל מִדְבָּ֑ר יָחִ֥יל יְ֝הוָ֗ה מִדְבַּ֥ר קָדֵֽשׁ׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): q֤ol yehva֨h ׀ yechole֣l 'ayּalot֮ vaֽyּecheshso֪p ye'a֫r֥ot ubeheykal֑o kּu֝lּ֗o 'ome֥r kּabֽod׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The voice of the LORD twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. And in his temple all cry, "Glory!"

ק֤וֹל יְהוָ֨ה ׀ יְחוֹלֵ֣ל אַיָּלוֹת֮ וַֽיֶּחֱשֹׂ֪ף יְעָ֫ר֥וֹת וּבְהֵיכָל֑וֹ כֻּ֝לּ֗וֹ אֹמֵ֥ר כָּבֽוֹד׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): ye֭hvah lamּabּ֣ul yashsha֑b vayּe֥shsheb ye֝hva֗h me֣leke le'olaֽm׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King for ever.

יְ֭הוָה לַמַּבּ֣וּל יָשָׁ֑ב וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב יְ֝הוָ֗ה מֶ֣לֶךְ לְעוֹלָֽם׃

Phonetic (Hebrew): yeֽhva֗h 'o֭z le'amּ֣o yitּe֑n yehva֓h ׀ yebare֖ke 'et-'amּ֣o bashshּalֽom׃

Edified Edition (EDE)The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.

יְֽהוָ֗ה עֹ֭ז לְעַמּ֣וֹ יִתֵּ֑ן יְהוָ֓ה ׀ יְבָרֵ֖ךְ אֶת־עַמּ֣וֹ בַשָּׁלֽוֹם׃
